I have been a repeat customer for a few years and this place is one of the best! The food is delicious and consistent. My latest experience involved trying a new menu item and I was impressed. The food was average but service was good. Pho meat was overcooked and the Basil Fried Rice didn't have enough veggies.

Probably my most frequented sit in restaurant. Food is almost always great as well as the service. They are very consistent in a good way, that’s important to me.

I have eaten dinner at this restaurant during business trips to the area, once recently (October 2024) and once a year prior (September 2023). I was staying at the nearby SpringHill Suites so didn't have many choices within walking distance. Both times my orders were similar: panang/red curry, vegetable roll, Thai iced tea. While not as good as the Thai restaurants I am used to in LA, still the food was decent, and service was prompt though quite casual. The ambiance was, well, desolate - at the recent visit I was the sole person eating in and I recall last year there were just one or two other diners. I guess this place given its remote location mostly serves a take-out clientele from the nearby residential development. Overall a decent place to eat at or take-out from.

The food is near authentic and extremely flavorful. The portions are huge. We ate the duck krapow, thai papaya salad, pad thai and float boat noodle. This place is better than most Thai restaurants in the tristate area, especially considering the super reasonable price. Good food, good price, huge portions.

The Yellow Curry was spot-on. I travel frequently and I always eat Thai at least once. The dish tasted fresh and the spice level was just right. Portions were generous.

I ordered through Door Dash and the first time my order was incorrect and some of the food wasn't that good BUT I called the establishment directly and they were very friendly, polite, professional, helpful and issued me a partial refund. This time my order was correct and my food was absolutely delicious!!! I got crab Rangoon, Thai Rainbow fried rice with beef and Larb Kai (which I thought was called larb Gai 🤔) and it was all so very delicious!!!! I would definitely order all of this again and also be willing to try some new things too. One thing to mention, the Larb Kai though very tasty, was not spicy at all and every time I've gotten it from any other Thai place it was always very spicy, so next time I might probably ask them to make it spicy 🤷🏽‍♀️

Ordered a carryout from here. I ordered a beef steak which says grilled entres come with rice. This to my surprise is not grilled. More like sauted bland no seasoning, tough steak with mushroom, red peppers and onions with little side of salad with no dressing and a little side of lomein looking noodles that was drenched in oil.

Not really sure how on the grilled menu it says special sauce and herbs but it comes out totally different! I also ordered Larb Kai really spicy and it was not even spicy. There was no lime taste really. I had to add extra lime juice to it. And I also ordered chicken satay. Some of the chicken parts were really tough like I was chewi ng on rubber.

I waited an hour for this carryout when told 40-45 minutes for carryout and it was not ready even after my alarm went off to go pick up and had to wait extra 15 minutes. Total was $43 and still gave $5 bucks tip.

Was it worth it? No not really. I was totally disappointed needless to say. Sigh

The food is so good! I adore the Thai Rainbow Salad, the milk teas w tender boba, Tom Kha soup, the sticky rice and mango — all so delicious! My husband could eat the Pad Mee Krob every day. Dishes comes out fresh and hot — they don’t wait for all the dishes for everyone at the table to be ready first, so they really are Fresh and Hot!! (And the fried ice cream is amazing!!)
Only reason for 4 stars for Atmosphere is that it’s sometimes a bit chilly! I always bring an extra layer, and then let the food and the service warm me up!

Okay so I ordered off the lunch special for takeout and the portion was so sad. I wish I had taken a picture of it but it took 2 minutes to eat because it was TINY. Maybe 5 pieces of long noodles and 6 tiny pieces of chicken. What a waste of money… and they require you to tip for picking up your “appetizer” of a lunch special.

The taste was good though but not worth $12 for a small bowl. The service was good too. Will not be coming back and don’t recommend ordering takeout.

Love everything about this place

It’s ridiculous. Very disappointed with the service. We ordered 2 red curry with pork and vegetable with white rice. I even repeated my order twice through the phone. But what I got really disappointed. They messed up my order with 2 Pad Thai and soup without rice. Never waste my money ever again!

Restaurant with a really cool and authentic vibe. Food is excellent and the staff is terrific. I even had a tiny ordering issue and they gave me an extra redo entree to go. They were so awesome I'll come back for sure. It's also located near the hotel where there isn't much choice so I was happy to have met them!

My favorite go to place. I love the dunken noodles, esan papaya salad, pad thai, tom yum soup, and float bloat. They have the best veggie egg rolls.

Visited this Nov 11 for dinner at 6:00 pm . Waitress not very attentive and got two of the orders wrong . The girl with blonde and black hair needs to be trained to take the orders and repeat back to the customer in order to make sure she has the correct order . Food is average because we ordered rice dishes and noodle dishes . Rice was too soggy because of over use of oil so we’re the noodles. Wxitress did nothing r even ask what spice level we wanted our food but the fresh Thai chili served with food made up for the force of spice .

Do not eat here if you want good service. While the place was in good clean order the waitress was very rude and dismissive. The food came out at different times. By the time the other half the group got their food the other half of the group was finished and ready to go. There was only 7 of us. By the time I finally received my food the entire group was finished and ready to go so I ended up taking my food to go.
The restaurant was virtually empty so there was no excuse for the behavior of the waitress or any of the other issues occurred.
This was my first and very last time eating in this place. Pay attention to the bad reviews as they are correct. I read the reviews before coming and didn't listen.

Went to this restaurant for my daughters birthday. She was never served her meal and sat there while everyone else ate. Waitress was told 20 minutes prior and meal never came. Her evening was ruined and she left of course very upset. Service was the worse. We had to clear the table of empty plates, yeah, and put them on another table. Her meal was on the receipt, just forgotten and nothing done. Never again will we go to this place.

Service was so rude!
We just moved to this town, looking for something good so we stumbled upon this restaurant. Being that they close at 9pm, we called at 8:30pm and they didn’t want to take any to go orders. That was completely fine, we’ll try another day. Today we stopped by. The young server lady was so rude. She asked if we were ordering for here or togo, my husband said for togo, then she went straight to the kitchen without saying anything. We thought she’s coming back but we were waiting for awhile! We ordered 4 things (fried rice, seafood soup, papaya salad and sticky rice). But I asked her if we can eat the sticky rice at the restaurant, the 3 others are for togo. Seems like she didn’t like it what we said. The table we sat at didnt have anything, no water, no napkins! When she brought the sticky rice out, we asked for napkins, she ignored it. Twice, we asked, she ignored….again while she was standing so close to us!!!!! Later then we were done with the dish, she brought out the togo food and…… napkins…..We did tip $8 tho and the restaurant wasn’t that busy at all…..

I placed an order via GrubHub 11/14 and the following events transpired:

1). I arrived after notification the order was ready approx 35-40 mins. I was told it would be 5 minutes which ended up being 15 minutes before the woman came out from the back area/kitchen.

2). She handed me a bag which clearly was missing one item I had ordered. She commenced to argue for 1-3 minutes I had not ordered the item. Upon showing her the Grubhub receipt she then switched tactics.

3). She then insisted it wasn’t their fault as though it could somehow be mine although they are the establishment who accepted the order and prepared the food. She then said the order was picked up by someone else. The only fault in her “logic” is I was the person who placed the order, and told no one of my order so they order could not have been picked up by “someone else” on my behalf. The lack of integrity shown by this seating hostess/establishment after bungling an order was astonishing. I wonder what other lack of integrity they show in food prep or other phases of operating the food establishment.

The waitress was rude and unpleasant. I've been here before and never had that kind of experience. Will not be returning.

It's difficult to find good Thai food in the Baltimore area, so expectations were low for Thai Rainbow when I ordered for the first time. I've since gone back 1-2x per week for the last 6 weeks and plan to continue to do so. Food is pretty good.

With a pad thai, you want that sweet and savory flavor mix with noodles that aren't glued together from being overcooked. It has to have the right amount of saltiness and mixture of egg, protein, scallions. Thai Rainbow does it right. Their Pad-Se-Eew and Drunken Noodles are equally good and flavorful. It's also a nice touch that you either get a chicken satay or spring roll with each lunch order.

Best take out Thai in the area! Available for delivery on Door Dash.

I have never written a review before but this was too much. I ordered pad thai with chicken which was ok until I got to the middle and found a long hair in my food. I know it’s not my hair because my hair is in a bun and it’s curly. Needless to say I will never return. If your cooks are not using hair nets they SHOULD!

Since moving to the area several years ago my wife and I have been searching for a good Thai restaurant. While there are several chinese place that offer "Thai" dishes these dishes are severely lacking. We stumbled across Rainbow Thai while out running errands we both were excited and stopped in for dinner. I am so glad we did the server was a gracious host and our dishes arrived quickly. I got my favourite Green Curry my wife the Mussamon curry. Both meals were delicious, flavorful and really hit the spot. I of course had desert. I love Mango with Sticky rice my wife ordered the fried ice cream. DELICIOUS!

Waitress is horrible. No silverware. No plates. Soups were late. Argumentative when our wings cam out plain and dry. Always used to be yummy and dripping in sauce. Waitress Mo used to be super friendly. She's gone. Everyone was complaining. Never going back.

One of my favorite spots to go to! I had an issue ordering with uber eats where my order took 2 hours and was then cancelled by the driver. I went to the store to try and do a pick up order and was told that the order (over 2 hrs old) was picked up by a different driver. After explaining my situation the server (Sam) graciously agreed to make me a new order and went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied. The food here is amazing but so is the customer service. My advice, never use uber eats.

I was hopeful that the only Thai restaurant in the Perry Hall/Middle River area would serve up some flavorful Thai food, but it left much to be desired.

We ordered the Pad Thai and Pad Puck (spice level 5) both with Chicken to go. The best way to describe the Pad Thai is 95% flavorful noodles 5% everything else; supposedly it had bean sprouts, peanuts, and chicken. The noddles has good flavor, but were congealed together. The few bean sprout in the dish were soggy because somehow they were packaged in the bottom? So that made them limp. The peanuts were cut so small it was almost like a dust. Missing the major crunch factor. I had to add my own hot sauce to make it more edible. The chicken was unseasoned flattened pieces, but hey it’s only a dollar extra so I guess I shouldn’t have expected much. The Pad Puck was decently spiced with a ton of stir fried vegetables, but the sauce was like water so it really lacked in flavor.

I was coming into Baltimore on a Sunday evening flight, staying in Middle River, and had to get up early the next day for a meeting. Just by my lucky stars did I notice Thai Rainbow just across the street from my hotel – with honestly no other dining options around (other than Subway). Seemed like an odd location for a restaurant, but there were several others already there so I figured it must be worth a try. One of the best decisions I ever made. The restaurant was very clean, well furnished and decorated, and the hostess accommodating. My standard gauge for Thai restaurants is Pad Thai so that was my order. It wasn’t the absolute best I had ever had, but it was still fantastic. I was a little unsure at first because it was served so quickly – but it was served hot and fresh and so good! I would return a couple of other nights during my week there, not for a lack of other eating options but because I was looking forward to it. I also order the Yellow Curry and the Massaman – again, both were great! I would say that the biggest challenge for this place was the location (kind of out there), but I was surprised and how many take out orders were rolling through while I was there – so they must be doing something right. Most dishes are very reasonably priced around $12 per plate. Looking forward to my next stay in Middle River.

When I arrived there, two women employees were sitting down at a back table and one was on the other side relaxing. They heard me come in the store and I’m sure they saw me. I was waiting for someone to come take my order and they did not. Three white business men walked in and they all jumped up to take their order. I say no more. I love Thai food. I usually buy the drunken noodle. I found another Thai place in the city. Forget these people. My money isn’t good enough?

Amazing food and great customer service. The lady knows my order when I call or walk in the door. Their food is authentic and delicious.

This is a great Thai restaurant. I've ordered from them plenty of times. But the reason for the 3 stars is I ordered Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. There was plenty of chicken but there were only 4 shrimp. I paid extra to have two items but 4 shrimp??? And it wasn't jumbo or large shrimp. As I've said, I love their food but was disappointed especially since I paid $3 extra for shrimp.

Food and service was amazing. Had several curries, soups, pad Thai, and dumpings. Everything was delish! Looking forward to our next trip.

Occasionally, you find a hidden gem! This is one of those places. First and foremost, the food is outstanding. If you are looking for a place that serves great Thai and will customize your order to your liking, this is it! I would also like to state that the service was fabulous! I am a hard sell on quality customer service, but they nailed it!

Stopped in from a quick work meeting . Glad I did ! The Tom Kha soup was delish and the restaurant was very clean . Will stop by again if I’m in town !

Thai Rainbow is AWESOME!!! Food is spectacular and staff and owners are great people. Their food is very authentic not like all the other "thai" so called restaurants in the MD VA DC corridor. Thai Rainbow deserves 10 stars not 5!

I am torn on this review. My curry was good, our tables apps were tasty as well. Nothing unusual everything was very routine. The atmosphere in the restaurant was ok, not great. I was disappointed by the lack of vegetarian choices.

Decent food. Great tasting tod mon pla. We will be returning.

the drunken noodles were great and spicy! and the fried rice was the best Ive ever had in the US. those 2 dishes alone make it worth it. oh, and its available on GrubHub 😁

If it weren’t for the high prices...I would give this place 5 ⭐️’s. Other then that the food is great! Friendly staff, and orders are done relatively quick depending on how busy they are at the time (usually 5-10min).

Very good food. Large portions. If you leave here hungry shame on you. Authentic Thai food. Great staff and very clean. Nice quiet atmosphere. The Pineapple fried rice with chicken, egg, carrots, pineapple chunks is awesome!

This place has ZERO consistency. We've ordered here 4 times. 3 out of the 4 have been bad experiences. The last time was the last straw. Ordering 1 on spice will either leave you gasping for water with every sip, with a flavorless, non-spicy meal OR they will get it right and it will be amazing. They only got it right 1 out of 4 orders so we're done with this place. This last time they even managed to make my son's Pad Thai spicy which has never been a problem in the past. Unacceptable.

This place is great. The interior design was very colorful but in a tasteful way to reflect the restaurants name. I ordered the Pad Mee Krob and it was very flavorful. The vegetables had a noticeable crunch and was fresh. Finally the staff were very attentative to our needs and we didn't wait long for anything. Overall a wonderful experience.

Great food, super friendly staff, and it's a BYOB with a liquor store in the same plaza. Here's a tip- when there's a chili-pepper next to the menu item, take it seriously. First Thai restaurant I've been to where I didn't have to add spice to my drunken noodles. They also have many vegan items available.

No wine or cocktails, but it is BYOB and they're is a liquor store right next door. We bought a bottle of wine and had a great meal. Very spicy, be sure to ask for the mild options if you aren't ready for the heat.
