THAI STREET FOOD
Recommend going for lunch on a weekday to minimize your chances of having to wait to be seated. We were sat immediately and took a bit to look over the menu before ordering ( you can only order once). Pad Thai was delicious, one of the best I have had. We also enjoyed the duck salad even though it was slightly over seasoned but nonetheless delicious. Don’t think you can go wrong with ordering several plates for the table and sharing family style.
The best Thai food in Miami! Dining here is laid back and fun atmosphere. Staff is always so kind & helpful with picking up to-go food, or getting a table as fast as possible!
Favorites so far have been the spring rolls, pad thai, and the duck basil dish!
Excited to come back soon and try all the curry options. Thank you for all the yummy food!
Best Thai food in Miami Hands down ! If you come here at night , expect a wait as the place is small with limited seating . Staff is always kind and consistently refilling water and busing plates . You can only order once so make sure you get everything you want as everything on the menu is absolutely delightful.
The food is sooo good! It’s just like eating in Thailand—authentic and full of flavor. I loved the baby ribs, and my husband said it’s the best Thai restaurant he’s ever had!
One small thing: some customers were smoking cigarettes nearby. Luckily, we asked one of them politely if they could move away, and they did, so it didn’t ruin the mood too much. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will definitely come back!
One thing I appreciated was the fair pricing, especially for a Miami restaurant. The quality of the food, drinks, and service all felt like a great value, which can be hard to find in the city. The food was delicious but i didn’t like the rule, order on time and no more, even if we order different dishes still i wanted more to order but i couldn’t… 😣
Catching up with my dear friend Senen of 25 years and counting! We had lunch at Lung Yai Thai Tapas and if you haven’t been then you must go! Authentic Thai street food and it was delicious. Dishes we had were the Som Tam (Papaya Salad), Shrimp Dumplings, Khao Mam Kai, and Pad Thai with beef. Great spending time with you buddy and let’s plan again soon. I took leftovers to my hubby and he said -wow!
Perfect spot for Thai food! It’s a small spot so wait times can be long , but that just tells you how great the food is. Ambiance is typical Thai vibes which makes it even more unique with its lighting.
Pro tip: if you have groups of 4 + you might have to wait longer since space is limited. Get there early!
Great spot
Unique dining atmosphere with absolutely delicious food. Customer service was phenomenal. Great prices. Only waited 20 minutes for 2 to be seated on a Friday night. The only negative I’d say is the seating isn’t very comfortable, but everything is so good.

Food was ok. Fast food street like Thai food. Asked politely no to add onions to the noodles I ordered to go and they added even more onions. I found out it only when came home to eat.
The restaurant featured in a Michelin guide among many many others who paid for this but nowhere to be found information about that restaurant getting actual star as they claim.
Their baby back ribs and soup made me very sick I got a stomach virus and had to go to coral gables hospital for treatment . Couldn’t stop throwing up after eating here. Be careful
Chinese at the main door is very rude and I respectfully with people. He needs to learn customer service
*sighs* this place has been on my list for quite some time. I’m from the NYC metro and as many know, the SoFlo food scene is pretty mid (overall) so I was excited to satisfy my Thai craving with this hyped up spot.
The food here was tasty but price doesn’t match portion size - ya’ll are getting fleeced. Plus, since they’re trying to churn tables as quickly as possible, they’re constantly up your ass. When my date warned me, I brushed it off at first but 10 min into sitting and being told to hurry up with my order…😅…and then to mess the order up 😂 (ordered Thai tea never received)
Just no need for me to go back 🤷🏽♂️. Michelin Stars are just smoke and mirrors.
Please avoid this place at all costs! The food is horrible, and the service is just as bad. I ordered a ‘chef’s recommendation,’ and it was plain white rice with a boiled slice of chicken on top and a dressing overloaded with salt! Then we ordered baby ribs that were burnt and also way too salty. The duck salad was terrible! Overall, the worst dining experience I’ve had in Miami!
Pad thai and duck salad were really good.
Friendly staff, location needs improvement.
Food was good
Deliciousness
Absolutely fantastic. Expect a bit of a line, but fast service. The food is amazing. If you’re not used to spicy, then just get mild or plain; the medium and spicy are pretty serious, but with a nice buildup. This is quite a hidden gem on calle ocho!
Honestly so disappointed by this place. We are on the hunt for the best pad Thai in Miami and we ordered chicken pad Thai for delivery. It was so incredibly dry, overcooked chicken, and they did not include the extra lime or peanuts we asked for. Barely any sauce. We also both woke up with extremely horrible stomach pain (and not the kind that’s related to spicy food which we love). Sad because the reviews seemed so promising!!

Cozy hole in the wall. Food was amazing, these were the best dumplings I've ever had. My only complaint is the portions are bit small for a fat American such as myself. I was left hungry.

Best ever thai food but service is quite rude, maybe because they are always full… but still, i would love to see this change. I put up with it because I love their food, but i have taken guests and they feel uncomfortable and refuse to go back
Love this place. The currys and noodles are next level, and the atmosphere is legit!!
Pushy waiter. U cant order twice in one sitting. Portions weird. Ribs awful. Expensive

Good food good service. One time order.
I came to Lung Yai mostly because of the Michelin star. I’ve had my fair share of Thai food as it’s one of my favorite cuisines. However, the food was not tasteful. The majority of food on the menu is fried and quite frankly lacked any taste. My food arrived about 12 minutes after my companion. The positive is that the waiter was able to at least recommend some dishes and was patient with the table. Nevertheless, I was very underwhelmed and didn’t finish my plate. I left the restaurant hungry.
Terrible experience. We had visited the place a few months ago, and the food wasn’t good, but we decided to give it another chance, and this time it was worse. Don’t waste your money at this place. We ordered coconut shrimp, and besides being overly fried, they had no flavor at all—just tasted like fried batter. When we ordered, the food for the person I was with took 20 minutes to arrive. I finished my food, and theirs still hadn’t arrived. When it finally did, the meat was the size of a finger, and their dish, a Thai basil, had no protein either. There are many better places in Miami to eat Asian and Thai food than this one. Don’t waste your money here. I don’t understand how it could have a Michelin star.
There is ZERO vegan options. Usually Thai places have ton of vegan options, not this one. Michelin star is questionable.
Food is amazing, i went with 2 friends and we order a couple of dishes, Khao Soi was the best dinner i had in times… the place is quite small, you can order one time only. The service is good but don’t expect a lot of attention since they’re full all time. I’ll go again when i come back to Miami
You will constantly be pressured and asked by different waiters if you are done with your food. Spend your money on a place where you can actually relax and enjoy your food.
Also make watch out for their tipping scam when you pay the bill.
Bill was nearly $100, all to have a few tapas of decent Thai food and be rushed out of the place. Never again, will stick to Panya Thai!
Horrible customer service, we ordered shrimp dumpling and it ended up being shrimp shumai, we took a bite and tasted zero shrimp. It was a sponge like center with zero flavor. We proceeded to tell our server and he argued with us and didn't want to take it back because we had tasted it! We asked to switch it for pork dumpling and told us no, that it was going to be the same which makes zero sense. Since that incident he ignored us and treated us badly for the rest of the meal. The pork fried rice was tasteless and pad Thai was ok. We asked for soy sauce or any sauce to flavor the rice, he said he had no sauce. We asked him for the dumpling sauce and got charged for it. Definitely not going back or recommending it to anyone. Food is tasteless and service is even worst. Don't waste your money or time going here!
Very bad food and very long for a this portion !
Best Thai food in Miami. Easier to order delivery, there’s usually a long wait if you go in person.
Disappointed! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now cause I like their food. Last night I had a horrible experience. I know how the restaurant works, order one time and that’s it, although they say I could still order another beer. LIES. Halfway through our first drink we were rushed by three servers, RUDE servers, who turned their back to our complaint, who actually told us to get our drinks in plastic cups so they could use the tables, drink alcohol in the streets of MIAMI, something ILLEGAL.
DISGUSTING. Just to put a cherry on top, a CUCARACHA walking on top of the table, almost getting home with us, cause it decided to crawl into my girlfriend purse.
PRICES AND TIP, if you still decide to come here, if you still like to be rushed, get chocked with food, cause you have run to eat (as Miami and life is not crazy fast enough) be AWARE of gratuity and tip calculation, all wrong, confusing and not accurate, they add another tip on top the 18% gratuity included, basically double tipping. Thank you
Adds automatic tip but includes a blank tip line in the receipt, hoping that their customers won't notice and double tip. Stop trying to cheat your guests.
Very good food. Delicious papaya salad. Restaurant was half empty on a Friday night, would expect the place to be completely full. I guess they think service doesnt matter, unfortunately is does. One of the most arrogant and crappy service I have had in a restaurant. Shame because the food is good. Wont be surprised if its closed in a couple of months or years.
If you're looking for worse service than a fast food or food truck, go to this restaurant.
They will treat you badly from the moment you wait for your table until you ask for the bill.
Hygiene is not their strong point.
I've lived in Miami for 12 years. I've eaten in restaurants of all types and categories, this one is beyond comparison. If you like paying to be mistreated, this is your place. My friends and I will never return
The food is good but is a pity that the staff is so rude and unfriendly . You don’t receive any welcoming smile or anything . One time order only so choose well otherwise you won’t be able to order more . As soon as your plates are on the table you will feel staff looking forward to seeing you finish it and willing to push you out as soon as possible . Never had an experience like that with service ! It is a shame although the food is very good and the atmosphere so typical . Note that portion are very small and you’re not aware of this before ordering of course . Too pricey for what it is too , and a Michelin star is definitely not attribute only for food but for service too so I’m not sure this place still deserves it
My girlfriend had the Kow soy (definitely spelled it wrong) and she hasn’t stopped talking about it for a week. Highly recommend.
Mediocre Pad Thai. Tom yum is not just lemon grass and water! Michelin staff who mentioned it must have suspect taste buds or never been to Thailand.
Amazing food. Music is way too loud.
The most yummy place in calle 8
The best Thai food in Miami! Dining here is laid back and fun atmosphere. Staff is always so kind & helpful with picking up to-go food, or getting a table as fast as possible!
Favorites so far have been the spring rolls, pad thai, and the duck basil dish!
Excited to come back soon and try all the curry options. Thank you for all the yummy food!
I came to this place with a friend, I really enjoyed all the food that was ordered, the spare ribs and fried rice (crab) were my favorite. I really enjoyed the staff here, they made me feel like family.
Good service and food. Come in less busy hours so you don’t have to wait
Always a good option. You can only order once.
I've been coming here for years and I'm local to Miami. I know better than to go anywhere in this city expecting exceptional service and I know the "rules" at Lung Yai. Despite the fact that Im the slowest eater on the planet, I don't even mind being rushed, because I typically love the food here. However, this time was different. Thai food is one of my favs because of the level of spice they offer while still remaining extremely flavorful. I ordered the "spicy" level on both items and neither really met that standard. The panang curry was still good but not as good as I remembered. My first Pad Thai came out tasting burnt and very dark. I actually sent it back, which I rarely do. Again though, no heat to it. I usually leave flushed and my nose running. My friend's dishes were below par as well, lacking flavor and consistency in preparation. We got there as soon as they opened too so no wait and not busy. I hope this was just an off night for them.
Been here multiple times and service has always been below average. This last time they made us wait for noodles for over 30 minutes. I am glad I found a better Thai place in north Miami. You won’t be missing much by skipping this place.
While the food is good, it’s definitely not good enough to justify the terrible atmosphere, absurdly loud music and extremely rude owner / manager. You will be rushed, you will only have the one chance to order your food and nobody will be grateful for your patronage.
food was delicious as usual and prices are fair. however, we were basically kicked out. our server rushed us, they cleared our plates before our party was even done eating, pushed up to pay and then proceeded to harass us while we finished our drinks to leave because they needed the table. we love this place but the server and owner rushing us and telling us to go made the experience unpleasant. we waited 30 minutes for a table and spent not even 1 hour eating.
Food was very good, however, this is not the place to linger. Strict order once policy. Food comes very quickly and once you finish your food, they want you out!
Protein portions (chicken, pork, etc) on curry dishes are too small. Ordered a Red Curry and just got a couple of small pieces of chicken. Not the first time this has happened.
Amazing food really the chairs not so much hahah but overall is fantastic
Disappointed for Michelin Star… don’t waste your time, better places in Miami.
Ordered takeout - portion sizes are rather small for the prices and food quality was mediocre. Pad see ew was very bland - should be sweet and salty - no real trace of either. Asked to prepare it spicy and there were a couple dollops of hot chile paste in the bottom of the container not even mixed into the dish. Ribs also bland - plain deep fried and dry. Dumplings were not bad. Also asked for a side of fish sauce and that was ignored. In a city with good Thai food, not sure this would survive.
We arrived at Lung Yai with high expectations, we quickly realized there is almost no parking at all, so be prepared for that. One member of our party dropped us off, we went in sat down and ordered our drinks. When the server found out one member wasn’t there yet, he told us we had to get up and wait in the lobby, we assured him he was close. He made us get up and wait then sat us right back down at the same table. Then, when the member of our party tried to order a drink he was told he missed his opportunity to order a drink and wasn’t allowed to prefer one. We laughed, but then realized he wasn’t joking. We all ordered our food when it came the portions were much smaller than we anticipated so we asked to order something else, the person helping us said he was the owner and we weren’t allowed to order anything else, then he said since your finished eating (we weren’t) it was time for us to leave. I was a little shocked, I asked if I had done something wrong and why he was so angry and upset, he said we didnt understand his rules which is rude and we had to leave. I wish I would have looked at all the 1 star reviews, which there are many, which are almost all for horrible service.
Can’t be beat. Phenomenal flavor and consistency. Authentic and awesome.
I give this place a 3/5⭐️ The guy who attended our table was really nice and honest, I just don’t like they take the food when you are still trying to finish it. The food tasted great, but small portions and toooo salty! There were flies all over which I think of the amount of people that consume here they could invest into a net and maybe enclose the space to have AC or more fans as in miami is always hot
Best curry in town. One time order!
Bass was incredibly rude; brought the bill mid-meal, grabbed drinks off the table that weren’t finished and kept telling us to eat/finish faster. Unprofessional and unpleasant.
Manage your expectations coming to this restaurant. If you’re coming for delicious food in a humble, understated setting, you’ve come to the right place. This is an order once type concept, be decisive about what you want, enjoy your food, and move on. Not because you’re being rushed out, but because you’re sitting in one of the 8 tables available. Yung Lai gives the confidence of a restaurant that has been here for 9 years and recognized on the Michelin guide (a foodie’s reference book).
I tried the fried oyster mushrooms (recommended over the wings for a less heavy option)
Tom Kha soup with chicken
Crab fried rice
All washed down with the only beer option, Singha
Everything was delicious. Dare I say some of the most tasty Thai food I’ve ever had.
What I can appreciate most about this place being new to Miami is the simple “come as you are” atmosphere. If you simply want to go out and have a delicious meal without the need to dress up and put on a show, Lung Yai is it.
The music is a little loud, so probably not ideal for a first date you’re trying to impress. Or maybe the absolute best place to take a first date you’re trying to see the real side of. 😏
$48 later, I’m full and happy. 10/10 recommend.
PS: if you want to avoid a wait, I’d recommend getting there early ish. Thankfully I got in right as they opened at 5PM. I walked out at 6 to find a line outside.
Rude service, very fast (the second they took out meal that we were done w eating they laid down the check with the other hands), medocre food, price was more than expected
Probably one of the worst customer service. The one time order policy sucks, they don’t give you the exact idea of portion size and the servers are in constant rush to get you out so they can accommodate other customers. Food is okay
Excelente
The a ser was NO.
A very unpleasant experience.
The restaurant is located in a very centric and touristy area of Little Havana, I think that’s the reason why they take the liberty to be so strict and provide with such an awful costumer service, also because I can deny that the food is really delicious but through the years they are cutting more and more on the portions.
The reason that I won’t return is that I felt, I was on a totalitarian regime where you can not ask for anything because the answer is always NO. I couldn’t choose the table because they dictate where you can seat, make sure you order everything you want to eat in one shot because if feel like adding something, it is not allow, the play a weird music full blast, I very nice asked if they will lower the volume, they said,NO, it felt like torture and when you finish your last piece of food, there is a fast hand that takes your plate and immediately , they bring the check, basically, it feels like they don’t want you there anymore, just “ get out you here”
As I said before, I’m not going to return, today I gave them another chance to see if they improve but the answer is NO.
Hot and humid
Can order only once
Very small and congested seating
Tasty home-cooked feel and kind staff. Be ready to put in an order once and expect a quick departure when done for everyone else clamoring at the door for a spot. So worth it!! You might dirty your shirt it’s so good. 😂
We discovered this gem right at the start of its fame, sometimes standing in hour long lines to get in. Get there early! Order as many dishes as you can because you only get that first chance to order. They will not entertain repeat orders.
Take my word for it, you’ll eat every last delicious crumb and wish you had more.
Food is amazing definitely a hidden gem
Excellent food
Authentic thailand experience! The second we walked up, we immediately felt like we were back in Thailand!! 10/10 everything. We got the fried pork dumplings, beef pad thai, and the beef khao soi. wooooooooow everything was out of this world good. I was craving pad thai and everything exceeded my expectations. This is more of a fast paced environment but who cares when the food is that good, I’ll take it. We also tried the passion fruit sake which was so refreshing!! Basch(sorry if I spelled his name wrong) was so awesome, we talked to him about our visit to Thailand and he gave us cool recommendations for when we decide to visit again. We will definitely be back, it’s too good to stay away!
This place was once hip. Over the years, it has lost its charm. The servers just take orders. That could easily be done with an iPad. The tables are “cleaned” with FILTHY old rags that smell! Music way too loud to converse. The food is good.
Before writing I been in this place 3 times so , First time 1 am in the morning not too bad food was good second time we went to lung yai last week food was good the padthay so good the duckling amazing but only 1 time order so we left the place with the idea to come back and order the right amount of food
Sp tonight we come back and food was great we order too much so we have the same feeling if I have to leave 18% tips I want service so this place has great food but not service at all be honest we spend 200 doll to much for no service at all
Better pick up or delivery
This place is above and beyond
It's unfortunate this restaurant made it to the Michelin Guide, because it's a poor representation of Thai cuisine. I was very excited to try this place and left completely disappointed.
It's expensive, tiny portions, poor quality, and the food is barely authentic. The laab moo, tom yum, and khao soi were all not good, their flavors were not even comparable to what you would get in Thailand.
You're not allowed to order more than once which is unbelievable for a Thai restaurant and driven by greed. If you look at your phone they try to start cleaning up your table - even if you haven't finished your food. They don't want anything other than your money and for you to leave as soon as possible.
If you've ever had real Thai food, you will be disappointed. I would not recommend.
Food and service was great. You just can order once! So be sure to order enough food for all. Size normal… not huge plates.
The music was excessively loud and unpleasant, causing discomfort. They clear the table before you finish. Stressful.
I’ve been to Thailand many times, so I know what authentic really is, and this place is not authentic whatsoever.
We ordered multiple dishes, and each dish had some sort of shortcut taken in order to make it lower quality. The tom yum soup did not even have a tomato, nor was it red. The noodle dishes we got were missing key ingredients as well.
On top of that, they have this odd “one time order policy” and they clear your plates as quickly as possible in order to get you out as quick as possible. Extremely disappointing experience, will not return. I would recommend Kitsune House in downtown Miami instead.
The food is great but low in protein.
Side street and little space get ready to enjoy thai street food.
It's excellent food service needs polishing.
U have to order 1 time only
Best Thai in Miami hands down
I hate to write bad reviews and I rarely do. But as someone who often read reviews myself, I’d appreciate an honest review like this. It could have saved us this visit. My husband and I came here after I saw a video on Instagram and realized it was very close to us and we love Thai food. So naturally we were excited to check it out. Arriving to the restaurant it’s a very bare-bones kind of place, which is fine - probably a hidden gem I’m thinking. The food must be great. Unfortunately that was not the case. First, you are only allowed to order once which is a bit hard since we had no idea what to except as far as portion sizes (the portions were small). We asked our sever for their recommendations and ordered a few things that was mentioned as popular. We got shrimp dumplings - they were bland, with a mush inside, like you would expect at a low quality buffet. The “duck salad”(Yum Ped) is really not a salad. It’s just a small plate with small pieces of deep fried chewy duck pieces and like four chunks of raw cabbage. Odd. Then I got my favorite coconut soup Tom Kha and the soup was so fatty I felt nauseous. Lastly we had the Kaho Soi Nuar which was the only thing we kind of liked. It was also very fatty and we couldn’t finish it for that reason. 18% tip is already included and the suggested additional tip of 15% - 30% is based on the full amount after tax and the already paid tip which I think is dishonest. To top it off they blast karaoke style music and it’s so loud you can barely hear each other. It was a very disappointing experience from the atmosphere, interior, cleanliness and food. This is not the place if you want to enjoy good Thai food. I can’t believe it’s mentioned in the Michelin Guide, it makes me question everything. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.
Great food!
Exótico. A comida é boa.
Dumpling de porco cozido... adorei.
Food is delicious. Servers are a bit aggressive to get you in and out. Hold on to your plates !!!
Authentic Thai food. I have been dining multiple times. But lately Thai music has been blasting loudly to the point that it is impossible to hold a conversation. Will I be back? prob not.
Chill back place with awesome authentic Thai food. Prepare to wait at least 30 minutes for seating. We'll worth it tho. Michelin 2023 recognition.
Not impressed, So what you are a Michelin star restaurant Don’t believes the hype.
I want to be completely honest and transparent. I'm a world traveler who has visited over 100 countries and eaten at millions of restaurants all around the world. At 60 years old, I've been to Thailand five times and even speak a little Thai a took thai cooking lessons while in Bangkok. Love Thai people and culture but these folk the staff here were not nice. Each customer is paying $100 -$200 for a meal.
We visited a restaurant without knowing it was Michelin-starred until we saw the review in the window. It looks like a real Thai street restaurant which you can eat at in Thailand for $6 get a whole meal so when I saw are bill was $50 and we were still Hungry
That didn’t sit well with me.
From the moment our waitress approached our table, she had an attitude. She informed us that we could only order once, so we needed to choose carefully. However, she failed to mention that the portions were very small, like cereal-sized bowls. We also didn't scan the barcode menu, assuming that, like most Thai restaurants I've been to worldwide, dishes would cost around $13-$16 for a large plate of food.
I didn't check the menu and ordered my usual: padi thai noodles, not too spicy, with no bean sprouts, nuts on the side, and two limes. I also ordered a Thai iced tea with no ice, explaining that since the tea is cold due to the cream, it doesn't need ice. She argued with me about the ice until I reluctantly agreed to a little. However, they filled the glass with ice, a tactic to make you order more of this delicious tea at $5 per glass.
Full of ice and very little 🧋 tea. Learned this trick in Thailand.
When the food arrived, I was shot and surprised with disappointment it was just two small cereal-sized bowls for $50. We left hungry and walked up the street to order Cuban food. We left hungry because I didn't realize the portions were so small. The waitress didn't inform us, and since it was my first time there, I didn't read the menu thoroughly. When I asked for an extra bowl to share with my date, she said no. Extra napkins? Also no. They did bring more water, but it was tap water, which I don't drink tap water.
The food was delicious, but the waitress's attitude was terrible. I made sure to note this on the receipt, advising her No tip she wax rude play silly games Nita get silly prizes
Will never return and I would not recommend it for $50 there are much better places in town to leave full.
It’s a swipe left NO for me.
Nita and the staff need to be nicer we pay their salaries!
Very good food but really didn't like the hidden 'service charge'. It's not Miami Beach. You guy's don't need to do that tacky stuff. The staff was decent. Really hot inside. Overall, it's a great place but be prepared to wait a little if you go during a busy time. Thai Tea very good!
Best restaurant in Miami. No debate
Being Asian and having lived most of my life out in Asia, I love Thai food. Lung Yai is run by Thai people both in the kitchen and the dining areas, so you’re getting authentic Thai food. But whether or not it deserves the Michelin 2023 recognition it was awarded is something I’m not particularly sure of. I ordered the Khai Sow as well as the clear Tom Yum with shrimp. I was rather taken aback that the Tom Yum was ANYTHING BUT Tom Yum. Tom Yum is spicy and sour, slightly oily and with distinct flavours of galangal and lemongrass. What was served lack flavour and tasted like ordinary Asian soup. The Khai Sow was alright, nothing spectacular, just passable; I’ve had better in Boston. The pork in the Khai Sow was also bland and overcooked, giving it a tough texture. The dining area is set up so it emulates street dining in Thailand so it’s non air-conditioned; I presume it could get pretty hot during the day. It is basically a side alley covered up by fabric awning and a side fence made out of tin. Thai music was also blasting loudly to the point it is hard to hold a conversation. Will I be back? prob not - but as far as Thai food goes in Miami, this is prob as real as you can get it. Also, for a modern-day eatery that doesn’t have physical menu, the lack of Apple Pay/contactless payment is a turn off. It is indicated in the menu that an 18% gratuity charge is applied to the bill, but this wasn’t enforced when I made payment.
It sucks because the food is really good here, but the customer service is terrible. Especially whoever they have at the door most times.. he needs to work on his attitude..
Quickest, most tasty Thai food I’ve ever eaten ;)
This place is definitely overrated, READ before deciding on going.
I wanted to treat myself with Thai food and decided to go once more knowing that at this place you are NEVER treated politely by the owner, tables and chairs are uncomfortable, place is not really clean and you only get to place an order once. BUT yesterday was too much and I just have to write a review of this place, something that I usually do not do.
Yesterday I just could not handle the owners rudeness when we arrived, but we stayed, ordered and sat down. The place was packed and the music was extremely loud plus lights turning around over you. It was just a lot! That is not what a dining experience should be unless you want to be treated bad, eat OK food and leave with a headache.
I decided to cancel my order and left. I did not end eating Thai food but I did eat a better meal at a new place in town that I highly recommend and will probably write a review about.
The owner has a very harsh rule, he only accepts 1 order, if you want something else after your waiter passes your order to the kitchen that’s it, you can’t ask for something else after ordered.
At dinner they have very loud music, not appropriate for you to enjoy your dinner.
The food is actually good, the waiters are nice and professional, but the owner with his rules and the supper loud music are a NO GO.
What a disappointing place. The food is sweet and not really authentic Thai. But the worst is the service.
The food is very good. But the service is poor. They push you out so you can vacate the table ..its take out or delivery for sure not Dine in.
Best Thai food I’ve had in Miami! This my go to spot for late lunch or dinner. When it’s Monday and I realized they’re closed, I get bummed lol. The service is fast and the food is delicious. I like everything on the menu! Pro tip: You can only place an order for food once, so tell your server everything you want the first time.
Lugar muy auténtico con comida increible
The best food in Calle 8 is not Cuban 🇨🇺, it is Thai 🇹🇭!
Yes believe it or not this modest street food Thai spot has everyone crazy about it 😵💫.
They are a little bit pretentious in terms of booking ahead (so they don’t take any reservations), and they also are very strict in terms of ordering one time only 🫡, but it is designed that way so they can serve the most amount of people in the limited space of the area. So yes, you need to put up with the rules if you would like to enjoy their unique flavoring.
We immediately went with the Roasted Baby Back Ribs 🍖, they were crispy and the sauce spiced up the flavoring, but it didn’t have that much meat in it, so disappointing.
The crispy fried oyster 🦪mushroom 🍄sauce appetizer took over the ribs as a winner appetizer. The dipping sauce was on point and fried to the point to hear it crack 💥with every bite.
The best dish was waiting for us, the khao soi—a bowl of egg 🍳noodles in a golden curry that tastes the way a hot shower feels. Get it with braised beef 🥩! The crispy noodles 🍜are the cherry 🍒on the top! Delicious in every sense.
Their classic pad Thai is also very legit 🥡🥢. Fresh in flavor and combines all the right condiments. To wrap up the main entrances, we included a crab 🦀fried 🍚. Well balanced but missing a lot of crab meat in it.
Be prepare to pay the old school way, they don’t accept 🍏💰apple pay!
Overall an unexpected experience in Little Havana 🏝️. It reminded me of the Seinfield episode of the soup 🥫nazi because of their strict ordering system, service, and their quick-paced ambiance.
So so
Probably one of the better Thai food place I've ever had in Miami. The portions are pretty small so you have to order a few dishes. I love this concept because I can eat several dishes and not feel too full. Did you have a policy that you can only order one time. Please order wisely. Seating's pretty limited. I would recommend going at off peak times.
This place is very crowded and the service is poor. The usher was mean and didn't pay attention to our request. For some reason they were not even flexible when members of my group wanted to place an order for additional item apparently because they were too busy. Guests are required to place their order only once.
Although the food was good, the portions were too small. Prices are reasonable
The most amazing Thai food in Miami. Yes, it is small. Yes, they want to flip tables. But nowhere u can get food like they offer will recommend to anyone.
Very cheap disgusting place. U have to wait to be seated like 30 min or so. They don’t let you sit a lot eat your food and leave and they charge your for this attitude 15% service . The food is not ok I have problems with my stomach after. Zero stars.
Service is fast-paced as many other reviewers mentioned, but we love it—it’s a welcome change and fitting for a super busy place. Plus, the servers were kind and always kept our water refilled.
But the service is sooo not my worry when eating at a restaurant—it’s the food!
And the food…my god. DELICIOUS. FRESH. Soooo good!!!!! We tried some classics recommended—the fried pork dumplings (crispy!), tom kha (creamyy), pad see ewe with tofu (best I’ve had), and the chicken fried rice (classic). So yummy.
I guess I do have one complaint—I wish we could order not just once in the beginning! The portions are generous, it’s just the food is so good that we wish we could order it twice :-)
Tiny restaurant that packs a BIG punch 🤜 of FLAVOR!! Make sure you come early before the rush hours happen, you’ll be standing and waiting to be seated BUT it’s so WORTH it! I had one of the best services in this restaurant I will definitely be back to try everything on the menu my words can’t describe how amazing this food is ! It’s just worth the leap of faith to take eating here!
Below average food, in an extremely loud music setting. Definitely a not go. Green curry, soup, papaya salad, everything was below average. Curry was coconut milk and sugar with no other taste. Not a place to go if u want authentic Thai food.
I LOVE the food here but wow the service is AWFUL. I was having dinner with a friend and the guy seating people was extremely rude asking us to leave. Makes me never want to go back or recommend it to others.
Surprisingly GOOD Thai food, good service, but not many wine selections. We will definitely return .
The adage of "Hole in the Wall" can be applied to this restaurant. It is not air conditioned and the floors are broken concrete slab. The tables are small and very small for 2 people. One reader posted place for food not dining - so true.
I might as well direct deposit my paycheck to this place. Best Thai around
