Vegetarian-friendly spot serving ample portions of Thai staples like pad Thai & drunken noodles.
Tree Top is a go to for college students and working professionals in the area. It’s reasonably priced and the portion sizes are big. It’s not the best pad Thai or drunken noodles I’ve ever had, but it gets the job done. My only critique would be to add more protein to dishes. My pad Thai in particular barely had any shrimp and was 95% noodles.
Other than that, a great spot for takeout!
Not only is this the best Thai food in the area but the staff here are exceptional. They deliver food extremely quickly and it's always piping hot. They go the extra mile by doing things like poking holes in the top of the container that contains fried food so it doesn't get soggy. And beautifully writing my name on the bag. They really are a treasure!
Literally always good. Love this place. Great food, great flavors. I usually only go for the curries (they're just my favorite) but their other menu options are great, too. I've had great fried rice, pad thai, scallop and eggplant, and hot beef.
I always have a good experience when I come here. I love their papaya salad and this past time they drew a cute little picture of Moo-Deng on my bag. Made my night!
I had the green curry, fried rice, and summer rolls. The summer rolls were meh, but the rest of the food was delicious! Ready super fast, staff was very polite, portions were generous.
Place is basically a museum. The owner is a gifted artist and over the years I have loved going to this place. I can’t recommend it enough.
Good and delecious Thai food. Small cozy place to hopin for your lunch and dinner with homely environment. If you are hungry and foodie person and expect to get more quantity of food just like other Asian restaurant, you could endup being disappointed. So i would say ask for extra rice or extra food.
My wild boar 🐗 item (its-pork) from menu had very less meat, i know its pork not boar and i am okay as Boar 🐗 menu cannot be that price but quantity of meat was comparablly very less than any other Thai food place.

Really good quality food. They clearly aren't cutting corners by pre making stuff and then just mixing it together
their mango sticky rice is deadass salty
Very slow and rude disgusting taste
Small restaurant with Excellent food quality for a good price
Fast and kind service
Food is pretty good, and friendly service. Only takeout I believe.

Food is just ok, mainly due to lack of flavor. Pad Thai barely had anything except plain noodles. Disappointing.

Best Thai food in Waltham, the staffs are also nice!
This place is take out only. Info not on Google
I ordered the pad Thai and they need to add more sauce! Very bland :/ ..hopefully they listen to my advice?
Absolutely nothing good to say about this place. I gave a try but the food was terrible and horrible customer service. The place is old and looks dirty next to a mechanic garage; they lie on the prices, so be careful. But if you wanna save yourself a really bad experience don't come here. Go somewhere else in waltham.
Got takeout. Great Thai place always is good food.
Not easy to park. Good rangoons
Delicious, fresh food, cooked perfectly every time and amazing service. Has been our go-to Thai place since 2009 and never disappoints. They will modify the recipe to make dishes vegan as well, just let them know. Wonderful!
Delicious food with great service. We clarify what foods we want veganized and they are knowledagle about ordering no fish sauce, no egg etc. Our favorite foods are the treetop bags, Tofu triangles, pad Thai and yellow curry.
Went in for lunch, turns out they’re only doing takeout at the moment. Not sure if it’s a weekday thing or not. But our food was ready and piping hot in 10 minutes! Great flavorful pad Thai, good massaman curry, and crispy delicious spring rolls. We’ll definitely be ordering from here again
This restaurant doesn’t know how to make summer rolls. First, the sauce is not accurate. It’s not peanut sauce. They gave me hoisin sauce. Who eat summer rolls with hoisin sauce??? Second, they don’t know how to roll ingredients together. It’s supposed to be tight so the stuff inside the roll doesn’t fall out. But there are holes all over the roll and it’s so annoying because it spills and dropped everywhere!! The rice paper is too wet that’s why. If you like to wet the rice paper that much, you should’ve used 2 layers so it can be secured :(
Don't order from here AT ALL !!
This place is the pits
1st order from Uber Eats - they did not deliver
2nd order from Grub Hub they sent the Appetizer but not the main dish.
Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS !!!!
Food without flavor and lots of sweetness. Not ordering again.
Only ordered delivery and food is consistently very good. Pad kee mao and pad see ew, green curry,
Our go to place for Thai in Waltham. We order here about once every 2 weeks. Staff are friendly, basically know our order when we call in. Their online ordering system is friendly and easy to use (HiPierce, which doesn't take too much money from this family run business)
We honestly like calling in more than ordering online. Relatively easy to park and pick up order. They are also very fast. With a few other thai restaurants closing nearby, would encourage everyone to try Tree Top.
My husband and I ordered pad Thai and crab Rangoon from here. The crab Rangoon was good but the pad Thai was bland, clearly not enough sauce.
lived on this food during college
For close to 10 years we ordered food from Tree Top at least once a month and were always very happy. Today we placed a simple order off their lunch menu. When we picked it up the price was twice as much as we expected. The lady said all prices are from the online menu and that the paper menu is no longer valid. So when we got home we checked online and confirmed we were over charged. When we called the restaurant back and asked to speak to a Manager, he told us prices are subject to change. He then said he doesn't need the business so bring our food back and he will refund our money. Well August 8th is a sad day in Waltham. Too bad Tree Top service has gotten horrible.
Tree Top is a consistent staple for us; the food is always amazing, the folks working there are courteous and quick. We love Tree Top ❤️
No dine in service Take out only. Don't waste your money. Ordeeed "crazy" pad thai. No broccoli, just stalks with onions and leafy basil. Was not spicy. On a scale of 1-5, it was a .5. Shrimp spring rolls have mashed up shrimp/seafood.
Great Thai food.
Love their food. Peanut sauce is the best. I can't recreate it so I just get it here.
Worst experience ever. Order two dinners for over $50 and there was shrimp in both dinners. Shrimp was listed as option alone on website but not listed as a part of the seafood option. Since shrimp is a MAJOR allergen this is a big problem. When I called back to the restaurant the person there was shouting me back and told me that it was my fault and did not replace my dinners. Thats $50 in trash and one restaurant that we never use again
Great food always fresh and hot and delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful.
Been coming here for years. The service is friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and beyond tasty. It’s easily the best Thai food I’ve ever had! STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!!
Delicious food as always. Tree Top really knows how to brighten my day with their personalized takeout bags/containers. I loved my drawing on my Pad Thai container! 🥜
I order crazy noodles with chicken and shrimp and a side of crab Rangoon and it was delicious. Very friendly people took my order and in just a few minutes it was done. Great service thanks!!
Great place to eat. A Waltham landmark.
Probably my favorite Thai place in the Waltham area. I've been coming here for close to two years now and I've even gotten my roommates hooked as well. The staff has always been very friendly, and my food is always ready within minutes of ordering. Prices are the lowest that I've see of any Thai place in the area (and they probably give the most food per meal as well). Would definitely recommend if you're in the mood for Thai food!
My go to for thai food in Waltham. I enjoy the variety of options.
Tree Top is a neighborhood staple. Truly great Thai food, as rated by someone who has spent months in Thailand. Wonderful staff and good service, give this local gem a try.
Best Thai food in the Waltham area 😍
This is a 16 dollar noodle soup.
They said they have been selling this for 20 years and the broth is the right portion.
Answers the phone with mocking manner. Cocky place after covid
If the owner let me show him the photo of what came for tom yum noodle soup, he would have acknowledged their mistake. Wasn’t asking for refund or anything but they would not admit to their mistake. We did have a bite and it tasted like wet noodle with no flavor. Broth doesn’t even come quarter way.
Addicted to their country style Pad Thai
Really good and authentic Thai restaurant! We can especially recommend the summer rolls and the green curry. The staff is very friendly and really goes the extra mile for their guests while operating super quick simultaneously.
My favorite crazy/drunken noodles of anywhere around!
Delicious Thai dishes, and thankful for vegan offerings that are so fresh and tasty too! Very friendly staff and such nice preparation/packaging of takeout orders.
First time we ate there. Got take out in oct '21 fir boyfriend's birthday. Got the familtree top (meh, one of the chicken skewers was elastic squeeky meat, we left it as we thought maybe it was undercooked), lemongrass chicken w crispy basil leaves and jasmine rice (awesome!), steamed vegetables (meh, kindda boring), and fried ice cream (pretty good shell though the inside was disappointing low grade quality ice cream). It's a mixed bag, but we'll try again, since it's a reasonable price.
Amazing food and service. Love the basil rice, pad thai and curry noodles.
Really good Thai. Decent price but only take out right now...I understand...
The staff is nice & everything I've gotten here has been fantastic.
If you're feeling decadent, get the fried banana rolls and peanut sauce.
It's not very often that you find a place where you can pick all three of "good, cheap, quick". This is one of those places.
Great little Thai place. Very authentic.
Good Thai food for good prices
I have ordered delivery from this restaurant many times. Food is consistently great and they follow instructions! Reasonably priced too!
Some of the best Thai in the area. I have been coming here for years and am always happy with the result. During COVID, they have some amazing calligraphy when they write your name on the takeout bag. This seems like such a small thing, but it really makes Tree Top someplace special.
Tree top Thai is so good! Everything I've had there is delicious well prepared, perfectly cooked with fresh vegetables and meat!
Another thing I really like about them is they're consistency. The meals have the same great flavors every time and the quality is always very high. The staff is very polite and friendly and will custom make dishes for you if you desire. They also substitute different vegetables in a very flexible and accommodating.
It's not in the greatest location and the dining area is not the best but the food always is! I live about 30 minutes away now but still make it a point to go to treetop Thai whenever I can because it's my favorite Thai place in the Boston area.
One of my favorite spots to get Thai! they are very nice and they don't mind my annoying needs/adjustments so I appreciate it and always have to tip well for my annoying adjustments and good food
Excellent food
Delicious veg options!
Delicious food (some of the best massaman curry I've had in the Boston area) and careful staff observing all guidelines.
The drunken noodles were bland and didn’t have any vegetables. Disappointing Thai food
We are vegetarians and love the options at this place.
Ordered take out from here and didn’t realize pad Thai doesn’t come with any sauce. You have to pay $1 extra for sauce. Also I ordered shrimp pad Thai and it came with four little shrimp, with the tails still on. There’s pretty much no other ingredients besides the rice noodles and like one onion thing and four little shrimp. Don’t waste your money, there’s way better restaurant options in waltham.
Fresh ingredients and delicate flavors.
The mango sticky rice and pad Thai are my favorites but I’ve loved everything I’ve had from here. Also kudos to whoever writes so beautifully!
I love Tree Top! I live close by and it's my typical go-to, usually for the crispy chicken pad thai (their crispy chicken is delish!!). The staff is great, and my to go bag is always fancy-ed up with a drawing or some beautiful handwriting. Definitely recommend!
My fav Thai restaurant. Love their pad kee mao!
This place is the worst I've ever been to. I just moved to the area and was looking for a good take out place to have some noodles and veggies.
Boy was I disappointed. When my food came out it was nothing near what I imagined or requested. I requested to change my dish. I even offerred to pay for the dish!!!
The manager or owner of this place , then started yelling at me and verbally attacking me. The customer service was ridiculous.
I left without any food at all.
Never, ever will I return to this place. Stay as far away from here as u can!
Have had this a few times, never have been disappointed. Favorite Thai place!
Was best 1 yr ago but today we had veg fried rice and Crazy noodles with just 2pc chicken slice and 2 pc shrimp also very less amt of veggies in both.didnt expect that and not going to order it now again.
This is the first I tried this restaurant. Ordered it online, and picked it in person. Really good portion, fair price, food tastes delicious. Highly recommended !!!!!!!
I ordered two special noodle dishes that came with shrimp. Since I'm allergic to shrimp I asked to sub for tofu and learned I was charged an additional $3 each. How is tofu ever more expensive than shrimp? This makes me wonder if they precook their dishes and charge me extra if they have to recook. Anyway, I would pay any amount, I just wish they had told me beforehand and not after I paid, it seems kind of scammy. What really influenced me to give them a lower rating was the wait time. I ordered in person to go and had to wait for over 45 minutes. A couple who dined in AFTER I ordered finished their meals and left the restaurant before I got my food. The food is great though, definitely better than most Thai places I've been to. But after this experience I doubt I'll come back.
Great food. Small portions.
Ordered take out and we loved every bit of the food!!
Food was late and cold. Second delivery in a row that was late and cold and no utensils
Always on point. We travel from Somerville when we want Thai food and believe me there are plenty of Thai restaurant in my area
Good and delecious Thai food. Small cozy place to hopin for your lunch and dinner with homely environment. My family and I we love these place
Best authentic Thai food in Greater Boston area.
Best Thai food in town
Great food and ambiance
Unpretentious surroundings serving authentic, superbly-executed and presented Thai food.
Absolutely delicious Thai food. The owner is such an amazing artist and a very humble man. The restaurant has art work done by the owner on its walls. The best Thai food place I've ever visited!
Tough parking but worth it.
Fantastic little place. Great food and cozy.
Best Thai food on the east coast!!!
Thai food can be hit or miss. This was a hit. Sure, I'm rounding up to 5*, but the food was not only tasty (and authentic), but the service was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive, and, a big plus for Thai food to me, they asked if we wanted chopsticks instead of just giving them (since that is a Chinese, not Thai, tradition).
Cons: streey parking is strange in this neighborhood, and there was no lot. Could seat maybe 50 people? It was not rush time when we went, but I wonder if it gets hard to find a table when it gets busy.
I suppose the biggest recommendation I can give for a restaurant is, yes, I would and will gladly eat here again.
I enjoyed a nice Pad Thai dinner here with friends. The food was delicious and tasted as expected. The Thai Tea is excellently tasty, but be warned that it is quite sweet. The drawings on the walls are very neat and add a nice touch to the decor. The staff is friendly and attentive. Overall this is a nice stop for your typical Thai fix.
Ok food. Decent price. The interior could use some work. But i imagine it would work well for takeout.
Very good restaurant! Great ambience and food.
Nice place.
Got soup with semi empty bowl, only noodles, why call it soup then?
Lovely staff, beautiful little hideaway setting, and stellar food!
I went to Carl's next door which has excellent steak and cheese subs.
Good food
May be my expectations were too high. Well, the entree combo was good
Excellent service. I just had the tree top potato curry appetizer. It was interesting. Very nice people.
Served undercooked sliced pork in the curry.
Food is good but when we get catering they always slack on customer service and delay getting information to us.
The best Thai food around! No matter what you order every dish is so good! Always great service! I have been going to this restaurant since they opened and have yet to find anywhere else comparable.
Favorite little Thai place for lunch. Not 5 stars because have had an experience with not quite cooked chicken and their spicy isn't as spicy as I'd like but I still go back regularly. Quick, friendly service and reasonable prices
Best Indonesia fried rice in Greater Boston
Tree Top-notch Thai cuisine with friendly service in a comfortable neighborhood restaurant.
Good food!
Delicious food and friendly service. Cozy atmosphere with beautiful sketches everywhere.
Tree Top is such a pleasure to go to. The food is really quite good and the staff are so friendly and welcoming - always with big smiles. The walls are painted scenes done by one of the staff members. They're really lovely. I almost invariably get the fresh summer rolls to start. They are the best I think I've ever had. And I get the Lemongrass Chicken. My husband gets either Pad Thai or Crazy Noodles (similar to Pad Thai, but spicier. They do not have a liquor license. The prices are totally reasonable (entrees are around $15.95 for the most part.).
