A mix of traditional & modern Thai offerings plus sushi in elegant, high-ceilinged surroundings.
I was in the area for a convention, and was looking for a decent dinner at a reasonable price, and *not* the "pub grub" offered up and down the street here. When I saw Thai Pavilion, I went right on in.
I ordered duck rolls and the Thai Pavilion Steak. I liked them both, but the duck rolls were phenomenal. The steak dish was tasty but otherwise unremarkable.
Friendly and efficient service too. No complaints there.
If I come back to National Harbor, I would definitely eat here again.
This place had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very nice and helpful. I am always looking for Vegan restaurants. I asked the server if he had Vegan options and he immediately turn the menu to the options he could make vegan on the vegetarian menu. He also showed me other items and detailed explained the substitutions he could make. Usually when you ask people to substitute for vegan the taste is altered as well, but not here. The food was Amazing. I am not from the area but I will return before I leave. Definitely a must try! Also this Giner punch is soooo good!
Absolutely amazing food! Beware, it is hotter than we were used to at least. I ordered a one pepper dish expecting a little spicy, and my husband got a 3 pepper dish wanting spicy. They were both at the threshold of our spicy tolerances, but it was just too good to stop eating!
I ordered spring rolls, Pad See Ew with Chicken and a house red. (Which was all they had besides plum wine) The spring rolls were good and my entree was good also. I had asked for 2 out of 3 on the spicy scale and I think they forgot because there was zero spiciness to it. The wine was just ok but overall I enjoyed dinner and would come again.
This place is GREAT!!! This was the first time I had Thai food, and it was amazing. Nearly all of the dishes are customizable, so if you want one chicken instead of pork, then you can get that with ease. If you want some spicy food, they have that; you can order food from no spiciness to where it's hard to taste the flavor because it's so hot. I'm cutting out meat, and most of their dishes include meat, but you can order a vegetarian version of everything. The server I had was also very polite and knew the menu extremely well because there were people eating with me who had high standards for the quality of the food and what went in it, and he was able to answer all of their questions. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely going here.
This is my fourth time going there. All the other times I had top notch food and service. I had to give it one star because yesterday 12/17/2021 the website said they were open. I ordered food online and a charge of $83.74 is pending on my account of which it has not been returned.
IF YOU ARE CLOSED, THEN YOUR ONLINE ORDER MENU FOR FOOD SHOULD BE OFF-LIMITS. I CALLED AND THE PHONE NUMBER IS DISCONNECTED AND TODAY THEY ARE CLOSED.
The food was ok. It was disappointing for the price. Not sure why they are charging $18+ for a basic Pad Thai.
Do not order from them! They accepted my order at 7:15pm it’s now 8:49pm and they refuse to give my order to the delivery guy! They will not answer the phone. Completely unprofessional. I will never order from here again. They lost a repeat customer.
If I can put no stars, I would do it. We had a reservation at 7:30 and we arrived minutes before and they couldn’t accommodate us. Worst costumer service ever. The hostess left as soon as there’s more people come in because she doesn’t know what to do. If I were you don’t ever come to this restaurant.
The best drunken noodles ever.
I dined there with a friend on 11/13/2021 at 5:33 PM to celebrate her birthday. We chose to go to sit at the bar because there was no one there and the dining room wait was 30-45 minutes. We were escorted by the hostess who placed menus on the bar for us. When we sat down, the male server (Bar_007) simply asked our drink of choice. There was no greeting. When we requested hot water with lemon, he sucked his teeth, said something in his native tongue to another server, and continued making a cocktail. Mind you, he did not serve us the standard glass of cold water. Five minutes later, two others joined us at the bar. The server greeted them, placed red napkins and straws in front of them, and automatically served them cold water with smiling eyes. Neither water, smiling eyes, red napkins, nor straws were offered to me and my friend. My friend and I decided to place our order. Ten minutes passed and I asked about the hot water. He told me it takes time to boil. In the meantime, still no cold water was placed in front of us. Fifteen minutes later the hot water arrived. We waited and additional 15 minutes before the food arrived. No problem. The problem arose when my friend asked for cold water. The server didn’t acknowledge her request. Instead, he continued to make two drinks for another party. The server automatically catered to the other guests; he only catered to us upon request. I’m not going to play any cards, but we were his only Black customers at the time. I clearly observed the difference in service and blatant disrespects. I’ll never go back there again. I’d fly to Thailand first.
Customer service is very sub par... Any time some one tries to enter or order food around 9pm, they give poor excuses as to why you cant dine, I've heard different closing time or that the kitchen is closed when the website says they close at 10:30pm. #overit
I don't mind paying more for food as long as either the service or taste matches (if both, then bonus)... this was not the case... I really wanted to like the food and support any of the marriott affiliate restaurants and was expecting a decent service considering they set the tips and raised the price. The prices are higher than the cost in London or Milan for Thai food... food was underwhelming and so was the service...
Website said they close at 10:30p. Walked in at 9:10p and the host just said you can take it to go but the kitchen is closing when they had dinners seated. Couldn't tell if it was just us.
I paid $32 for my meal. I ordered salmon with a cup of rice and just had service water. Next time, I have to make sure I ask the price so as not to get the shock of my life.
One of the best Thai restaurants I have ever tasted in my life. The spices they use, DELICIOUS. I am from out of town and I come here every time I come back to MD. Once of my favorite spots on the Harbor!!
We (2 guests) Ordered crab with fried rice… no crab… $30… no crab… told an occasional tiny cube was the crab… not. For this price, the dish should have plentiful, distinguishable, real crabmeat… not. When this was brought to our server, she suddenly didn’t understand English and did nothing… Very disgusted.
Delicious food. The space is small, they ended up splitting our group [2 tables]. Staff was friendly. The decor is authentic and interesting.
Grabbed some Shrimp Basil Fried Rice during my stay at AC Hotel next door. It did not disappoint!!!'The to go container was packed beyond the brim and it was full of large shrimp. I asked for spicy, I don't taste much of a spice, but it was still very good. It's pricy $27, but enough for 2. They have outdoor seating, and service was good. The lady taking the order was friendly, just as the lady who cashed me out.
SN: I originally wanted crab meat fried rice but after speaking with the host, she admitted there's not much crab in the dish. It's too expensive for a small amt of crab meat so I opted for shrimp, which were large and had about 8 or 10. I appreciated her honesty.
Thai iced tea and Vegetarian green curry were delish!
Ordered Thai Fried Rice and got bland fried rice in return. There was absolutely no flavor in the rice as if they forgot to add Oyster/Fish Sauce to it.
Food was not the best, have had better in other Thai restaurants. Waiter not properly trained. Made a mistake with out receipt. Will not be returning.
Surprisingly good Thai restaurant in a tourist centric area. Very decent portion and selections; my two kids both have their thumb up for their dishes as you know they are the biggest critics when come to authentic foods. The price is a bit higher than my expectations but it’s post pandemic period as we all understand.
First experience at a Thai restaurant, tried the Duck Rolls as appetizers and I was not disappointed. Enough moisture in the duck meat and the sauce that comes with is just ties every single bite. For entree, I had the Crabmeat Fried Rice…crabmeat had a clean and flavorful. Their specialty drinks are a must specially the one that has mango , it taste like real mango juice. Customer service was the Greatest !
Food not that great..bit expensive
I never knew about this place but the food is delicious and our bartender Raphael is on point drinks are LIT! He is here Ladies and Gentlemen from Friday to Sunday
Service was slow took 15 minutes to get a server after i got up to request one...besides that the food was great
Amazing food, a little high price considering other Thai places
Food arrived cold and taste and appearance was very unpleasant the so call healthy juice ( pomegranate lemon ) was no more than an expensive glass of koolaid with a lemon slice. if you have a few bucks to waste by all means eat at the pavilion
First of all I've eaten thereSeveral times and have always loved the experience. But yesterday I had the worst experience.I receivedChicken Pan ThaiThat was super dried outAnd unseasonedAlso the shrimp fried riceWhich I get every timeWas not even cooked well.I don't know if it is because they were short-staffedBut the experienceWas not great.
Thai Pavilion was once of my favorite places to go. However, this experience was sub par. The food was just okay and the service has been better. Hopefully, after people return to going out on the regular basis the food will return to what it once was.
Tasty but overpriced. The location is very convenient but is it worth it? If you’re in a pinch and really feeling for Thai food.
The food was excellent and the decor was fabulous. The dishes were light and flavorful. The artwork and decor was exotic and beautiful.
Went there for lunch and the food was absolutely amazing! Some of the best on the area!
OMG, delicious food options! I recommend the pad thai (no eggs, with tofu) for the vegans.... and add some spice to it!
Stopped for a quick lunch and they had excellent food and fast service. I had the drunken noodles and some wings for a starter. Enjoyed both
Excellent service
Enjoyed the shrimp spring rolls and sweet shrimp basil rice. The plum wine was a nice finish!!! Would definitely return.
Get the wings!! This were some of the best chicken wings I've ever had in my life!!! This place is great. Prices are affordable the place is neat and the decorative is interesting and detailed.
Yummy dumpling!
Everything I've ordered so far has been amazing!💗💛💗
Really enjoyed the flavor. They were kind to make something for kids even though no kid's menu. Kids had chicken and fried rice...and ate seconds and thirds. Fresh drinks were great also.
Hit and miss. But only has the appetizers.
Only stopped in for drinks with sister and it was VERY nice inside. The atmosphere is a "let's meet for drinks/possible date". I did not eat any food. But the PEARTINI was delicious and my sister gave the Pomegranate Margarita thumbs way up.
Great food
Excellent service
Nice ambiance
2nd time here. Not a fan. 1st time during summer of Covid wouldn't let us sit outside!?! 2nd time my food was cold...cashew chicken. I live around the corner walking distance. What a disappointment. Update: called the restaurant, they're remaking my dish. Thank you. Great service 👏 food taste good.
I am not thrilled with their abbreviated Covid menu
Great interior design. Stuff is very friendly. Food is amazing. Prices are good. Portions are bigger than regular.
Ridiculously overpriced! My wife and I took our siblings for lunch today and were blown away by how much it cost us. For starters, the drink prices are crazy. Thai iced tea/coffee was $6! On top of that the Thai iced coffee isn’t even good. And $4 for a glass of watery, unsweetened “sweet” tea. But what was even worse was that their lunch prices only apply on weekdays. Weekends you pay dinner price all day long, which I didn’t see noted anywhere. Finally, despite their website claiming that 18% gratuity is only automatically added for parties larger than 6 or after 6pm, it was added to our party of 4 at 1:30. All that for Thai food that was good but far from the best I’ve had. Long story short, you don’t actually get what you pay for here, especially not on weekends.
Very large portions and the food was pretty good. I loved my mango sticky rice. Great customer service.
The ambiance and service was really nice and the food okay.
Honestly a waste if money and the hostess was rude and very rushy! Never again!!!!!
Food and service is great.. most important they have safety measures im place for dining in
Excellent Thai food! We had a crab steamed dumplings, chicken pad thai, panang curry, and the cashew chicken; all the meals were excellent! The service was fantastic and everything came out hot and fresh. I am looking forward to going back again!
Food waa real good
Even one star is waste.
We order food and they didn't give us water because of covid and they asked buying bottle of water for $2. We understood but your serving food and not giving water????? Are you kidding?? We had 2kids eating food together but one of food was spicy for them. I asked server 3times if food is spicy or not spicy. I asked server if they have togo cup with water but she said no. My kids was crying because food was spicy I called manager and asked for water but he was saying no and I asked for if he can give us cup of ice and he brought it. That was so funny cup of water was not okay and cup of ice is okay??? Don't saying your selling bottle of water cous of covid then closed your restaurant. Food was too sweet and too salty and too expensive!! After I received check, tip was included. I never been to this kind of restaurant everything was the worst ever ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Ruin all my family's day😡😡😡😡
really good pad thai
very pog. food is good and nice vibe to the place.
Delicious food, reasonably priced. Polite staff. The green Currys the best
Tasty food, kids loved it.
Excellent food and service - great spot for a date! 5 stars
The food is always delicious. I love their fried rice entrees. There might be longer than normal wait times right now due to COVID guidelines.
The food was good, however it was little but on the expensive side .
So good!
First time ordering, used online "PostMates" Pickup on a Saturday (i.e. heavy foot-traffic at the Harbor). Took a few moments to figure it out, but when we pulled up in front of the store, the lady brought my order out to the car as discussed via phone.
--Chicken Kee Mao (Noodle)
--Vegetable Tom Ka (Soup)
Thank you again!!
Very nice people working there but they got my food order wrong. Hate to return food especially in today's environment so I ate my mystery meal which was good but not what I wanted
They weren’t providing water for “customer safety” reasons. I’m not sure why because they’re serving food during dine in so I don’t know why serving water would make it a difference. They said it was $2 per bottled water and I had a bunch of bottled waters in my purse already for our walk which I asked if we could just drink instead and they said no.. $2 for bottled water and we weren’t allowed to drink our own? Decided to walk out and dine someplace else. Rip off.
Service was just "ok" food was full of flavor. Definitely mainly going back for the food. Drinks were watered down
타이음식은 별로고 오히려 스시가 맛난집
Food was ok but not worth it for price.
This Thai restaurant left a very good taste in my mouth both the taste of the food and the atmosphere. The portions are well worth seeking for it. I enjoyed it every time I go there.
Nice place but the food was not that good. Four of us went and at least 3 of us were not pleased with the food and we each got something different. I got a noodle dish that was just bland. The description said it came with brown sauce but it didn't look or taste like it had any sauce and I had to ask for soy sauce just to give it some flavor. The drinks were good though.
Food is delicious and the staff is very nice.
Place is well decorated, Especially the staff, very friendly and nice. Food was pretty good portion size is quite big for the price. But our Pad Thai were a little dried. But overall it was pretty good would recommend!
The food here is amazing, but they have very strict rules about sharing food. My partner offered me a very small bite of his rice to see if it was something I'd be interested in ordering on our next visit (I've been here three times and only had ever had the Pad Thai) and we were scolded by our waitress not to share anything off our plates, despite us both ordering a full-priced entrée each. I believe something similar happened to my friend and her boyfriend on a prior visit as well.
Otherwise, as stated earlier, the Pad Thai is delicious and the place itself is very clean, but if you want to offer your friend/partner a bite of your food to try, do so at your own risk.
Very Wonderful Restaurant and Food 😁
Bit on the pricier side but consistent quality and attentive staff
Authentic thai food
I really liked the green curry with chicken. There prices are a little high compared to my local Thai place, but not bad for national harbor. 9/10 with rice.
Fast and ordering for pick up was easy. Ordered the shrimp fried rice with basil for $19. Enough for 2 people. Shrimp wasn’t the cleanest and I only counted 2-3 basil leaves. A whole lottta rice, some bell pepper slivers.
Waited approximately 50 minutes for my food. The cashew chicken to be specific. The food arrived cold. They took it back, and reheated it which took an additional 10 minutes. The manager refused to compensate me in any way or acknowledge that waiting an hour for reheated chicken that I was paying 20 dollars for was unacceptable. Don't waste your money, don't waste your time. The only saving grace is that the rest of the staff are very polite and friendly.
Service was not unfriendly, but was slow, and while it was probably a one off thing my food was patently untasty.
Very good food. And not overly priced.
Very quiet. Good place for food and conversation.
Great service and authentic Thai spice. Yum!!
The food was so good and flavorful and the service was pretty good the restaurant is on the more expensive side but well worth it
Thai Pavilion is in a beautiful area! The food was delicious so were the drinks! If you love Thai food this is the place to go! Loved the art inside the restaurant and the staff was pretty friendly. Good atmosphere would definitely go again! The only thing I wasn’t too fond of was, the sushi bar wasn’t open at the time we went.
Good food...wonderful service
Service was absolutely phenomenal we were greeted and set down there a table within 10 seconds of us walking in. The appetizers came out extremely fast and were so delicious. The entrees came outa couple of minutes after we finished our appetizers so our waitress' pacing was absolutely phenomenal. a 10 out of 10 experience through and through I would definitely recommend this place for the service and the great quality food.
The atmosphere was nice, our waitress was quite good and the food was nicely prepared and beautifully served.
Great food!
Great Thai food. Well prepared, nicely spiced, clean facility, and great service
Omgggggggggg everything is fresh please get the dumplings awesome place to go out to eat
Excellent meal. Served by a charming and attentive staff. Seems legit. Very quiet, off season.
Always good.
Went here during our stay at the Gaylord. The food was really good. Sad that the sushi doesn't start until 5PM, but I can understand why.
I thought it was great food, their spicy is truly spicy, service was great, pricing affordable
Second time and Thai pavilion is still a great place to have a chic dinner with your date or friends. The pineapple mint drink is amazing and so is the Thai fried rice. Sadly someone in our group had both shellfish and peanut allergy so we had to avoid most of the typical Thai dishes. The honey ginger duck was amazing.
Food was tasty but I found eggshells in my crab fried rice. Pretty sure I got food poisoning from this place 🤮
So good even when busy! The curry is tasty. The pad Thai is delicious.
The food is good if a little over priced. The service is very slow.
Don't tell your patrons that you can seat them and let them wait for more than an hour with no attempt to combine tables to accommodate. Pathetic customer service. This place thrives on visitors to National Harbor. It would be out of business if it only had repeat customers - because there wouldn't be any.
Delicious food, quick service.
Food and service was great. Prices are higher due to the location, but not outrageous. Our server was very helpful and attentive. Menu is pretty big and has all of the standard Thai dishes and some interesting drinks. I recommend checking out the lunch specials.
I go there everytime I'm in town. Sometimes even travel. It gets obnoxiously busy but I love the food.
Good food
Great food
Not the best thai food in my opinion bc it didnt seem fresh but was fast and my kids ate it up
Love the shrimp basil rice. The panang is also really good. Not a huge fan of their lard na. Also really great calamari, shrimp rolls, and veggie rolls.
Management - very bad. Not good to manage lots of incoming customer. Over 3-4 tables were empty for 30 mins at least but the waiting line was super long and a mess.
The restaurant had no one came out to organize how the line should be and check with the customer who were here already/first and willing to be added on the waiting list. Several people cut the line to put the name on the waiting list and ignore others who were in the line over 40 mins.
The restaurant can avoid the chaos if they put the name down correctly and manage the waiting line well.
Good delicious food.
Food was good, service was rough
Great selection of Thai classics.
Food was okay. Could be better
Not that great.
I used to love this place but today was beyond horrible! The server’s were all so rude.we had a party of 9 and she didn’t even ask if we wanted it on one ticket or multiple. Maybe we should have told the nonetheless when we kindly asked her to split them she got an attitude and I had to split it MYSELF!
She caught an attitude the first time we worked on her and had it till we left. The food was below average. I will never come here again. Our server’s ID was Tiff_124.
Never again will I give these people my money.
Food and service was great
Awesome food. God options for vegetarians and vegans.
Great Thai food. Welcoming environment.
Service was professional and timely.
Food was great but I paid with my credit card and the server decided to take her own tip from my credit card without my approval. Is that illegal?
Delicious
Decent Thai restaurant, certainly better than any of the other restaurants we considered that were open ‘til 10 pm or later in the area.
The costumer service is horrible. I sat at the bar for ten minutes and no one greeted me. I left shortly afterwards. I would not recommend this restaurant!!
Nice food
Very tasty Thai restaurant. The service is ok and the food is fresh. Booking is advised esp. for large groups.
Omg.....if I could eat here every week I would. The food is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is also really cool, and one of the times I went, there was a love band. I definitely would recommend this place, especially for a date night. The drinks are also really good.
Thai food is the Bombdiggity
Great food and service. The menu has a great range of choices for a great price.
