This used to be my go-to for Chinese/Japanese many years ago, then they changed owners somewhere around 2020 and I was very disappointed and stopped coming. Recently, I decided to give it another try and I have been very impressed so far. The quality of the food is excellent, although they use containers that separate the rice and seems to be a lesser portion than the norm. The order is always accurate and packed well for take out, prices are reasonable, and they have a very large menu. The dining atmosphere inside is nice, although I haven't seen anyone dining in since I started coming back. Overall, I am happy to have this place back as an option and look fwd to making it my go-to again.

We got delivery from here. Ordered online and got a call back within minutes for confirmation.

Everything was delicious, had great flavors and nothing was too oily.

They have a Jumbo menu to chose from, so there’s something for everyone.

The food was amazing, but the female manager that picks up the phone is incredibly rude. Will continue to order from here, but they need someone more welcoming answering phone calls and someone who doesn’t hang up on a customer when there is a mix up.

My mom said she won’t go back because the prices on the bill were much higher than what was listed in the menu. She felt ripped off.

Note to restaurants: that’s fraud

Excellent food! Was prepared exactly as requested. Was served piping hot and very freshly prepared. Family owned and operated which is something I love. I've driven past this location many times and just decided to stop in for lunch on a quiet Sunday afternoon so I was the only one eating in at the time I stopped in. The interior was very clean and comfortable but the lighting was just a little too dim. Excellent food but the lighting needs to be better. Kind fast service and very polite.

5/14/24 Update: The order described below was disputed with the credit card. A gentleman calling himself the owner of this establishment just showed up at my door step (!!) complaining that I disputed the charge! Please deliver fresh food, and there will be no need for such unprofessional interactions.

Have been getting takeout from this place for years. Food is always fresh, and the owner is super friendly. Great food, reasonable pricing.

Small place where you could dine in with a few booths and tables. I've only gotten take out, so I can't speak for dine in service, but the food is consistently tasting good, portion size is good, and prices are about the same as most places of this type in the area.

The orders have always been correct, with nothing forgotten after ordering from them many times. Orders are usually done within 20 minutes.

Disappointing Experience: Won't Be Returning

I recently visited [Jumbo Asian restaurant] for the first time, initially overlooking some minor issues due to my hunger. However, subsequent visits have only confirmed my worst fears – the quality of their chicken dishes is appalling.

On my first visit, my hunger may have masked the subpar taste, but subsequent experiences have left me thoroughly disappointed. The chicken dishes consistently taste off, with an unpleasant raw smell.

It's unfortunate that what seemed like a promising dining option turned out to be a letdown. Given the decline in quality, I have decided not to return. My advice to others would be to proceed with caution, especially if chicken dishes are on your order list

We order from jumbo regularly. Really like the Thai rice and udon soups. My son always gets the avocado roll and shrimp lo mein which he takes to school for lunch.

Jumbo is our restaurant for Asian food. Dishes are always well prepared and service is prompt. Sushi is fresh and the spider rolls are great. Having a choice of cuisines is nice.

Food used to be good, found a piece of a lobster shell in my chicken dish and the waitress just said oooh okay no problem.

Edited- crab shell, lobster claw, same thing. At the end of the day you guys cross contaminated my food and said maybe it fell in while the chef was cleaning them which makes no sense. Also your menu clearly states that there are multiple usage of lobster. Example seafood soup with lobster and lobster tempura roll

When I can’t be bothered with cooking and I’m looking for something for a light dinner, I always go here for some takeout sushi. I recommend the Maki Combo, which is 3 of their “regular” rolls for around 15 bucks. They also make a great Spider Roll. The food is consistently good, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!

I love Jumbo Asian Restaurant. The food is delicious and their service is very fast. The staff is friendly and they are conviniently located on Rt 59. Love their sushi rolls and chef signature dishes !

The food is always excellent and the variety gives you alot to choose from.

Poor customer service. Prices always change! Prices wrong on all menus say they getting new menus but menus are new and they also charge 3% more for card purchase.

I have been ordering from Jumbo for years and I am never disappointed. The customer service is excellent and the food always delicious. This is one of my favorite takeout places in Rockland, I highly recommendi!

I had an Egg fu Yung dish for an eat-in lunch. It was delicious. Especially the brown sauce. I ordered the same dish, and I noticed immediately the sauce was completely different. Same with scallion pancakes. What's the deal with that? Food very good, but Michelle is a little cranky and cheap with noodles...lol

The food is absolutely delicious. I eat Asian food almost everyday. I live over 15 minutes away and now drive here for the food. Best wonton soup I’ve had in a while. Homemade wontons. Not salty broth. Peking duck is amazing, sushi is fresh. Workers are amazingly efficient and helpful and sweet. Huge take out operation too! Will be back again and again.

Sweet and sour chicken not too tasty

So I used to go to this restaurant often and it has been sold a few times; on 7/6/2023 I decided to pop in for a light dinner. THE ATTITUDE of the female manager/waitress was HORRIBLE. She made me feel unwelcomed, like I was bothering her. Very dreary atmosphere and poor customer service. A true shame.

Jumbo Asian gets A-plus in everything! I’ve enjoyed their delivery service many times. The food arrives on time and steaming hot with a delicious aroma. This is the Best Asian food anywhere around here, every time!

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GET FOOD HERE!! They will steal your money! Ordered delivery and said I was gonna tip the driver cash. Driver supposedly told the cashier that I didn’t tip and proceeded to take an additional tip off my card without authorization!! I went in and I even made them show me the receipt for proof! They admitted to it! Don’t get food here! Also their food is bland !

The food was not fresh, I ordered 3 sushi rolls- the avocado was brown and all the rolls didn't have any good flavor. The lunch specials I ordered was not tasty at all. The Boba had too much powder in it and it was gritty and yucky. Not a good experience and I will probably not order from here again. $70 wasted- never again!

Took my mom here last night. I must say the food was outstanding! Even reheating the leftovers the following day the rice remained fluffy and delicious. This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. Very satisfied

Nice quiet dinner with wifey. No one else in restaurant was a little weird. Food was good but we both commented on how service was good but kind of stale. We all need to get back to living with each other again and connecting, even if we still have to wear masks for awhile longer.

Delivery man came and didn’t knock on my door. Left the food outside. Outside my door I had 2 Easter baskets that I was just about to bring to the post office to ship to my niece and nephew. When I went to leave, I found my food outside the door and one of the baskets was missing. I had literally just put it outside my door and it’s gone. I truly hope that the delivery man is giving it to someone in need and is not just a completely awful person

Jumbo used to be amazing under the previous management. I went there in early February 2022 and both the food & service sucked. I hate to say this because I really want local businesses to do well, but I have to be honest. The soup, sushi rolls, and entree were all flavorless, lacking in quality, and not good. I would rather spend money somewhere else. I will not be going back anymore or recommending this place. This is the third time I’ve been disappointed with them. I’m done.

Staff do not take orders properly
Disappointed more than once when ordering over the phone. Maybe online is better??? Tonight I convinced my husband to give them another chance as the food is usually good. How do you mix up chicken and shrimp as a main dish. Won't be ordering from them again. Called them after the delivery and they said we ordered Chicken which wasn't true...Didn't charge us for shrimp but feel we can't get what we want from them so need to find a new restaurant .

Incredible food, fantastic service!! I just moved to the area and my sister recommended this restaurant. I can’t get enough! I highly recommend!

Ate here one night about an hour or so before closing, and I guess they were rushing to get out because they gave my mother raw “chicken on the stick”. Bright pink, raw chicken. She told me it felt a bit mushy and I put my phones flashlight on it and sure enough, it was raw. She went home and threw up that night and was violently ill the next day. Avoid this place at all costs. They don’t care about your safety. Seriously. Not worth it.

They got my order wrong so I called to ask for a replacement. The woman said “sushi busy tonight. Call and order if you really want it” and hung up. Other food wasn’t great either.

We ordered on Friday night for delivery. Was estimated to be 6:20-6:30 PM - We called at 6:40 just to check on the status, they said 10 more minutes. At 7:05 I called again, and they said it will be there soon... Finally at 7:15 we got our food, and it was lukewarm at best. This was the second time recently we have had these issues.

The worst place they took my money when I got my food delivered then try to tell me I never paid. I showed them that they took money off my card and they try to call cops. They begg you to leave tips and take your card info and use it. Just went through this with them smh

The food is excellent and the new owners Leo and Michelle are very friendly. Leo pays very close attention when taking orders and answered all of my questions and concerns about my order being Gluten-free. The delivery drivers are also very friendly and polite. This is definitely the best pan-Asian restaurant in the area. The menu has a very wide selection of dishes from Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes & appetizers & sushi. I love this restaurant.
