The chicken in my pad Thai was undercooked and terrible. After leaving the resteraunt my boyfriend threw up all his food. I do not rate this resteraunt for anyone especially for the price we paid. I wish I could rate this a 0.

My favorite dinning establishment in Kansas. Winners of the Kansas City Star’s Best in KC - Thai restaurant and Lunch Destination categories in 2023. Home of authentic Thai cuisine; my favorite dish, in particular, would be Chicken Gaprow. I modify my entree with extra chopped up green beans and an extra fried egg on top. Gaprow is known as Thai Comfort food; Gaprow is found most commonly on street food stands all around Thailand!

I went with some friends and was nervous to try it. I’m a little picky and have never been around Thai food. We sat down and I got my water faster than I could think. My friends ordered some crab rangoon and I never liked it growing up. But I tried these and they were the first ones I ever ate, they were good. I don't review things much or really at all, but when I visit a restaurant that the food speaks to the level of effort and quality that I try to achieve cooking at home, I have to leave review. A couple nights ago my wife and I were in the area and decided to give Tuk Tuk a try. To my delight I saw Thai spicy sausage on the menu, which is one of my favorites which is rare to find. I ordered it and from the first bite I knew we hit the jackpot. All the favorite Thai flavors seem to be packed into the sausage - excellent! Please try if you go there, you will not regret it. We had the Tom Kha soup, green chicken curry and the duck & shitake mushroom dish, I wont go into each but all were very, very good. Just looking at the food you can tell it is going to be wonderful by the fresh ingredients and the lack of the all too common oil slick on top of the food. I am very critical of eating out, if i can make it better, why am I wasting my $$ eat out? Tuk Tuk is THE go-to Thai Restaurant in the KC area. Oh - after our food was delivered, I was asking my wife which water glass was mine (not that it matters!) and I must have had a puzzled look on my face while asking, the owner must have seen my look and came right over to make user every thing was fine, so an interactive owner who cares as well. My only regret is not finding Tuk Tuk sooner - but will be back - possibly today as we have a softball game at BV rec fields and look forward to working my way through the menu!

I should of known it was going to be a problem when Nittaya F F hungup on me, I called back and she wouldn't say anything. So I call a 3rd time. Amazing! We asked Tuk Tuk Thai to cater my daughter's wedding. Nicole and the team arrive at exactly the right time with the perfect order which was cooked to perfection. The Garlic Lover's is magical. The Pad Thai is so delicious. The apps were perfect. We changed our order 4 times and changed the delivery time twice--no worries...Nicole and team had it down. Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

The Taro tea was subpar. They use popping boba instead of brown sugar. The crème brûlée cheesecake was super dense. I will say the roasted duck was good but for $23 I got more veggies than I did meat. The value definitely isn’t here.

Take a look at the color of Tuk Tuk Thai's green curry beef, and compare it with green curry at any other Thai restaurant. It looks like there's food dye, which would explain why there was no flavor to the green curry other than old coconut milk. A meal for 4 cost over $100, and between the tiny portion of pad thai and missing items, we were still hungry afterward. This place used to be OK, but they now charge $2 more per entree than the competition for tiny, bland entrees.

Best Thai food I've had in a long time! Will definitely be back. Good prices for the amount of food you get and the flavors are amazing! I got roasted duck. And the Happy Rolls. And steamed veggies! My friend got pad thai and a Thai ice tea, and tiger cry beef - which I will have to get next time because it was the best I ever had. I reccomend this place and will be back!

We visited this evening and figured we should try this place out. Not very busy on Wednesday evening. Ordered the Happy appetizer 2 egg roll 2 spring roll (chicken); and the seafood pad thai. Spring roll was mostly lettuce and smaller size. The sauces was excellent. The seafood Pad thai was not flavorful as I would compare to other Thai restaurants. The portion was also lacking. Also, they didn't ask how hot/spicy I'd like my meal, so they just didn't add any spice, but seems odd to me cause that is what most other Thai restaurants ask. Service wasn't as accommodating as they should be and less attentive. They were busy with their cleaning rather than paying attention to customers. That's just our experience at that time, so I won't be coming back.

The food was ok, others in our party loved theirs. The service was good. Everything was fine until someone in the group happened to look up & noticed the blinds on the windows are not dusted past about standing height level. One accidental elbow into the blinds while eating & your food will be covered in a shower of dust!!

I had the roasted duck and figured out I do not like ginger but the hot n sour soup was super flavorful and I also got the appetizer sampler. We didn't have any plate that wasn't delicious. Enjoyed for quick lunch.

Went to the restaurant. So complaint the manager about the portion size. His answer was because of inflation we had to increase the price and the owner thought that the portion was too much so she had to reduce the portion size of the dishes while increasing the prices. I have been coming to this place for a while and feel like they reduced the portion by at least 25%-30%. Also told the manager if this is going to be the case it’s gonna be our last time. He said “Thats fine”. The manager had a bad attitude and kept on arguing that he is not the owner and cannot do anything.

Walked in to eat, never acknowledged to be seated. Stood there waiting for about 10 minutes at the front and nobody who worked there seemed to care or notice the group of 5 people waiting to be seated. Entrance/waiting area is very small so its hard to be missed.

The food was okay. The glass water was dirty. You can see a finger print inside the glass and you know why. Also, on that day while waiting for our food, there was an empty table and while the server was setting it up, she held the 4 glass and while holding it with the finger inside it. You know what I mean. The glass is taller than the straw The manager should be able to see at their CCTV.

Disappointed takeout: We are long - time customers at Tuk Tuk and the food has historically been consistent and good. However we had a terrible experience with our takeout order last night. My yellow curry was seriously watered down and flavorless and the tofu overcooked. Couple that with undercooked rice and it wasn't worth even eating leftovers. Thai food is generally very expensive and as a result my expectation is much higher than my experience last night.

We love the pad Thai and have been getting the same thing for the last couple of years. The last 2 orders we've had a problem with how spicy. I got my normal medium and it was so hot I couldn't get past the first couple bites and had to throw it out. So got another order last night and went down a level to mild+ and there was no spice on it. We really like their food so I hope they work out their consistency.

We just traveled to Vegas and had some great Thai food there (see my review of Thai Street restaurant in Vegas), so coming back home we wanted some more.. so we came here per the good reviews.. but we are disappointed.

The problem is the food. It's just not up to par. We ordered Pad Thai, my wife had the Pad See Ew, which came out super salty, so she had to send it back. New replacement came out, and the noodles are way overcooked. The only thing that everyone loved was the fried chicken appetizer out of all things. Fried Chicken at a Thai place, go figure!

On top of the mediocre food, the price was super high. 16 dollars for the Pad Thai, versus most other places that charge 12-13. Even in Vegas, our excellent Pad Thai there was only 12. Our fam of 4's bill was 92 dollars, granted we did order friend chicken appetizer and crab Rangoon. Still 92 is a lot for noodles, and that's before tips.

Redeeming factors at this place are that the food portions are huge and service was excellent. But they really need to improve the food quality for the price being charged.

Bottom line, I am not coming back here. Too many good choices at 16 dollar price level to eat here.

Wonderful place, if you like Thai food, I would definitely recommend this place. We ordered Chicken Satay, Red Curry and Phad Thai. They were all taste amazing.

Ordered drunken noodles and received pad Thai. It was still really good but it was not what I wanted. They also started doing karaoke while I was eating with my date in the restaurant.

So good! got the drunken noodles with chicken, medium plus and it was the perfect spice for me. My wife got pineapple fried rice with tofu and went with mild plus and said that she would go medium next time so all in all the spice levels seem pretty on par should what they say versus some places that a medium is a hot at most place.

Ordered pick up and it was hot and ready when it said it would be. With tip it came out to a little over 20 a person at dinner time which seems to be normal everywhere about now unfortunately but well worth it in this case. VERY satisfied with my meal.

I wish I could give more stars but the quality of food at this establishment was very poor. Based on the wonderful reviews with some that I should have taken under consideration that the food was not good quality I decided to place an online order. I ordered pineapple rice with combination beef, chicken and shrimp. The beef and chicken was very tough and not flavorful. I asked for medium spice and it was a mild with no flavor and was not edible. I also ordered the fish with red curry sauce and it was not to my standards, I am not sure what the strange smell was but I couldn't eat it. So I have two orders that was not good and I threw in the trash. A waste of money. I have had really really good Thai food in KC and outside of KC and this food can't compare. Where did all these good reviews come from because the food is subpar and not appetizing. They will not get repeat business from me.

The only complaint I had would be the thai hot being underwhelming for thai hot, but the flavors of this place are better than a lot of other thai places I've been to.

Worst Service EVER! There was only 3 tables when we were there and they “lost” our order! We waited way too long to just get our appetizer! Waiter NEVER came back to our table to check on us or bring more drinks! Never AGAIN!! Do not waste your time!

Went there for the first time today and there was only 2 other tables that was dining in.. we were seated and a few minutes later they took our appetizer order and never came back to take the rest of our order.. they seated 5 or 6 more tables that came in AFTER us and started taking their orders.. we sat there for probably 20 minutes and ended up asking for our check for the appetizers and the guy did not seem to care that we’ve been just sitting for 20 minutes. Horrible service. I’ve been wanting to try this place and I guess I never will get the chance to.

I know you like spicy food but don't order Thai spicy for the love of God.

We ate here for an Easter meal, great service and great food. The owners were so kind and brought us all dessert. Will be coming back!

Good food! However I ordered to-go and got only enough sauce for 1 spring roll. Had to figure something else out for the other 2.

It definitely will take a second before I decide to post a review about restaurants, so Tuk Tuk Thai has earned a place among my reviews. When I find something I like, Combo House Fried Rice - no pork or chicken, medium+ spice - I stick with it. While I wanted to give 5 stars because the food is really tasty and consistently cooked properly, I had to deduct one star because they don't always remember to make it spicy like I want (or my soy sauce). But don't hold that against them because you might miss out and oh, you need to try the Crab Rangoon.

Love the restaurant and the staff that work there. The food is great, except I think they use a tad bit too much sugar. Otherwise it's perfect.

Ordered pineapple vegetable fried rice. It was okay and also felt price is little expensive ($18.50) for lunch compared to other Thai restaurants.
