Thai Fast Food! Dine-in or Carry-out
Now catering!! (Call today and ask for prices!!)
This low-key diner has amazing food better than Bangkok peppers. We ordered the pad Thai and the Thai basil chicken (Gra Pao Gai). And for part of the combo we had the fried bean curd and the hot and sour soup with the fried wingdings. This was a happy surprise to find this restaurant so close to Flint. We were traveling south on 23 and needed some inspiring dining options. The service was very good very quick. Prices are very reasonable. This will be a future dining spot.
Came in a little before noon, place was quiet and clean. I ordered May's fried rice, crab Rangoon, and a Thai iced tea. Food came quick. Portions were impressive. Rangoon was excellent. The spice level was on par with what I expected when I ordered. Overall a very nice meal.
It was our first time at Bangkok Express and it won’t be our last. We ordered the Yellow Curry Noodles (which was not on the menu) and the Three’s A Company. Both dishes were excellent. We asked for MILD and that’s exactly what we got. Perfect.
The young lady that waited on us was one of the sweetest and friendliest people we’ve ever met in the restaurant business. She was very knowledgeable and prompt as well.
The building temperature was a little warm for our liking, but the temperatures outside have been fluctuating so often, that it can be hard to regulate. A few degrees lower would save money and provide a more comfortable dining experience though.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. It’s hard to believe that the restaurant has been in business for 5 years and this was our first time. Highly recommended!
Service was good but unfortunately the food was not. I ordered yellow curry noodles and fried tofu. The noodles were dry. Not nearly enough sauce. The real disappointment came when I tried to order peanut sauce. I was told they do not serve that. That is a definite deal breaker for me. Peanut sauce IS part of the Thai food experience. I will not be going back.
Summary: SO good!
I’ve tried most of the Asian food in southern Genesee County since moving back to Michigan a couple of years ago and have been very disappointed. Tried Mays Bangkok for the first time last night and I’m sold. We ordered 2 fried rice and one drunken noodles. When I got home to Linden I had a completely different order. I wasn’t happy to drive back up to Hill road but so glad I did. She was so apologetic about the mixup she refunded the original purchase, made us new orders and sent me home with both the remade and wrong orders. And, WOW, was it delicious! Perfectly cooked with obvious fresh ingredients. We’ve finally found our place!
Delicious food! Sweet & Sour Chicken not fried, lots of veggies & fruit. Curry Chiicken was spiced just right. We enjoyed lunch very much. Casual, small dinning space. Food was out fast. Service excellent.
This place is so yummy and reasonably priced. The ingredients are fresh and they don't skimp on protein. It's a great option for people who want thai and don't want to spend $20 on one dish. I love their red curry chicken and kiss me beef!
Excellent food and staff! Majority of menu is gluten free as well
This food is basically chinese. There is nothing authentic Thai about it. I got mild food poisoning for this place 🤢

The best thai food around! I love their noodle dishes. Take out is always fast
Really great pho, really nice people and a very clean environment

I was greeted with a smile and prompt service. I ordered yellow curry with mixed vegetables and received it in about 10 minutes (or less). The music was playing a little too loudly, and other than that, I had a pleasant experience

The chicken pad Thai is to die for!
Inside could use a paint job.
Staff was very friendly.
Very clean, excellent customer service, and the food always tastes wonderful! Thank you so much! Love the pad thai, spring rolls and crab Rangoon!
Ordered take out and the food came hot and it was absolutely delicious. Will be ordering from here again!
We were just at the Flint, May's Bangkok restaurant. It was fantastic. As good, if not better than May's Bangkok Express in Ferndale (which we always love, when we get down that way.) The Food is the best Thai restaurant that we have ever eaten (we have eaten at all of them.). You must try the Wing Dings (chicken wings). They are like nothing you have every had be for. Highly recommend . AAA+++ Best of the Best. I am making myself hungry just writing this review. You have to try their Pad Ped dishes (love their red curry).
Food was excellent! Had pad Thai!!
The business name on Google listed for this address doesn't match the name on the restaurant. Not sure if there was a name change or completely different restaurant. When I visited them on Monday afternoon, there was nobody eating inside and I looked over the menu and didn't see many typical Thai dishes. There was no coconut soup (chicken nor shrimp), no duck dishes of any kind and limited curry selections. Menu looked more like general Asian or mixed Chinese / Thai. I left without ordering or eating. I was looking for a traditional Thai restaurant and this wasn't it.
Pad Thai and the Curry Chicken were so good! Super fast too!
Absolutely amazing food and amazing customer service I have ordered from here 3 times and every time it has surpassed my expectations. Highly recommend.
I love chicken pad Thai. It's one of my favorite foods and it's the best at this restaurant. I call ahead and it's ready by the time Im there and it's pricey but one order feeds 3 people. It's huge orders.

This is the closest Thai food restaurant to my area and it’s actually one of the good ones. My food has been fresh every time. The flavors are always amazing and spot on. The spice levels are always exactly how you ask for them to be and consistent. The staff is friendly. My only wish is that they were closer so I could visit them for more frequently.
Yum. Was craving pho and Bangkok express delivered. The broth was hot, tasty and fragrant! They happened to have their Pho special this day and we were so excited. I wanted pho and my husband wanted Thai. So it definitely worked out. We'll definitely be coming back.
Some of the best food and best customer service I've had in a while!
This place is a gem! The crab rangoons are bigger than what you normally get, the soup is delicious and spicy and the service was super quick and friendly.
Ordered medium spice pad Thai- and it was pretty bland. Every pad Thai food I’ve ever had the noodles are dark and saucy, but this places noodles were completely white, and the “sauce” was as thin as water. Wouldn’t return. Pretty disappointed.
Never had curry with green peppers as part of the base. Very very good
Friendly person at the counter, but clearly this is more of a take out place. The food was OK, but I wouldn't say truly Thai.
It's OK
I eat here entirely too much. Shrimp fried rice add beef and fried bean curd. Then pour remaining peanut sauce on rice. My order is never ever messed up either.
The staff was helpful and very kind. The lady working up front helped me pick out my order. The place has very pretty pictures inside. The menu has a good variety and several levels of spice you can choose from. The food is inexpensive, flavorful, and a good size. I would 100percent eat here again.
Great place for Thai food very reasonably priced she did a
Delicious food, great prices, wonderful staff!
Lo e the food
Loooveee this place! Great prices and way better than down the road. Really delicious!
The food and service were both excellent. Try the Drunken Noodles.
The curry was great, super fast service.
Other than average tasting spring rolls, our food was truly awful. Both dishes smelled like fire starter, they were soupy and very watery. Chicken was not seasoned and tasted very bland. Sadly, this was a major disappointment.
I had the curry noodles, only with yellow curry vs the red curry. It was very good.
Food tasted like the Styrofoam containers it came in. Really disappointed about that. Otherwise would have been a pretty good meal.
Super delicious their fried rice is amazing and they're always friendly
I opened the lid and all I could smell was burnt oil. My green curry was inedible. My wife’s Pad Thai wasn’t much better; overcooked noodles and it was swimming in sauce that tasted like it came out of a bottle at the grocery store. I don’t know how this place is still around with an excellent Thai restaurant 2 miles down the road.
This our favorite Thai food in the area. Great price and flavor with fair portions. They are consistent. My favorite is the red Thai tofu curry....so good 😋
The green curry was spicy, but not flavorful, the spring rolls were greasy and my friend got the chicken pad thai and was not happy either.
I ordered off DoorDash. The Pad Thai was dry. The Drunken Noodle was made with the wrong noodles and was very bland..it tasted nothing like drunken noodles. The spice level was off, ordered Med and it had no spice. I would not recommend this place.
This is not Thai food, sweet and sour pad Thai noodles was full of liquid with a taste of vinegar and no spice at medium level. Pineapple fried rice is no more than Chinese chicken fried rice with pineapple in it.
Horrible food.
Great customer service and cooked food fast for 19 hungry people
Always delicious food in generous quantities. I have tried all Thai places in the area and Bangkok Express is #1! Carryout is always quick and easy and a great price.
Best Thai food in a 30 mile radius by far. Great portions for the price. I'm order here at least once a week
Very good and well priced.
Stopped in for the first time as we were nearby. Food was very fresh, with nice balance to the flavors overall. The dishes are a little different than the typical places I have gone, in a pleasant way. Service was also outstanding. I will certainly go back!
My food was absolutely piping hot, which was nice. But it was also absolutely swimming in coconut milk. It was like a watery soup because of how much they used. Tasted pretty okay though.
Very reasonably priced which is rare nowadays. All I've had is the potato Curry and it is awesome.
I assumed this restaurant was your typical Asian American food spot. Order sweet and sour chicken expecting the norm but to my surprise it's type style and oh so good. Mad at myself for not getting the curry.
Excellent Food! Good Quality!
Good food, nice service, huge portions!
Overrated af
It has really good potato curry. Overall, they are a tasty quick and inexpensive Thai food option.
Best Thai I've been to. #12 chicken hot!
Awesome food. I eat there alot
Good service and good food. Dare I say best thai in Flint
Eat here. That's it.
I’ve always gone down the road for my Thai food, but this place opened up close by house so we tried it. It’s absolutely delicious! I never thought I would like a Thai place better than the one I used to go to, but this place has larger portion sizes and is wayyy better priced. The food is always fresh and hot, minimal wait times and the staff are very friendly.
Best in Gennesee County Hands down
Love it best Thai food in the Flint area I've been eating here for years at their original Metro Detroit location and their new location does not disappoint
This is tied for my favorite thai food in genessee county. First time trying pad thai with orange instead of just lime and its surprisingly good. And the pad thai comes with shrimp AND chicken so thats a win. I got the spiciest heat level and its not overloaded with curry like most places will do, turning the dish into a paste... deffinatly going to go back for drunken noodles next
Eat here weekly, everything is always amazing
This has become my new favorite as far as Thai curry is concerned. I love the seasoning, texture, and the quality of the meat that you use as well as the size of your cut vegetables! 🍛. I would trust that everything else that I have not had yet is as wonderful as well!
Order was fast, fresh, and delicious!! Flavors were spot on. Establishment was clean and staff was extremely friendly. Highly recommend!
We have only ordered from here a few times, but my husband and daughter both agree BEST drunken noodles! They would eat your food every week!!
Today was my second time going but both times was great with everything done in great timing and the food is also good.
Chicken Thai curry, mmm. The last few times I've called they have been close
Great Pad Thai with generous serving.
I've taken 3 trips there to get food to take to work for lunch, and all 3 times the food was excellent! I've had the spiced pork, the drunken noodles, and the spiced chicken, and l enjoyed each one. You can order how hot you want your food (l go with the medium plus) and it definitely has bite to it. You definitely get your money worth in size portions ($9 lunch size, $10 dinner size) They're located in a strip plaza right next door to Home Depot. I would tell anyone who likes to get food from the Canton Chinese restaurant on Fenton Rd to just go around the corner on Hill Rd. and try this hidden gem out.
Extremely disappointed. On the verge of asking for my money back. I ordered pad thai. There is no sauce at all. Everything is dry. I will definitely not be returning to this place.
Great food and service!
Delicious! Great service, excellent value.
Pad Thai with chicken was DELICIOUS!!! Medium heat is a great spice level. Very nice people, and fast service.
Something different if u never tried it
Great Thai food, I enjoyed it very much!
Excellent food. Best Thai food in Flint. I've tried the other Thai food places in town and this place beats them all. There is no comparison, and their staff is super friendly. The curry noodles and fried rice are two of my favorite dishes!
Best Thai Food in Flint. No real competitor's for the title of Thai King!
Good food
Top end Thai! I am exceptionally picky about Thai, and Bankok Express is top notch. The noodles were perfect, not that sticky, cooked too long mess you can run into... PERFEFT. The spice was a little on the light side, but that's not bad. Those with a delicate tongue will appreciate it. I ordered "medium" but I'll go with "hot" next time.
This is a wonderful place for a quick sit down or take out of some top shelf Thai food. It's one of those tiny gem restaurants, you're glad is there.
Love this place. So glad they opened.
Excellent food and fast service. The food was very fresh and the presentation was also great.
Best pad Thai I’ve ever eaten. Great food and super clean!!
Recently, I hosted a large dinner (75+ people) for work. Bangkok Express was recommended to me from a colleague living in the area. After speaking over the phone, we agreed it would be best to meet up and discuss the proper meal so that we can satisfy the taste buds of all. To say all of the guests were satisfied is an understatement! The food was PHENOMENAL! What made my experience even better, is that the customer service was EVEN BETTER! Rena, Sam and May went above and beyond to ensure that this event was a success. Everything from getting my special request of Halal meat to the tray warmers and everything in between! Also, the food was delivered on time and they even brought helping hands to unload all of the food and ensured all the guests needs were met. I highly recommend using Bangkok Express for all of your catering needs.
Very nicely presented and fresh. Have only been there twice so far but great Thai food.
Love it
Tasty Thai:)
If I could give reviews based on flavor this would be a five star review. However, when reviewing a business you must take all facets of quality and service into account. The 1 Star aspect of this review was the lack of actual real food. I ordered a veggie delight. Typically in all other Thai restaurants I frequent you get tofu. Or at least it suggests it so you know it’s not coming. For $9 dollars I got a lot of delicious sauce, not nearly enough rice and very little vegetables. It screamed “trying to maximize profit” I actually had to go to Meijer and purchase some vegetables to actually get some substance.. I would rather a restaurant charge more (although the other three places I go typically have more and charge the same.) than try and be cheap with the food. I fear with a Thai restaurant just down the road that loads you up on good quality food for roughly the same price) this place will not last long. Sad, because I wanted so much to like this alternative.
Great food and super fast service. Food ready in less than 10 min. Fresh and flavorful
Amazing food. Quick service and Friendly Staff! A must try!
Crab Rangoon ... delish, crispy and comforting!!!
I've had takeout several times now have been very happy with the quality and service every time. Once was a catering order for a group of 15-20 and everyone loved it. I've tried the pad thai and a few different curry and brown sauce dishes. They are happy to answer questions and make recommendations.
Good food, waitress was nice, very fast service and food came out hot and delicious! Will continue to give them my service, also forgot to mention this place is the cheapest Thai food I’ve seen around the area but don’t let the prices scare you the food is GREAT and big portions for the money
My first impression was that the restaurant had a modern, minimalistic look. It was very clean. Good music played at the appropriate volume.
Very limited drink menu. Menu has a very good selection of Thai favorites and specialities, available in your choice of meat.
I had crab rangoon as an appetizer and ordered the curry with chicken as a combo meal. The hot and sour soup was deliciously spicy and every spoonful was perfectly balanced. The main entree was the best curry I’ve had in 15 years, if not the best curry I’ve ever had. Seriously. I eat out a lot and favor very flavorful, rich ethnic dishes. The portion size is quite large, easily two full meals for an average appetite. Just like the soup, the ingredients were balanced and the dish had just the right amount of fried rice, sauce, vegetables and meat. I asked for it hot, and it was just right, though it could have been hotter for my taste. Personally, if my nose isn’t running, I’d like it hotter, but I eat hot food regularly and I’m not sensitive to it. The food came out very promptly.
My dining partner had the pepper steak and it was almost as good as mine! The steak was tender and the sauce had amazing flavor.
The Chef came out to speak with us, which is something I value very much. I enjoy meeting the person that makes my food and thanking them personally.
A (dinner) meal for two - beverages, appetizer, and combo entrees (with leftovers) was about $30 - very fair considering the large portion size and exceptional quality. The to-go containers are good, too.
If I could suggest improvements - the waitstaff seems a little inexperienced, but very polite. The couple of minor issues with our experience was immediately taken care of in a no-fuss way.
I will definitely be back if I’m in the area again!
Fantastic food and friendly service. It’s a great family operated small business. The cook often can be seen interacting within patrons in the dining room. I’ve visited weekly since the grand opening and anticipate many for enjoyable meals. Give them a try — you won’t be dissatisfied.
1st time here. Small place, seats about 30 if all tables filled. Had the lunch red curry (#4). Very tasty and rocket hot. Used to the other place that puts Thai basil in theirs, and it was missing here but still good. Service was very good. Bill came to $10.50 with a can of diet coke. Pretty good sized menu. Will be back to try some more. :)
Nice Waitress/Cashier. Good crab Rangoon. Pad Thai with scallops not so good. They use lemons instead of limes, not a deal breaker, but why? Scallops overcooked and taste bad, the sauce was too sweet for me, I could not determine if there were any peanuts, I ordered medium + spicy, but don't think it had any spice. All that said it wasn't the worst Pad Thai that I've ever had, but not quite middle of the road either. I would give 2 1/4 stars, but full stars only. Hope they were having an off day, I really wanted to like it......
Best Thai food in Grand Blanc reasonable prices Excellent service Very happy been there 3 times
