Chic, contemporary bistro serving traditional curry, noodle & rice dishes, plus cocktails.
Went to Thai at Waugh Chapel hoping for a flavor explosion, but it was more like a firecracker that fizzled out. 🤷♂️
The calamari? Oh, it was crispy, alright... but apparently, they forgot the seasoning was a thing. Like, did the salt get lost on the way to the kitchen? 🧂❌ I guess they wanted to see how far they could take "plain" before someone noticed. Spoiler: We noticed. 😅
On the bright side, the drink was the MVP. 🍹 It’s like they poured all their seasoning efforts into that one cocktail because it was the only thing bursting with flavor. If only they could sprinkle some of that magic on the food too. 😬
All in all, the place has potential, but next time I’ll be bringing my own salt shaker.
Walked past this place on a Saturday night. Ended up grabbing dinner here and we left very satisfied. We ordered Siam Chicken,
Garlic Lovers with Shrimp and a side of fried rice. Everything was so flavorful! Maybe I was super hungry but I do wish the portion was slightly bigger for the Garlic Lovers with Shrimp. The atmosphere was great and our waitress was nice. Can’t wait to go back!
After several visits of this restaurant, with both dinner and lunch time experience, I can say with confidence that this is a solid Thai spot to go to.
Food: delicious, we have ordered most of the items off the appetizers and liked almost all of them except for the chicken on skewer, due to flavor a bit blend and at times, the chicken can be a little dry. The Duck Roll is a must to have. All the curries are delicious. Any Ka Pao’s make sure you eat with rice. And their spicy level is just right for us BUT…might be too spicy for normal American spicy tolerance. Please be aware. Decent portion size for sharing.
Space: clean, do get crowded for dinner and weekends.
Service: 90% of the time, our services are pretty good. But when they are super packed during dinner time, it can get a little lagging. There are also 1-2 servers that don’t speak very well English, which caused some communication issues, however, since the servers do work as a team (which is great), so when things like this happen, others stepped in to help out.
Parking: large Waugh Chapel shopping center parking lot all around, so no need to worry at all.
Highly recommend by @WineDinenVacay
The food was very good. Well prepared and presented very nicely. The customer service; however, was absolutely deplorable. For all that the food was good, the waiter who served my lady and I absolutely ruined our first time experience (as we were initially excited to come here after seeing a food review post on TikTok) from the time he greeted us until the moment we left. For that reason, we will NEVER visit this place again. This was probably one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had in a restaurant setting and we dine out at various restaurants very frequently a month. I really want to go into detail about how horrible the waiter was; however, I’ll leave this review on a positive note stating the food was very delicious and definitely worth the ordering.

I visited Thai at Waugh chapel for lunch. I placed my order from the Noodle or Rice menu. I asked the server if I would be able to substitute the pork for the flank steak at the same price and he nodded yes. I also ordered rice instead of noodles. The subject "Noodle or Rice" menu as named, is misleading. It appears that the customer have the option of ordering noodles or rice for their meal. When my entree was delivered to the table, the server gave me noodles instead of the rice that I decided upon. Unfortunate for me when the bill came I was charged $2 for rice and an upcharge of $21 more dollars. Needless to say this is horrible customer service. I practically pleaded with the supervisor to reduce my bill to a lesser charge because they messed up my order. They never admitted their mistake. Please be careful with this restaurant they're not customer friendly and use communication barriers to support providing bad service to their paying customers. I walked out on satisfied.
Best for Thai . Best place for getting out …..
Crab fried rice was delicious. Won ton soup was also good.
Food and service were great! Server made excellent suggestions. Prices were good.
Great Gyoza and Yellow Curry.
Food was tasty and the service was good.
Absolutely the best Thai in the area! Staff is very attentive. Food is delicious and made to order. Love dining in and picking up. Fast and courteous service.
Food has gone down hill and drinks as well! Ate in tonight and servings have decreased, food is bland. We really need to stop giving these people our money for nothing. They had one good bartender, but he wouldn’t step away from hosting to make our drinks. Drinks we got were trash, won’t be back!
Is it high end? nope, but its a nice atmosphere, especially for those experimenting with Thai food...Recommended starter dish
Get the Red /Curry with Shrimp. Once it comes to your table, dump the rice in your curry...thank me later.
The food is very good and offers a very good selection of specialty drinks
Good food everytime I go
I thought the sushi was well prepared and delicious, and dished in an attractive way. It's a hidden little unassuming spot. If you like Thai or sushi, give it a go.

This was my third time visiting this place over the years. The food is always good. The only drawback was the waiter who constantly returned to our table after we told him we were waiting on another guest. Very annoying. Also one of our servers was very rude because she gave us someone else's order after we told her it didn't belong to us. She was very unpleasant and hopefully we will not have to deal with her again. Aside from that I would recommend as the food is great.
Foods good af, service staff is cool, good music always on.
The food was mediocre at best. I had the Street Noodle since the first two ingredients were noodles and Shrimp. There were 3 tiny shrimp in this dish and a whole lot of ground chicken. Very salty. I've had better.
Everyone else complained about their food too.
This is not authentic Thai food.
I also waited a long time for the check, even though it was only half full.
Good food, good service
So so so so good! I can’t wait to go back
We go here once a week it is incredible

The food was EXCELLENT and should receive 5 stars! However, the music playing in the background is not suitable for a family environment with impressionable children. I'm an older woman and my ears couldn't handle the inappropriate language for such a RESPECTABLE dining establishment.

The food is hot, fresh, and exactly what the description says. However, the service is lacking. I would have spent more money here except the servers were more worried about talking and doing whatever they wanted. I had to find someone so I could pay my bill, luckily for them I don’t dine and dash because honestly with the lack of attention I could have just got up and left and I doubt they would have even noticed.
6th review. They have changed their website. Now when you order they want you to add a meat at an extra cost. However, the meal comes with a meat and you are not given a choice until you go to check out. This is very deceptive. That's when 5th review. Why do I still come here? Ordered for pickup at 4pm and I have to wait a half hour to get it. They had 3 hour's notice. 4th review. We ha an early dinner here this afternoon and while there was hardly any body there, the service was adbonable. All the server's were on their cell phones paying no attention to us. Totally clueless was our server. I gave a $1 tip, she could have gotten $25.
3rd review. The place has just gone down hill. It's back to 2 stars. The food just isn't as good.
2nd review. First time there I gave it 2 stars. Since then it has improved. The veggie thai eggplant and the lamb 2 ways are great.
My first review:
The curry food was tasty but somewhat limited on the amount of veggies and other stuff that goes with it. They are especially skimpy on the amount of rice they give you with an entree. You only get a half cup of cooked rice. We had to ask for more rice. The second time we asked the server said they would have to charge $1:50 for the half cup. Their cost is less than 8 cents for a half cup. In bulk their cost is probably 4 cents. Including tip the entree is $20. I don't understand why they skimp on something so inexpensive. The restaurant was not very busy on a Wednesday night. I wonder if it will be around much longer. By the way, the food was delicious.
Lovely atmosphere. The waiters were very friendly and cordial. They were patient and helpful with the menu selections. We had a great time.
Best, best, best thai food. This is our favorite spot to go to. We drive up from DC it's so good. The Hot Drunken Noodles are amazing and prices are reasonable. Service has always been outstanding and there is a great selection of non-alcoholic mocktails.
Cozy restaurant with very good authentic Thai dishes.
Our food arrived from the kitchen quickly! It was hot and everything was delicious!
Service and atmosphere was great!
We'll definitely come back!

The food has always been great every time we’ve come here, but the service is always sub par. We rarely get a greeting from the waiters/waitresses and the wait for food can be long at times.
Went for an early dinner around 3:30 pm with my husband. The food was OK except for the shrimp cake appetizer. Spicy but otherwise tasteless. The customer service was AWFUL. When we entered, there was no greeting except for how many. No hello or good afternoon. She just picked up two menus and walked to the table. I was confused at first. My husband just followed, so I did too. She put the menus on the table and walked away. The waitress/hostess went and sat with a group of other staff and started talking in their native language. I really should have left at the point. Finally, she returned with glasses of water, no ice, not a word, and left again. 10 minutes later, she returned for our order. Food came out in a timely manner. Never saw her again until my husband signaled to her. She never returned to check on us or check if the food was OK. Now the two of us sitting there and she put the bill in front of me. She did not put it in the middle of the table or ask who was paying. I guess she assumed the black woman was paying. After signing the credit receipt, she never returned to pick it up. No goodbye or anything. We silently left. Never to return.
One of the worse restaurant experiences of my life. The restaurants’ closing time is 10:00pm. We walked in at 9:20 and were offered a seat at the bar and were told we had five mins to order, understandably. As we were eating around 9:40 we were approached to hurry up and pay for our $120 bill. I politely told the waitress to allow us to at least finish my meal we still have 20 mins before closing time. The waitress pretended to not understand me and still demanded for me to pay. I forgot to mention the fact that when they brought the food out they slammed it on the bar like we were a problem. If you are not going to provide your customers with respect past a certain time, then you should change your operating hours. Mopping the floor 15 mins before you close while your customers are still eating is not acceptable. Do not gladly take my money and treat me as that, just money.
Best Thai I've had in the area. Food and drinks are always amazing. Cocktails can be a little expensive but they ate good.
Great food. Average service
I was totally disgusted when I found a dead roach in my food.
Very yummy with fresh tasting ingredients and amazing flavors, best tom kha soup I have been able to find in this area. Delivery was fast.
I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Thai at Waugh Chapel. Before today I ate here atleast once a month. As a 28-year-old Black woman, I went to pick up my food order only to be refused by the manager. She demanded proof that the debit card used to submit the order was mine, even though I had the order confirmation and identification details.
Unfortunately, I didn't have my purse with me at the time, which meant I couldn't provide the proof she asked for. Despite explaining my situation, the manager refused to give me my order and instead issued a refund. This experience was humiliating and felt discriminatory, as I have never been asked for such proof at other establishments. I have never been refused service before in any other situation, which makes this incident even more troubling.
I ended up getting food elsewhere, but the unnecessary hassle and lack of respect I encountered here left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope the management takes steps to address this issue to prevent future incidents like this.
Good food. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend for your next Thai fix.
Customer service and the food were AWFUL! I would not recommend this place at all! First of all, they need to do a deep clean because how is the floor and windows dirty at 12? Clearly they don’t care about cleanliness so that should have been my red flag to leave, but I was thinking it would be a hole in the wall type place. Second of all, ordered several items from the menu and the only thing good were the drinks. Not to mention I felt like I had to flag someone down to come to my table. All the restaurants I’ve been to in Waugh Chapel, I would NEVER come back here. Don’t waste your time or money if you value either.
Have tried the drunken noodles, ka pow rice with chicken, ka pow fried rice, pineapple fried rice, duck rolls, pad Thai, and sticky sweet rice with mango. Everything is delicious. Staff is very nice. Plenty of parking. Location has very nice atmosphere. No complaints.
Food is decent, but the service leaves much to be desired. Our particular server felt very dismissive.
In our opinion, the absolute best Thai option in Anne Arundel County! The food is phenomenal, and if you like it really spicy, they definitely deliver! Their ambiance is way better than Lemongrass and their service has been amazing. I dream of getting this at least weekly!
The food was really good, will definitely be going back 😃
Always fast, always delicious, always fresh. Everyone is friendly and accommodating - this is hands down our favorite place when we are running errands and need to slow down and enjoy a good meal before getting back to it. I love the sesame ginger beef the best!
The food was delicious and fresh. The pop music was heavy on the bass; the songs had way too many expletives (e.g., pu**y, f**k, b**ch, n***as, etc.) for a Sunday afternoon. 😕 I asked for water with no ice after it was brought to my table. The waiter took it back and used his fingers to take the ice out. 🤮 NOT in this post-COVID-19 era!
On 3/23/24, we placed an order from this establishment. Regrettably, our experience was spoiled by the discovery of a dead roach in our steak fried rice. This was highly disappointing, especially considering our patronage in the past.
They charge your card then cancel the order. When you call you are put permanently on hold. The food was good when it first opened but now they don't take care of their customers anymore.
Still a great place for good ole reliable thai food. There is a lot of space with plenty of seating for large parties and seating at the bar as well. The Ka Pow Fried Rice and Drunken Noodles are reliably good. At times it can be hard to procure Sticky Rice with Mango because I have been told too many times to count at other thai restaurants that "mango is not in season" but they had it and it was worth the wait. They even threw in a candle when they overheard it was my birthday.
Good job Thai at Waugh Chapel, thanks for the reminder of your good food & service.
Amazing! We had a gin and tonic which was only ok. We also had a second drink with a weird name that was better that we cannot remember.
Jungle shrimp dish was aweseome! Be prepared for the heat! Yellow curry and tofu dish wlboth received rave reviews from the family.
Next time we will skip the drinks!
Overpriced for the quality of food. The food was vert very slow to come out. Drinks from the bar were even slower. Tried to order 3 different Thai beers, and they were out. Told me they were out 10 min after I ordered. Offered me Miller Lite and yeungling.
My go-to Thai food restaurant! The prices have definitely gone up (like the calamari is about as much as a meal now and you get less than an actual meal portion) but the food is still exquisite.
I love the pad thai here. It’s the best Thai food in Anne Arundel County.
Go and indulge!
This was my first ever Thai food experience and holy cow I’m in love! I ordered the street noodles (less spicy) and the gyoza and my husband ordered the Siam spicy chicken and needless to say we will be coming back. The place was also still decorated for Valentines Day and looked beautiful. Service was also pretty good but it was definitely a slow day!
I love Thai at Waugh Chapel, it is so good. Their food doesn’t disappoint! My recommendations…..
Bangkok wings (sooooo good)
Pad thai (classic.)
Street Noodles (very similar to pad thai)
Panang curry (very yum)
Thai Chicken noodle soup (add soy sauce and spice to suit your preferences, great if you’re not feeling good or want something light)
Strawberry Lemonade (ONLY when they do it fancy like my picture, we went another time and it was not fancy or good, it was not even the same color)
Thai iced tea (its like creamy iced tea, so good)
Don’t get the gyoza, crab rangoons, or shrimp cakes, they aren’t very good.
Favorite Thai restaurant in the Crofton area! The curries are always on point 😙
This is/was my favorite Thai restaurant. I travel 45 minutes every time I want delicious pad Thai to patronize this establishment. However, today I was greatly saddened/disgusted/disappointed when our waiter brought my water to the table with a ROACH in my drink. I called for the waiter and he attempted to quickly take the cup away without saying anything. I informed him I would like to show the manager and speak with them. The Manager was very apologetic and kind. She explained that it was the ice machine and it can be out of her control. Unfortunately, I’m still traumatized and in disbelief I was served a critter.
I do believe in redemption and that great customer service goes a long way because things do happen. It’s how you try to fix the problem. At first, nothing was offered to fix the problem until we started to repeat we had a roach. I guess, in order to avoid being heard by other diners, she then offered more food for free. I didn’t want to touch my food because my appetite was completely gone. She finally said she’ll take care of just the entrees and not the (non-alcoholic) drinks or appetizer.I feel with such a traumatizing experience, the whole service should have been comped. It was like pulling teeth to get that to happen. I won’t be returning.
It was amazing. The food is delicious. The atmosphere so inviting and the service excellent. I was very pleased when I visited for lunch.
We had a great time, we were in the party room, the food and was service was great. Dividing the ck was a little weird.
Delicious food, Responsive Wait staff and Lovely ambience..
(1/14/2023 around 2:20 pm)
Im actually really sad that i have to write this review about this restaurant because I regularly eat here with my mom and we LOVE the food. However, today when we went I realized something that made me say “I’m never coming here again”. I witnessed 3 different employees (all being waiters or food deliverers) of this restaurant do nasty, repulsive things. I also was upset with the waitress my mom and I had. Employee 1: picked his nose and kept touching his nose, while actively delivering food to tables. Employee 2: kept rubbing her nose with the back of her hand, playing in her hair, and handling her phone, then delivered my food to me with her phone in her hand, her entire phone screen was against my plate of food as she asked me if this was my order. Employee 3: rubbed his middle finger across his nose vigorously, and then continued to pick his nose with his left pinky finger. And finally, my waitress tried to be combative with me in regards to me being unhappy with an item that I ordered, which came out completely different than how I’ve had it before. After seeing those 3 nasty employees “dig for gold” or do other unsanitary things, I put my fork down and had to stop eating so I wouldn’t vomit. Although the food is really good here, today I saw how disgusting and unsanitary the employees are, especially in regards to it being flu season, and how COVID is starting to ramp up again. I can literally only imagine what it’s like in the back of the restaurant where the food is actually COOKED AND PREPARED. So I won’t be eating here anymore because I’m really disgusted and disappointed.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because compared to other Thai places I've been to, Thai at Waugh's prices are a bit higher for the same quality food.
HOWEVER, the atmosphere and location kind of make up for the price so it evens out. Still a great place for Thai cuisine if you are close by!
We've been here before and it was pretty good. This time we arrived around 9pm and they said that they served till 10. We ordered appetizers that were ok but not very warm. Then order 2 dinners the double lb that was good and drunken noodles that were way over spiced and had to be remade. Bu the time we received the remake they had turned off the music turned up the lights and started cleaning all around us with the smell of bleach that was so overwhelming that we could not eat and enjoy our meal. Theanager was extremely rude and offered to pack up the remainder of our meal. We had to insist that it be comped since we couldn't eat it there. If you are going to go here go early. You don't want to be there around closing time
Always good value for the cost.
They served our $7 drinks in plastic cups which was annoying. Waitress said that they ran out of glasses. Food was mediocre.
Food is amazing, the prices could be better though. Overall I’d still recommend the place.
Sooooo good! Great menu, food and service. I love this place!
Good option if you like Thai food. The Pad Thai is very good. The appetizers are good as well. Service was friendly and prompt. There are many choices at Waugh Chapel - including more standard out traditional diners, but for something different, this is a good choice.
Order the whole fishhh!!! It’s huge! We shared it and was satisfied. The portion for the seafood fried rice could be bigger for the cost.
My family and I ate here to celebrate my mothers 67th birthday! She loved it, and we ate until our sides hurt! I ordered the Pad ka Pow (flank steak) and had to keep everyone off it! But in all honesty, we shared and each dish was top notch!
Most dishes came with rice which was very filling. The boba tea was delicious, and the mango parfait was also tasty. Not a big fan of the Thai Tea Brûlée, kind of bitter :(.. Anyway! The salmon filled me up, and was crispy to a T! the sauce was delish :)
Highly recommend 10/10
We've been here multiple times and the food was good as usual just the service was a tad slow. Like some of the reviewers mentioned, their menu has a face lift and has many food to choose from. Removing one star because of the slow service and non-kid menu. Party of 7, spend: $290+
Overall I'll recommend.
The staff refused to serve me and my friend because because they claim we didn't give me them a tip. No one made us aware that we supposed to give a tip even though a tip is optional. I will never come in a place where I and my friend felt uncomfortable and was discriminated in.
Amazing place! Excellent service and delicious food.
Really nice Thai place. A lot of seating and the servers were all very friendly and attentive. The food also comes out very quick. Wasn't greasy or oily, and had a nice flavor. Would recommend checking out
Always great quality and beautiful presentation 👌🏽
At first, it was very nice. Even as a regular customer, rarely was I greeted or anything as one could expect frequently dining... One guy was nice and when he wasn't working, the service was not great. The last time, the drunken noodles, looked like they were DRUNK af... tired, dry and bland. I don't like that most of them have limited English so they either can't understand or pretend they don't understand. Another thing is the small 2 oz sauce for dipping; egg rolls, healthy rolls, or those they offer a sauce. If you need more, which you will, that's $5. TF. It's a usual spot because the food is typically good, but their service has gone down. TWC, you won't be getting my business, so I'll go to Laurel or find another Thai restaurant, so they all are punishment until I decide to give another chance.
Service not that great but food is good.
This will be my last time eating at this restaurant! Where to start… My server got my food wrong, kept forgetting to bring things I asked and rushed away too fast when I tried to request an item like more napkins or water. Then I asked to get another small single serving of dipping sauce to go home with my spring rolls/curry puffs. The manager claimed they could only sell me the large containers of sauce for $3 each, and couldn’t give or sell me the small size which I offered to pay for. Then the server comes back and takes my check before I finished completing it. Wished I hadn’t come here at all tonight. I love eating out at restaurants and giving good reviews. So dissatisfied with this experience, will find a new Thai spot and never again come back to this one.
As an expert food critic, I’m very sad to say, I have yet to find a great restaurant in the Bowie, Gambrills, Upper Marlboro areas….the food at this restaurant was horrible at best. I had the lamb two ways and it tasted like mushy baby food…it was gross. The lamb was more like some kind of thin sliced beef, like what is used in Mongolian beef dishes…I doubt it was actually lamb, as I have had lamb many times and prepare it.
I decided to give the dessert a try since they had my favorite dessert creme’ brûlée…boy what another disappointment. It was not a custard no vanilla bean as stated in the description…it was in a tin foil pan like it was just pulled out the freezer…the consistency was soupy and had an orange color to it not a creme’ brûlée at all. I spent over $40.00 for a trash meal, and wasted time I can never get back, on a lackluster dining experience. I do not recommend.
The food here is good. Pros…a lot of selections and prices are reasonable. The items our group ordered were tasty. We had the jacketed shrimp, Bangkok wings, Honey Shrimps, Beef Pad Ka Pow, and Shrimp Pad Ka Pow. Cons…main entrees came out simultaneously with appetizers. The person waiting on my table wasn’t familiar with the menu when asked basic questions and for recommendations. You also couldn’t substitute fried rice for steamed rice when ordering an entree, so if your preference is for fried rice your entree would come with steamed rice and then you had to order a side of fried rice. To me that made no sense. We ended up with extra rice to take home. Overall we enjoyed our meal.
Beautiful establishment with great service and food. Start off with the duck roll. Pad see ew was very tasty as well.
Very tasty food!
Food is very tasty but they should put less sugar. Everything was too sweet.
Great Thai Food! Easy to hey a table! they are always busy, but great fast service. Make sure to try the chicken pad see ew!
My family and I absolutely love this place. I wish the picture did it justice because they serve THE BEST YELLOW CURRY EVER! I've eaten Thai food in about 100 restaurants and I was blown away by that dish. It looks like a regular yellow curry. But it tastes like curry in heaven. Everything else, fantastic. Love the pineapple fried rice, pad Thai, chicken satay, larb, and super spicy green papaya salad. Not cheap. But very, very good.
Not bad. Lady at front desk was not so polite. Food was B grade. Ambience C-
Placed order online for pickup at 1700. Arrived and the woman at the front desk said there was no order under our name. She asked for my phone number. I told her we were staying in a hotel and that I didn't know their number. They finally found it in the kitchen. Food was too spicy and I was charged a $6 tip. Why??? Who was I tipping and for what??? No going back
We were served a drink with a large cockroach floating inside. Lost appetite and left. This establishment requires a visit and oversight from the Health Dept., immediately.
Food is always good. Love the street noodles.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! The food. The service. The atmosphere. They just can't go wrong! Y'all..They had Ashanti playing. A lil Mary J. They were playing all the throwbacks. I was dancing in the booth reminiscing to sticking a band-aid under my eye and wondering why Kelly was using Excel to text Nelly.
Now the food! Everything was immaculate. My food came out piping hot and every bite made me want to sing to the heavens. The R&B hits heaven if we're being specific. The drinks were on point. Just the right amount of liquor to make you feel good but not have you dancing on tables singing living la vida loca.
Our waiter was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Even let us swallow our first few bites before asking about the food.
Y'all better come get you some of this Thai food!
I drive 40 mins for this! Best Thai in Maryland for sure. Check them out!
Really good flavors. Closer to more authentic Thai foods. The pad Thai is not overly sweet which is how it supposed to be. Fried rice is delicious.
It’s quite expensive but the portion is large.
Excellent, tasty food but mediocre service. We had to practically shout to get server to return for additional order. Also had to get up to find her to order dessert. Water refill not offered.
Excellent food! We truly enjoyed our dinner.
Ordered the seafood fried rice with an addition of tofu. Rice was well-seasoned, moist and you get a portion that can feed at least two people. The spring rolls (4 total) were really good as well. Fast service, convenient location and most important, tasty food!
For the most part, the food is decent to good. However, over the last few months every thing from service to the food has grown increasingly inconsistent. What remains relatively consistent is the increase in pricing and the decrease in size & value. My most recent order of wonton soup was filled with cabbage and 3 unraveling wontons. My $23+ entree special was so empty I was able to count the 3 pieces of veggies, the amount of protein and add the entire container of provide rice and still have room for more rice. And when we called in the inquire and inform them we were met with what basically was an “okie anddd”. We generally do not order so early in the week but we have noticed quality seems to be slightly better towards the end of the week and dining in.
We were seated very quickly as the restaurant wasn't that busy.
Our group ordered a Tom Yum soup, Wonton soup, steamed dumplings, curry puffs, drunken noodles with shrimp, crabmeat fried rice, and a beef fried rice.
The steamed dumplings were piping hot, filled to the brim with meat; the puffs were favored by the rest of my table, but I thought they were just ok. If you've ever had samosas, it's very similar. The Tom Yum soup had a pretty good depth of flavor, with just the right amount of sour to spice, and substantial amounts of mushroom and shrimp for texture. The Wonton soup was also good - it came with plentiful wontons, and the broth was quite refreshing, although nothing extraordinary.
Of the three entrees, the crabmeat fried rice was the table favorite; it wasn't necessarily "loaded" with crabmeat, but rather had thin shreds of it dispersed throughout the rice, leading to a bit of heterogeneity and difference in texture in each bite.
We finished with desserts, of which we ordered a tiramisu and sticky rice with mango ice cream (as they were unfortunately out of actual mangoes, so we just opted for the ice cream instead). Both were alright, nothing spectacular but pretty nice after a meal. My grandma was satisfied, so it'll get an automatic 5.

I have been going to Thai at Waugh chapel since it was first opened, I know all the staff, however I went in there today and they have a new lady at the reception, she refused to seat me outside even though I told her we did not want to sit inside. She left us standing there until I finally went to the bar and spoke to another staff who said she could seat me outside, however my party and I were left sitting outside with no help so we left. This is my first time seeing this lady and experiencing such rude customer service at Thai, she was so bossy and adamant about not seating us outside for no reason and when the other staff at the bar offered to seat us outside she quickly went to confront her. Please take your business somewhere you’ll be valued, this is not how to treat customers who support your business
Food it delish!! service can vary depending on how busy it is.
Customer service was great, Food was a 10/10 the place is very pretty aswell as the area
Everything was a 10/10. I'm SOOO glad I went here! They had bubble tea (Yummm!) and service from ordering food to getting it had never been quicker before in my life! I totally recommend choosing Thai at Waugh Chapel for a night out! :)
This place has the best pad Thai in the area. Boba and strawberry lemonade are a must. Be careful getting things with moderate heat levels. They like it hot here, and I could barely finish mine at medium heat. Chicken wings and crab Rangoon were amazing.
Delivery took forever and food was cold!
I placed an order for delivery for 2 chicken pad thai’s and an order of crab rangoons at 6:20 pm and didn’t receive my order until 8:20 pm. Delivery said an hour. I called the restaurant after 70 minutes to check in on the order and the lady said the delivery person was on the way. We live less than 10 minutes away and it didn’t come, so I called again 25 minutes later and the manager said the delivery person was four minutes away. We waited another 25 minutes until our food finally got delivered at 8:20 pm. AND OUR FOOD WAS COLD!! The crab rangoons were soggy and not good and we had to microwave the pad thai.
Over 2 hours for a small order and the fact that it was cold is ridiculous! Won’t be ordering from here again.
Decent food but HORRIBLE delivery, they might be the most incompetent staff I have ever encountered
A very good Thai restaurant. If you like spicy, they have it. It's also not too spicy. Every menu option has all the ingredients listed, so you always know what you're going to get.
The food tastes as good as it looks, and they are very good at their presentation.
The staff was very friendly and came by as frequently as we needed yo refill water or take back used plates.
Overall a very enjoyable experience with good food that was well presented.
Good food. Their Ginger beef was very good. I can't eat spicy food. It was not spicy with good flavors. Service was very good too.
Always clean and food is amazing. The spring rolls are amazing. I enjoy the lemon chicken. Super friendly and nice staff.
Good standard Thai food. Keeps changing management
This is my go-to Thai spot on occasion; I usually get the fried rice, which is always excellent; this time I tried the Thai Chicken soup, which consisted of noodles, pees, sprouts, chicken, and chives; it lacked flavor; I was expecting a plum sauce taste, but it tasted more like a lightly seasoned broth; I was also disappointed with the lack of table seasoning provided; however, the price and service were excellent.
Great food and wonderful customer service.
Not the same anymore.... prices are much higher with lower quality ingredients
