We serve thai food and myanmar food
Chinstar has a good mix of various Asian food choices and teas, my favorite being Thai. Staff is friendly and food was fast and hot when it arrived at my table. Red curry is my go-to favorite dish, and it was just the right amount of spicy. Location looks great and was very clean. Opens at 10:30 am, which is also a plus!
After seeing the reviews, we decided to stop here. The thom ka soup was bland with no coconut milk in it. The pad Thai had zero flavor. No heat at all. The “whole fish” they advertise is just a poorly cooked salmon with poorly made curry slapped ontop. Really disappointing. Not sure why they have 4.9/5 stars. Waste of money.
If I call & order something & ask for it to be picked up 30 minutes from now, I don't expect to have to wait 10 more minutes after I arrive for my order to actually be made because the lady straight up said she forgot to send my order in. Doesn't help that she was never nice at all, not on the phone nor in person. You forgot the only single order y'all have gotten? Must be a reason there's literally never anyone there.
Came back to edit because I noticed that according to my bank, I was charged more than the total of the actual food. She tipped herself 😂😂😂 I'll be there tomorrow tho to have this resolved.
Really delicious food. We did a pick up as we drove through and absolutely loved our dinner. The edamame were amazing with a grilled flavor, and the green curry was hot and delicious.
Duck was bone dry, rice tasted like it had been in a warmer for 2 days and the portions were sad. I ordered through Uber Eats but that's no excuse for the food quality I recieved.
The staff at this restaurant were incredibly patient and friendly, which made the dining experience enjoyable. They were more than willing to accommodate all our requests, which was a definite plus. However, I must say that the portion sizes left much to be desired. In comparison to other Thai restaurants I've been to, the portions here were surprisingly small.
Pad Thai and Pad See-Ew are not authentic and very salty.
One dish that caught my attention was the "Crazy Basil Seafood." When I inquired about the portion size, the staff mentioned that it would be larger than their "Tiger Prawns" dish, which comes with 7 prawns. To my disappointment, it only contained 3 mussels. 3 mussles for 14 dollars is unacceptable. It was a letdown to find such a significant discrepancy between the promised portion and what was actually served.
While the service was commendable, the issue with portion size and the disparity between what was described and what was delivered made the overall dining experience less satisfying than I had hoped for.
So sad!!! My stepfather and I took my mother out for her birthday to this empty af restaurant and we were thinking, hmm I wonder why they don’t have any business? We ate the food and we did enjoy most of it except for the flavorless pork Pad See eew and while we were outside grabbing more cash for a bigger tip, the workers already wrote in an $8 tip for us! WOW how kind of them. I guess they really needed that $15! Because we brought $7 in as a tip. I guess restaurant workers are so used to people not leaving tips they have to take advantage of kind people! So sad. Hmm I wonder how long chinstar will stay in business? Negativity doesn’t breed more business! And they definitely need the business 🙂
Food is good, but they never pick up the phone.
Don't give a cash tip of $10.00 and forget to put a line through the tip part of receipt they will write in what they want plus the cash you left on table . Shady Will not go back ! Food is ok to good but will scam you . It's a shame people so greedy much .BEWARE!!You've been warned
I often come here for healthy Thai food. The food is well-prepared, delicious and large portions.

The best noodles I've ever had! And I LOOOOOOOVED how fine the chopped up the chicken. Soooooo good! I wish they were closer to campus!🥺
AMAZING!

Literally the best Asian food in Bowling Green. The drunken noodles with tofu are amazing here.
Best Thai options & sizeable portions, especially for the prices. Bet Pad Kra Pao in town, in my opinion. Big fan of pa naeng as well and their fried rice is authentic, which I can't say about the competition for this tier of Thai dining in Bowling Green.
Love Thai food. This is not the worst one...but close. Will not go back
Really delicious food. We did a pick up as we drove through and absolutely loved our dinner. The edamame were amazing with a grilled flavor, and the green curry was hot and delicious.
This place is one of our favorites. Their pad Thai is the best I’ve ever had! I love this small business & hope it stays afloat.
Delicious food, freshly made! We ordered 3 orders of drunken noodles and mini spring rolls, the noodles were the perfect level of spice, the spring rolls were crunchy and all was fantasticly flavored.
Service was very quick and friendly.
The food was hot and very tasty.
Recommend giving this little restaurant a try.
This restaurant has fresh, flavorful food and it is very clean! The menu is varied and the service is fast and friendly. I've had lots of Thai food and Chinstar ranks among the top!
Surprised to find a Burmese restaurant in Bowling Green, not only affordable but pretty good. And the staff was very excited to have a dine-in customer!

Mostly I like peanut sauce with summer roll. It was very taste good
Food was soooo good!!! Best pad Thai I've had in this area.
Very good food at reasonable prices. Fast casual ambience.
Just save your $$! Even the edamame wasnt fixed properly, old, & had been cooked in old fish oil. It could not b eaten. Tom ka was ok, but not many ingredients & hardly any cilantro.
The food was absolutely awful.
My wife and I used to go to their old location, Zogam Khai, anytime we were in Bowling Green and were disappointed to find out last time that the current location is a different Asian restaurant. Fortunately we found their new location on Google. The food is still great especially the Drunken Noodles, Sesame chicken, and Thai Tea. It is an authentic place with dishes you can t find at many restaurants with reasonable prices and portions.
The name is a bit confusing but this 100% family owned authentic food makes you feel like you are at home. The food I would describe panders to general Asian cuisine but specializes in Thai, Myanmar style foods which I find very unique! Thank you for sharing your culture and type of food you make!

We’re just passing thru from Indianapolis and googled Thai restaurants. The food was excellent as well as the service! Come support this restaurant!
