I enjoyed my drunken noodles with tofu (super good tofu). Will definitely visit again and try something different for the pallet. Thanks for a great experience. Also, the soup that accommodated the lunch was a special treat. I added fried dumplings to my order. A good portion for the money. Parking can be a bit challenging across the street so be prepared bto park elsewhere and walk.

This was our first visit to Coastal Thai. We ordered two different soups, crispy spring rolls, and two curry Pad Thais. One with chicken, and one with shrimp. Having eaten at Thai restaurants all over the country, this pad Thai was good, but not great. It tasted like maybe the noodles were done, sauce was added on top, and then the protein. In my favorite places, the flavors are blended more, and the entire dish is stir-fried together. The crispy spring rolls did not have a lot of flavor, and the sauce was just okay. The soups were both delicious. The staff was wonderful, and it's a nice clean, happy place.

I ate here yesterday and was very satisfied. While it was not my first time having food from this place, it was the first time that I sat in and had a full dinner.

Keep in mind that this place does not serve alcohol. Therefore, I got the tea.

The person that I was with suggested that I get the vegetable tom yum, which is a sweet and sour soup consisting of mushrooms, tomatoes, cilantro, baby corn, and I believe pak choy. The vegetables tasted very fresh and broth had a very nice flavor as well. You could definitely taste sour tint to it, which I liked.

The person that I was with also ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer, which are grilled chicken breasts served with peanut butter sauce. These are very good and pretty reasonable prices; 4 for 10.

For an entre, I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai (moderate spice). It had noodles, bean sprouts and chicken. It had great flavor. The portion size was quite large as well.

On a different occasion, one of my friends let me try the gang gai from his carryout. I found that to be even better than the pad thai.

Overall, this place is probably some of the best Thai food around. It's reasonably priced and they give you large portions.

It is excellent if you like Thai food, large menu with great choices, beautiful inside, open ceiling with nice open space, immaculately clean and the staff are all so pleasant and helpful answering questions. Husband and I both ordered one of their noodle dishes and we started with the fried dumplings with side sauce. I had Pad Thai Curry noodles with shrimp and hub had the Vonsen noodles with beef with a side of white rice. Our dinners were as usual, delicious and a generous portion. We had a great dinner and prices are reasonable for the food they serve you. Our waitress was great and took good care of us. Come to Wyandotte and try this place, it’s truly a real gem!!! Great little Thai restaurant! Love the location in downtown Wyandotte, there’s quite a bit of seating to sit and enjoy your meal. The food is fresh and delicious. The spice isn’t quite as hot as Jee’s Top 5 or Bangkok 96, but still a nice spice and the best next to Jee’s. I’ve tried a couple other Thai places in the Southgate area and nothing compares. Only ordered the Thai fried rice with chicken, but such a good value for the amount of food you get! I’d personally prefer a little more green onion but that’s my only note if I had to give one.

We went there for dinner ,shared chicken pad thai,there must of been 4 very tiny ,pieces of chicken,they didn't drain all of the liquid,no lemon only lime ,tiny bit of peanuts,a few bean sprouts,for $15.00 not worth it.Waitress took the order another person drop off the order ,waitress came back when we were done and said no rush heres the bill.

The people here are the sweetest! I’ve gone here many times and they even make my fried rice gluten free! Fantastic place and staff.

Seriously the best Thai food in Southeast Michigan. The Tom Ka was fantastic. Great service. Friendly hosts. Clean. Great food at a fair price. Didn't have to wait long for dinner and it was busy. We will be back.

I normally order for pick up, never eaten in. However, the staff are always very friendly and my order is always correct! Not to mention, the food is amazing and authentic! Best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand!!!

Tried calling several times. Website said they were open. Wanted to place an order for carry out. It kept going to voicemail, and it said the mailbox was full.
Disappointed.
My son wanted Thai food for his birthday. Ended up going to a place in Southgate instead.

This is the BEST Thai food in southeastern Michigan: The Pad Thai curry is phenomenal and I have eaten it every couple days now for the past couple months and I still can’t get enough. I Have eaten Dine in and carry out and the quality is always top notch. The Hot is Spicy and it’s perfect 👍. Can’t wait to order again !

Best Thai food - especially the Tom Yum soup. If sick, 3 Tom Yum soups then better. Portions are large and prices are good. The noodle dishes are comforting. Jasmine tea is spectacular I swear I can taste the antioxidants.

It's really simple but I love their hot and sour. The Bancock fried rice and drunken noodles are really good and all of the food just always tastes so fresh. Quality seems to matter.

Just left there.. cockroaches were crawling on the walls.. When I pointed this out the lady acted like this was a normal thing! When I jumped up thy approached me with the bill.. As I said I don't think I should be paying this. The man waved me on and said just leave!! The manager chased me out to the parking lot!! Was screaming at me to come back and pay the bill!! Which I did!! But still.. It was huge!!! She did say there is a "infestation"!! I'm sorry unacceptable!!

This is probably the best restaurant in the Wyandotte area, and possibly the best in Southern Detroit. There is a enough variety to suit both those trying Thai for the first time and those who eat Thai food all the time. I could not recommend it more!

Very rude customer service on the phone. Doctor's office and tried to order lunch to go. Person on phone was very rude and told us not to order separately that all orders must be taken together. They do not offer payment over the phone and would not accept separate cards for the orders. Placed an order for part of the office and told them we would call back with a second order. When we tried calling back they blocked our number. Apparently they make too much money in their establishment for ours to matter. Our business will be sent to Jee's in the future where we are appreciated for our business

We ordered a range of dishes and even though I am a vegetarian, there were plenty of choices for me to contemplate. 10/10 would visit again for sure, and recommend to my friends and family!

Been going here for over a year. Take out a few times a month and dine in every once in a while. Every time the food is spot on and service is friendly. Overall great place!

Good luck with placing a carry-out. After repeating the order twice on the phone to make sure it was right, went to pick it up when they said it would be ready and they lost the order and never saw it. I asked how long to get it made and to take it was going to be a longer wait then when they said the first time.
Service has been slow b it after this I’ll never be going back.

One of the more consistent Thai restaurants around would be 5 stars however they have been closed many times this past year. They take unscheduled time off and don’t post the closing.(call ahead)
Lately they have been under spiced food still very good decent portions quality ingredients but too afraid to add spices. Still strong option for local Thai.

This places hours are completely unreliable. It's an open when they feel like it place. Jeez thai down the road is always open and doesn't disappoint when this place fails to open.

Chicken Vonsen was delicious. Waiters, as always, on target. In this particular visit I was impressed with the cleanliness and maintenance. In about 10 minutes, they had pulled apart the other half of the restaurant, wiped down walls, tables & chairs; moved them back in place; and replaced carnation centerpiece. All without neglecting any of their guests.

Coastal Thai was very good. I have a grilled chicken salad, Coastal style. Yeah, lame. But the chicken was perfect! The salad was heavy on lettuce but the chicken and Thai hot dressing more that compensated. I'm going back again to have something more authentically Thai.

Where has this place been my whole life!! I was recommended to try the chicken and rice from here, and it tastes so good when compared to my usual Thai food place! The chicken and rice from here is cooked so well it's not dry and it's very flavorful. It does not need anything added to it for flavor because they make it absolutely perfect! This place has become my to go place for comfort food!! Also the price and the amount of food you get leaves you coming back so often because it's such a good price. They really jam-packed the togo containers! I usually get 3 meals out of the 1 meal I bought. The chicken and rice still taste amazing the next day heated up as leftovers! I've only dined in here once, and when I did, it was a very nice experience. The staff is attentive to each guest here and is very friendly. The food comes out fast. I like the cups they put the drinks in they look rad. The decorations here really give the place a nice aesthetic. Very bright and cheery place. I'm so glad I tried them! It's definitely my new favorite place to get food from!! Coastal Thai does not disappoint!

I order the same thing for years with no spice. I can't do spice(medical issues) ordered food with co workers and they added spice to my order. I called and explained and spoke with their manager Susan. She said there is always spice on this dish... really? Never was for the past 13 years. So she offered to replace it at 1/2 off. I can't eat this. You messed it up and you want me to pay for 1/2 of another order? Never again. And Susan was rude. No apology, just excuses.

I really love that place and food too. The soup particularly served on Friday simply awesome. But in lunch time if u go there u have to wait for a while(20 to 30 min) to get your order and in the last for paying the bill as well.Its like a ethnic place .......

Coastal Thai used to be our go to Thai restaurant prior to renovations. The food is still good but the prices have skyrocketed. 36 dollars for two tofu entrees and spring rolls is unacceptable. Jee’s Top Five would be 25 dollars for the same quality and quantity of food. Will not be returning for a while.

My MUST Have's are the Spring Rolls (2 per serving; husband already ate one they are that good right away hot) and Thai Dumplings!!! Here is a photo of the two appetizers. Enjoy. We just love eating here. Had a dish called "Kow Pad" with chicken for our children with no spice... They ate it up!!! Enjoyed every last bite. Great helpings. My husband got the Coastal Chicken with noodles added. He had to do no spice because he couldn't handle the mild flavor. The waitress was happy to have them remade it and it was perfect. I like a little heat. I did the Pad Prik with chicken medium. We definitely couldn't wait any longer. Just absolutely love this place. BEST THAI PLACE DOWNRIVER!!!!!!!!
