Come experience the taste of Thailand right here in Pontiac, MI. From traditional favorites to unique specialties, our menu boasts a delightful array of authentic Thai dishes crafted with care and precision.
Very nice clean restaurant. The food was very delicious. It had a good flavor. The portions were just the right size. I can confidently recommend this location if you’re anywhere within a 20 minute radius. The food came out quick from when we ordered. They will include the tip if you have 5 or more persons. Price was decent for the amount and the flavors, I would have preferred just a tad bit larger portions. The service was attentive and helpful. We had Pad Thai, Pad see-ew, yellow curry and panang curry and I’d recommend all of these dishes.
I came here for the first time today with some family, and it was incredible! The service was amazing, probably some of the best I’ve ever seen! I have a dietary allergy and they dealt with it amazingly.
Possibly the best mango sticky rice I’ve ever
P.S. the paper on the bottom of the mango sticky rice is NOT seaweed, I would not recommend taking a bite into it.
Hands down the best Thai I’ve ever had. The food is always fresh and super tasty! You can’t go wrong with any meal you choose! My favorite is Baby Corn Pea pod and Pineapple Curry both with chicken.
The service is great!
The most delicious Thai food around. I have eaten here 20+ times when I travel to Auburn hills for work. The food is always so fresh and flavorful!. The portions are very generous and they keep this tiny strip mall location very, very clean. The staff is incredibly helpful. In October I left my wallet on the table but didn't realize it. Several days later I was retracing my steps and stopped by on the of chance I had left it there. Of course I did and they had held into it for me without a single item missing. Integrity plus delicious food earns my business every time! Thank you this Lemongrass!!
We’ve had both delivery and sit down experiences at Lemongrass and both times the food was so delicious! We live 45 min from the restaurant and the food still arrived hot. The red curry, pad thai, mango salad and shrimp sticks were the best we’ve had anywhere. We only wish the restaurant was larger and served larger parties. They do a large carryout business.
One of the best and most delicious thai places I’ve tried in MI. Had to give it up for their lunch specials bc 1) affordable and reasonable pricing 2) no complains about the flavours. The medium spice level was pretty strong so if you can tolerate that, go for it! I would love to come back here again 10/10 recommend for sure

The service is great!
Best Thai place I’ve found in Southeastern Michigan!
We had a large group and they were so accommodating and kind. The food was fabulous!
Excellent food, fast service, very clean, huge portions.
Amazing food, amazing Atmosphere, quick pick up for food, friendly staff
Delicious 😋
Delicious and flavorful food with a right portion; nice and clean environment. Very good service.
Lunch time on workdays is extremely busy.
Always great food and the service is always really fast
The food is very good and that’s the 2 star for but the service is very slow and we had to wait 25 mins just for dine in and 30 mins wait to get a fried rice. We ended up getting it a Togo because we had meeting to attend. Most of the people coming here are working 8 to 5 and have 1 hour of lunch time and meetings to attend. To add on, restaurant is very small with limited table so the wait is usually long. Plan a 2 hour lunch period in case you want to Dine in at this place.
This is ridiculous
Called the restaurant to order to go and they said wait is 2 hrs? For a take out? Like seriously? Definitely do not recommend!!
Despite the staff being rude the service sucks to suck
Great Thai!

Lemon Grass is a stand out spot.
We have been ordering from here for a little over 3 years. We get the same thing every time, and the consistency order to order is excellent.
Portions are awesome.
Flavors are awesome.
The crab rangoon are a stand out. They’re rolled sticks, and I don’t think they use traditional wonton wrappers. Almost like phyllo dough. 10/10.
Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle are both excellent as well. We love Lemon Grass and are very grateful they’re around.
Used to be good. Last two times we ordered food was incorrect. Fried rice used to be robust and now has barely anything in it.
This place has gone downhill!

Always love it here. Nice ambiance. Great food.
Food is great, staff is rude never listens to the order.
When called and asked can we eat in the restaurant they say NO come in sit and order waste your time is what they say!!!
Very very rude.....
I would rate 0 but there is no option though
Favorite Thai place in area and their chilli oil is lub.
Couple favorite items basil fried rice, crab Rangoon
My favorite Thai restaurant in Michigan! The yellow curry is especially delicious.
Food was great and service was fast and attentive. Hands down best drunken noodle I've ever had.
This is the only Thai place I’ve ever been to that was not disappointing. Everything was delicious, and they had mango sticky rice.
Fantastic Pad see ew and the Thai tea was delicious.
Really great staff
Definitely a fan favorite at our office.
Highly recommend:
Curry Puff Mix Veggie. This dish comes with 4 pastry puffs filled with potato, vegetables and lovely seasoning.
Chicken Satay. Chicken spears.
Crab Ragoon. I've actually never had crab ragoon wrapped like a spring roll before. It's definitely a cool twist on a beloved staple!
Gyoza. Fried dumpling. They are delightful!
Me and my coworkers love Lemon Grass Thai! Best in the area hands down
I would not recommend eating here if you are a gluten free diner. The only dish they could recommend was the pad Thai. It was good but I am usually able to order most curry based scales at Thai resteraunts and they told me they were not gluten free.
3 or 4 of us from work go every few weeks for lunch. The staff is friendly every time. The portion size of the meals are good size for the $. It's not that bad for lunch 11-14$ or so.
One of the best Padthai and spring roll. Friendly staffs!
I love this place, very simple restaurant but the food is amazing and prices are great. I visit every time I’m in the area.
Love their food.
I expected vegetables in my dish but instead got scraps, yellow broccoli. Broccoli should be green not yellow. Makes me think what other corners they are cutting. So disappointed!
So happy I tried this place again. Everything I’ve had is fantastic so far. Spice level is a little higher than I’m used to.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. I ordered the RN5 Pad See Ew online with chicken as the protein, and I was shocked to find only 4 tiny, very thin pieces of chicken. The noodles were a mess—broken into pieces, sticky, and stuck together in a mushy clump, like they just scraped the bottom of the pot for my order.
I requested it to be mild, but there were no spices at all.
Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I will not be coming back. I do not recommend this place at all.
Best chicken pad Thai I’ve had in a long time!! Definitely recommend trying this place. Will be back for sure 😊
Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in the area
Called in order. Was all ready for pick up. Pleasant service. Decent taste. Would go back!
Ordered through doordash - Food seemed OK but what thai place doesnt give rice for a main dish or curry? Ordered $80 for two entrees and spring rolls and zero rice. So its soup? What is this place???? Im pissed.
Very rude. Receptionist hung up on me after saying “it’s not free to have a to go order”. The menu mentioned an up charge scheduling outside of lunch hours and I was simply asking what that meant. But instead I was hung up on…HORRIBLE customer service
Great food! Amazing price!
家门口的泰餐美味
We really enjoyed our visit! The staff was upbeat and fun. The food was stellar! We started with chicken sate and cucumber salad, so fresh and delicious. Then we shared a savory plate of pad thai. We wrapped up our meal with mango sticky rice which I will go back for.
Lady how is severing needs to get training on how to greet customers and see who is first in the line , this is the second time with her
The staff needs to focus on on customer service as it’s bad. Food is good but quantity seems less compared to previously visited.
Restaurant is not spacious at all
Very good food, some of the best thai food i’ve ever had
My favorite!!!!!!
Great little Thai place walking distance from the hotel.
Small store but the Thai food is the best in the area for a good price. Orders are ready fast and hot.
Ordered online to pick up on my lunch during work for myself and a coworker. After I returned to my job, I realized that they had mixed up the items in my order and they were made incorrectly. I called and stated that my food was wrong and asked for a credit for a future visit because I am unable to return to the restaurant during my break and get both meals replaced. I was only offered 10% off a future visit when both meals were made incorrectly. I will not be ordering again because of this service.

Excellent pad seew. They were so busy but still got my walk up order ready in 10 minutes.
Never had a bad meal. Favorite lunch place for 6 years.
Been going here for nearly a decade and always have consistently good food. Pad Thai (with peanut sauce!!!) is a must and their pineapple fried rice are both extremely delicious.
best thai in the country, flavors are delicious 🙌
babycorn peapod is the best brown sauce I’ve ever had and your white rice is also the best I’ve ever had. i don’t know what you do to your white rice
you guys are untouchable thank you
The best Thai food hands down. I’ve tried many Thai places and nothing can even come close. Lemongrass is the only place I will go. The portions are large and the food is always fresh! Even if you eat it for leftovers it tastes just as good. Anyone giving bad reviews is just one of them “you will never please them” type of people. Never once have I had a bad experience here and the food is always amazing!!!!
Cozy little eatery. Great food, reasonable prices, prompt polite service. This would be a great lunch spot if I lived in the area.
Their hot and sour soup is on the sweeter side, but I'd still rank it in the top 2 or 3 of hot and sour soups that I've tasted in my travels.
There was a good range of spice levels: The hot is hot, and the mild is mild if you don't want or your body can't take the heat.
I would happily eat here all the time.
I had the red curry and I ordered it hot, it was very spicy but not overwhelming so perfect for me.
Depending on your tastes, they will dial the heat level up or down for you. Give this place a try!
Eat here. The Thai ladies who run Lemon Grass are very friendly and efficient. I got my Pad Thai with cashews in about 5 minutes, and it was delicious. I ordered Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. It was the best Mango Sticky Rice I ever ate. And the total check was very reasonable.
Carry-Out Green Curry was flavorful, cooked nicely and came out warm. Thai Iced Tea flavor is amazing too. Staff is really friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Definitely recommend for those in the Pontiac/Birmingham area for Thai food.
The best in Michigan
Went after 3 years! Same sense of taste!
Visited during lunch hours, it’s a quite busy restaurant with limited seating but the staff were quick enough to put you soon on the table and serve you the food.
You’ll get a complementary soup for each dish, pineapple fried rice and basil fried rice.
Went with a few coworkers for lunch. They start you off with a cup of soup which was great. The main course was great, eggplant was perfectly cooked and sauce was filled with flavor. We all got the thai ice tea, with or without boba, it came in a nice to go cup. Staff were very nice a checked on us regularly. Great experience, would recommend highly to anyone in the area.

Very nice people and atmosphere, will be seeing my face more often!
I ordered here couple of times. I liked their chicken Pad Thai. Don’t get the hot, medium is more than enough, unless you want to burn your mouth. The chicken tastes good and well cooked. The peanut sauce is excellent. They provide a lime wedge on the side to squeeze on top of your plate before serving, which gives it a very nice kick. Overall I would give their Pad Thai a 9.5/10. Crab Rangoon’s are also nice appetizers. Filled with cream cheese in a crispy dough, however it will go bad quickly. Have to be eaten fresh. Otherwise it will lose its good texture.
Good taste. Exorbitant service charges. Usually charged for 5 adults and up. They also counted our babies who were 2 years or under in order to get the service charges.
Pad Thai is simply great!! I'm never disappointed with the taste.
Tasty Thai food, and soups.must visit.
I don't know how this restaurant has such a good mark in here. We came in there only to be greeted by rude waitress, food was tasting very bad, the chicken wasn't fresh, was having the aftertaste of the second or third day, soup was tasting very bad too, the only taste it had was spice and old chicken. I feel deceived cause we came seeing very good reviews and craving Thai food, but this restaurant was below average.
Me and my friends Dine in and take out very often last couple of months. Their food and service are best in town when compared to other thai restaurants.
Highlight of the menu Fried rice and green curry.
I was staying at a hotel nearby and when searching for somewhere to eat dinner, this was the first place to pop up- just a short walk away. The reviews were all positive but I was still pleasantly surprised with how delicious the curry really was!
To start, my coworker and I both decided to share the puff pastries (basically like a smaller samosa?) that was served with sweet chili sauce, and they were pretty tasty. Thereafter, he got the red curry and I got the massaman curry with tofu. Honestly, I was incredibly happy with my dish. I went for Hot on the spice level, and it was the PERFECT amount of spice. My coworker got medium and he was slightly suffering, so I suppose be careful if you’re sensitive. 😂
If I was local, I’d definitely revisit to try the rest of the menu but nonetheless, I strongly recommend if you’re in the mood for a curry!
Always good
Got carry out and at home noticed that they totally screwed up the order and gave us a different dish. Very disappointed! Lesson learned from now on, always check the box of the dish ordered prior leaving the restaurant. Not the first time it happened. You can not trust these places that they took the right order.
Started working in the area and really been wanting some curry. Figured I would try this place out because of the good reviews. I was very happy with the food I received. The dish was wonderful and the medium amount of spice had great taste and was not overly spicy, just the right amount for lunch time. Will absolutely be back here and letting people at work know about it if they don't already!
edit - People at work already knew about the place lol, went back and had the Pad Thai and it was amazing!
Best Thai food iv had in a long time! Will definitely go back!
We arrive at 8:15pm and they close at 9pm.
We were told we can only order carry out because they will close soon and are shutting down the kitchen. Huh? 🤔
A great establishment. My company gets Thai to-go often and they are so quick with preparing the orders and always get them right, no matter how large our carry out order is. Their Pad Thai, Thai fried rice are my favorites around here. Highly recommend.
Not my usual Thai restaurant But I was in the neighborhood and remembered this place used to have really good food. The food was Mediocre at best and kind of dingy inside. Not really a place I would sit and dine in. What a shame !! Used to be 1 of the best Thai restaurants in Oakland county
The best Thai food we’ve had!! And we eat a lot of Thai food. They are so friendly and nice here and always get our order correct. Food is delicious, fast, and reheats well since they give such big portions. This has been our go to place for over 10 years and unfortunately moved further away so can’t have it as often. But will be coming here when we can!!
Also brought a bunch of kids here to eat and they were so friendly and accommodating. And when we needed a bunch of napkins to clean up messes they were so nice about it.
I just love this little hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant. The pad woon sen is honestly one of the best I've ever had. Awesome spring rolls as well.
Good food reasonable portions for price
Mostly get take out but occasionally dine in, service is really fast. The food is really good and the staff is great!
Awesome food, best taste in the Troy area. Good service. Seating area a little cramped. Best tasting food though. Please keep up the good work.
Great little restaurant! I’m here for work and they were near my hotel so I thought I’d give it a try. I got take out which I ordered in the restaurant. Great staff who were super friendly and patient while I tried to figure out what I wanted. I got the peanut curry with chicken and cabbage. Delicious!! Can’t stress enough about how kind everyone was at this restaurant. I will definitely be coming back
I got peanut curry and Thai tea
Cost about 18
Take out
Highly recommend
Excellent Thai Food!! Will be back forsure!!
Best pad Thai I have found in the area and the spring rolls are excellent. The food often comes out much quicker then you think it would.
Best Thai food in town
I've been here a handful of times, and the last two times I've had the same waiter ( a guy), and both times I've paid cash, which the restaurant gives a % off for cash orders - both times my change was exactly $1 short and both times the waiter made it a point to not give me an updated receipt. The first time it happened I had assumed it was an error. Then it happened again tonight. For that reason, I won't be back. Huge bummer because the food is good.
Amazing food, great service, and wonderful vibes
Awesome food and very authentic!
제가 15년전 근처에 거주할 때 가장 좋아하던 레스토랑 입니다. 오랜만에 방문했는데 맛은 여전히 훌륭했습니다. 팟타이와 산라탕(Hot n Sour soup)을 추천합니다.
My new favorite Thai place (after Thai Delight which is a bit too far for me to drive)! Had a Delicious chicken pad Thai and wonderful pork red curry. Curry stood out, was not watered down as you find sometimes. Excited to explore the menu. Interior seemed nice, can't comment on service, I did takeout.
Great curry!
They have really good food and are very busy. Place is small. The people that work there really take good care of you.
Best restaurant ever ❤️
Everything is good
Excellent food and a friendly staff!!!
The yummiest vegetarian curry we’ve had in a long time. Especially recommend their green curry and the Tom yum soup!
The basil fried rice and drunken noodles were very bland though.
Ambience and service were good but it felt like more of a carry out place.
Hot and sour soup is the best I've ever had!
Had a good time. I really enjoyed the food
.
Very tasty. Great Fried Tofu appetizer. Food is delicious. Almost any entree can be made vegetarian or vegan.
Best curry dishes around
Hole in the wall neighborhood Thai is a gem. The cuisine is authentic and offer a greater variety of curries than almost all other Thai places. (Just be careful about the spice level when asked — I think of myself as being able to handle spicy foods and “medium” here basically hit the upper level of my tolerance.) The signature Pas Thai was the best I’ve had in the area. The chicken satay appetizer was also very good, juicy and spiced just right. Service was friendly. There is even a small discount off the final bill if paying cash. Will definitely be coming back,
As a frequent flyer to Thai restaurants I feel like most that I go to are by & large pretty similar. THIS place blew me away!
I think they dialed the heat down on me when I asked for “thai hot”, but despite that - this was STILL the BEST green curry I’ve had anywhere. BY FAR!
Going back tomorrow.
Time to get to go order is ALWAYS inaccurate. Order lunch and it said 35 minutes I got there 50 minutes after the order was placed because they are always backed up and the order still was not ready. Be ware you will waste a portion of your lunch time waiting even when you try to plan around the poor time frames they give.
This is hands down the best Thai place in Metro Detroit!
A few years ago we spent 3 weeks in Thailand, and since then we are always on the hunt for a great, flavorful, and authentic Thai spot. Lemongrass checks all the boxes. We drive 25 mins each way just to get takeout - it’s that good!
My favorite dishes to order are the curries and fried rice dishes. The Panang and Massaman curry have a rich flavor profile with a lot of depth to it. You can taste the flavors! The fried rice is full of fresh vegetables and flavor.
This is the closest I’ve found to Thailand here in the states. If you love flavorful curries, definitely make the trip!
Always a go to for family meals, great options, friendly staff, and the food is always on point and true to style. Spice it up if you like too, it takes it up a notch ;)
Amazing food! The pad Thai was great, just watch how spicy you order it as they use authentic levels of spice.
So good. The Curries are fantastic.
We ate today at the restaurant, they have a waiter called Josh , he was very rude and impolite. His attitude was too bad . He refused to sit us together and although we were 4 and he charged us 10$extra for service charge . Overall experience was very bad from him
Portion is small, but the food is good!
love this place, food and service is always excellent. Food is how it's supposed to be, fresh hot delicious
Very good food. I enjoyed the Pad See Ew with mild spice & added carrots & onions.
The chicken satay was very tough. Pad Thai was good. Pretty small restaurant in strip mall it was the closest thing for me to eat. The waitress was amazing
Went out for a simple meal. Waitress couldn't figure out our basic order, never checked on us, had to wait for boxes. Originally gave me the wrong meal. After we paid the bus boy came out to the parking lot to accost myself 8.5 months pregnant and my husband for not tipping on horrible service. His excuse was they are understaffed. I was a waitress for over 10 years good service=good tip. Hence being in the "service industry" Simple as that. I have had better service at a buffet. Sad because it used to be a nice place to eat out.
Sets the local standard for pad Thai, is always friendly and fair quick.
Never had a bad meal here
