Low-key, simple outpost for Thai comfort food like curries, noodle stir-fries & fried rice.
The food is absolutely amazing here and the service is wonderful! You can tell the food is homemade with love! Highly suggest getting the yellow curry with crispy chicken, the heart rice was super cute! The chicken satay and golden bags were amazing! The prices were amazing for the giant food portions you get! We will be coming back whenever we can! ✨
This was the most delicious food we’ve had in a long time. Definitely cooked with love, and appreciation for flavor. Would recommend to anyone, feel lucky we found it!! Thank you to all who work there!! Can’t wait to go again!
The food was amazing. We all shared, so got to try samples of 6 different dishes and 2 types of Sake. The person waiting on us was friendly and funny, he was great. I got the feeling that he was owner/manager type deal that does all the upfront stuff, including waiting tables. I definitely recommend trying those place !
The food and service are ALWAYS the best. The Sriracha spicy chili flat noodles with veggies are my favorite. ( similar to drunken noodles but better and spicier) I always get the #5 for spice, & it's perfect, with plenty of heat! You have your choice of meat with the dish if you want it. My favorite appetizers are tempora chicken fingers and crab Rangoon, but all the appetizers are delicious!. They have specials all the time also. You won't be disappointed.
It's a cozy place, and the duck curry was good, the meat was adequately spiced and had a little crisp to it. I went with my friend, and they shaped the rice into hearts which I'm not sure if you go with your buddies if they'll do that but it's worth a try.
And they bring out a garlic clear broth with cabbage and rice noodles in it. Pretty good stuff, pretty garlick-y.
They'll ask you what your spice preference is, I got a 3, and it's totally fine, could've gotten a 5. 3 I could still taste the food, so you know it wasn't hot enough.
Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) is my favorite Thai dish, and Thai in general is my favorite food. I'm spoiled, as I live in a town with a ton of amazing, authentic South Asian food due to it being a refugee city during and after Vietnam.
I tried tell of my favorites, Pad Kee Mao and green curry, and an interesting sounding house special called imperial noodles.
The imperial noodles were pretty darn good. The curry was highly acceptable. The "drunken noodle" was... Highly edible, good even, but it was not remotely Pad Kee Mao.
My biggest issue was the serving sizes. The noodle dishes were just *tiny.* The curry was average size for take out, though. I included pictures, and as you can see the noodle dishes are in small, shallow, paper boxes barely bigger than my hand, for $11-18.00 depending on your protein choice.
Idk. I will probably try dining in to see what the portions are like. The food was pretty good, if a little different than I expected.

Not really a Thai restaurant - their pad see ew had the wrong noodles and the sauce was off. They also swapped the spice level of the two dishes I ordered, which is just plain dangerous, and put all the spice in a single pile so it was kind of impossible to spread throughout. A sad excuse for Thai food.
Such a wonderful place.
We go there often and go out of our way to do so.
If you're looking for a hidden gem, this Thai restaurant is it! The Peanut Pad Thai here is nothing short of spectacular—I order it every time, without fail. The gentleman who I believe owns the place is an absolute delight: friendly, polite, and incredibly welcoming.
Sure, the place looks a bit small and run-down at first glance, but don't let that fool you. The food is top-notch and the prices won't break the bank. Despite its humble appearance, this spot delivers big on flavor and hospitality.
Highly recommend giving it a try! 🌟🍜
11/10 experience, food, and impeccable service! Thank you Red Curry!!!
amazing service and food , loved the complimentary soup and chocolates😍😍
Never had such a bad Thai food. No flavor everything is bland.
Do not just think about going to this restaurant, GO now! The menu is huge and the food is delicious! I encourage you to dine in-- the owner is so kind and will take great care to make your meal the best!!!! Enjoy!
Big menu, Great food at great prices and really nice people!
Great place to eat. Was in town working for 4 weeks and ate here several times a week. Owner is one of the nicest man I have met. Food was perfect every time and very generous portions.
Delicious, as always... this has been our favorite place, consistently for many years now.
very yummy food! everything we ordered was great and very timely, the mango sticky rice was also great -- reminded me of my time in Thailand. The service was also amazing, nothing but good things to say :) Will be back when I'm in Augusta
Amazing food and service. Kids loved it. 😀
We came in around 2 pm for lunch. They were very hospitable and lunch was prepared very quick and it was very good
It is a quaint little place with lots of yummy food. The waiter was attentive and patient as I asked questions about the dishes. The chicken pad thai and the dumplings were delicious.
Delicious low cost well prepared vegetarian options in a sea of lobster shacks! Loved my avocado massaman curry. Mild, but very tasty.
Lovely place, the food tasted fantastic, the employee when we came in was friendly and hard working. Great flavours for a really reasonable price
We eat a lot of Thai because it offers many gluten free options. This was okay, not great by any means. Mango rice had very little flavor and the wings were coated with a batter and fried which wasn't good at all. Crispy rolls were frozen , not fresh like we get from our favorite close to home Thai restaurant.

I am coming to this Restaurant from many years. Food was always good. But today I order Red curry and chicken fried rice ,both the order was horrible. May be they have a new chef.
We've been ordering Red Currys food since we moved to Sidney last October. We've been to numerous Thai Restaurants from Boston to Portsmouth NH. Red Curry is by far superior over those. Their Yaki Soba with chicken and beef fried rice are unbelievable.
One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to and I've been to many all across the US. Very friendly staff, amazing food, and nice and quiet atmosphere. Don't miss out on this place. You won't regret it. I've been several times now and everything I've gotten has been better than the last. My 5 year old agrees. He loves the rice comes as a heart on the plate.
Food and experience was great, authentic taste and wide range of options to choose.
I tried everyone's dish and everyone's dish was excellent -Felicity
Highly recommend
What a great recommendation! We have a friend that referred us to this place. Not disappointed. Glass noodle soup to start to cleanse your palet! Appetizer of crab rangoons and crying dragon ( incredible) ordered another bowl of soup and chicken fried rice to share. Ended the meal with chicken fried spring roll. Had allagash white and fuki sake for drinks. Great job! Can't wait to go back
When I'm asked by friends where a good place to go for food in Augusta, Red Curry is always one of the top recommendations. It seems like people never hear of this place, and that stuns me cause everything I've had here is so good!
Augusta has a couple of Thai restaurants, all of them are good, but please give this hidden gem a try. The gentleman that runs the front end is very nice and polite, which makes returning a lot more desirable with excellent staff. I enjoyed everything that I tried here, especially the curry (surprised?).
Red, green, mango, and especially the jungle curry 🤤 The levels of spiciness (1 to 5) certainly adds the heat, but it's still tasty. Some places I have been to, the food is entire hot, difficult for other flavors to come through--- but not here. It's very well balanced, the taste is there, the heat comes, and then the taste is there again. As a bonus, the rice is presented in the shape of a heart or star, it's cute!
They start your meal with a small, simple soup. I love it. With everyone I take there all of us finish it off quickly. The drinks of Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee are excellent. It does not matter how late I go there for dinner, I am getting one or the other.
I love this place. I hope whoever runs this place likes doing so, because I will keep returning for a very long time (and I'll keep bring friends)!!
Love it here! Best Thai food in the area. It's a hidden gem! The Avocado curry is amazing! I have it almost every week!
The food is beautifully presented and served with a smile. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Our favorite restaurant for lunch!
I absolutely love this place. Great food, great service and reasonably priced. I will come here regularly now.
The staff work very hard to provide good service and a cozy atmosphere!!
Very homey food, easy on the stomach. Feels like you’re sitting down at a well worn friends home for a dinner.
Alright! So here we go!
This is my second visit to Red Curry, giving appropriate opportunity to wow me and I'm left wondering where that review score came from.
Order:
Sweet potato Maki x2
Avacado Maki
Spicy Spider Roll
California Roll
Orange chicken
Dumpling
Yaki Udon with chicken
The Maki's and sushi were all uninspired, perhaps quality suffered due to not being eaten right away, but after having had similar circumstances numerous times for other Suishi spots, I can only give so much leniency.
There was barely any wasabi and pickled ginger in the packages, leaving to rush to Google if there was a national Wasabi ingredient shortage...there wasn't and the wasabi that WAS there, definitely came out of a tube.
The orange chicken was just chicken katsu, lazily tossed in an orange sauce, and again, quality may have suffered due to not eating right away, but with the amount of sauce in the package, I'm not entirely sure if it's to blame.
The dumplings were bland but the sauce provided paired perfectly.
The Yaki Udon is a bit too oily, even given the cooking conditions.
I'd give a 3.5 if I could but since it's either 3 or 4, it's a 3.
A great place to eat good food
Best pad thai I have had in a long time.
This is an adorable little place on the inside! Tucked away in a quiet area of Augusta so it feels like a cute and quiet place that’s perfect for date night! The food was delicious! We got a chicken pad Thai, an avocado unagi maki, spicy udon soup, and a taro boba tea. The only comment we had was that the udon noodles themselves were a little mushy. Other than that, the broth was delicious! Before this experience I was convinced I didn’t like tapioca bobas, only the popping ones but these bobas were soft and had a good bounce to them. We will absolutely be back again and loved all the food we picked up!
Favorite restaurant. Best Thai. Drive an hour just to eat here. Very friendly, fast, delicious. Every time. Thankyou!
Absolutely phenomenal food! We got takeout for our 2 year anniversary from here and wowowow it was so good, fully exceeded all expectations!!!! You will not regret ordering from here
The food is amazing definitely a place I'd return too.
They were so accommodating! We were exhausted, tired and ordered right on time! They then gave us tea and cookies as a kind gesture. They were so nice and inviting!
Food is amazing!! Truly not a single miss on the whole menu. Also great price and wonderful service. Overall I highly recommend.
Good fried rice. The kung pao chicken was salty and had almost no vegetables or sauce.
Incredible food, incredibly kind manager. Dumpling soup was delicious, broth expertly done. Kimchi was very flavorful, pork bulgogi was tender and well balanced. Will definitely be back, thank you for the wonderful evening!
Dirty, smelled musty, dingy food wasn't that great either. Only been 1x and never again ...
Just recently found this place. Been living in the area 35 years , how could I have missed it. Great food the owner is a gem. Love the atmosphere. Decent prices. I'm recommending this to all my friends.
Most hospitable dining experience I have had in a very long time. Very authentic food. Cooked with Loved and Intention. Boon the Server went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was unforgettable.
Ate here all week! Best food ever!
Tasty food but maybe not the best thai I've had. Very affordable prices. Everything was a bit greasy though.
Although I haven't been to "Red Curry" in recent weeks, I've been there many, many times. I've always preferred eating Thai food in the restaurant, as opposed to ordering it as takeout. The owners are very nice. Here are a few of the things I like on the menu:
1) Salmon Lover
2) Sea & Land
3) Green Curry
4) Panang Curry
5) Yellow Curry
w/Shrimp
6) Garlic & Pepper
7) Tom Kar Soup
8) Cashew Nuts
9) Volcano
w/chicken
The Tom Kar Soup as it appears on the menu, is more commonly known as Tom Kha Soup (Thai Coconut Soup) and it's delicious with chicken. I'd like to try their Bibimbap (a famous Korean dish) after seeing a photo of it with an egg on top on their website. I'd also like to try the Chicken Katsu after reading some positive reviews about it. They serve a very flavorful, healthful, clear broth soup before the main entree. I like their Thai tea. I think it's a blend of Thai and jasmine tea. Often, I order the fried ice cream which is traditionally served with a little honey in the bottom of the dish. He often gives me another cup of hot tea to go at no charge.
Love it great food
Some of the best Thai food around. 5/5 for me!
Fantastic little Thi/Korean restaurant. Had the Bulgogi, it was excellent. The veggies were fresh and crunchy, the BiBimBap and the crunchy pad thi were perfect too. Service was excellent. Portions were a reasonable single serve, so if you want lots of leftovers, get something to go. We will most certainly be back again.
Love this place. Established older true Asian restaurant/cuisine, popular bubble teas, HUGE menu, KEY is authenticity, not flashy, excellent choice of food choices-taking a friend this weekend!!! I overlooked this restaurant! Ashamed to say.
The bubble teas were good but we couldn't eat the food that was served to us. We took a few bites and stopped and went to a different restaurant. The ingredients were very low quality and didn't come close to matching the prices. The service was also very slow and we weren't greeted warmly. Very depressing place.
We had a wonderful lunch at Red Curry! The food was fresh, beautiful and very well prepared! Honestly can't wait to go back! They really know what they're doing and they care!
Moved to Maine just over a year ago... this little gem needs a shout of from the rooftops! Stumbled upon it yesterday. Still talking about it today. Food and service were amazing! So delicious and the 1st Asian restaurant in Maine that we left beyond satisfied! T.H.I.S. will be a do-over again and again.
It's a cozy place, and the duck curry was good, the meat was adequately spiced and had a little crisp to it. I went with my friend, and they shaped the rice into hearts which I'm not sure if you go with your buddies if they'll do that but it's worth a try.

Shumai and Avocado Curry; shumai was perfect, delicate and fresh tasting. We also had the Yellow Curry, with chicken also. Both entrees were excellent, light and full of subtle yet distinctive flavors. Who knew one of the best Thai food restaurants would be 550 miles from home!
We were looking for a restaurant that accommodates GF and vegetarian diets. Red Curry had several options, so we stopped there. Great food and great service!
Great place to eat authentic Asian food! Great service and atmosphere
Would love to order some food but the online menu has no descriptions and the labeling of the wheat ingredient symbol seems misapplied to some items and not applied to others that clearly have wheat. Without descriptions and misapplied symbols, gluten free can't order here.
The food was okay. Mostly filler lettuce in the Panang Curry with only a few green beans and broccoli and the sauce was very watery. Will not be back.
This place is a hidden treasure. The food was great and the service is spectacular. It’s not much to look at from the outside but don’t let that sway you. It is well worth it.
Great service and delicious food!
We ordered take out. Just the yellow curry. It was early in the afternoon so we were the only customers there at the time. The guy that waited on us was nice and he had our food ready within ten minutes. We asked for potato to be added and he did it. Heat level 3 is spicy but we loved it as many places lack on the heat. Very good dish!
Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) is my favorite Thai dish, and Thai in general is my favorite food. I'm spoiled, as I live in a town with a ton of amazing, authentic South Asian food due to it being a refugee city during and after Vietnam.

Best, most authentic Thai food ever!
This is my second experience with the delicious cuisine at Red Curry. I loved both dishes. With all Thai I always remember to say when I order "No fish or Oyster sauce please!" I absolutely love the quiet, friendly dining atmosphere. I can catch up on my paperwork or catch up with one of my beloved Augusta peeps. Boon the warm and friendly waiter is laid back and lets you enjoy your food. I can't say enough about this place. You will love it too!
Very dark inside, food was good but portions of individual "dinner" size items seemed on the small side. Bubble tea was about half the size I usually get at another place for the same price.
EVERY SINGLE DISH has been absolutely PHENOMENAL. The server is always extremely sweet and attentive. This is easily the best Thai food I have ever had- and I used to live in Dallas, where I’ve eaten at dozens of other Thai places! We only discovered this place about a month and a half ago and we’ve been back nearly every week since. There is someone with magic working in the kitchen. Prices are very fair and you get HUGE portions. We’ve made this place a staple in our restaurant picks. Love you guys 🥰
Great food. Drunken noodle is so good
LOVE this little place! One of the Best places in Augusta! The owner is so kind and the food is delicious!
Delishous 😁 is it very lit splee i ordered we now that we do not not remembering abigail had the thai grewn tea that tea is iced tea happy garbage in the baxknod the fore truck i was the star student ut the food went ronapill in my schools!! I love this place i love th dunken noodle too i rate this a 5
Enjoyed dinner. Circle table is the best spot.
good service, good food, good prices, great place.
This little gem is absolutely wonderful, both in house and to-go. Not only is the owner a fantastic human being and always so sweet and accommodating, but he remembers the people (like my wife and I) that show up all the time. I've never seen him without a smile on his face and his customer service is immaculate.
The food is also great. As someone who has ARD and likes spicy food in spite of it, the spicy level choices (from mild to 10) is such an awesome addition. My favorite is the Tom Yum noodle soup at a mild which is just the right spice for those of us who enjoy the flavor but can't necessary handle the heat that comes afterwards. The glass noodle soup is also a really good dish, especially with it's cold out.
All in all Red Curry and it's management are a great little Thai place to try if you're in the Augusta area for both it's quality food and the customer services, and I would highly recommend the Tom Yum Noodle soup.
Amazing Thai food! Always greeted by kind wait staff. Spice level is just perfect!
Rice flat noodles were mushy & almost nonexistent
Food and staff are always great. The chicken is never dry. This has become our default place to get food when we eat out. Highly recommend.
We stopped in on a whim based on the reviews. The server was extremely helpful and attentive. He brought additional rice as well as Chile paste and pepper flakes to spice up the dishes without being asked. The food was delicious! We got spring rolls, yellow curry duck, yakisoba, and Thai iced tea. We are not from the area but will stop by on our next trip to Augusta.
Very good and great variety.
Boon is so friendly and welcoming! They accommodated a fully vegan order and even helped us celebrate the new year with the gift of sake 😀 Will be coming again for the friendly service and vegan drunken noodles 🍜
An intimate place with amazing food!
The house looks old and not fancy at all. But the food is all that matters. On guy work there and it was just only him but he gave everyone his best service and run this place as the best as he could. The food is amazingly good. Price is great. And we got noodle soup for service. It just so good.
This is fine food . I have driven by to many times,I've been missing out.
My first time here. I wanted something different, not the usual meat-veggie-sauce-rice meal I usually get at an Asian restaurant. I chose Yellow Curry, which was like nothing I've ever had! So delicious, impossible to describe. I. Will. Be. Back!
Very yummy, they respect your spice preferences so be careful if you ask for it spicy.
Their crab ragoons are stuffed with twice as much as anywhere else!
The food was great and the service was even better.
The gentleman working there was so attentive and kept checking up on us. We arrived close to the closing time still he did not rush us with our order. Even after the last call, he checked in if we needed anything else. At the end of our meal he gave us suggestions on local attractions.
They gave us a complimentary soup to start off with. We ordered the Kow Soi, Red Curry with Crispy duck, Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Chicken. It was all full of flavour and had lots of vegetables.
We ordered hot and cold Thai tea, he asked us if we wanted refills(this is the first time I experienced this. The Thai tea was good. Even the Green Thai iced tea was very good.
They gave us Dum Dums candy complimentary when leaving the restaurant.
Great experience!
Always hot and delicious food!
We love red curry! First of all it is open later than the other Thai restaurants in Augusta but also the food is fresh and delicious. The flavors are great and the presentation if you sit down is really thoughtful and sweet (I mean the heart shaped rice molds, so cute) Also the mango sticky rice literally almost made us cry it was so good.
This use to be 4-5*place and I loved the owner... However looks like they got new staff. I got the chicken fingers(what I get normally) and chicken wings(trying new). My chicken fingers were almost entirely deep fried batter with shreds of chicken inside, the pieces in the picture were the THICKEST pieces .. the wings.. small for the price 8$ for 6 the meat(tiny bit) was good at least. They do offer a complementary clear broth soup though and their noodle dishes based on my companions meals were still up to par. (Peanut pad Thai I have a picture of)
Great food and even better prices.
Fantastic Thai food and such wonderful service. I've been multiple times now, and every time I go to the Augusta area I make sure to stop here to eat. There are not only authentic Thai options, but even Korean as well if you want to change things up a bit. Very fresh food, very flavorful and very worth going!
This place is fantastic! Such a large and varied menu and the food is great!
Delicious
This food was not tasty, yet extremely expensive for the portions.
All of the food is bland and flavorless. We ordered a variety of food, The red curry was like eating rice with a side of cream.
I would not recommend this place, and will never go again.
Best chicken katsu I've ever had. Food comes out fast, fresh and delicious. Presentation is thoughtful, lots of heart shaped dishes. The owner is also the server and is very courteous.
One note - the bathroom is clean but needs some new appliances and the air fresheners are very strong. I might recommend taking care of your business elsewhere before going to Red Curry.
I have never been there before but The food there was absolutely amazing, Along with the attentive service. If you haven’t been you must go. Mmmmm
My family is not from this area we were just passed by on our way to get to our hotel. Searched for Asian restaurants and this is was the high stars that’s open at that day. The place looks ok and small, honestly we were not sure about eating here but we decided to give it a try.
They gave us small cup of warm soup for complimentary before start of our meal (that was nice gesture).
My son had drunken noodles, my husband had Indonesian fried rice and I had red curry with duck, appetizer was chicken satay and my drink was taro boba tea.
Ok so from our family opinion about food, is not authentic like we have at our hometown (New Jersey/Pennsylvania).
I’m originally from Indonesia and when I tried my husband Indonesian fried rice definitely the taste far out from it the only thing is similar is the eggs and the sliced cucumbers on the side. My son drunken noodles also had different seasonings. My red curry was ok. The taro boba tea was a bit too sweet and some what watery but the tapioca was good. The server (probably the owner) he was really friendly guy. Also their prices was really reasonable.
Overall the food we had is eatable especially we were hungry so we pretty much will eat anything 😆 even tho wasn’t authentic Thai flavor.
We went here because of the great reviews, and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, the owners were super nice, the prices were very reasonable, and I loved how they packaged the leftovers. I will definitely be back with friends and family the next time we're in the Augusta area!
Nice clean place. Food was good.
The Golden Bags and Drunken Noodles were awesome!
Had red curry. Good meal fresh vegetables.
My brother came into town from Phoenix. I wanted to show him a good restaurant here.
I mean other than ordering a chicken dish and getting a shrimp still one of the best pad thai I've ever had
Soooo good!!! Will be back soon
Everything was so good!!! It was reasonably priced and we got our food fast!
Food is incredible and service was terrific
Quaint and quiet little place with strange hours. Food was superb, though. I had the Volcano. Shame it was my first meal of the day so I couldn't finish it there. I was impressed with how well everything was packaged to take home. Will absolutely go again.
I absolutely LOVE coming here. It's a sweet little spot in Augusta Maine. Their menu offers delicious options that are also pretty healthy too! My go-to order is always their yellow curry. It's sweet and delicious🤤🥰. The owners are very sweet and are welcoming as soon as you step into the door 🥰
Figured I would put my two cents in in case you're keeping track because I'd imagine I'm not the only one. Drove out of my way to come have lunch here but did not go inside because of the mask sign on the door. To each their own but I do not carry a mask with me for any reason. Food looks great too bad I couldn't try it.
Owner is very nice, foods Is absolutely always delicious. I don't go anywhere else in the augusta area.
The curry here is amazing! Loved the Volcano under the chef specials. Service was fantastic as well.
Gentleman who works here is the best part of this place. Super friendly, great food.
Love it. Good food, good prices, and plenty of food!
Made a quick stop for dinner and as a fan of thai food this place was a huge let down. The drunken noodles I ordered were soggy and the sauce also tasted funny. Never had such flavorless thai food which is a shame because thai food is supposed to be burst with flavors. No idea as to how this has 4.5 review.
Service was good and friendly staff.
Great food, really nice staff, worth the visit
Love, love, love this establishment... Friendly, fast, so fresh and as spicy as you ask for it. Exactly what you want when looking for the best red curry in the area. Yum. Make this a weekly stop for delicious food and kind service.
Great Kow Soi soup and friendly service, too!
Top notch personal service. Delicious real food. You have to try those exquisite, minuscule spicy tuna cupcakes. A treat for the eye and the tongue!
Tried basil fried rice. The food was delicious and perfect.
