I've been to Thailand twice and it feels like these foods taken me aback.

Will definitely visit this restaurant every once in a while. A nice place to taste the authentic taste of Thailand. 🇹🇭

Good Thai food, decent amount of veggies in each dish. Pud se eiw dish tasted different than I'm used to, but still good and the noodles were spot on. Black fried rice was delicious!

Did not feel really welcomed here. As someone that was coming in based off the stellar reviews I saw online I was extremely disappointed. I ordered a spring roll, Thai iced tea and chicken pad Thai. The best thing was the Thai iced tea and spring roll. While waiting for my food I kept hearing the microwave go off. I knew that couldn’t be a good sign. Not sure if it was leftovers or what but the pad Thai was like none I’ve ever had and not in a good way. I was going to go to my regular spot in Towson but I wanted to give this place a shot and I quickly regretted my decision. The Pad Thai was very dark and not sure if it was egg but something was burnt. Will not be back. I gave three stars to the atmosphere due to the beautiful plants that filled the restaurant.

First time getting food from this restaurant and will definitely come back. We got tom yum, vegetable curry puffs, tofu drunken noodles and pad kraprow chicken. Everything was great and the portions were good. Five stars.

This restaurant is a good local Thai restaurant the food is nice and traditional family owned like most little walk in restaurants. The drunken noodles are very good and so is the yellow curry and chicken satay however their is not as much sugar in the food as most Thai restaurants so if you like more sweet foods I would probably recommended the sweet and sour.

Newly renovated on the interior. Awesome job turning this place into one of the nicest dining/carry out place around the neighborhood. Family run, food is still great as usual. If you like authentic Thai food taste, this is a place to come. Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are a must try!!

Update: December 2019 - After closing down for a while for the owner to fix the building, the long wait is over!! Chokchai Thai Food is back and even busier than before! I though don’t mind the little longer wait since I know they put a good effort to make me a nice meal.

The flavor is there. But portions small. We ordered a delivery, is it possible that portions are better if eating at the restaurant? Too little meat, too many onions and other fillers. The spice level was on point, just as expected.

The Kaprow Gai Kai Dow was phenomenal! I was enamored with this dish and would definitely love to consider getting this when I'm in the mood for Thai style cuisine! Hopefully an option gets added (in the recommendations section) to recommend this dish too.

The drunken noodle was a unique experience, but tasty as well. Definitely will be considering another visit here to try out more menu options!

By far, the best Thai food in the Baltimore area !! It is a Family owned businesses and they are very hard working and friendly.

My favorite hidden gem and favorite Thai spot! The pad see ew is scrumptious and while plenty of places made pad Thai well, not every place can make a good pad see ew which is my favorite dish!

Website says they're closed til October. I hope this is true. this is my favorite place in the area!

Excellent Thai food the pad Thai was to die for. It’s my go to place when I go to Baltimore.

Okay so hear me out, the location isn’t great and parking is kind of terrible but the food is really good and the price point is awesome. I like that the food is consistent. You get exactly what you anticipate when you come here. Great carry out spot for sure.

My first time ordering here and it was take out but I agree, the Pad Thai is the best I have ever had!! The chicken coconut soup is absolutely amazing and the chicken stir fried chilli peppers was inhaled by my son, the appetizers were a hit dumplings and spring rolls, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back and order something new!!

The curry puffs are awesome! The ambiance needs some work but the service is usually great and the place is clean.

It's so nice to be able to sit in a space with a nice breeze through an open window with delicious food that is served piping hot. This place is such a jewel. I am so glad I found it and will enjoy it regularly! The prices are reasonable, the portions generous, the atmosphere casual and friendly. Win win win!

We placed an order for carry out. The staff was very rude and they included a staff tip to our tab , and didn’t disclose it until after we we’re picking up the food.

Drunken noodles Extra Hot. So good you have to like spicy food for this dish. Red curry and Pad Thai excellent classic dishes. Everyone should try this place once. Lots of options. Fresh Authentic Thai Food. Family owned business. Worth the trip. Definitely worth the money.

I ordered the Pad See Ew, and it had an awful after-taste as if it were old left overs. The Pad Thai that I ordered, wasn't as bad, but still poor quality. After a few bites of each, I threw the rest away. I tried Thai food for the 1st time earlier this week at this incredible carry-out restuarant in Odenton, MD and fell in love with the food; I was hoping to have the same experience here, but not even close. Very disappointed, especially after paying over $45.

The tastiest Thai carryout in the area. I’ve been going here for about 15 years.

I've had the Drunken Noodles sticking rice with mango and the drink it was pretty good

Got take out from here as they are not allowing dine in at the moment. Staff was very helpful and pleasant and the menu had the dishes my friend and I were looking for, plus some appetizers (veggie curry puffs) that I had not seen before. The location itself is not fancy but our food was surely delicious!!! Massaman curry was very tasty and the veggies in it tasted very fresh and were cooked just right. The veggie curry puffs were really good too.

Definitely not a taste of authentic Thai food. Very oily and not spicy at all. No flavor at all. Very disappointed. Sign outside says MUST wear a mask however, people were going in and out without mask.

The Tom Yum soup had no flavor and literally was chicken broth mixed with chicken pieces and some corn. The Thai green curry with shrimp had no taste. The Spicy Thai basil was just okay. The drunken noodles were okay.

This might be considered as a good spot for the Baltimore area, but wow you have no idea what you are missing out on. There are some way tastier Thai food restaurants around Maryland.

Such good food here. I've only had curbside carry out, so can't comment on the atmosphere. Good options for vegetarians, and gluten free. The chive dumplings are amazing, when the chives are in season.

When you are visiting for the first time in a new city, correct location and hours of operation are super important. Called before showing up and at 9:20 pm, they had all the doors closed and were cleaning. It states and they stated open until 10 pm. The most accurate up to date information is essential.

Food was hot, good portion, besides the red in the duck, it was delicious. Will come back.

I ordered the shrimp pad thai and my daughter had the chicken pad thai. The noodles are absolutely delicious! My daughter is super picky when it comes to food and in her opinion these are the best tasting noodles. Only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because I've had better tasting shrimp at other restaurants and I feel it is a little pricey. However, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out if you don't mind paying a little more.

Thai tea was watered down and the food was greasy

Food took a while to be ready, however, it was very delicious!!! Just the quantity that was less than what we expected... but overall quality of food was good.

I HIGHLY recommend this thai restaurant. I was passing through this neighborhood looking at removing a honeybee colony and saw Chokchai and decided to check it out. I ordered several dishes for my wife and I to try...WOW the food was really good with wonderful taste and perfect amount of spiciness. The chicken satay and homemade dumplings are a must. Fish curry and Pad see-ew made our taste buds jump for joy. A seriously good meal and worth every penny. ENJOY in good health.

I cannot believe I lived 5 minutes away from this amazing restaurant. Clean, modern interior with amazing service....and the food is to die for. I cannot recommend them enough! Give them a try, you wont be disappointed!!!

Cozy neighborhood spot with great food!

Best Thai food I've had! The pad Thai is outstanding, as are the homemade dumplings (and that sauce!) The coconut soup is superb. Always a great meal, whether dine in or carryout!

My wife and I have been getting Chok Chai ever since we moved into the neighborhood over 3 years ago. There thai food is the BEST around Baltimore and anywhere else in the US we have tried for that matter. Yes, better than Spice & Dice by far. There is a reason why Chok Chai is our go to cheat day food!

I've had much better Thai food. Compared to the Thai food places closer to downtown, there's no comparison. The vegetable fried rice had a few pieces of soggy frozen vegetables and should have been $5, not the $11 I paid. The drunken noodles was okay but not amazing and half of the container was white rice. Sorry, I really wanted to like this place but won't be going again.

A small but delicious restaurant. I went on a whim one day and I am SO glad I did! The food is plated so well you'd expect it to be more expensive, but it's very affordable and incredibly tasty. Togo orders are also done super quickly!

Great, inexpensive Thai food. It's a simple mom and pop kind of restaurant, just a little hole in the wall so nothing fancy. Parking is difficult so walk if you can or order carry out. All in all a great, easily missed place for Thai food.

Fantastic meal

One of my favorite places to order out from in the Parkville area. I often go here for lunch since my work is right up the street, but occasionally my husband and I will order out for dinner as well. My favorites are the Yum Woon Sen, Black Fried Rice and Brown Fried Rice... my husband loves their curries and the extra spicy Drunken Noodle. They also have excellent spring rolls that come with their lunch specials.
Seating is limited, so unless you're coming at lunch, I'd recommend ordering for pickup. The staff is always friendly when I call in to order. Love Chok Chai!!
