I had high hopes for Ruby Tai! I walked by a couple of times and saw the variety of proteins and thought it could be an alternative to Panda Express. I was wrong...The only positive I can come up with is that they give you a lot of food...I got the bang bang shrimp and lemon pepper chicken. Neither of them were as crispy as they looked in the pan and neither of them were flavorful. If something is going to be soggy, it better have some sauce on it. Instead these were dry and soggy. I might try something else before I give up on this place but it’s not looking good...If I wasn’t so hungry I would have stopped eating sooner and threw it away.
Shockingly good mall food w/veggie options. Not Thai, but Asian fusion. Had the curry mei fun, green beans & tofu. With a soda, total 14.50. Large portion, too much for lunch, probably 1.5 servings (I ate it like a glutton & am sleepy now). Tasted fresh & flavorful. Note- mei fun not vegan- contains eggs.
This location has the problem of giving very small portions. I have also witnessed 2 people paying the same amount getting very different portions. Stopped going here because I was not getting value for the price.
Love Ruby Thai! You can get half rice, half vegetables as your base. My favorite is the beef dish. They used to have really great eggplant, but I haven't seen that lately.
I've been coming here for about 15 years. When they first opened they would make me a fresh vegan option in addition to the tofu eggplant and I would visit at least once a week. I have noticed the changes over the years but have still supported. As of late, they are extremely stingy and rude. I have seen the same faces for 5-7 years and it seems to be a different environment. They serve as little as possible (especially with the tofu orders), and lack a great amount of customer service. I will not be supporting again until they are under new management, which will hopefully be soon!
Even though it says Thai , there is no taste of Thai food in their dishes , especially fried rice ! Horrible taste and no flavor ! Disappointed!!!!

came back here, first time in a while, this time was better. Less oil was used

Tasty food

Greasy, tasteless and gross

Rude sever refused to allow me to taste a sample although he was giving samples out. He said because I don’t buy which is not true. I live near the mall and frequent the mall often. I eat at the eateries often, including this one. The sever was very disrespectful and nasty. I would suggest trying the other friendlier and more tasty eateries in the mall. Thanks!
Rice had no flavor, and the teriyaki had no Seasoning
yum😋. amazing food🍝. my fav 😻 place in the mall. the people are VERYY NICE ☺️!! they ask you again to see if they are putting the right thing!! veryyyyyyy goodddd place. best place. EAT. FROM. RUBY. THAI. KITCHEN. ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️❤️
Thai = spicy. Ruby Thai Kitchen is definitely not spicy. Salt, but not heat.
$1. For the cup for water.
This place is horrible I would never give them my business I came there to buy something for my daughter which asked me to stop and pick her up something I asked for a taste of something and he say sorry no sample bang bang shrimp I proceeded to tell him no problem he will never get my business lucky this is for my daughter. Just nasty as if I ask them for a whole lobster.
I ordered 4 meals and all of them were bad, my Mango chicken didn’t have any Mango sauce just dry chicken. The containers were 3/4 full and I’m extremely unhappy with the service. My family has been going there for a few years and our last two experiences have been terrible! We will be going next door to the Bourbon chicken place from now on
The food here is magnificent. I got noodles with the orange chicken. The orange chicken was a little sweeter than I hoped, but still this is a pretty good restaurant.
The food was hor-ri-ble!
Good food
I love their food, especially their mango chicken. One of my favorite places to go for Asian cuisine. Its good food, good service and cheap prices!
Chicken and rice were done to perfection. Delicious and decently priced.
I am not eating gluten and wanted some good food. I was given a chicken sample which was VERY good (hot, flavorful). I settled for the rice noodles (saffron or curry?) and the spicy Thai chicken with vegetables. It was delicious. Lots of food which I could have taken 1/2 home...but I ate it all! Cheaper than all the other places in the food court and there were a few gluten-free options I could have chosen. I’ll be back!
Food was great. Patient servers
Food was tasty
I love the food, is great
Food is so good and service is wonderful
I love these guys. Large amount of food for a reasonable price, almost 3/4 of a chipotle burrito for the same volume of food. Love the lemon pepper chicken.
My first time going here, i ordered the shrimp ramen, it was absolutely delicious, so much food for your money! I was so sad I had to throw the rest away because I couldn't even finish it all
The food is amazing and good service.
Gave my granddaughter 6 pieces of chicken. And then said she ate it. Horrible service

I was at the Ruby Thai Kitchen yesterday the restaurant in the food court. Once my daughter and I placed orders for our food he boxed the food up and walked it to the register. As I was pulling my wallet out to pay I see something out the corner or my eye and as I get a closer look its two roaches crawling across the counter I couldn't believe it. I quickly told her I didn't want the food and walked off. I called customer service and reported it. If you eat their, eat at your own risk. On top of that the employees were very rude.
I recommend the bang bang chicken and the pad Thai noodles. Both items are flavorful and filling! As far as mall food courts go, I think this particular establishment is definitely work the money.
This is my new favorite place to eat when I go to the small or the school down the road, it's cheaper, and tastes better than most of the others places in the mall and the staff are nice, not to mention you can get damn near 2 meals with about $8
The food was horrible,the rice,was old,not good,I don't recommend
Ate here yesterday and the food made my husband very sick!! He had the bang bang chicken. I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here.
love pad thai and chicken chicken
I've been familiar with this place for years. It's your standard chinese fast food with some Thai food mixed in there. It's your lowest tier, so don't expect the cuisin to be anything special or premium but sometimes the lowest tier is good enough. The noodles are tasty, the meat is juicy. The only areas of improvement would be the demeanor of the staff and the dryness of some of the meat offered sometimes. The staff can seem averse to giving samples and cold to you throughout the whole process.
I have taken my daughter to this Ruby Thai Kitchen place in the mall a few times just because she likes Thai food in general. But today is the last time I’m getting anything from this crappy existence. The noodles are very SALTY. Then again, so are other fried craps at this place.
The (owner?) cashier lady kept arguing about how she ‘got it all right’ when I noticed and cordially addressed that the Combo One I ordered today was exceptionally in small portion in comparison to other usual previous visits. The employees have rather ‘I don’t care’ attitude and aren’t too nice either.
This joint happens to receive a lot of foot traffic because it is in popular Mall in Columbia. But I doubt it gets many repeat customers.
Bad bad bad. They serve noodles that tasted like plastic.
I love Chinese food , Japanese food, Vietnamese food but this Thai kitchen tops them all. This was a great choice for me ,I enjoyed every bite . The bang bang shrimp with bbq spicy chicken and noodles . I give them a 10 star review!
I was pleasantly surprised when I was offered a sample of their chicken. I ended up getting a double order and left very happy. If you like we'll made food and aren't afraid of the word Thai (it's not strange food don't be scared!) Then you should really try this Jem.
The food is exactly what you expect from a food court, if you get there when it's fresh it's really good, if you get there late not so good.
Their most popular is the mango chicken which is good, but the Thai BBQ chicken and lemon pepper chicken is better.
The spicy Thai BBQ is only alright a lot of times it takes only like red pepper flakes
They don't actually serve Thai food.
Good stuff
Good food, good prices friendly staff. Recommend the eggplant with tofu, mango chicken and bang bang chicken with pad thai.
Twice I ate at this place and the food made me very sick. After eating the Thai fish and the Pad Thai with shrimp, I felt very dizzy. I drank some water and tried to shake it off. However, two hours later when I got home, I began to feel extensive pain in my stomach. I bent over holding my stomach and ran to the restroom where I threw up everything I ate at the Ruby Thai Kitchen in Columbia Mall. I will be making a complaint to the Mall to let them know about this place so someone can investigate this problem. I'm there are others out there who have had stomach problems after eating at the Thai Kitchen in Columbia Mall. Please complain tot he Mall and let them know there is an on-going problem before someone is killed by this food. Patrons in the Mall, please beware of eating anything from this place if you are concerned about food poisoning.
