Very cozy, run by a family in Caledonia. Their Thai food and prices blow every other Thai place out of the water. There are tons of flavor, spice, and anything you can want from a Thai place.

I have gone here multiple times in the past few months with friends, and I have not been disappointed a single time.

My son urged me to try this place and glad i did. Really good food. Not a curry person but plenty of options. The spice levels can get high. Mild+ was more than enough spice for me. It was all made correct and on time

Delicious and good spicy Thai food, I am originally from Taiwan so our Thai food is quite different than that here but I was not disappointed at all, I love the peanut curry especially with the sauce all over fried rice, and even though I’m more of a rice person than a noodle fan, I very much enjoyed their chicken pad Thai too.

It was my first time trying this tiny restaurant in my town and boy was I happily surprised! I tried the drunken noodles, medium spicy and the peanut curry noodles, medium spicy. Both were so delicious. Medium spicy is quite spicy if you're not prepared for it. Personally it was good for me, but it might be a lot for some people. Those drunken noodles with chicken were so good. The peanut curry was good, but the carrot medallions in it were quite raw. I've found my new go to for spicy and delicious food. I look forward to making my way thru the menu.

We had the lunch special, $8. I had the Peanut Curry, which seemed like Panang, and hubby had the Pad Pak, which seemed like Chinese brown sauce. They were both good. He got mild and thought it was spicy, and I got mild+, which was pretty spicy. You can eat in the tiny dining room for lunch on real dishes. Dinner is just takeout. Hopefully my pictures of the current menu loaded.

Always quick and easy to get your food. Very good food! Only thing is you may want to check on Facebook if they're open because they are family run and sometimes have different hours. Amazing little gem of a restaurant!

Cheak your order before you leave. Ordered 2 sets of shrimp egg rolls only received one so a one star for service. There is no dining in for dinner, no atmosphere rating. Food is ok. Ordered extra beef in my dish and did not notice an increase. The flavors are good, and the curries are all different.

Best Thai food around however, the business hours are inconsistent. Almost every time I try to go they are closed which is frustrating.

No offense to Caledonia, but it doesn't exactly scream "cultural epicenter". Imagine my surprise when I get some of the best beef pad thai I've ever had from a restaurant in Caledonia (even better than some I've eaten in Grand Rapids shhhhh)

Pad Thai is my favorite food so I have had a LOT of it. And Bangkok Chef is GOOOOOOD

Small family run restaurant. First time ordering there the food was good we had Drunken noodles and panang curry. The curry was ordered with hot spice which was good but very spicy. The Drunken noodle was the best out of the two and I would go back for more curry but less spice. The second round we ordered Thai noodle soup and Tom Khá. The Thai noodle soup was too sour and watered down. The Tom khá had the contents listed in the menu but the owner seemed stingy on the vegetables and meat. The soup was very watered down and did not taste right. It was also too sour and not enough coconut milk was added to get the creamy soupy texture. It was overall disappointing on the second round. My wife had to recook the Tom khá to make it taste right.

Inconsistent hours. Went on a Thursday at noon for lunch. Completely closed with no message

Best Thai food in GR PERIOD. Never had a bad meal EVER! Locally owned. Lots of pride and experience goes into every dish. Highly recommend!

Bangkok Chef is of my favorite restaurants EVER!! I come here all the time. They always get my order right (I am one picky gal), and Sonya is the sweetest! Most importantly, the food is out of this world amazing!!

Ordered Crab Rangoon, Spring Roll and Druken Noodle Med. Heat. Hardly any filling in the rangoon and the oil they fry in should have been changed a long time ago. I like heat. The drunken noodle was so hot, me and my husband could not continue to eat it. The spice over ran the dish. Could not taste any other flavors.

The food was burnt, cold, and had 3 long black hairs in it.

Delicious sesame chicken and green curry chicken n vegs, rice noodles with chicken, sweet n sour vegs w chicken delicious!. Ordered for 4 people , we have enough for 2 more meals! Didn't try the duck or catfish yet, next time !

This is by far my favourite Thai place of all time, I've scoured all of west and south Michigan trying different places but no one can top them. I now live an hour away from them and still come by at least once a month for their food, it's truly divine.

Food is good, if you can actually catch them when they're open. The hours posted are apparently more of a guideline. I'm currently sitting outside 30 minutes after they were supposed to open. This has happened several times before.

This is a great Thai restaurant with fast and prompt business and more food than you could ever eat. The waitstaff are polite, helpful, and had a perfect attentive service.

You can easily order one dish and feed 2 or 3. You definitely get your money worth the food in terms of quality and quantity.

every time I try to call and order for pick up the phone just rings. I have not been able to order a few times in the past couple of weeks.

the food quality is different depending on the days. They are not every consistent with their hours.

My only complaint is that 3 out of 4 times I've been there, they've been closed! once for a funeral, once for a family reunion, and once - no clue why. It was after they were supposed to open but the place was dark and no one would come to open up the door.

Food was decent, but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Went out for a date night and heard a baby fussing in the kitchen during our whole meal. We were trying to get a break from the kids. NOT a relaxing, quiet environment.

Great food! Although they are rarely open at 11, which is what the hours posted are for opening. Very disappointing making the drive for them not to be open at 11 when posted. 3 times we have got there at 11:15 and waited as the place was closed. Only to see them open later on our way back past around 11:40.

If you are constantly going to open late then change your hours of operation.

Favorite thai place by far!

I ordered the Pad Thai to go and the portion size was great but it was incredibly salty. Way too overpowering. Literally tasted like salt noodles and I've had pad Thai other places.

I've been in the airline industry for eleven years now, and I've had some pretty interesting Thai food around the globe... the beef drunken noodles / pad ki mao in this little restaurant in little Cascade, MI is just amazing! What a pleasant and unexpected surprise.
