Basic Thai eatery offering a variety of traditional noodle, rice & curry dishes in a simple setting.
My boyfriend loves Thai food and usually orders from his favorite spot in Orlando, but while he was visiting Michigan, he decided to give this place a try. He ordered the Chicken Pad Thai at a hot spice level. At first glance, the presentation wasn’t the most appealing, but the flavors made up for it.
He enjoyed the garnished nuts and green onions on top, though I found it a bit overwhelming for my taste. I think the green onions would have been a better touch if they were diced finely rather than chopped into larger pieces.
That aside, the dish was well-executed—the chicken was tender, the noodles had a nice texture, and the flavor and spice levels were balanced and pleasant. Overall, it was a solid choice, especially for trying something new on vacation.
Very good food. Great service. Pretty good quantity soups and very reasonable priced.
Even when we ordered extra rice the server mentioned it would cost 3 more. Great attitude and clarity.
This is a busy resto, people also nice and kind. It will be better not dine in and take out. The kitchen is one wall attach to eating tables , The cooker fights very hard with pots and shevals making loude endless sound , that drove all customers to the other sides. Maybe some customer will still enjoy the atmosphere.
Ordered noodle , thick and rich hot flavor. also xiaolong bao , hand made, taste is good as Shanghai China.
I went here today and my expectations were exceeded! The customer service was on point and the prices were very affordable. For food I got the Tom kha soup which was absolutely amazing, the soup dumplings which were my main focus and were delicious, and the Chong Quing spicy noodles. Now I did not expect the noodles to be as spicy as they were but they were still delicious! My cousin got the crispy roll which she says was good, the seasame noodles- also good, and the Thai fresh beef pho which she says the broth could be a little stronger. Overall I would definitely go back to try something new!
Genuinely the bestttt pad Thai. The flavor is never not on point!!!! Miles above other more popular places in the metro Detroit area. Every time I get pad Thai elsewhere I’m so disappointed because nothing will ever beat Thai Fresh 😍 such reasonable prices too for their delicious food. My best friend also LOVES the gang ped with pineapple.
Thai restaurant but you can enjoy Shanghai street food as well.
Drunken noodle is the best ever menu for me here. Taste really good and good combination with Tom Yum Soup :)
-2022.03.11 update
Due to pandemic, the toato beef noodle does not come with regular noodle and so please ask if the noodle supply is back or not.
Thai basil fried rice I just given with capsicum and onion NO broccoli added No carrot, no other veggies we generally get in veg basil
Fried rice so not that great
Love the way this restaurant makes their Pad Thai. The Tom Yum soup is outstanding as well. This is the only Thai restaurant my family and I will order from.
Did carry out, and I think I have found my new favorite Thai restaurant. Excellent food 😋
The food was actually very good but the portion size was small for the cost of it. Seems to be a common theme these days but would eat there again and maybe dine in person instead of take out.

A good Thai restaurant with no real shortfalls and excellent gluten-free options. A bit small, and the food could be hotter, but those complaints are so minor that they're a bit silly in the face of an excellent experience!
Best Thai Food around! Tom Yum soup is amazing!
Food was amazing. We did a takeout and ordered Sweet and spicy chicken, rolls and fried rice. We loved it!
Food was fresh, it just wasn't very good. Quick and easy ordering with status updates at least.
Food was very tasty! Great service!!

A great location (8 & Haggerty) and even better food, tasty and as spicy as you like, plus superb service.
The food was fresh, hot, and sooooo delicious! Going to be dreaming about the pork soup dumplings for a looooong time! Loved it!
Idk but chicken pad done slapped frfr
Nice, clean, tasty
There are a lot of comments regarding the culture/ethnicity of the workers. There are many different languages spoken at this restaurant because it's truly an Asian-American family restaurant. The family who owns this restaurant is made of several East/Southeast Asian ethnicities.
The owners have been the same, they just are excited to introduce new food. You can call it fusion if it makes you feel better, but it's really a family restaurant that doesn't want to hold anything back.
The food is great and very flavorful! The decor is not fancy, dine in is fun and casual, but can be loud. I'd recommend calling in for carry out.
I'd recommend the Crispy Rolls, Kong Hong Pa, XLB (on the weekend), Khao Pad Curry, Sweet and Spicy Chicken, Gang Garee, Koko Beef Noodle Soup. If you're stoned- get the Curry Lachee...
One is the best Thai food I’ve ever ever eaten great service and definitely will be going back all the time
Terrible customer service. Messed up my order/made me wait for 30 minutes because they forgot to put my food in the system. Took no accountability and didn’t even offer an apology.
Came because they say vegan options, they do not. Oyster or fish sauce in All sauces.
Not recommended for dinning
Good food amazing waiters take a long time to serve me food tho
The only other better thai restaurant is in Asheville, NC. We travel all over the country and were very happy to have the vegetable red curry here. Amazing flavor, tastes great!
The food here is excellent every single time. The appetizers are fresh and hot. My two favorite dishes are the spicy noodles with pork and the bangkok chicken. Both are fantastic, but every menu item I've ordered has been great. A friend and i go there very often for lunch while working. It's a cute simple little interior, always clean, and the staff are friendly and accommodating of customization requests and allergy issues.
We ordered the chicken pad Thai and Tom Yum soup, both of which were delicious. Even my pickiest toddler loved it.
The food was delicious.
I’ve been coming to this place for a couple years now and the food and service has always been great up until yesterday. I go in for a carry out order and try to pay for a $50 order with a credit card and the lady refused to take my credit card because it was an Apple credit card. This is a regular credit card by Mastercard and she wouldn’t give me a clear answer as to why. She said they can take any other credit card except for the Apple Card. Again this wasn’t Apple Pay or anything unusual. It was a very embarrassing situation as I only carry one credit card on me and don’t carry more than $20 cash and I wasn’t given any reason as to why they couldn’t take it this time even though I’ve used it here countless times without any issues. It’s unfortunate but I won’t be coming back as the whole thing was confusing and a like degrading. I wasn’t given any clear info as to why they refused my payment.
Service was very thoughtful and quick. The food was delectable. The chefs and baristas were very kind to me. I also got extra sauce without asking.
I love this place! I always get the F1 with Shrimp, Mild Spice, and garlic cooked in. The Fried Rice is awesome and it taste the exact same every time I order it. The family that owns this spot is very pleasant and professional. I always get my food to go but every time I go there are lots of people dining in.
Great flavor and made right every time.
This place is a great place for take out and always makes the dishes as you remember them to be.
Nice and friendly staff with a bunch of options that are made to order.
Absolutely the best Thai food in the area! Great service too, dining in or takeout. The best part is most of the food can be prepared gluten free!!! Try the Pad Thai! It is delicious and the best part GLUTEN free noodles! It comes with nuts, but you can ask them to remove them or have it on the side. Different meats to choose from chicken, beef shrimp or tofu. They also serve Boba tea. The tea is mixed with milk or fruits and topped off with chewy tapioca pearls. My favorite is the Taro Boba! Mmmmh oh so good. Go and try the different flavors. They make the Boba a little bit on the runny side, but you can request for the consistency to be like milk shake ( I do) and they can accommodate your request.

Basil fried rice is 10/10, loved the smokey taste of rice. Disappointed with Drunken noodles, tasted more like Pad Thai that was tossed along with a bit of soy sauce.
Excellent fast Fresh food. If you rate this place anything less than a 5 you don't know what you are talking about. This is some of the best Thai food in the Detroit metro area
I visit this place often, and now they serve beer !! I challenge anyone to find better Thai
Food was okay. Atmosphere and service could be better.
One of my favorite places!
pretty good food! we’re vegetarian and was able to find options
Fresh food served quickly.
This is first time writing review , if I don't like restrarunt I just don't go there but this one I have to write abt. We ordered drunken Noodle, veg tofu, tofu Todd (for my daughter) veg soup and spring rolls. Most of the things were fine. Drunken noodles were only SALT , we asked them do something abt it. Waiter said " sauce is pre made we cant to much abt it" no curtecy of trying to make it better as if I am getting it for free. So solve this problem I asked him for white rice which was charged to me. I decided that I will not pay tip but front desk argumentd me to give tip and complained that bad food is not there fault and we have cook . I mean whoes job is to take it to the cook.
Extremely rude
Fantastic food every time, with friendly service to boot. Love their curry lachee!
Their portion sizes for carry out have substantially decreased in size which is disappointing.
Order was wrong first time, second time correct order-was okay tastewise. Customer service can get better.
Good wasn’t good very blend didn’t have any flavor 15$ for a dinner and it was nasty I was better off eating a chow mien noodle coup in the microwave
Our waiter was extremely attentive and responsive considering it was a Sunday night when we dined in.
The food was spectacular and I can say with full confidence the brown sauce they have is better than any other Thai place in the metro area. Perfectly sized portions, many many options.
I'll be frequenting Thai Fresh more often moving forward.
Pad see-ew tasted like eating candy. Ridiculously sweet. Got a headache after eating half of it from the sugar. Tofu tod was this artificial looking yellow color and was so dry it was like eating cardboard. Do NOT order from this place.
Checked out the reviews and figured we'd give this place a try. Got carry out. I'm usually a pad Thai girl but was in the mood to change it up. Got the drunken noodles. Very good! (Might be a new fav) I wasn't sure how to go on the heat, cuz I do like some spiciness.. did medium for pad cashew, and mild for drunken noodles and they gave me some extra spice on the side. Also got the chicken satay and a couple spring rolls. Everything was excellent!
Delicious fresh Thai food at a great price!
Tried first time. The chicken fried rice was very bland, dry, with hardly any sauce. I asked for HOT and it barely came close to mild. Portion was less than typical Thai food restaurants costing same. Wont go again.
I should have given 0 star for the rude behavior of the staff , we asked is this food Authentic Thai , as we are new and wanted to know , she replied in such a rude way that nowhere in America you get Authentic Thai food , if you need it go to thailand.
We just picked our order and walked off .
It’s a big no from us for this restaurant
Very rude staff and bad customer service
Really enjoyed the food!
They charged my friend for 40% tips during my absence. He just arrived the States.
That’s absurd
The server is very rude and greedy. We have already paid 20% for tip. But he told us it is too less, and force us to pay almost 40% for the tip.
Cook totally forgot to add salt in our fried rice. So, I did not write any tip on my bill. And when server noticed their is no tip given, he started scolding. And asking why you did not write tip. Multiple times forcing me to give tip even thought I did not like the service and food taste.
Good food and great service. The staff is very attentive and considerate
Take out only, food was ordered 30 mins before closing and it was made quickly and was delicious, I love their pad thai
The soups were delicious and the Pad tai , the Bangkok chicken and the beef fried rice
Our genuine Thai waitress was very prompt, polite and hospitable
Wow! Really tasty and delicious food. Medium is plenty hot btw .. great and cute lil restaurant. Friendly staff.
Very slow . Idk why . No customers but me …. Mid day on Saturday . Wasted money and time
I stopped here randomly because I thought it was strictly just a bubble tea place. While I was waiting for my tea order, I saw that they had one of my favorite Thai dishes that I don't see very often - Gang Garee. I ordered it as takeout on my way home, and I am so glad I did. It was one of the most delicious-tasting curries I've ever had! The melon bubble tea was really good too. It was sweet, foamy, and creamy like they blended fresh honeydew straight into it.
The Gang Gai and chicken fried rice are our faves. So yummy!
Great food and service
I ordered around 7 items and clearly mentioned no egg and no meat in any items. Once I reached home when I looked the order I see there was shrimp in one of the orders. I was surprised and called up the restaurant. One of the person who was not even taking my order was arguing me in phone that I dint mention that no meat. She hang up my phone. I even asked her to check her camera if there is any near the counter. This is very bad customer service!!! You can't make a customer fool and just apologize and ask me to return it. Rather she hang up the phone on me... Please be cautious before you order!!!!
Went on a Saturday .. food quality good and tasty. But the service is worse..the lady who served us is not friendly at all .. so unpleasant and rude.. need to improve services of staff , else it’s insult for their good quality and tasty food ..
They have vegetarian menu but it has fish oil. If you don’t ask they don’t tell.
Good food with reasonable price. Also clean and good customer service I'd come again for some Pho!.
No air conditioning turned on! Brutal.
D14 is the best in the menu my favorite 😍
Very good Thai food. Pickup times are quick for take out. This is our go-to spot for good Thai food in the area. Great flavors and portion sizes. Spring rolls are very small though. Definitely would recommend dining here or take out. Not the best Thai food I’ve had around here, but definitely at the top.
Phenomenal food AND service!!! Cooked to order and fresh, fresh fresh!! I highly reccomend this location. I'm very happy that I've stumbled upon this treasure, and I will be a repeat customer.
Food was really tasty.
I have been here three times and all of those times my experience was good. Last time I was there with my family for dinner. The dining area is not that large but clean and hosts were friendly. Didn’t take very long to get us seated. Good food compared to other Thai restaurants in the area.
Horrible experience. Cook messed up the food. I didn't complain and ate. But I didn't tip. The owner came to my table and demanded tip for the server as I did not return the food but ate. When I said I won't tip as food wasn't good, she was shouting saying this is cheap and I shouldn't dine in her restaurant if I don't tip etc. Never coming back. My friends went here few weeks back and they were also told the tip isn't enough and demanded for more. Never coming back.
I see other reviewers having the same issue. Pay your servers good money instead of demanding tip from customers.
Great food fresh and delicious! Friendly staff fast-ish service good price for what you get . Will be back and definitely recommend!!
Pad curry fried rice is delicious..They are friendly in helping out the spice level..Much recommend place to taste Thai food..
Good spot for a quick lunch
I went there after a bad day and we had really good food and I felt better. They have a lot to choose from and the chicken satay was out of this world even though I dropped one on the floor while deskewering. The decor leaves a bit to be desired but I guess it doesn't affect the food so we are alright. Good times!
This Thai-ish food just wasn’t good. Chicken satay shouldn’t be salty/spicy. Tom Kai soup missing coconut milk and meat. Main dish was bland generic Asian dish. Even rice was meh. Seemed like it was made in a rush and kitchen didn’t try very hard.
Also found dining room closes early at 8, so got carry out.
The food is really good ask for Thai hot if you actually want spicy. Hot was not spicy. A number of different dishes on the menu we wish it was closer to us honestly.
One of my most favorite places to eat
Ordered N3 tofu curry noodle. Had this delivered to where I work and was enjoying my food until I chewed on something hard! I spit the food out and saw a rock, when I took a closer look at my food, I saw a BUG in my food. YUCK! This was my first time ordering from Thai Fresh and will be my LAST!
Had Pad Thai noodles! Service is super fast. Food was tasty! Bubble tea was okay.
Tasty food, friendly service, great for carry out
エビのパッタイとエビのトムヤムスープが最高👏
Pretty good thai food, the curry noodle never fails me
It's worth the wait the foods always amazing!! The curry lamb is super tender and the pad thai hot worth every tear drop .
Very good done wright
Best Thai I have ever had. Repeat customer for many years and have not found another Thai restaurant that compares. I don’t do reviews of restaurants but for this one I will make an exception. Would give it 10 stars if I could.
Best Thai Food
The food was good, but I heard the kitchen staff speaking Chinese.Ha ha ha, I thought I ate Chinese food.
Great Great! Nice and friendly staff. Awesomeness food!
Stopped in for lunch, was promptly greeted and seated.. Server brought over a water and menu within minutes. Order the Tum Yum soup and Pad Prik. My biggest complaint is that the protein servings that they include in their dishes are very stingy. Barely any chicken in my soup or entree. I won’t be coming back here just because it’s nothing special.
there food is good but their take out portions are so small. Its disappointing and honestly sometimes the price are even different.
Best Thai food in the area! Made to order and so fresh! :) I have been coming here for over 10 years and they never disappoint!
reliable and accommodating
I go every week to this place. I found today my food was not up to par. The noodles where undercooked. I dont know why it just wasnt as good as it normally is.
Pay your waitress higher wage so you don't have to beg customers for tips when food is bad. As a customer I shouldn't have to tip out of guilt when my experience at the restaurant was terrible. It's kinda embarrassing when managers begs customer to give tips even when customer is not satisfied with the food.
Ordered fried rice but had no flavor whatsoever
Food was excellent 👍 but the service after paying full payment along with 20% gratuity waiters ask TOP OF IT TIP which is not ethical at all otherwise i would have give 5stars for hood
My family have been customers of this restaurant for over 7 years, almost on a weekly basis. We went out of our way to support them during the pandemic, which was even recognized by them. The level of service we experienced today was horrific to say the least and was enough for us to sever ties with them. From the moment we sat down, the short busboy was extremely disrespectful. We ignored a lot but when he mocked my husband for asking to sit away from people (my unvaccinated baby was with us), we decided to leave. While we were packing the kids up to leave, he continued to run his mouth and told us to write a review about it - so here I am writing that review about the extremely unstable man this establishment has employed. The food at Go Sy Thai, right up the street, next to Costco, was just as good and the service was WAY better.
Horrible customer service, guy there even said to mention him by name but I didn't catch it.
I order one dish and it is exceptional and fresh
Went here an stood at the door listening to the alert sound beeping for about 5 minutes. We could hear talking on and off but no one ever came to help. All signs said to wait for service. Went elsewhere for service and food.
Thai Fresh has very delicious food. I ordered the Pad Tani. The only critique I will give it is the spice level wasn't as hot as I would have thought. I ordered "hot" and it was very mild. I will try Thai Hot next time and hopefully that will be the spice level that I'm looking for. The prices are decent. The atmosphere is average. I only order take out from here. I wouldn't be against eating in though.
Amazing food!
I’ve been coming here for years. The flavor is very good and pretty consistent. service is good. Just very slow at peak dinning time. Expect a 30mins to 1 hour wait at nice weather weekend. But again I think if you come at none busy time the flavor will be even better and much faster.
By far the BEST Thai restaurant around. We moved out of Novi and now drive 45 minutes away for Thai Fresh. 1000/10!!!
Delicious food, big variety. The menu structure a bit confusing. Very good and supportive service.
Always a great meal, not too salty or sweet, I get mild plus and it's perfect.
First time and will not be our last. Tried 3 dishes (Pad Thai, Drunken Noodle, Sweet & Spicy Chicken). All of them were delicious. 10/10 will try again...
Food was runny last time horrible. Won't be back.
The people here are super nice. I enjoyed the Chef's special fish curry. It is fried fish fillets with curry.
Delicious Thai food. I love their pad thai and drunken noodle. If you're a spice fan like me, then get thai hot! - it'll leave your mouth burning in the good way!
Prices are fair, but if you visit before 3pm and get their lunch prices it's about $4 less which makes it alot of bang for your buck!
Spice strength and consistency and food quality consistency are amazing!
I am a regular to this restaurant. Letter I have had 2 continuous bad experiences and hence posting this review. Not sure if it’s a change in management, but food is not at all up to mark and the bubble tea was a Favorite, but they gave some thing else instead of bubbles this time and charged $9. When I called back, they wouldn’t agree since it was closing time. I am banning this restaurant for ever and don’t even suggest this to any one even for trying .
Some of the best Thai food around. Always fresh. The sesame noodles with chicken, massama curry, bangkok chicken and the fresh and crispy rolls are some of my favorite dishes/appetizers. Portions are nice size too.
What restaurant doesn’t provide napkins or plastic ware for take out/delivery? I wouldn’t recommend this place for take out or delivery.
“Basic” is the wrong word here. 4.2 is too low. This is a 4.6 takeout thai joint. The curry noodle soup and curry latchee are legendary.
Gave us the wrong order and when I returned it they put it on the table out front to give to another customer.
We ordered a taro bubble tea, they have taken the order and then said they didn't have taro, so we had to switch to one of their limited options since we already paid. The bubble tea was too sweet for my taste.
My wife really likes their chicken pad thai
Ordered a dish with the vegetarian option of tofu as the protien, although I'm normally not a tofu fan. and medium spice. The dish wss flavorful and moderately spicy. Veggies were nicely crisp & they somehow made the tofu cube's texture like turkey, so I really liked the food.
Staff and server wore face masks but the server's manner and attempt to maintain max distance from the customers like he was fearful of them was disconcerting.
Average food. Bad customer service.
Great Thai food best I've ever had.
