I was completely suprised at how great dinner was!! I eat sushi all over the Twin Cities, but this place has now moved to the top of my favorites. The portion sizes were well above average. Everything was fresh. The tempura was incredible. The prices are more reasonable than most other places and the service was impeccable. They also have a wasabi bloody Mary that is unlike anything I’ve ever had. Great diversity on the menu. There’s lots to eat if you don’t want traditional sushi.

We stopped here last night on our way home from the cities. They were packed, but the service was outstanding. Our waitress was beyond kind and the food was spectacular. So flavorful. The snow mountain roll was one of the most delicious pieces of sushi I've ever had. My teriyaki shrimp was some of the best I've ever had and my husband loved the kobe style beef. Loved the atmosphere and the display of the food. 10/10 would recommend.

This restaurant has both a sushi menu and quite a large Asian menu. When we arrived at 7 pm on a Sunday, the restaurant was two-thirds empty, but service was a little slow. Their sushi and sashimi was fresh and good quality. The spicy tuna rolls were surprisingly large.

We enjoyed Miyabi for supper this week. They serve fantastic sushi, edamame, and tempura. We have been there multiple times and find both the staff and atmosphere welcoming. Our dinner guests were pleased and said that they will return, too.

We dropped by again (mid-week), without a reservation and had no problem getting a great table by the window. This time I had the coconut curry soup - it is creamy and well seasoned. A fantastic find.

Yoshi roll and Lotus roll (both pictured) were pretty incredible as well as the yellowtail appetizer that is always my wife's favorite. Don't let the strip-mall facade scare you away, this place is legit.

My favorite sushi place! Every roll we’ve tried is great, cooked or raw. My husband and I love going on our lunch break and ordering off their lunch menu, it’s a great deal! Other than sushi, they have great egg rolls, spicy edamame, wontons, and sweet and sour chicken.

We had excellent food and drinks, and our server (Vivi) was very pleasant and attentive! We'll be back!

Not impressed. Ordered for take out on Christmas and the sushi rolls were falling apart, so bad we had to eat with a spoon. Extremely disappointed and not sure I would order again for that reason.

We are regulars with Miyabi, but they need to do a better job of checking orders before they are picked up. Missing items is unacceptable.

Our first time at Miyabi in Excelsior. Love our Server Ting, she is kind, friendly, welcoming and checked up on us periodically to make sure we are good. They have a large variety of sushi and appetizers, but we had some stir fry dishes that were delicious. Our over all experience was very good, thanks to Ting.

The service here is incredible. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying yourself and especially make your birthday special. The food and drinks are top notch. I highly recommend to everyone.

King crab roll? Really? There was no real crab anywhere for you to charge $14 for a 6 roll piece. Mediocre sushi at best. Service ok.

This is our go-to sushi place. It's always good. Ever eat a deep-fried shrimp head? Try the sweet shrimp if it's still on the menu. All the rolls are good. Sushio is prepaired right in plain sight. We always ask for Andre as our server.

Best sushi I have in had in years. Just came back from Miami and none of their sushi entrees can compete and their fish has to be more fresh. Extremely impressed and I will be back in soon. :)

We stopped by last minute just before closing. The host was super welcoming and Tina - our server was so kind and gracious. We had the best coconut curry soup, pad Thai and green curry! Thanks for the dessert, we will be back soon!

We have been here 3 times in the last 6 months. My wife and I love it. She is a Foody and rates the sushi with the best because it is. RECOMMEND the BMW roll. Staff is great and on the spot with service.

Hands down some of the best sushi I've had and I'm picky. Those lo mein noodles are 🔥. The house cab is fantastic and I'm a wino. The BMW roll is #1. But seriously this place is great

Best Asian food venue I know in Minnesota.

My girlfriend and I decided to try Miyabis on Jan 14th as we were craving sushi. Upon ordering it online, we noticed the order was ready within 2 minutes after we placed it. We thought it was a little odd. After picking it up and tasting it, it seemed fine at first. However, within an hour of finishing the California roll I began to have terrible stomach pain. It had felt like I had gotten punched in the stomach. I was then on the toilet for at least an hour. Just when I thought it was something else I ate, the following day my girlfriend threw up violently multiple times at work and was forced to leave. Today, we’re both still feeling ill and cannot leave the bed. We will not be visiting Miyabis again. If we wanted sushi that wasn’t fresh, we would’ve gone to the gas station.

we love! coconut curry soup is the bomb.

Possibly the worst Asian food - no, the worst food - I’ve had in years. We ordered delivery, so couldn’t send it back. After a few bites, into the trash it went. Why? Well the kung pao was strips of dried out chicken and massive chunks of uncooked onion and raw green beans in a cornstarch slurry laced with mouth searing hot pepper. My husband’s shriveled tofu with peanut sauce had no flavor at all. Disgusting.

Everything has always been great here. The fish is very high quality and the service is very good.

Good food but be prepared for a high price tag. Staff was decently attentive, and the atmosphere is chill. But as a single person I spent almost $50. Bathrooms were clean and neat appreciated that. But even with just the food, I skipped dessert and went next-door to the market for dessert. It felt like too much for what I got.

Most bland/tasteless fried rice I have ever had…why is the rice white??? Ordered a side of yum yum sauce that was extra and they only filled it half way. Waste of money.

Miyabi is an excellent sushi restaurant. Great food, excellent staff, and generous cuts of fish. It's a tad expensive but very good quality.

I got the pad Thai and salmon nigiri, my wife got the black diamond roll and coconut curry.

I would highly recommend, coconut curry was my personal favorite. Will go back again just for this. Sushi was mediocre, would stick to the entrees next time.

Gem of a sushi joint in the heart of beautiful little excelsior right on the lake. The apps were delightful and the cocktails superb. Our sushi rolls were crafted with utmost care and attention to detail. Very fun and delicious rolls offered. Tried a couple of other entrees and all of them were delectable. Service was friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to all sushi fanatics.

Sushi was just ok. The sake and cocktail list was very good and the restaurant itself is nice but the food was average for the price.

Really disappointed. Not only did they screw up multiple dishes in my order but the food is also generally bland and sub par. They also forgot sauce on a dish and an included container of white rice. I would not recommend their sushi either. So bummed. So hard to find good asian food out in the burbs.

I am sitting at my table. I asked for a water refill and a second drink almost 15 minutes ago. No drinks, no eye contact from my waitress despite my rubbernecking to catch her attention. Waiting now for the ice in my water glass to melt.

Very good sushi rolls. Pleased with the service and the atmosphere. They seem to go lighter on the sauces than other sushi restaurants, but that seems to be because they are very confident in their flavors with no need to cover it up with sauce.

I came here a few months ago and I can still vividly remember everything I had. The staff were helpful for my first time and even recommended a few items. It was on the expensive side but totally worth every cent!

Also the atmosphere was amazing because I went at a time when they weren't as busy. Miyabi's interior design was very beautiful.

Ordered food there 2 times and was always disappointed. The chicken in the pad thai and fried rice looks like it is pre-bought and reheated, not fresh. I can buy the same slices of "grilled chicken strips" at the frozen section in the grocery store. The sushi is overpriced for what it is and lacks on flavor. It doesn't taste bad, just bland and without any love.

Best sushi in excelsior by far and the service is always friendly. The Thai Mango dish is great and I'd recommend asking for It with the Kobe Beef. The regular beef was is cubes and much too large and a couple I couldn't even eat (the server made it right with a couple free drinks for the kids). Otherwise the dish would be great with either chicken or shrimp. The Udon with shrimp and veggies had lots of shrimp but the broth was average, might just need a pinch of salt.

Struggling, post-lockdown, with staffing issues (like every other restaurant) the service was a little slow and uneven, but the food was delicious and presented beautifully, as always. Miyabi will continue to be a family favorite for us, both dine-in and carry-out.

A friend suggested this place. We dined in a Monday night. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Food was flavorful and fresh.

We did not notice they added an auto 18% gratuity to the bill (party of two, me and my wife) and then sent out a normal receipt w a tip line. They nearly tricked us into double tipping them after poor service. READ YOUR RECEIPT they nearly fooled us into tipping twice. Scummy thing to do.

The best sushi in the twin cities is Sukura's down town St. Paul. Miyabi is a very close second! Delicious 😋

A must-stop for sushi lovers. As someone with Celiac disease, it can be difficult going out to eat, especially eating sushi. Miyabi is one of my favorite restaurants in the Lake Minnetonka area. They have a large selection of gluten free options on the menu including sushi, fried rice, pad thai, edamame, curry, soy sauce, and more. The service is always friendly and attentive and the sushi is fantastic. While it may take a little bit to get your food, as others have mentioned, it's because everything is freshly prepared to order. I really appreciate having delicious, fresh sushi every time I dine here. If you don't like sushi, there are several other items on the menu. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and they practice very safe social distancing/mask wearing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They are very accommodating to our toddler too, who mostly likes to nibble on plain rice and edamame. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you receive. Miyabi is truly a gem in the West Metro and my family absolutely loves dining here frequently. I hope the staff sees this and realizes how much they're appreciated for being part of the community.
