They need to change the way the package spring rolls. I called the Resturant and she said it’s nothing they can do about sauce being all over 6 rolls I purchased. I have been coming here for years and never had this happen. I will not be coming back here for spring rolls. Smart food service prepare area know not to put a plastic container inside foil with hot food because it will melt and open and SPILL!

I moved away from the area but I will drive an hour out of my way to get takeout noodles from cafe Thai! Generous portions and good spice levels. I can’t recommend them enough.

This place had great food and the service was amazing....The Chicken Satay was a lot larger than i am used to at most Thai restaurants, The Tom Yum soup was good but only had one piece of shrimp in it. The Pad thai was on point

I really liked Thai Cafe up until yesterday. I always order the same shrimp fried rice for my children, they love it. Yesterday we got all the way home, ready to eat. My six year old daughter took a bite and immediately ran to get water. “Mom, it’s so spicy! My mouth is burning!” were her words. My initial thought was she was exaggerating, we’ve never had an issue. I tasted it myself and couldn’t believe it. It was very spicy. I tasted my order and it was fine (my kids don’t like what I order but both were ordered mild, the way we always order)

I called the restaurant to let them know there was a mix up and that the food was inedible for my kids and myself. The owner proceeded to let me know that (and I quote) “ you should know better than to order Thai food for your kids because sometimes it’s spicy” she then let me know that the spice levels are inconsistent because some of her cooks have “a heavy hand”.

I asked what was the solution and She told me all she could do was offer me 15% off my next order.
That didn’t seem sufficient so I asked her could I get my money back, I lived 30 minutes away, had just got off of work and didn’t want to make the drive back that evening. I was told No Refunds, and if I couldn’t come back today I would forfeit my meal”.

I responded Fine, remake it please… I’m on my way.
Upon arrival I was not greeted nor offered an apology or anything. She took the bag, inspected the food and went to the back.

Long story short, I was given my same food back. They did not remake my meal though they did reheat it. They took our eaten off food and reheated in the back then returned it to me in a new bag. I will never patronize this establishment again. They don’t value their customers, they don’t keep their word, and they made things unnecessarily difficult for a mom just trying to feed her children.

Needless to say, my daughter couldn’t eat the food and money was wasted. Very disappointing.

First of all, the service is great. Come after rush hour and you will be served quickly and the food comes out fast as well. The food is on point. I always order chicken with my noodles and the serving is more than enough. If you order your food spicy, it will be accurately spicy. The prices are very reasonable and I will come back again.

Some of the best Thai food around. Price is in line with another favorite on Telegraph. If they say 15 min, it likely will be 10.

Ordered for a group. Everyone loved it and others that didn't order with the group, tasted it and called in to go orders of their own. Will be back again and again. Careful with the heat.

Went here for lunch today, got the pad Thai, and told the lady I wanted it spicy. She looked at me and honestly tried talking me out of it, but my stubborn self wouldn't listen.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Cafe Thai I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years, but after my most recent visit, I will never be returning.

I ordered my usual entree to go on the evening of February 15th. Upon arriving home, I discovered that my entree was missing the broccoli and the extra shrimp that I had paid for. Understandably frustrated, I called the restaurant, but to my dismay, they had already closed for the night.

The following morning, on February 16th at 10 am, I attempted to reach out to the restaurant to address the issue, only to find that they were not open at that time. When I finally managed to speak with the manager, I was met with extreme rudeness and unprofessionalism. The manager insisted that I bring the incomplete entree back to the restaurant in order to receive any form of compensation for their mistake.

To make matters worse, the manager made racially insensitive remarks during our conversation, which left me feeling deeply disrespected and appalled.

I am utterly shocked by the lack of customer service and professionalism displayed by the manager, and I strongly advise against dining at [Restaurant Name]. It is clear that this establishment does not value its loyal patrons, and the behavior of the manager was completely unacceptable.

Food was delicious got it delivered. Only thing I didn't like was I paid extra for shrimp and only got like 5 pieces not even. But was delicious!

In my truly honest opinion I think this place is just alright. Nothing is special about it. The service is great and the place was clean and smelled great. I ordered pad thai with mild spice and extra bean sprouts & chicken. First off, out of my whole entree, there was only 5 peices of chicken. I truly love pad thai and i know good pad thai, but they were very stingy with the chicken and bean sprouts even though I paid for extra. A great place I recommend is Bangkok Express Cafe in Southfield Rd. So if you want to get your money’s worth, don’t go here but instead try the place i recommended. If you’re kind enough, let me know what you think.

I ordered on Door dash. The food was Soo good especially the Tom Yum soup! I have a cold and the soup definitely helped me feel better.

I went and got a order I was giving old food I took the food bank less than five minutes. The two young ladies were rude and instead of her refunding me my money back, she kept telling me that the food wasn’t oh I have eaten here before never had this problem until today. I asked to speak to a manager. The woman told me that the manager won’t be in till next week. The worst service I’ve ever had, and to have to keep food that I had to toss away because it was not fresh.

I ordered the Drunken Noodles with Chicken and the dish was actually sober (dry). The chicken is dark meat. May not have been bad with extra sauce and shrimp instead. Overall I wasn’t impressed. I’ll continue to go to Ferndale.

Place a order around 9.15pm pick up order 9.40pm when i got there they gave my order to the wrong person so they remade in about 5 minutes. Get home my food was burnt call them the next day they told me they couldn't do anything about it then hung up on me when I ask to speak to the manger

I haven't been able to get back to this fine restaurant in many years since I moved north. It was and still is one of my favorite places. Hope it reopens soon.

I’ve been ordering from this place for at least 10 years and it never disappoints. About a month ago I had the basil fried rice and it was as delicious as ever! Can’t wait to get back when I’m in the area again.

I ordered 2 dinners with no spice, which totaled approximately $30, however, I received 2 very spicy dinners that could not be consumed (of course, I did not taste it until I returned home). I attempted to call back, no answer, even though I called during business hours. I also tried to return to the restaurant, they were “closed until further notice”. In our current economy, it is incredibly frustrating to waste money on food that you cannot consume and not even be able to have your issue addressed. I will not be returning to this establishment.

So sweet that my mouth tasted like sugar for hours. And Panang Curry was very salty. Not sure if their chef changed but I will definitely not eat here next time

buyer beware - ordered on line for lunch pick up. website didn't indicate they were closed. When we went to pick it up no one was there. The charge went through on my card, even when they knew they were not open. Should have posted something on their website.

Great lunch place

My family and I would get Cafe Thai all the time and it would be great however, it seems the quality of the food and service has changed in the last few months. Food has almost no sauce, noodles are different. Sadly, we won’t be eating here again. The last two time, we’ve thrown the meals away and wasted money. Super disappointed in whatever changes occurred.

Poor customer service. They left out part of my order Friday night. I called and went there Saturday and they were closed on a normal business day.

Tonight I called, 7:15 pm and the person answering the phone refused to make me whole. She repeatedly stated that I should have called this morning she has no proof of my purchase. It's sauce but it totally changes the meal for me. I asked about customer satisfaction and losing a customer over a $2-3 item. Never will I ever go back. It's all about principal. There's other Thai restaurants in the area with better service.

The woman who takes the orders will tell you that they’re sold out of something just because they don’t want to sell it to you. I’ve been ordering from this place for years and I now see that they’ve been treating me bad because of who I am (color of my skin). I placed an order for pick up today and asked if the spring rolls were available, the woman told me that they were sold out and asked if I wanted something else. I had a gut feeling she wasn’t telling the truth so I had my friend call and place and order for spring rolls and surprisingly they had just enough for him. They will lie about having items if they don’t like you. All I’ve been was a loyal customer but not anymore. This company needs to get their emotions out of the business! Whatever the issue may be it shouldn’t be taken out on the customer. I never gave anyone a reason to feel the way the feel. This is truly wrong.

Horrible service. Ordered the basil fried rice with BROWN rice and the lady on the phone said it would be $2 extra which was fine but apparently they wrote down the order with white rice. When I arrived to pick up my order I asked to confirm because the price was off and they said it was made with white rice and they are unable to remake it….after they already charged me. They said there was “nothing they could do about it bc it was already made” - well that’s not my fault. They were very rude. I asked for a refund and left. I’ve been a long time customer of this place but unfortunately, I will not be back.

It's been a while since I've been there, for reasons I won't mention. But, glad I gave them another chance because the food was really good. I was greeted kindly with a smile and great service upon picking up my order. Pad see-ew and curry pineapple fried rice both with chicken and medium heat were really tasty! I won't hesitate to order from there again if I'm in the neighborhood.

Hands down. This is the best thai restaurant around. The food is very tasty. Very fresh! I ordered the cashew with shrimp and chicken. The only comment is that I wish I had more cashews in the dish. The spring roll tasted like a donut. And it wasn't like your average tiny little roll at other thai restaurants. They offer some traditional and then some not so average. This is my second visit in 2 years and it seems it only gets better. I can see myself eating here multiple times a week.
And the prices are more than reasonable. I must add it's really nice to get rice that is not sticky. Bon appetite

Great food, I always get the FR2 mild plus with at least 3 spring rolls 😆 and the Siam crispy rolls. I’ve been coming to this place since 2013. Still amazing, covid didn’t stop anything!

Was excited to try based on good reviews, but after one bite I regretted it. Got fried rice (FR2) with chicken (medium) and it was totally inedible. Tasted soggy and bland, like it sat in a hot car for 3 hours. Maybe 1 piece of broccoli and no pea pods. The A4 crunchy rolls were just as bad. No crunch, just a soggy, bland tasteless mess. Disappointing.

The food tasted fine. I ordered online and asked for tofu. When I arrived, my food was not ready because they were out of tofu. They said they tried to call me, but I didnt receive a call. I asked for shrimp instead, but they still upcharge me 2 dollars despite being out of the ingredient I originally ordered.
