Bangkok Taste was fine! I ordered the Drunken Noodles with chicken medium. The food itself was solid, but, that was probably the hottest medium that I’ve ever had for Thai food. I really like spice, but, I’d probably consider their medium to be most places hot or even hot+. Since I enjoy spice, it wasn’t bad, I just think that it’s important to note that the spice seems to be VERY off. So I’d probably suggest being more conservative and ordering down when it comes to spice. Again, solid food just the spice was a bit off to me. The Drunken Noodles were pretty standard so I’d say it was a solid dish!

Wow. Checked out this place a bit spontaneously as it was nearby and there aren't very many Thai restaurants around, and we are so glad we did! We may be new regulars. The young woman working was a busy bee and on top of it. Very kind and helpful. The food far exceeded expectation. The interior could use some love from decor to a working soda fountain, and maybe some music? Either way we will be back, and highly recommend checking them out!

green curry!

Worst thai food ive had. Ive been to thailand and lots of places in us cities with thai food. The pad thai was white, which ive never seen and it was loaded with a vinger taste i couldnt get rid of. It ruined all the other dishes

My spouse and I ordered take-out from this restaurant a few nights ago. Admittedly, I tried to order from three other Thai restaurants before this one. But it was Saturday night; everyone was super busy. I should have just given up. But, we had a hankering for Thai. The people I dealt with—the woman on the phone, the woman who handed me the bag of food, and the woman who rang up my order—were all stellar: kind, focused and informative. The food…there’s no easy way to write this: it was terrible. We ordered veggie rolls and Pad Thai with tofu. And, all of it tasted old and dry. We threw it all out, feeling like we’d just thrown $25 out the window into a gusty abyss. At least the three women we dealt with are getting paid, deservedly so. I’m sorry, BT. We’re going out of our way next time to Thai Chef for something tasty and delightful.

If not the best, definitely one of the best curry recipes on the West side. Love their food, love that they never get my spice level wrong, and love that they take into serious consideration my food intolerances.

The drunken noodles with fried tofu is consistently delicious. Medium spice seems the same everytime. Would recommend.

I order from here often and their vegan curry is amazing!❤️ I've tried a few different places that offer vegan curry but this is by far my favorite. The proportions are great, lots of leftovers so it's surely worth the price. The flavors are wonderful and they cook their fried tofu perfectly. The staff is always very kind as well. Definitely in my top 5 favorite restaurants in the area.

Every time we order takeout the meals come in a plastic grocery bag of sauce. The meals, even those with a lot of sauce, come in an unsealed styrofoam container. We lose half the sauce to the grocery bag the styrofoam container is put in. A sealed plastic container would make so much more sense.

I want to start off my review with saying I LOVE thai food. I am a vegetarian though so i can't comment on the taste or quality of the meat. When I moved to the area back in 2019 (from chicago) I HAD to find a good place for Thai food and I've never been disappointed here! My favorite Thai ( have to have) dish is pad see ewe and it's amazing! Unfortunately because I love it so much it's what I always get so I haven't tried much of the menu but I have had some of the curries and they were all delicious. My husband gets the pineapple fried rice or the pad Thai and both of those were delicious as well. If I could pick only one restaurant to eat from, multiple times a week (factoring in location and the close proximity to my house and that I LOVE thai food) I would definently pick here.

I’ve tried a lot of Thai places around the Grand Rapids area, and this is the one I’ll keep coming back to. Food is amazing, and service is just as great.

Best hidden Gem in Jenison!

Bangkok Taste has two locations, I live in Grandville so i frequent the Jenison store.
Bangkok Taste is our “go to” for Thai.
I love the Drunken Noodle it’s so good.
Someone in the house always orders the Curry Pad Thai and it’s very good too.
The family that owns the place really knows what they’re doing.
I’ve never been disappointed.

I tried here cuz normal place was closed. I believe they are affiliated in some way with Aroy thai which is my favorite. Food was delicious. There was little differences but more than satisfied

I’ve been wanting to go here for quite some time now. I ordered the Pad Thai with crispy tofu. I must say, hands down, this was one of the best dishes I ever had. The staff were so friendly also. I’ll definitely be going back to try other entrees on the menu.

First time customer, I was craving Thai food, and I found this place, and I’m glad I did! Ordered online, was ready on time, friendly staff too. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, it was very good. First time I’ve ever had a wedge of lemon served with Pad Thai though, typically it would be a lime, was still good though. Also I got the medium + spice level and it was probably two levels too hot for me.
What I order from here again? Absolutely
When I get it this less spicy next time ? Absolutely.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken and this is probably the most unappetizing looking meal I have ever tasted. It also did not taste good at all. Would not recommend.

I got the drunken noodle dish here before as well as the crab rangoons and thought they were both really good; however, I just recently tried the Pad Thai and thought it was just okay. I also tried the Thai tea and it was not the best. I’ve had much better Thai teas elsewhere. However, I understand that there are variations in how different Thai restaurants make their items so I can’t complain too much for it not being exactly how I wanted it to be. My boyfriend on the other hand got a seafood dish and loved it. The staff was really friendly and the food was not bad by any means, so I will definitely be coming back here to try something I haven’t had yet.

OMG! It is SO GOOD!!!! Coming from CA we have been missing the diversity of cultures and foods since moving to West Michigan. Most of the very few non American Cuisine eateries in the area taste watered down to suit the majority clientele base which is not what we’re looking for. We want the real deal authentic flavors that make the food unique to its culture.

My husband spotted this place while driving by so we decided to give it a go and thank GAWD we did. I never in a million years would have expected to find such a culinary treasure tucked away in Jenison! It looks like your typical hole in the wall strip mall restaurant but delivers world class food and service. The waitress was so friendly and personable. She went above and beyond making a list of her personal favorite restaurants in the area. And the food….. I’m drooling just thinking about it. It’s clearly made fresh to order and is well crafted using authentic recipes and ingredients.

Do yourself a favor and try it. I guarantee you won’t regret it.

Bangkok Taste is the first restaurant I have had Thai food at. They definitely set the bar high. My wife and I absolutely love the food. We have tried 3 other Thai restaurants around Grand Rapids and none of them came close to the flavor and spice of Bangkok Taste. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

The best Thai food in the area!

The Pad Thai that I ordered today was really good but however I wanted the noodles to be mild spicy. But when I tasted the noodles it didn't really taste spicy at all it was all just barely any taste of spice and that was the only dissatisfaction for today.

I called on my way over to order my food because this has been one of the best Thai places in Grand Rapids. The girl put me on hold and never came back. I made it all the way there but I decided to stay on hold to see how long it would take for her to get back. It's 15 minutes on hold at this point. I ordered my food and I was still on hold. I sat down to wait for my food and she answered the phone after about 20 minutes. While waiting for my food, I watched her put people on hold and then go play on her phone with no one but me in the restaurant. Food is probably going to be good but what intentionslly horrible service.

OK. I’ve been sympathetic to the service industry, I’ve tipped 30%+ before receiving take out orders. I’ve accepted some errors. WelI I now feel that has to stop. ….What is going on??? This isn't just this instance. They wonder where the problem is and blame their customers. I placed an order. No special requests. Get home and it is missing 2 main ingredients!! I call them and they said OK..we must have missed them. if you want to drive back we will give you the 2 ingredients. If you want to drive back 30 minutes round trip for the ingredients we said we must have missed… They are destroying themselves.. Another place I will not patronize. And I’m sure others won’t. Shame. So sad.

Love this place!! Always friendly and since I don't always get into G.R. it's nice to know there's a local restaurant with quality and delicious cuisine.

The green curry is delightful. The Bangkok fried rice with tofu is lovely but a bit in the salty side. Yellow curry rice is wonderful. If you order hot spice level it will actually be hot, which is fantastic. Order pick-up, it's quick, efficient and better than the delivery services. They even pack the bags with cardboard in the togo bags so you don't have leakage or anything.

You will never find a better Thai place to eat at than Bangkok Taste. A buddy of mine told me about it two decades ago and I still go. I actually get cravings for their food from time to time. Especially their noodle soup with chicken and extra spice. I have tried other Thai places, they are okay, but just aren't as good.

Food is always delicious I highly recommend this restaurant, however my goodness I wish they would invest a few extra dollars a month for a phone line that can accept more than one call at a time considering that is the only way I can spend money with them. I will try calling one or two times before giving up and going somewhere else. 🤷‍♂️ this one lost sale would have justified it

Everything on the menu is amazing, but my favorite by far is the curry fried rice. I'm not usually a fan of duck, but the duck here is great as well, and my wife's favorite. Definitely try this place out if your in the mood for Chinese.

Chicken pad tai....was sent home with no sauce, just plain noodles... its comical how little you have to care about what your cooking to forget such a huge part of a dish, box it up, and send it out looking nothing like it should. Edit/response: Nah, this had no sauce, I've had your pad tai before, this ain't it. How about owning your mistake instead of making up stories about a magical clear pad tai sauce, there's a pic on your yelp of it.

I think this is the worst Pad Thai I have ever had. I don’t know if I just got bad batch but there was no sauce, absolutely none. It just tasted like lemony noodles, there wasn’t even enough crushed peanuts to have any peanut flavor. I’ve never had a dry Pad Thai, the only flavor this had was lemon, it was a huge let down.

Amazing thai

I went to GVSU and would go here like every weekend. I adore the pad se ew, and my husband loves the fried rice. I graduated six years ago now and moved away. I have compared every Thai restaurant to Bangkok Taste and found them all lacking. In fact, I had family that was driving by and I made them stop and pick up takeout to bring to me! Just as good as I remembered it! I really wish I still lived near here.

The only place for Thai in my opinion

We've been eating here for 10+ years. My family is vegan and their menu is wonderfully accommodating, not to mention crazy delicious. Recently, my husband called in an order that I picked up. Upon double checking some items with the cashier it became apparent my husband had not used all the magic words to make our dishes fully vegan - completely OUR fault, not theirs. However, the cashier insisted on making it right and the owners got to cooking us replacement dishes right away - which we received free of charge and within about five minutes! Outstanding customer service and amazing food!

This is a real gem of a restaurant. Food is reasonably priced, delicious, and there's plenty of it! Personally, I love food that is very spicy, and this place delivers the heat. If heat isn't your thing, the mild is suitably mild. We normally order for pickup, and food is ready within 15-20 minutes in my experience. It is one of my family's go to restaurants in the area for a quick meal if I don't feel like cooking.

Peanut curry noodles are amazing!

I really wish I could give this local a good review but we have tried it numerous times in last 6-7 years. Always inconsistent and not that good. Our usual is curry pad Thai which love the ingredients but sometimes is too dry , noodle over cooked with minimal sauce - it all depends on the cooks- always ask mild-medium bc it’s so inconsistent what you get. Mild is not enough kick with very little flavor but medium your eyes & nose is running! We have tried a handful of Thai places consistently- only one nearest to Hudsonville that provides consistent flavor & spice - authentic & never dry from their menu is Thai Avenue,Zeeland. I have a favorite in GR & Lansing but not convenient.
