So let's just put it out there, I love ❤ me some Thai food. My son knows it and recommended this place. It took me forever to try it but when I did I instantly knew this would be a new "go to" spot for me.

First impressions are EVERYTHING and when I called in to place my order they were very friendly and helpful over the phone. The ordering process was easy and straightforward.

Upon my arrival to pick up my order I was greeted with a smile and excellent customer service. The restaurant itself was beautiful and very clean. The staff was hard at work making sure everything stayed tidy, customers were served and everything ran like a well oiled machine.

I ordered Shrimp Basil Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon and Vegetable Spring Rolls w/ extra Peanut Sauce. My husband ordered Combination Basil Fried Rice, Shrimp Spring Rolls w/ Extra Peanut Sauce and Crab Rangoon (I find it difficult to share Crab Rangoon - I'm working on it, okay 🤦🏽‍♀️).

Everything was delicious and very flavorful. The food was fresh, hot and well seasoned. The shrimp were clean and deveined - which is a MUST for me.

Pricing is pretty on par with other area Thai restaurants. It's not the cheapest food to eat but you get what you pay for and the quality of the food, customer service and overall experience is outstanding. They also offer a wide selection of menu offerings which I'm sure are all superb. I've heard wonderful things about their Pho. I'll definitely be trying that soon.

this place is spectacular. the ambiance inside is honestly shocking given the outside appearance. the wait staff is super kind and friendly. i got the mango curry and i would definitely recommend it. the thai hot option is pretty hot, but if you like spicy food, you’ll wish it could be hotter. overall, i highly recommend this place!

I ordered the Mango Salmon with Red Curry and medium spice level and loved it, a great sweet and spicy flavor combination. My fiance ordered the Tamarind Chicken and he was also very pleased. Service was excellent, we will be back!

I ordered papaya salad which is $12.95 . The portion they gave is barely a bite . It is definitely overpriced! Very disappointed

the workers here are so kind and accomodating! i got the kao soi (curry noodles) and simply did not like them. my server immediately took it off the bill and asked what i would like instead of them. i got what my bf got which was the tamarind chicken and it was so yummy!! the tiger beef appetizer is also very yummy. food and service was super quick as well! overall great experience and we want to come here again

The food is always great and the ginger tea is special. Sometimes there is a language barrier issue but the food is worth it and the atmosphere is a very comfortable and well done. I always love the yellow curry!

Small cozy establishment. My waitress was very friendly and pleasant!! The Staff was busy multi tasking wherever needed, (I assumed they were short staffed) but I Never saw anyone of them stop to sanitize or wash their hands. My Thai rice was just a tad bit salty as well.

Excellent Thai at great prices! Just off state line makes it super convenient, especially for take out. We got a bunch of stuff, curries, stir fries, dumplings, everything was well cooked and super flavorful.

If you want spicy, probably go for hot, medium was pretty mild.

Amazing!!! The Green and Red Curry are so delicious. Medium heat was the perfect amount of spice to still get the flavor, taste the sweetness, and have some heat building over time.

Beautiful hidden gem in south KC. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great for a quick lunch or dinner. The lunch special is more than enough food at a great price. I had the lunch special with Pad See Ew that came with hot and sour soup and two crab rangoon. I also went for the Thai ice tea. To say I am full and satisfied is an understatement. If you’re craving Thai food, I definitely recommend making your way to Cozy Thai.

Excellent Phad Thai, some of the best I've ever had.

It’s just the best. The noodles, any entree really, the rice, omg the dang rice, it’s the best fried rice I’ve ever had (I’ll sometimes…okay weekly, I’ll go there for Tiger Cry Beef and side of fried rice). Go there and try anything, you’ll be happy!

Wow the garlic pepper chicken was amazing, so was the hot & sour soup.

I had the Drunken Noodle, spice level 3 out of 4 and it was great. My wife had the Cashew Chicken and she liked it too. We shared an order of shrimp fresh rolls that were really fresh and delicious. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars on atmosphere because their booth seating could use some better padding. Will go here again.

Not one person acknowledged me when I walked in. The lady was entering something into the computer and did not look my way. We're literally an arms length away. After a few minutes she says "just one moment." A guy walked in and she immediately said "hi, I'll be with you shortly." A bit frustrating.

The food was dry and meh but the portions are a good size and it's a lovely location for a date or meeting.

11 dollar lunch special is perfect. Enough food for the rest of the day and still plenty light

While this review is a bit late, this place was/is absolutely incredible. From the apps we ordered to the entrees we thoroughly enjoyed, my hubby and I couldn't stop raving about the fresh flavors, generous portions, prompt / friendly service, and affordable prices! Would highly recommend their lunch specials (Drunken Noodles specifically), Jalapeno Bombs (wish we could have ordered several more to go!), sushi (Spicy Tuna); and not to be forgotten, their crab rangoons were made with crab, unlike many other places with just cream cheese! Again, highly, highly recommend this restaurant and plan on visiting next time we are in town.

Outstanding crab fried rice. I get takeout lunch often while I'm at work and it's always ready quickly. They misheard me once over the phone and made me chicken fried rice, but I took it anyway and it was also delicious.

Got the teriyaki chicken and crab rangoons. I absolutely will be coming back for the chicken. The crab rangoons used a "too crispy too thin (imo)" shell; like the shell for spring rolls to give you some idea, and they are not my favorite. I understand that is how some people prefer them but I did not. Doesn't hurt my 5 star score since the chicken was so good and came with the perfect vegetables. Carrots, asparagus, and broccoli. Might have to try a larger vegetable plate next time since they were so good. Thanks for the great takeout. Edit: the rangoons are better now, I’ve got them since the time of the original review and they are improved.

The food is delicious! I had the fresh spring rolls, pot stickers, shrimp tempura, spicy thai basil, and pad woon Sen. We had the spice medium which was perfect. The portions were appropriate size and the prices were very affordable. They also had lots of vegetarian options and were accomdating on my friends peanut allergy. 10/10 on food 🥰

The service wasn't the best though. When we were sat (party of 6) we didn't get silverware. It wasn't until long after our appetizers were out and we had to ask our server for them. They were good about refilling our water but didn't really check on us other than that. They also didn't tell us gratuity was automatically included. I know larger parties it typically is but I always assumed it was 8+ like most restaurants.

We would still come back because it was so delicious. But we may to to-go from now on.

Cute place. The food was good. We had the duck, pad Thai, and calamari. The calamari was rubbery. We went a time before and it was very buttery. Maybe it was a bad batch?
Pad Thai noodles were good. I think if we had gotten the spices so we could customize it ourselves, it would have been better. The duck dish was very good.
I think in time, this place will blossom.

I can't stress enough, this was honestly the best made food I have ever had in my life. I cook a lot. This food deserves so much respect. We're were joking about it being being what you would get at a Michelin star kinda place (never been myself) but if it ended up being anything like this is id be so beyond happy. Can't recommend trying enough. Drove an hour to come here on a whim.

I eat at Cozy Thai 2-3 times a month. Today is the first time I had to do take out. I wanted to place 2 orders. I was told that you do not get soup or salad with take out. Same price, but no soup or salad. Why is that? I went to the Thai restaurant on Wornall. Not a good policy!

We ordered out for dinner. 3 entrees and 2 appetizers. Big bag of food was very hot and well packed. I cook a lot of Thai and we have tried many places around K.C, and this is a new favorite! Good heat in the medium and hot selections and tons of fresh flavor. Can't wait to return and try all new selections. The dumplings and Pad Gapow were my favorites

Very spicy even when done mild but the portion and taste is good. Price is ok but it could be better the amount of pork i got for additional price was not worth it. I ordered a padtai . I would come back again.

Never answer phone, have attempted to order online or via phone multiple times and they never answer. When they did finally respond they charged my card after finally processing my order TWO(2) hours later. I had to call 5 times before anyone picked up so I could get a refund. Do not recommend.

We've wanted to try Cozy Thai for a long time and last night we finally made it happen. It was worth the wait. The place is immaculate in terms of cleanliness, which is a big indicator to us of how the food will come out. The staff were delightful and attentive, and the food came out quickly as we were the only patrons at 845pm. The crab rangoon were light, crispy and just the right amount of sweet. The best we've eaten in KC! Our main dishes were full of flavor and presented beautifully. Great portion sizes and prices were excellent considering quality and amount of food.

Hands down, the best Thai restaurant in KC is Cozy Thai. Can't wait to return!

Went to this place because it was convenient to where we had just done a hike and we were hungry! The service was pleasant and attentive, but the food was a bit lackluster. That is, the lunch specials were priced pleasantly, and well-served, but the tastes were not bright, interesting, or novel. The massaman curry was a bit quiet, without the fascinating peanut flavors. The pad thai was heavy on the fish/oyster sauce, and was not the best that we have tried. In sum, good but not great ...

Table for 8 at 4pm! Great service, great food. The teams was gracious enough to fix another dish when a glass got broken just as food arrive and glass ended up in some food, totally, the fault of our table. THANK YOU! Appetizers included crab Rangoon, spring rolls, tiger cry beef, and dumblings. All were great. Dishes included Tom Yum Chicken, Pinnacle Fried Rice w Tofu, Massaman Curry, and Sweet & Sour Chicken. All were either ordered medium or hot.

This is a great after work dinner spot, and they have great lunch specials. I love their drunken noodles, and its always clean and has good vibes
