Stopped in for a quick bowl of Pho after a doctor's appointment. This was my first time eating here. There was only one other person when I got there. I was seated promptly. Everything was nice and clean. I ordered spring rolls for an appetizer. They were very delicious and delivered hot and fresh! I also ordered Pho. It was very delicious. The broth was amazing. The only complaint would be that I like more options for the plate of herbs, beansprouts. I know these vary with each restaurant, but I do like it when they offer more variety. My server was very nice, and constantly checked to see that everything was to my satisfaction.

Husband had Triple Delight,, shrimp, scallop, and beef and served with fried(or white) rice. I had the spicy beef and pork Pho. Will definitely be going again and bringing family and friends.

First time here and glad we stopped in! Nice selection of Thai, Viet and american Chinese dishes.
Food was delivered quickly and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Bean shoots were crunchy, thai basil was freshly picked. Meats were delicious.

We sampled the summer rolls which were amazing and even the traditional peanut sauce was authentic. The Pho was tangy and flavorful and I pounded down the Singapore noodles.

One of the best starters for us were the AMAZING pork and prawn yum-cha style steamed dumplings. Thought I was back in Hong Kong for a minute.

Server was amusing and friendly - EXCELLENT all-round experience. Even grabbed a couple more meals to take home to the 'ole wife. She LOVED the papaya salad BTW.

Went here after a friend let me try one of his summer rolls & it did not disappoint! The staff was super friendly & greeted me immediately upon entrance. All of my food was so good & flavorful. The serving sizes are awesome; I had enough to take some home & make a whole other meal out of it. The food was fresh & came quickly. Can’t wait to go back & try more; the menu is huge!

The egg foo young was good but the gravy that went didn't have much flavor and the rice was grainy.

Loved the food and my 6yr old loved the pad Thai with tofu

I ordered pho and waiting for more than 40 mins.
Food is not bad. But compare the time I wait for to go and the price. I will rather go other place.

This place has very good pho and some delicious Thai and Vietnamese dishes. The beef summer rolls with peanut hoisin sauce are also a very tasty appetizer. The beef pho and beef pho with meat balls have good flavor and the portion size is big. The pad se jew was a good size portion for the price and tasted great.
The homemade chili paste that is on the tables was something that looked scary and smelled hot, but was actually mild in spicyness and had tons of flavor to compliment a pho or other dish.
There is a good depth to the menu that I continue to look forward to exploring!

I have been searching for great Tom yum in the area (I'm from the west coast) and saw this spot in FB. It was great. All of the food was great. Will be back.

We love Lemongrass. They used to be at a different location and we thought they went out of business. We were thrilled to find them open in a new location. The food is amazing. Try the shrimp toast it’s a must have for us.

I've ordered from here about five times, and I am convinced that I do not like how they make their fried noodle dishes. They're always watery and the noodles are overcooked, too. I've yet to find a restaurant in this city that makes the Thai fried noodles like China Inn used to make at the UofL campus before they closed down. I'll have to continue my search elsewhere....

Chicken pho is my favorite. Would never think twice about where I get it, Lemongrass has it down.

This place isn't very clean and the service is painful, but the food is good. Depends on if youre willing to take that tradeoff or not. Don't come here if you're in a hurry.

I came in after church to order a sushi roll and summer roll. The gentleman that greeted me was clearly eating and had food crums around his mouth. Then proceeded to tell me the person to make sushi rolls is running late and will be there in a hour or so. So I ended up ordering just the summer roll. As I was waiting for my order I noticed a roach crawling up the Xmas decorations. I considered canceling my order but as I looked up he was handing me my food. The place is very lackluster and disheveled. Someone needs to take note of this. I’m sure the health department would like to take a visit. This was my first and last time there. I won’t be back.

Wonderful food and people

We've gone here 3x and I can't understand why no one is in there! Plenty of people come in to order takeout so I guess that's where they get most of their business. I definitely recommend the spring rolls, string bean meal, and tofu pad Thai if you're into those things. The restaurant is always clean and the man that always serves us is always singing and in a good mood. I love it here!

Tiny little cafe, with really good food! We loved both our dishes! Not an impressive dining area/atmosphere but that’s not what we were there for. Health inspection showing on the door is 100%.

My husband felt something crawling on his neck and hit his neck and then saw a roach on the table. He left and the employee proceeded to run and try to catch the roach. I don’t understand how they have an A score when their are roaches in here and based off some reviews from the last few months, it’s been happening for some time now. They need a better inspection. I wouldn’t eat here.

Usually, when I find a little spot I like that has good customer service and good food, I tend to eat there a few times a month. This was the case. I went 3 times in a short period of time. Sat at the same table, with the same guy waitress. Small place, connected to a store, few customers. The third time, after ordering appetizers,I noticed a roach crawling all over the condiments in the dish where the condiments was housed. We had seen a pepper dish the previous time, crushed peppers, but should be refrigerated. Hardly covered. I didnt use, so gave it no more attention. To think roaches crawled all in that and someone surely used it. GROSS. Disappointed I didn't see the bad reviews beforehand, but it explained his reaction. Not surprised, aknowledged it was a known issue...the kicker...No apology, empathy, nothing. Only him motioning/mocking his fingers like a spider, saying, "Yes, crawling on the condiments?" He was fully aware and didnt budge to clean the table, go see anything. Plenty of the reviews vouch for the fact they have been having them. Huge upset. Having no empathy of feeding those supporting your business in a clean and healthy environment. The 100 on the Door seems mearly impossible considering the store connected doesn't seem clean. Most likely the cause of the bug infestation.

Went out on date night and decided to eat here. It was close to closing but we already had an idea of what we wanted so it wouldn’t take long. We placed our order and food was out in record time. As we began eating, I noticed food still on my silverware that was wrapped in napkin so I asked for another one. As we began eating and half way through our meal, an adult size roach was crawling on the wall in the booth we were sitting at. As we notify the employee, he came over with a napkin and begin chasing the roach until he caught it. As we proceed to leave out, the employee started looking at us as if we were going to sit down and keep eating. We left our food on the table and left out. As we proceed outside we spot him talking to the other employees about the roach and they are laughing as if this is normal. We will never be back at this establishment. I attempted to take a picture but the wall and roach at the same color and I was trying to move my purse as well so you can’t see it.

I came in and sat at a table for 10 minutes without a menu or any real service. Someone else can in for take out and had his order taken within less than a minute of his coming in. I WILL NEVER GO BACK

This place has cockroaches! My wife and I were eating our food and saw two of them on the wall beside us.

Inside was not very clean when we visited, the matts at entryway would stick to your shoes, and there was litter on floor. While waiting for the order, we saw the guy who served the food touch everything in kitchen and then food without cleaning his hands. We boiled the soup what after we got home.

Best Vietnamese food in Louisville

Went here for the first time tonight and got some dishes to go. Really glad we checked it out. The food was very tasty and the staff were pleasant. The man who took our order was very friendly and have a bright personality. Totally made our visit enjoyable.

The food was very good, the staff was friendly enough and the food came out fairly quickly, but the water they gave us to drink was very dirty and had visible flakes of something swirling around in it. Something so visible and easily noticeable does not inspire confidence in the cleanliness of the rest of the restaurant that I'm not seeing.

Food is truly excellent. Sitting down to an actual vermicelli bowl is so much better than any styrofoam carryout container. In person dining is so well worth the time.

ROACHES!!!!!!!! Ordered 3 soups and a box of wontons from this place and the box they gave it to me in was infested with tiny baby cockroaches. Little buggers they looked like specs of pepper but pepper doesn’t move. Extremely disgusted and will never return to eat here. I’ve counted 5 I killed running around on my counter. DO NOT EAT FROM THIS PLACE unless you want to infest your house with roaches. Will be contacting the city health department about this.

Please do not eat here the food was horrible. The general tso chicken was by far the worst thing I've ever eaten they were drinking beer in between serving so the service wasn't great they were rude when we said it didn't taste right despite us being polite about it the prices didn't match the online prices the restaurant was dirty and when we asked about drinks the guy waiting on us pointed to the fridge and we had to get our own. The condiment containers were empty and to top it all off I was sick for days after eating there and I took one bite out of the aforementioned item and ate the steak item which tasted ok I can't remember the name of it.

Massaman curry was very starchy and bland. We ordered 1 mild and 1 medium curry but we could not tell a difference between the two dishes. Portion sizes were on the small side. We got fortune cookies but they were stale. Food was very hot and satisfied my hunger but was not the treat that Thai food normally is for my husband and I.

Idk if this updates the date of this review or not but as of October 2022, I am severely disappointed in what used to be a good place. We walked in a few weeks ago to dine & all the tables at booths were dirty, so we turned around & walked out. We just tried again a few days ago & found 1 table in the booth area we wanted to sit in that was clean. The wonton soup was different: not a light broth anymore, no strips of meat or green onion. The food was okay, but grease soaked with pools of oil. The prices have gone up 1-2 dollars with no updates on the menu pricing! So, your total will be different than what you think. Idk if they ever clean the floors or the condiment bottles. So sad that this remaining location (of what was 2) is not what it used to be.

No customers in dining room. No one here but me and it took me 10 mins to get here. I’m still waiting after 10 mins of sitting. If u deliver for app service make sure the money is worth the wait because it will take an entire hour from pick up to delivery because they are more worried about putting dishes away and god knows what else instead of getting the orders out. This is pathetic and I won’t be picking up anymore from this place. Not worth it unless the pay is much higher

I was pleasantly surprised at how the good the food was here. Thought it was a typical Chinese restaurant but it was a tad more upscale with the food. We look forward to going back and trying more items on their menu. We had General TZO chicken and green curry with beef and potatoes.

Pho, noodle bowls and spring rolls are on point at affordable price. Authentic hole in the wall.

Fantastic food.

This restaurant has three types of Asian food.

There are a lot of choices.

Look at they're online menu before you go there's a lot to pick from and it's good.

The only clinker in the menu were the mussels. They were number in shells, a fewer empty. The sauce was sweet and I didn't like, mussels were fine otherwise.

I'll be going back in my next order is going to be from the curry menu.

This is a mixed review. The food was probably a 4+, but we marked it down for a couple reasons.

First, the floor, particularly at the front door, was extremely sticky, which was quite a turn off.

Also, I’m not sure if they serve any other beverages than ice water. When we arrived, the couple already seated had two ice waters, the server came to us with two glasses if ice water and did not ask us if we wanted anything else. Another couple came in and received two ice waters with no ask for other options.

However, the staff was friendly and again, the food was very good.

So, there you have it. We might go back if we are in the area again.

I had the summer roll with shrimp and pad thai. The summer rolls were super fresh and came with a rich peanut sauce - very tasty. The pad thai was a good lunch portion and had very good flavor. There was no spice or heat at all though - maybe you have to ask for a spice level. I would recommend for Thai food and will return.

This place is ok. Went there for the first time today. The vietnamese food is not authentic. I ordered the bun bo hue and the broth was underwhelming. The noodles (bun) was not the correct type. The dish was also missing key ingredients that make it bun bo hue. The dish was missing tendons, pork blood cubes, pork ham (cha lua), ox tail and/or pork hocks (gio heo), and banana blossom (hoa chuoi). They gave me chopped lettuce instead of banana blossom. Not the same thing. The soup was basicly red broth, with skinny noodles and slices of beef.I was going in expecting a nice traditional dish made by vietnamese people but instead I got an underwhelming soup made by vietnamese people for people who don't know what the dish is supposed to taste like.

I always have a great experience here!! My food is always fresh and made to order! My go to is the Pho Ga (chicken pho)! Always delicious and consistent!!

Loved the two selections of Thai food. Service was slow but the food was worth it. The table had the usual sauces along with a jar of what appeared to be red pepper paste. It took the food to a new level. Taste and heat. We also had a cup of hot and sour soup. Great soup. Better than the average Chinese restaurant.

So disappointed... The fried rice was several days old, so dry the egg cracked in half when stuck by the fork.. inedible.. I ordered the vegetables, with NO napa cabbage. Of course. It was mainly napa cabbage. Dinner portion was so small it was almost a half portion. The only possible saving grace was they were fresh vegetables. With someone who cares/ a good chef/cook it may be salvageable..

Rudest restaurant I’ve ever delivered for in over 1,000 deliveries.

Demanded I sit while waiting the 1st time I was in there (1 table eating, the rest were delivery partners like myself; not a busy time). Second time, I had to call the restaurant while at the counter because they were in the back talking and looked like they had no intention of coming up front to get the order from me (mind you, you can see the kitchen through the glass, so there’s no way you can miss someone coming in the door). The lady got an attitude and rolled her eyes at me that I called & hung up after I saw her coming to the counter. Third time, I just sat in my car while waiting for the customer’s order because I can’t stand their attitude. After the 3rd time, I no longer take delivery requests from this restaurant.

I understand bad days, but every single time I enter that restaurant, they have an attitude problem.

I’ve encountered attitude at restaurants before during busy times (I get it; I’ve worked in restaurants before), but this is so consistent, I couldn’t even stand to support this restaurant as a customer AND a delivery partner.

I was there few days ago came here with my wife Chris the white guy who stole my wife Phone came back 5-10 minutes later saw him the window and he immediately shoved it in his pants

The food was totally underseasoned and bland. The steamed dumplings were hard, not succulent with the tops dry, indicating they were sitting around for awhile. The whole fish was rather small and not worth the price. The service was poor.

This is hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had!!! We found this place on a whim and I’m so glad we did. Will definitely back!

Need to have more employees and make food faster

Placed a pick up order. Waited 15 minutes and then went over to pick it up. Got to the restaurant and there was no one manning the front desk. The door made an audible ding when I walked in, but no one came out to great me which was weird. It was also weird that several tables had half eaten meals sitting on them. I waited patiently for someone to come out thinking that they were perhaps busy, but no one came. A delivery driver came out twice to put together an order, but he didn't even seem to see me. I was standing in front of the cash register.

After about 5 minutes of waiting, I walked back to the kitchen to find 3 people prepping. They seemed legitimately surprised to see me to spite the fact that I had placed the pick up order over 20 minutes before hand.

I don't think they had started my food. There were literally no other customers or orders and it still took 20 minutes from the time I walked into their kitchen to get my food.

2 stars because the food was actually pretty tasty. Still, I cannot recommend. Worse service than a doctor's office.

It takes a lot for me to get me upset enough to place a 1 star review. Placed a to go order and it said my order would be ready in 20-35 minutes.

I waited for at least 10 minutes to pay for my order when I got inside and when I gave him my card to pay, he put my card on the counter and didn't even hand it back to me. Ok, fine. A little rude, but ok. So then he asks me what my vehicle is that I was in, and I told him. He said he would bring out my order. After waiting for another 15 minutes, I went inside just to ask him about how much longer and he said about 5 minutes and that they were wrapping it up now. At this point, from the time I submitted my order until they actually brought out the food, it had been a total of 50 minutes!

Then he brings it out, doesn't even hand it to me, and puts it on the counter space closest to him. Doesn't apologize, look at me in the face, or has any care for how he treated me from the start. Just rude from the start. How does it take nearly an hour to make TWO SANDWICHES and four spring rolls?? Never in my life had I ever waited so long for a couple of sandwiches. The audacity to be rude after making someone wait for so long for some simple sandwiches. It's one thing if he apologized for the long wait time or handed me my food and thanked me for my patience/wait, but all I got was a rude attitude.

This was my first time there, and I will never ever return. I'm Vietnamese and know what good Vietnamese food tastes like. I would rate the food 2.5 stars.. it was ok, but because the service was absolutely terrible, they're getting a 1 star review.

Its a small place but the Pho is excellent and they Summer Rolls with Peanut sauce are the bomb. Not much to look at, but the service is very good and son are the prices.

I ordered the pad thai using the Google app online. Ordered shrimp to go with it. I also ordered a Bahn Mi sandwich. I received the confirmation via text immediately. Ordering was easy. The app told me it was going to be about 20 minutes for my meal to be ready. I immediately received a phone call from a gentleman asking which location I ordered from. I told him Richland avenue. He said the order had come to the Middletown location for some reason. It's a good thing he called. I had about a 10-minute drive to Richland avenue. By the time I arrived, I waited approximately 5 minutes and my food was ready. The pad thai was good, the shrimp were relatively small and included only four or five pieces.

Slow service, food was fresh, tasty, big portion. Busy to go business. We tried 5 Appetizers, nothing great. Nice friendly service!!!

Use to be one of my favorite restaurant, but the quality of food is falling, specifically to go. Last few times, the food I ordered tasted saltless and out of taste. Felt like cooked in rush. Waiting time is also very inaccurate. It takes longer than what they say over the phone.

Es uno de los tres restaurantes donde me e sentido muy discriminado como driver le pregunte antes de hacer la orden que cuanto se podía demorar la orden y la señora me dice de 15 a 20 minutos solo eso me dijo de seguro continué y hice la ordenbpara el cliente después de esperar el tiempo que ella me dijo fuy a preguntarle de la mejor manera que si la orden le faltaba mucho y trato muy groseramente me dijo que cuando yo llegue ella tenia muchas ordenes delante de la mía y que tenia que esperar de 30 a 35 minutos cosa que nunca me dijo al principio porque me dijo que solo tardaría de 15 a 20 le dije que eso no fue lo que me dijo al principio y me dijo que saliera del restaurat y esperara afuera en el carro que cuando estuviera ella la llevaría le dije me hubiera dicho desde el principio que tenia muchas ordenes si no no hubiera ordenado y me dijo de muy mala gana que hiciera lo que quisiera que la cancelara le dije voy a llamar a servicio al cliente y salí y ella me dijo si sale y has lo que quieras fuy para mi carro y cuando estaba llamando ella sale en dos ocasiones a entregar otros pedidos y en una de las entregas me mira y me dice que que esperara que cancelara la orden me lo dijo en un tono muy grocero yo estaba dentro de mi carro y le dije que ella nunca me había dicho que tenia muchas ordenes que solo se demoraba 15 a 20 y me grito que hiciera lo que me diera la gana y que cancelara la orden en un despreciable y después al rato sale otro hombre a traerme la orden le explico lo que sucedió y me dijo que me largara le dije eso no eran formas para tratar a nadie y me miró de arriba a bajo y me dijo que me largara me miró como en forma rasista y se lo dije por ser negro tu crees que me van a tratar como basura yo solo le hice una pregunta que cuanto más faltaba para tener mi orden y ella salió muy grocera y falta de ética es una pena que allan restaurantes que discriminen a las personas por su trabajo deliver son muy pocos los restaurantes pero este es uno de ello

me gustaría tener una respuesta a este comentario yo les hice un reporte con Uber haver si así les da berguenza y no discriminan más a nadie y no les mienten más a los deliver

Great food.

I have been to this restaurant 3 times and had different entrees each time. The food here is fabulous! It is fresh, hand-crafted, consistently exceptional. You will find some familiar favorites and some you may not be so familiar with. Explore the menu and choose adventurously. You won't be disappointed! This is a small restaurant and sometimes there are some periods of slower service bit the quality of the food is worth it!

Huge menu, maybe 8 large pages or more. Everything I have had was great, friends that I shared meals with there reported the same. Fast enough service for a lunch spot, enough food and options for a great dinner spot as well.

Whenever we are shopping in the neighborhood (TJ Maxx is our weakness), my mom and I like to stop in to enjoy a decadent bowl of pho dac biet, which is their combination beef noodle soup. Delicious broth, tender brisket, meatballs are my mom's favorite, and the exotic tripe and tendon ingredients make this the under-the-weather cure year round for us.

The food is ALWAYS amazing. My picky eaters even love it! Get the pho tai. You will not be disapponited!

This place is terrible! Food was the worst I have ever eaten. Tables and silverware were dirty. Granted I visited this place more than a year ago it was worth the review. Was horrible. I hope they have gotten 1000% better.

Lemongrass is alright, by no means the best but still worth a shot.

The people were very pleasant; we came up to get some takeout. We didn’t wait too long and the place looked clean inside. The food itself was fine, just disappointing. The curry tasted like flavorless wet vegetables. The pad Thai was good, but not enough peanut flavor, and the spice level is nowhere near enough.

Love this place! We were wanting chinese but I wanted Bun xi ot so this is the best place to go! My husband gets his cashew chicken, my grandson gets egg rolls and I get what I want too! You really should try it!!

Fantastic Vietnamese and Thai cuisine!

The food is great but they're online service sucks. I don't think they start preparing the food until u arrive to pick it up.

This place has amazing cuisine. Has selections for every taste bud. A big surprise on a quiet strip.

ordered for takeout via their website. when i went for pickup at the scheduled time, they said that they are still "cooking" the food. But then we ended having to wait 45 more minutes until it was ready. I chose the option of paying at the restaurant instead of paying ahead on the website. They clearly did not start preparing the food when I initially placed the order on the website, but they actually waited until I showed up to make sure that it was a legitimate order, which defeats the purpose of inputting a time for pickup. Their excuse was that they are "very busy" that day.

To make things worse, once I arrived home with the packaged food, I found out that one of menu item was completely missing! When i called back, they already knew about the mistake, but never bothered calling us to apologize. But on top of that, they asked me to call an hour later, because they are too busy to process any refunds right now.

The food may taste great, but the service is horrible. There are no signs of responsibility, accountability, nor promptness.

I ordered the Lunch Moo Shu Pork with Spring Roll as a side. I also ordered Hot & Sour Soup and Crab Rangoon.

Anyone who eats Moo Shu is aware this dish should come with the pancakes and plum sauce on the side, to avoid the pancakes from becoming soggy. However, what I received in my to-go order was two small flour tortillas with the plum sauce and filling already rolled up in the tortillas. Tortillas are NOT meant for Moo Shu of any kind. The actual Moo Shu filling had a decent flavor but the amount was minimal.

The Crab Rangoon were burnt to a crisp and inedible.

The Hot & Sour soup lacked flavor and was average at best.

The Spring Roll has little flavor and was greasy.

Needless to say, I will not be returning to Lemongrass Cafe and Market.

Went here after a friend let me try one of his summer rolls & it did not disappoint! The staff was super friendly & greeted me immediately upon entrance. All of my food was so good & flavorful. The serving sizes are awesome; I had enough to take some home & make a whole other meal out of it. The food was fresh & came quickly. Can’t wait to go back & try more; the menu is huge!
