I love it there. My mother and I always get the Lulu's Sampler Platter and Druken Noodles to split. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is top-notch.

Diner Review №2

Lulu's service was a little off today, but not the norm. Food was fine. I love going there on a cold winter day to warm up with hot noodles.

Diner Review №3

This place is fantastic. The menu has some seasonal options in addition to a regular menu. Portions were plentiful and customizations were possible so you know it is fresh!

Diner Review №4

Absolutely love lulus! They have amazing Thai food and the atmosphere at this location, especially when it's nice out and you can sit outside. I've had the pad Thai, peanut noodles, and the 3 appetizer dish, and they were all amazing!! Service was great as well the times I have been.

Diner Review №5

Very nice place. Wait staff cared about their job. The food didn't disappoint. Pad Thai and drunken noodles.

Diner Review №6

Diner Review №7

Nice staff, good eats, and reasonably priced. My Pad Thai was a little salty for my taste, but that's just me.

Diner Review №8

Online Togo order. Walked in and restaurant smelled great and was helped promptly. Upon getting home, to our dismay, the food appeared disappointing. Both dishes were white/gray - that’s to say they looked bland and sans seasoning. And they were.

There was minimal favor and what was there was heavily salted. A chicken pad Thai and chicken drunken noodles looked identical - and the pan seared dumplings had minimal flavor drowned out by more salt.

We both chose medium and mild/medium, nothing. Even after adding Sriracha at home they are both still drowned out by the overwhelming taste of salt.

We were extremely disappointed in our choice tonight; when there’re many excellent other Thai establishments in town. We likely will not come back.

Love this place. Food is excellent. Staff is very friendly. Outdoor heated patio is awesome for year around seating.

Nice place I spent time with my wife and son

Diner Review №12

Fun, unique, and delicious food!

Diner Review №13

We have gone now three times but will not return. The food is really good and consistent but the service is just terrible. It just keeps getting worse every time we go. Do not dine in here ever.

Diner Review №16

Super cute inside and out. The outdoor seating is wonderful. Large selection of food. We had crab Rangoon, chicken fried rice and cashew chicken. Ive never had Thai food before. We got everything with very little spice.

Diner Review №17

Really unfortunate experience today. Waited 1.5 hours when the store was not busy, salad came out soggy like it had been sitting out for an hour, soup was lukewarm at best. No items were comped and we could not eat our food. Server was pleasant but should not have been left in charge without knowing how to handle a kitchen mess up this severe.

Amazing per usual. Food is always so fresh and delicious and the staff is bright and helpful. It’s a great spot for a date or to bring a big group of friends. The patio is cozy and I love to sit next to the Koi pond. I had a summer special mint beef salad that I continue to crave. The deserts are also incredible. One of my favorite spots that never disappoints

I work over here, so I've been wanting to stop by for awhile. Today, I happened to be off work and in the neighborhood and I'm always up for trying new places. Jane was our waitress. Super friendly and she paid attention to drinks . I was with my boyfriend and his dad. I ordered Lulu's Sampler. I'm not a big fan of pork so that was the only thing I didn't like. Veggie dumplings were great. I ordered Veggie Rangoon. I actually preferred these over the regular crab Rangoon. BF ordered Massaman. He said it was alright it didn't have a lot of flavor. His dad ordered fried rice with pork. He likes it. . My main dish is the

My first visit here was on a Sunday. I walked in, and it was fairly empty, although it took a moment for me to be seated. It was happy hour, and I ordered a mojito that was underwhelming to say the least. My waitress/bartender was kind and attentive once seated. I order crab ragoon and pad Thai shrimp noodles. The presentation of the food was beautiful. All I can say is hold on to your seats because the flavors pack a punch. Overall my experience was cool I will go back to try other dishes.

the crab fried rice had potential, if it wasent for the 2 pounds of raw onion i might have been able to taste the crab and the rice etc. I have colelcted a bowl of the onions, i think the chef who cooked it should eat it, jk but really. same with pad thai way too many onions. raw.

Diner Review №60

I don't have anything bad to say about this restaurant other than it's a bit overpriced. The menu itself is unique and well put together. The atmosphere is hip and cozy. Service was great each time I've been there. They have some interesting Asian draft and bottled beers, if that's your thing. My only suggestion is: either the prices go down a few bucks per item, or the portion sizes increase. I understand we are living in cost inflated times, but take a look at their menu and I think you'll understand what I mean. The food *is* fantastic, though. 4.5/5 stars

Edit: their lunch specials are impressive, and compete well with other options in the area well. Will be back for more lunch specials! Not to mention the food I ordered came out extremely fast, and was delicious as always. Portion size was on point. .5 stars redeemed!

Diner Review №67

It's a nice place, but nothing particularly memorable or great about it. The food was middle of the road. Now, it could be just the meal that I ordered (the seasonal banh mi bowl) because I've had friends come back to this place again and again and also suggest it as a place to meet up. So I would recommend it's worth a try at least once.

Diner Review №68

Compared to the Crossroads location, I liked that this location is quieter and staff members are friendlier.

The food was flavorful and good portion sized as always, although it's always a hit or miss with the spice levels depending on the day/who is cooking I think.

Diner Review №69

Lulu is in an amazing restaurant. They offer really good food. The menu is a nice variety of choices. The atmosphere is funky and fun. The patio is very nice.

Diner Review №70

Diner Review №71

Sooooooo good. The Cocunt Curry...the wings and crab rangoon... I'm DEFINITELY going back!

Diner Review №72

Came here for the first time. Crab Rangoon was delicious. They had actual sriracha which was amazing. Meal portion was on the smaller side but can’t complain about that with the price I paid. I’ll be back! Parking is limited

Diner Review №76

Diner Review №77

Asked for medium spice… NO spice at all. No flavor in general. Not happy. Won’t be coming back!

Diner Review №78

We used to love lulus but received takeout delivery via DoorDash tonight and the $20 yellow curry dish had enough for about 3 bites, about 1/3 of the portion that we would have gotten a year ago. Really sad bc the food is otherwise delicious and was our go to spot.

Diner Review №79

We were visiting KC for the weekend and my nickname growing up is Lulu and also I love Thai food. (Obviously we had to eat here) The staff was lovely and very attentive and it was a gorgeous space. Lots of plants and greenery made the space comfy and relaxing.
I had the pad Thai and HANDS DOWN the best I've ever had. It will be a staple when we go down the visit.

Diner Review №80

I dont eat alot of thai, but when i do, i go to Lulu's

Diner Review №87

First, when we arrived, the host looked at us as if she doesn’t know why we are just standing in the front, so I had to point to a table on gesture that we need a table . Off the bed that was a pretty weird impression. Overall, the food was one of the worst I’ve ever had and so I’m riding this review to let everyone know how much of a rip off this place and I should’ve not even given a single dollar tip. Their food made me vomit everything because it was so bad it was the kind of Thai food, that isn’t your normal Thai ingredients. I kind of figured why the food wasn’t great and it’s likely because the dishes were not authentically made.

I will never go back to this place, and would not recommend it at all, despite the thousand reviews. The reviews were likely coming from friends or people that the workers have asked to get a review from and not by actual customers. If you want, authentic Thai food with better, Customer Service , do not go to this

Diner Review №88

Seriously love Lulu's the customer service is always amazing the food always come out fast and smoking hot. Really can't get any better than Lulu's

Diner Review №101

Ordered food & was told pick up time. Arrived & tho there was about 15 employees standing around had to wait about 15 minutes for order

Diner Review №102

I placed a curbside order but I ended up having to go in myself to get it. This is very frustrating because I broke my left foot two months ago and this was my first time out without my orthopedic boot on. I called when I received the text it was done letting them know the number I was parked at, then I called again 15 minutes later and was told they’d be out shortly again. After waiting 30 minutes I decided to just limp in, which got me quite a few stares from all of the employees and hostess who I told I had been waiting for 30 minutes just for her to reply “okay”.If your host won’t take out curbside orders remove it as an option.

Diner Review №103

One of my favorite restaurants ever! I have never had a bad experience and at this point I think I've tried nearly everything on the menu. It's all amazing.

Diner Review №104

There were 2 strands of blond hair in our order of chicken satay.
The spring rolls smelled like bug spray. This was so disappointing, because it's the first time in 20years of patronage that there's been an issue w the food.
The atmosphere is almost perfect; except the table top was dirty when we sat down, and that was the case the last time we were there. The waiter got our drink order wrong, but readily fixed the discrepancy.

Diner Review №105

Diner Review №107

Their crab fried rice is the saltiest thing I've ever eaten.

Diner Review №108

Diner Review №116

Restaurant was practically empty. was Blatantly ignored while waiting. Was told someone would be with me. Waited for like 20mins and eventually just left. Came to my car and the people who were supposed to “help me” were standing outside talking.

Diner Review №117

Diner Review №120

Awesome menu.. wonderful food!

Diner Review №121

Lulu’s was so SO wonderful. The staff was not over stretched so the service was thoughtful and relaxed. Very friendly. Also, I was meeting someone who ended up being delayed and they let me charge my dead phone while I waited. Most places would have turned me down, but the service is just top notch.

There is a BEAUTIFUL view from in dining and there is a balcony for our dining. They grow their own herbs in a garden outside their restaurant. HUGE beds of mint were bolting in the heat when I was there. They also have LARGE lovely indoor plants with broad leaves that take advantage of the natural light from their HUGE window. The atmosphere is really lovely.

I saw families with small children at the restaurant and the staff helped them to feel right at home. The kids and parents seemed happy with their experience. (I people watched while I waited.)

When the food arrived, MAN!, it was just divine. I had vegetable wontons and it was really satisfying.

When my guest and I were done eating, we wanted to catch up for a while without camping at someone’s needed table, and they said it was okay for us to just chat outside on the balcony. They even checked on us now and the and brought us water after we had paid.

Wonderful place. ABSOLUTELY a must if you are in the area.

Diner Review №122

Wild mushroom curry is amazing!

Diner Review №123

Extraordinarily expensive for very average The Pad Thai is totally lacking in flavor ($20), a staple of any Thai restaurant. The crab fried rice was glutinous $24. Most surprising, the Massaman ($22l) curry is not even close to authentic. Cashew chicken ($21) was probably the stand out dish. $200 for 5 people, I guess this is what chain restaurants in KC serve up

Diner Review №124

I've always enjoyed their food, but the service has deteriorated so much I literally had to get up and leave after waiting so long with no one even coming to our table. Last time the same thing happened, and it turned out to be that none of the servers thought we were their table. It's not a fluke event. This is the norm now. Such a disappointment.

Diner Review №125

Diner Review №126

The atmosphere, and service was great. The server was friendly, and amazing. :)
I was not impressed by the food... Everything was extremely bland, couldn't taste any spices, or seasoning. Couldn't taste the lemon grass, cilantro, lime, or any seasoning in the tom yum, tasted more like tomato juice than anything.
Pad Thai (level hot) noodles were soggy, overall runny, bland, and not spicy at all, couldn't finish.

Diner Review №127

Diner Review №128

Pad Tai good, curry not, peanut sauce for the spring rolls wasnt very peanut tasting. I guess its fusion? Service was so bad, server drop drinks and the check off and that was it. Expediter and another server brought our food and more napkins. Never checked back. Atmosphere is great.

Diner Review №129

If I could give a Zero Star I definitely would. Never have we experienced horrible service like this or should I say NO service. We walked in but yet greeted NOT so nice. The young man seated us. We sat for 15 mins before somebody noticed us. Asked if we wanted water and he told us I’ll be right back. Another 5 mins passes we waited but unfortunately he didn’t come back. So we decided to leave. We’re new to Kansas City and wanted to give this place a chance. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Diner Review №130

Love their peanut rainbow noodles! Very tasty food, generous portions, and they accommodate any spice level. Great gluten free menu as well. My husband is celiac and has never gotten sick.

Diner Review №131

I've had numerous solid experiences here. They cancelled my Uber Eats order for no apparent reason one time; this is the only demerit I can think of.

Diner Review №132

Diner Review №133

I ordered drunken noodles to go.. the dish taste like rice noodle with pancake syrup, I’m not sure if this was a one time mistake but the drunken noodle had WAY too much sugar in it. I definitely would not recommend this dish to anyone who doesn’t like extremely sweet food.

Diner Review №134

I never had a problem with this particular restaurant, and we are regulars, but this time I had a large party to celebrate my engagement. The food is always excellent, and the Atmosphere is decent from the times I visited previously. But what I find to be unprofessional is discussing gratuity and gossiping about the customers while the customer is present is rude. The waitress Brittany (blue hair), wasn’t even our waitress was bashing our party, speaking we should get charged more, etc..… The waitress continued her rant outside when we were in the process of leaving, and our party was in earshot to hear her making rude comments. Very unprofessional. So, if you’re reading my review, the food is good, but you better tip more than $20.00 because they will discuss it. Hopefully, they can talk to their staff about good customer service skills.

Diner Review №135

The food could use more heat, I asked for medium, If it had any spices I could not tell. I liked the food, but I would have been better with spices.

Diner Review №136

I really want to give my overall experience today a 0 out of 10 .Tonight I attended this establishment with a large party, to celebrate my cousins wedding engagement everything was going OK, until we got up to leave a waitress that was wearing blue hair who name I believe was Brittany walk up to our server and loudly stated to our waitress out loudly were we was able to hear "whenever a party comes in that is over 10 people or more you need to make sure that you up the gratuity to 12%" and slams the menu. She then follows us outside while we were taking pictures. We had one of the male waitress take the picture for us. She then comes up to him and stated he shouldn't be taking our pictures because they did not tip . The male waitress proceeded to still take our picture, and after the picture was taken, he politely addresses some members of my party and apologized for her behavior because he understood and knew that his fellow waitress was being very rude. The same blue headed waitress comes back outside stocking us again. She stated something to the effect of "you guys spent over $500 but it didn't tip"under her breath. This was very unprofessional customer service , for the fact that not all my party didn't tip the waitress, but some of us did and for you to follow us multiple times outside and speaking negative about us under your breath out loud where we can hear you is a form of harassment. My sister then goes back inside to speak with the manager to complain and asked about the gratuity policy for we did not see it advertised on the menu. the manager explained to us that there's not a added gratuity there for parties greater than 10 that is added to the bill for their establishment is not based off of gratuity and also customers are not required to tip but is often custom. I found this experience offensive and do not recommend eating at this establishment again.

2nd time at Lulu's, 1st time at this location. Much easier to park here. Food is great, love the decor in both places. They did seem to be a bit short staffed but did their best to keep up and did not make us feel like we were a bother.

Diner Review №150

V and I went here at noon for lunch. The restaurant wasn’t overly crowded and we were seated right away. I wasn’t overly impressed with the food. The restaurant is nice but the one word I would use to describe Lulu’s is-fussy. Presentation and aesthetic seem to reign supreme here and this includes the food. The plating is great and it all looks lovely. I was looking forward to trying the Thai Iced Tea and sadly that was pretty basic. The taste of everything was just okay. The food lacks spice, depth of flavor, and ultimately was some of the most mediocre Thai food I have ever had.

We selected an order of crab rangoon, Vietnamese spring rolls, and spicy beef jantaboon for an entree. The crab rangoon was ok. The spring rolls were made with fresh ingredients, but were seriously lacking in flavor and the peanut sauce tasted more like I imagine wallpaper paste mixed with a teaspoon of peanut butter would taste. The spicy beef wasn’t spicy, it ate greasy, and was just meh.

Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here if they’re looking for good Thai food.

Diner Review №151

Very good food, although if you like spicy go for the blazin option.

Diner Review №152

Spent $100 for some of the worst service I’ve ever received.

Diner Review №153

Food was extremely bland. No flavor on the Thai basil fried rice despite ordering it spicy and I definitely got a bad piece of pork in my food. Coconut shrimp was also bland and tasteless. No coconut taste at all. Not sure how this restaurant has such good reviews.

Diner Review №154

Great! Can’t wait until they have another location in Overland Park, Kansas

Diner Review №155

Nasty tasting food. Plus I pulled the chicken out of the dish and weighed it on a scale and there was only 2 ounces of chicken for a $20 dish. This place is a rip off and food isn’t worth eating

Diner Review №156

Best Thai restaurant in the city.

Diner Review №157

Diner Review №158

I get that prices are going up everywhere, but when I pay $45 for one entrée and one appetizer, I want it to be good, and I want it to be complete. My entree was good, but the appetizer was really disappointing, and I got home and realized they hadn’t included any of the sauces that should come with it. I made due with what I had at home, but when people are paying this much for a single meal, you have to get it right.

Diner Review №159

Diner Review №160

Diner Review №161

The service was great, the atmosphere is amazing, but ultimately the food is terrible. I've gotten more flavor from a PB&J. If you ask for hot it tastes mild and if you ask for mild there's zero sustenance. Its like eating unflavored oatmeal. My food personally was burnt, like they have seasonings and stuff on the table but nothing could hide the fact that as far as Thai places goes, this is overpriced atmosphere and a decent bar

Diner Review №162

Great food. My favorite dish is the coconut shrimp and chicken. The chocolate banana ragoons are great after dinner. Great service

Diner Review №166

First time visiting Lulu’s. The dumplings where delicious we decided to try both steamed and pan fried. From the seasonal menu we ordered the Coconut Shrimp and the sweet chili sauce is very flavorful. We loved the Thai Cashew Chicken. The Drunken Noodles and the Pad Thai were alright, they weren’t horrible just know to try something different next time I saw other items I would want to try.

Diner Review №170

Diner Review №171

I've been eating here for years (both in restaurant and take out), and I'm a huge fan of Lulu's noodle dishes. But on my most recent visit, I decided to give the low carb options a try. I started with the satay, which included a variety of meat skewers, delicious sauces and a side bowl of tom yum soup. This was my first time trying the soup, and I will definitely order it again.

For an entree I got the beef jantaboon. It's my long time favorite served with noodles, but it was just as good with Chinese broccoli rather than pasta. It came with garlic chili sauce that proved to be a perfect complement.

This was also my first time trying anything from the bar. I had an Elephant Feather, which was a tasty, tart, gingery cocktail.

The staff is excellent. The Westwood location does get a little noisy when it gets crowded, but come during a non-peak time and it's just fine.

Diner Review №172

Went into this place, I swear I was Casper the friendly ghost. Like hello do you want my business. Rude as hell also, I think they learn their customer service watching Hell’s Kitchen. Let’s talk about their food, my god did they take a 15 min online course on how to cook, bland like no other. I suggest waiving when you past the place, not go in.

Diner Review №173

I'll start with the service, it was horrible. No one working there seemed to care about there job at all. Next the food, if you want the most bland food you have ever eaten this is the place for you. The wild mushroom tasted only like heat nothing else. The big soup bowl was like the noodles and pork were just boiled in water and nothing else. My 8 year old could have made something better called instant Ramon noodles. We told our waitress that the food was bland and all she said was wonderful. So lazy they can't even put the toilet paper on the roll.

Diner Review №174

Bland Bland Bland Zero flavor and some of the rodest staff to a manager belting me for saying there food is Bland saying there food has never been called Bland which is a lie it's on Google people saying Bland to a waitress saying wonderful to me saying its Bland I had to ask for salt and pepper to even make a egg drop soup edible and that was just barely I got the wild mushroom soup and it was just spice zero other flavor this place was so bad and terrible we are doing our review as we are sitting at the restaurant for 17 dollars I was expecting flavor and great service I got neither avoid at all cost its not worth the price and the rudeness off staff

Not the best and not the worst drunken noodles I’ve had. The flavor and texture were decent, but I asked for extra vegetables and as hot as they could make it… it wasn’t spicy at all, and the vegetables were pretty skimpy. The Thai iced tea was a little acidic and not very sweet. Call it personal preference, but I’ll be trying other local Thai places before returning.

Diner Review №183

Meh. For the price I definitely thought the food would be a bit... better. Just rather bland and lackluster

Diner Review №184

Great food and cocktail 🍸

Diner Review №185

Solid experience. Fresh ingredients, clean, and the decor was awesome. Service was perfect and have no complaints. Was a great lunch date with my wife.

Diner Review №186

Feb 2022: The food was all very tasty. The servers were nice and accommodating.

A little overpriced, but that's to be expected, especially during the pandemic.

No real complaints. I only dropped one star because it did lack flavor, and we expected a $6 slice of cake to be bigger.

Feb 2023: still great! The vegetable Rangoon is a must.

Diner Review №187

Man the tastes and textures of their plates are just top notch. I've never had a bad experience here. The atmosphere is really fun and eclectic. They've got great cocktails too!

Amazing pad Thai and the staff and service were excellent.

The downtown one is a little better but consistency is a challenge when we go.

Drunken noodles were great but massaman had very little flavor. Super fast service.

Love the Thai lettuce wraps and Rainbow Noodles.

Delicious noodles. Fairly authentic and very well prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the prices are reasonable!

Nice place, great experience. The food was good but could have used a little more salt. Don't fear the heat here, the blazin is maybe as hot as a medium at other Thai places.

First time eating at Lulu’s. Had the yellow curry with chicken. Very good! Lettuce wraps were really good as well.
