Authentic Thai cuisine featuring recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.
We got stir fry, red and yellow curries, soup, fried rice, and a couple of appetizers - and everything we ordered was delicious. Entres had very good quantity for the price, but the appetizers can get a little expensive.
Fantastic service. The waitress was very well informed and very polite.
Love the menu quality and little stories about their culture in footnotes. The inside atmosphere is pretty unique and interesting as well.
The restaurant has a nice Thai vibe and service is fast. However, the food was not so authentic. We were disappointed with the sticky rice mango because the mango was unripe and coconut milk was very sweet and texture was kinda weird. Panang curry is spicy so make sure to ask if you can’t tolerate spicy.
We were looking for a quick place to grab food in Dubuque and Pete’s Thai Kitchen was a perfect place to stop! Love the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant, especially all the murals/artwork. Server was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! Not too expensive and portion sizes are great! Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back!
Pete’s is a lifesaver if you’re in need of Asian food in Iowa! Excellent food and really nice dining experience. Had the basil chicken which came loaded with vegetables and the yellow curry (which had a tad too much curry powder but delicious nonetheless). Our server was so nice. Will definitely be back for dining and take away.
I loved every aspect of this restaurant! The food, the service, and atmosphere were all great. My wife and I got the Crab Rangoon for appetizer and both agreed they were hands down the best Rangoon we have ever had. I'd challenge anyone to find a better crab Rangoon. I had the Spicy Wok Noodle for entree, it was extremely flavorful and the spice/heat level was just right and not overly spicy at all. My wife got the Tom Kha Soup which was also very delicious. Our only critique was that it could've used just a bit more seasoning, spice or salt, but we still really enjoyed it. The waitress couldn't have been better. She was nice and attentive. The restaurant itself was very clean. The silverware, dishes, tables, floors, and restrooms, everything was spotless. I understand the food itself is the main point but I can't stress enough how neat this place is inside. The decor and artwork were beautiful. At the very least, stop here for the crab Rangoon and you will not be disappointed.
My god. The curry. It's phenomenal. I CANT GET ENOUGH!!!

Disappointed by these people every time. The delivery is a nightmare every time I order here. Once they literally never came. I gave it another chance and they kept me on hold for 3 minutes and the person on the phone clearly wasn’t paying attention to anything I said because he couldn’t repeat anything back to me-then told me he didn’t know when it would be here. Used to be my favorite. Won’t even bother anymore.
The chicken satay unbelievably wonderful high quality chicken breast perfectly cooked on a stick The sauces that they have for that are otherworldly. The sumo is chicken, beef and shrimp. So good. I have been to probably 50,000 restaurants all over Mexico, Canada, America, north, south east and west big city, little city side of the road. All that. This is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. And the good part is They'll deliver that to your house....... Best delivery food on the planet
They also have a great dining room. Superior excellent service. I highly recommend Pete's Thai kitchen. It's a great experience
The Pad Thai was insanely sweet. Didn't really taste like traditional Pad Thai to me. No spice or seasoning. Only sugar. Disappointed and probably won't be back.
Absolutely the new favorite restaurant that I can't wait to share with friends.
One of the best restaurants in Dubuque (assuming you like Thai)
I got the roasted duck curry, it was so delicious
Mango sticky rice is a classic and Pete's did not disappoint.
Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town
Pete's is always good. I've never had a bad dish, and the food is usually brought to the table very quickly. Highly recommend.
The yellow curry gave me Vietnam flashbacks of my badly cooked curry last month. The waitresses are great and caring.
I'm a very picky Thai food snob. After living in Thailand for 10 years, it's hard not to be. Outside of LA or NYC, it's tough to get really authentic Thai food. I was driving through Dubuque when I decided to check out this well reviewed place.
Ordered Larb (pork). Normally this is ground, at least I've never had larb that wasn't. The flavor was great despite not being ground meat.
I also ordered the Pad Thai. The flavors were pretty close. Definitely on the better end of Pad Thai I've had in America. Chicken chunks were just a bit too dry. A bit too wet, too, but the noodles, veggies, and big chunks of egg were great.
I got the Thai tea, as well. Very very sweet. Maybe a bit too sweet, but still good.
Atmosphere was awesome. The restaurant looks amazing.
Now - it sounds like the owner (I believe, because he had a very Thai english accent) had a massive meltdown at the kitchen staff last night. That killed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff went quite, the diners went silent. It was awkward.

That's all I can say. I've worked at Thai restaurants and have had hot headed Thai coworkers, but I've never seen anything that unhinged in person before. It was like hearing a live episode of The Bear in person.
That said, I hope its not a nightly occurrence, because the food was really a gem in the middle of Iowa - the last place I expected one of my top 5 US Thai restaurants I've been to.
Great food great service. Continue to be a repeat customer 😊
The pad thai and peanut chicken were amazing, we had other items that were great also. Really great fresh and authentic food.
The food was terrible. The favor and seasoning were not even close to Thai cuisine. We had Thai fried rice which were more like Japanese Hibachi than Thai. We also had basil stir fried which came with sweet soy sauce on the side which is not even close to being close to how Thai people cook this dish. I would know, I am Thai and owned a Thai restaurant for 15 years.
My cashew chicken was way overly spicy. Could not eat most of it. I always finish eating my plate, but NOW I have to say I almost always finish my plate. Zero stars
Sorry Pete, terrible meal. My spouse had the same meal and she was disappointed.
The food is good when it’s prepared right. Always hit and miss when ordering take out. Last time ordered Thai Peanut super saucy but hardly any chicken. Ordered same this time plenty of chicken but NO sauce, no flavor, super dry. Not enjoyable at all. Takes a lot for me to leave such a poor review since I’ve worked in the service industry for a lengthy period of time.
My wife and I usually enjoy eating at Pete’s Thai, it’s not super authentic but the meals usually taste good, especially the noodles. This time, I ordered one of the more expensive dishes on the menu for takeout, the PTK House Noodles. I was excited to try it as the description from the menu sounded good, but was very disappointed as there was almost no meat in it… in fact there were just 3 1ish inch long pieces of ground beef in the whole dish, barely enough for 3 bites with meat in it. Aside from that, the dish was overwhelmingly sweet and the veggies were almost raw. The only good part of the dish was the noodles, if I ate them separate from everything else.
I am extremely dissatisfied, especially because this is one of the more expensive dishes on the menu and the other dishes I’ve had from Pete’s have been fairly good.
Hoping to have a better experience next time, and also hoping the restaurant sees this and does better.
We got stir fry, red and yellow curries, soup, fried rice, and a couple of appetizers - and everything we ordered was delicious. Entres had very good quantity for the price, but the appetizers can get a little expensive.
Fantastic service. The waitress was very well informed and very polite.

I am generally not a negative person, but I do want to ask on this platform if anyone else has noticed a change in the quality of food. I don’t live in Dubuque but come to visit frequently with my fiancé to visit his family. The past several times we have gone this past year we have noticed that it tastes and looks like they are using frozen vegetables and meat. I had tried to order three different curries on three separate visits with mild spice, and each time it was almost too spicy to eat for everyone who tried it (and when I tried to order 0 spice the third time was told they couldn’t change the spice level- which sounded like freezing to me) and this was not how their curry used to be- I used to really love it! This last time I went, I ordered the Thai Peanut and it was very very sweet and watery with steamed vegetables. In the past, I have loved coming here but it seems like it has been around a year of the food being off and I would love to know if anyone else has noticed a decline in quality:(
Never disappointed! Always good!
All dishes were very sweet, even the Thai tea, and the sauces watery and lacking coconut cream.
This is my second time going to Pete’s Thai in the past 6 months. Great looking environment. Good parking. Hot (Temperature) food and yummy! The service is good, but they can’t read a ticket or the menu needs to be updated. Both times on both orders I’ve had a dietary allergy and had pointed it out and STILL have carrots in it. Understanding that most dishes will have carrot and onions and such… so certain dishes were picked and made aware of the allergy. Still. While we dined in the restaurant, the mistake was remedied quickly - so hot and yummy. Yet take out is a different story.
I visited Pete's Sunday 9/8/24 around 7PM with a companion.
Our server was gracious and kindly tended to our preference to dine outside.
I will note that including my party of two, there were only about ten patrons in the building.
It was our server's second day on the job and I had some specific requests for our food that evening and I tried to make things as clear as possible for her.
She compiled a list of about 6 items to check with the chef on whether or not they could be made/served without any animal products (vegan).
I specifically used both qualifiers "No animal products" & "Vegan".
She returned after a time and explained that all but two of the items could be served without animal products, and that the two which would be problematic only had sauces paired with them which could be omitted.
We placed our orders along with an appetizer of Fried Sweet Potato (no sauce included).
My companion ordered the Basil Fried Rice and I ordered the Tom Kha.
The food looked excellent and it tasted quite good.
However, nearly halfway through eating my Tom Kha soup I noticed a strange texture and then discovered there was meat (dead chicken flesh) in my soup.
I went inside to notify the staff, and the poor waitress (who I truly believe did her due diligence) dealt with me, delivering an apology and asked if I wanted something else.
My appetite was already gone but I was now even more disappointed in the chef. The chef made no effort to speak with me and in stead remained in the kitchen.
Here's the crux of the matter- If someone is in the service industry and they are clearly communicated to from their patrons about stipulations such as "vegan" and, specifically, "no animal products", and they cannot either
A: communicate to their patrons that they are unable to meet those requests
or
B: Meet those requests with accuracy and good faith
then they are failing as a chef and as a kitchen. Pete's is failing in that regard.
I give the Food, Service, Atmosphere ratings such as I do, because - my companion's dish was tasty and apparently (so far as I could tell) contained no animal products. Our server was kind and did all she could from what I could tell, but the chef/kitchen are completely unprofessional.
The atmosphere was nice.. not much else to say there.
It would perhaps have been more understandable if there was a sauce or something which contained milk or fish sauce, as these are mistakes I have seen more frequently in the industry.
But when someone says "No animal products" and they receive a dish containing the flesh of a dead bird, the chef/kitchen is either woefully incompetent or malicious.
Our meals were comped and we skipped the dessert of sticky mango rice which we were really looking forward to.
I went back in to say that I was more than happy to pay for the dish my companion received if I could be assured there were no animal products within it.
While the meal was comped the ethical problem of animal products moving through a supply chain still occurred. This business is now one dish closer to placing an order for more animal products for their ingredients which consequently fuels the demand for more sentient beings to be bred, confined, mutilated and slaughtered.
My motivation to order "vegan" was to avoid that exact thing.
While my dining experience was poor, what the animals (who's bodies and secretions end up on peoples' plates) go through is infinitely worse than a poor dining experience.
It should be apparent to anyone reading about this experience that, if someone is against animal cruelty or has any dietary restrictions whatsoever, they should not even consider Pete's Thai as an option for dining.
If you have a severe allergy for example, it's clear that concise communication to this kitchen can't be relied upon to be served with accuracy.
Ordered on line, spicy Wok noodles and fried spring rolls. Food was ready in fifteen minutes for pick up. Delicious entree and tasty appetizer. The atmosphere of the restaurant was clean, pleasant, and open. Definitely will order from Pete's again.
Wonderful lunch in a great atmosphere. Can't wait to return.
Terrific dishes, each delicious. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
PLEASE do not give these people your money. The service we received here was such trash. We placed an order for delivery approximately around 8pm through their website ($60). An hour goes by and we had yet to receive our order. Tried calling and a lady answered and said she’d try to find out what happened with our order. We were on hold and she hung up 6 minutes later. Tried calling the number back and no answer. Tried every phone number we could find associated with this business and no one answered. What a joke, never ordering here again.
Not authentic at all! Just soy sauce fried anything. 吃完这让我觉得当地人对泰餐是有什么误解。我炒得绝对比这好吃。
Tasty food, lovely staff, great atmosphere, even great prices.
The food was delicious, especially the exotic herb Thai stir fry with tofu and garlic rice. We were happy to have outdoor seating surrounded by graffiti art commissioned by artists.
We would give 5 stars for better timing--for example, our drinks came out 30 mins after food and the kitchen closed 30 mins before restaurant close time.
Try to order over the phone. Very little help. Mentioned I was walking for a while could have put the sauces in sealed ramekins instead everything ended up in the bottom of my bag as a soup when I got home it was all inedible unfortunately I couldn't tell you how good it tasted cuz I had to throw it all out one star poor service help the food could have been amazing but I'm not too fond of picking paper bag out of my food when I paid almost 40 bucks

PTK is a pleasant Thai restaurant in Dubuque, Iowa that offers a compact menu of traditional Thai dishes at moderate prices.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service is top notch.
I ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken. This dish had a pleasant balance of sweet and savory flavors. The chunks of pineapple added a refreshing sweetness that complemented the savory chicken and rice well. The dish was nicely seasoned and had a good variety of vegetables, providing a satisfying texture. Overall, it was a flavorful and enjoyable dish, perfect for those who like a hint of sweetness in their savory meals.
Great service and a very cute place to eat. But the hibachi was very salty and alot of soy sauce on it.
the best thai food i’ve ever had! yellow curry was good, pad thai was incredible.
Absolutely fantastic food! Some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten. We ordered and received our food within 5 minutes. Service was great and we will be back!
My second visit. Had the pumpkin curry. It was very good.
I know it might be a lot to expect "authentic" Thai food in the middle of Dubuque, but I would be more forgiving if a chef special call out of Pad Gra Pao was not specifically called out by Thai name that resembled a Chinese black pepper beef stir fry with soy sauce. The chicken Satay was also very dry served with a syrupy sweet sauce. The plus side is the turmeric pancake/bun Xiao is actually pretty good representation and the glass noodle salad has a really good balance of sweet, spice and salty flavors.
I remember having a few curries here before I learned more about Thai food. So the menus really a mixed bag.
Pete’s is a lifesaver if you’re in need of Asian food in Iowa! Excellent food and really nice dining experience. Had the basil chicken which came loaded with vegetables and the yellow curry (which had a tad too much curry powder but delicious nonetheless). Our server was so nice. We were visiting from Chicago and found this place. Best place for comfort food, delicious.
Our host was fantastic and very prompt. The food was the best Thai I've had in a very long time. Our drinks were made perfectly and the atmosphere was just what we needed for date night!
Very disappointing.
Fantastic food every time. Originally found them via their Food Truck and the food is just as good in-house!
I had a wonderful yellow curry, and got some Tom to take home and that was fantastic as well. The service was great. It appears a lot of people order takeout and a lot of people visit this place. I was recommended to try the pumpkin curry and I will definitely do that next time I go.
This was probably the worst "Thai" food I've ever had. I got the PTK House Noodles. It was a sickeningly sweet soup concoction that was far from authentic. It had dry chicken, weird hamburger, a few veggies, and some noodles. I also had a side of cucumber salad (about 3 forkfulls, hardly a serving) that was entirely forgettable. And forget about spice. The waitress didn't even ask! I have never eaten at any Thai restaurant where they didn't ask what heat level I wanted. I would have sent it all back except my waitress never returned to check on me after plopping my food down and running off. I'll give her a break, she was busy with a large table of individual checks, but she never even glanced my way until it was time to drop my bill off with a, "Sorry I got busy."
I'm not from DBQ, but feel sorry for the residents here who think this is good food.
Amazing.
Passing through town and so happy we found this place! Such fantastic food! Shea was our server and she was awesome! Beautiful atmosphere! Loved it! We will be back!
Awesome food and fantastic service. Large portions that are sure to leave you full.
Have been here many times and it has been consistently good for my wife, son, and me. This is a spot we frequently crave.
Some of the best food in Dubuque, easily. Quality place all around - unique and lovely atmosphere, awesome food and it’s affordable. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.
It is a tad bit up scale for a Thai restaurant. The staff is very nice. The restaurant is a very nice restaurant and it appears very comfortable. Fancy but
Delicious food, yummy drinks!! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. They said they can make just about anything vegan. We tried 5 or 6 dishes and everything was wonderful!
U can absolutely B 100% sure when U pick Pete's Thai that U have made a top shelf choice concerning the service and the food. I've eaten there MANY, MANY times...both as a family with my husband and son and then with friends. I've had lunches there and dinners. I've had items off of their menu as well as Happy Hibachi. I have absolutely never ever had a bad meal or in any way been upset or disappointed whatsoever. They're EXTREMELY accommodating about additions and substitutions. The service is always top notch and first rate, the place is always immaculate and clean. And I just love how welcoming and comfortable U feel the minute U set foot inside there. And I LITERALLY NEVER get tired of their decorations and paintings on the walls!! Just so colorful and vibrant...I find myself getting totally lost in looking at all the intriguing detail work and intricacies of the paintings on more than one occasion. U just can't ever possibly go wrong choosing Pete's Thai for any meal EVER!!
My order was wrong and they delivered to me fresh delicious food right away! Amazing people and customer service!
Ive been here a handful of times and everything I have got has been to die for. The Thai Peanut dish is delicious, very peanuty, but not over the top or too much! The PTK House Noodles is delectable! The broth is sweet and savory and it is very hearty with all the vegetables and meat! Also, the Bha Mee Patt is by far my favorite. A tad amount of spiciness but not enough to make the dish unenjoyable, full of veggies, noodles, and meat! My husband always gets the Chicken Hibachi and loves it every time. We are always so excited to dine at Pete’s!
The food was incredibly bland and inauthentic. My wife's pad see ew had no flavor except for the generous amount of black pepper. The Thai iced tea was 90% cream. I learned not to expect uncultured Iowans to make you any kind of ethnic cuisine. I should have known better. The service was nice enough, though!
Food was awesome.
Service was awesome.
Great food and drinks! Coconut shrimp app and Spicy Basil Fried Rice were great. A warm welcome would have put it 5 stars across the board. Looking forward to trying more from the menu.
Food was great, easy 10/10!! But service was not so great. I felt i was being rushed since the moment i sat down. I was asked if i wanted the bill said no... clearly my wife was still eating. Horrible service by this platinum blonde hair lady in ponytails... do better.
Love the food..
Amazing decor, service and food. One of my favorites in Dubuque!
We are here for the first time on Friday - it was so awesome, we came back again for dinner Saturday!
Atmosphere, Food and Service were
Top Notch. Highly recommend!
One of our go to spots for Asian food in Dubuque.
This food is seriously some of the best around. I have been there 3 times in the last 2 months, and always delicious. The server Alicia was wonderful and I would recommend this establishment to anyone that wants a really, really delicious meal.
Saw on "Happy Cow" that this place had vegan options and they were familiar with what "vegan" means. They even had a dumpling side dish labeled as vegan, so you would think that is the case. I asked the waitress if the Vegetable Hibachi could be made vegan. She said it was but went back to check and confirmed that it was. When the dish came out the rice clearly had egg in it. They then replaced the fried rice with jasmine but the dish wasn't that great. Very disappointed.
Waited for 20 min. No one showed up at the table. Other people were served, not sure why we were invisible.
Dubuque doesn't deserve a thai place this good. Really great find. And I'm kidding, it's just really good, Dubuque deserves it.
Great people, great performance!
Amazing service (I forgot his name but early 20s brown hair), he was accommodating and kind. Food was spiced spectacularly and came out fresh and hot. Beautiful store and great workers!
Delicious; we really liked the sauces on our Thai basil w shrimp & cashew chicken Looking forward to trying more on the menu. Very nice dining space, too. Happy we tried it!
Good food.
I have got to say. I am honestly shocked at the bad and lack of service I got here. I brought my fiance and mother to this restaurant, we took a table and waited for someone to greet us and take our order... 10 minutes past and no word from anyone. The place was not busy at all, only maybe a 2 or 3 customers were in the building and the staff did see us come in, it is not like we were hidden, we were right up front. Yet, the staff behind the bar was not doing much at all. Did not even look at us, greet us or even acknowledged our presence. When my fiance asked if anyone is going to help us, the person behind the bar gave the most disgusting look to us and said "just a moment" in a very rude tone. At that moment, I gave them the privilege to not help us at all and left.
It's places like Pete's I absolutely cannot support or tolerate. When your staff cannot even do the bare minimum of greeting your guests, I cannot tolerate that. I can honestly say I will NEVER be back here. In fact, I will be telling all of my friends and family to not even bother with this place. I had this place once, it was okay, but when the service I experienced was this horrific, it completely ruins my total respect for this establishment. I will never support a business like this, ever.
great Pad Thai!
Moved back to the Midwest from California & have missed Thai food ever since… until we found Pete’s!! Woohoo!!! Just had Pad Thai with tofu, Thai Basil with chicken & jasmine rice, and crab Rangoon. Yummmmmm!!!!!
This place is a gem! Nicely balanced flavors on traditional Thai food. Truly some of the best food in Dubuque.
Delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. Had gluten free and vegan options. We had the spring rolls and the pumpkin curry. Curry had just the right amount of heat and spices. And our server was great.
We had them cater for our small wedding this past weekend and the food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Everyone loved it and asked who catered. It was a big hit. Absolutely look forward to the day I can return to Dubuque and eat at Pete's Thai kitchen again!
It’s always been good! Once in a great while we get someone new and things come out wrong, but that’s to be expected when someone is training! Give a little grace. Get a little grace.
First time, very delicious!
Excellent food, some of the best Thai food I’ve had in many years outside of Thailand.
First time here and more than impressed. I'm not well versed in Thai food, but flavors were not in short supply. I have tried to limit my portions when eating, but I couldn't help myself. I ate the whole plate and waddled away. Super satisfied and will definitely return.only reason for the 4 rating is to be sure people won't ignore this review.
It's amazing that you can find a really authentic Thai restaurant in a Midwest town. The decorations make you feel like you are in Thailand. Not to mention the food, it's really good and flavorful. Recommend to check out if you are nearby.
Food was good. Had great flavor and seemed like quality ingredients. However it took an hour and a half to be delivered. Was cold by the time it got to us. Restaurant couldnt get a hold of the delivery driver. I will never ever ever order delivery from here ever again. The customer service was terrible. They use eatstreet as their ordering platform and they staff their own drivers, but they told me they did not and acted like it was out of their control.
Great Thai food
I don't know if I hit an off day or something was off about my experience here. The other reviews are glowing and I took them up on a good time and food.
IT WAS NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING!
The service is atrocious this is my first time here and I don't think I'll ever be back.
We were never greeted the by the lady, I believe to be the hostess stared at us didn't say a word left and came back and said if you guys want to dine please take a seat. It was easily a two minute window to be allowed to be greeted or told the jist of what to do. We had to wait over 15 minutes for waters and menus. People that came after us were served with menus and waters before us.
They forgot to put in orders for an appetizer. The waiter brought us a check before we were finished eating. Didn't even check to see if we were done, or needed anything else. Then said he had to come over early because it is such a hassle to spit checks.
It was a busy but not that busy. I have worked in the service Industry I understand hectic days, being understaffed, and getting into tunnel vision. This encounter was just plain rude and extremely poor service. It should never be this way.
It was good food and I would recommend it for that but I would only ever do carryout from here. I also wanted to say it is definitely not traditional Thai. Definitely not a good experience and I will not be back or recommending to anyone
Good but a lil spendy… when you’re the only authentic Thai game in town you can charge whatever you want.
Great waiter. Food came quickly... but if you order the peanut Thai, you'd better like peanut butter because that is basically the sauce. Not what I expected at all, very overpowering... and I like peanut butter!
The restaurant has amazing artwork and the atmosphere is great! Our server, Macy, was great and suggested the Chicken Satay skewers which were perfect! Chicken Pad Thai was a perfect first meal for our first time at the restaurant!
Impressed with their food. Delicious.
Food was awesome. Atmosphere was cool. Will definitely go back.
Went with my wife and 2 friends. Apps were all fantastic (potstickers, crab rangoons and spring rolls) and my entree was incredible (roasted duck curry). Will be back!
A MUST stop whenever we are in Dubuque. Great drinks, great food, and nice service! Incredibly vegan friendly which is my favorite part!
i get the steak & chicken happi hibachi combo all the time its so good, and their crab rangoons are good. different than most places but very good.
This would be an exceptional restaurant anywhere!
I enjoyed the pineapple shrimp fried rice as well as many other delicious dishes and the restaurant environment. Very nice place!!!
Very good and authentic Thai.
It was a little loud, that's the only somewhat negative thing I can say.
Nice place, great food. Outdoor seating aswell.
The food was great and the service was fantastic. The house noodles and lemongrass mojito were really, really good and we will be back for sure.
Great variety on menu. Friendly staff. Got seated quickly on a Friday evening. Food was great. Restaurant is decorated in Thai theme. Will stop again!!
Great food, 1st time havThai food very good. Relaxing atmosphere.
This place has amazing art, a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and a friendly staff. We rolled into Dubuque powerful hungry and Pete's was an all around excellent experience.
Once again, Google brought us to an amazing eatery! And we are grateful. The staff was great. The restaurant is beautiful and so unexpected off the beaten drag, tucked away in a neighborhood, and based on our experience, 3 hours one way, is not too far to go for lunch.😋
Fantastic food! Highly recommend.
This is a real treasure in Dubuque! Great food, friendly and attentive service, really nicely decorated. You must try it!
Went here on a cozy Sunday and had lunch. Was not very busy at all and the hostess/waitress was super friendly and helpful. Both of our dishes were incredible. Wish I lived in Dubuque just to continue going back here. Will always be a staple every time I go. Cannot recommend enough.
We ordered the Pad Thai and the Spicy Wok noodle dishes are were feeling left short. We got beef in one and chicken in the other and the meat pieces were huge and overcooked to where they were both extremely tough to chew. The spicy wok didn't have the slightest bit of spice either which was disappointing. Also we ordered the chicken potstickers and were left disappointed by the freshness of them for the price, we didn't finish them. The food in general just did not taste fresh, especially considering we ordered it during Friday dinner time. We definitely want to give them another chance because we know others like this place so much, we'll just maybe have to order something else next time.
Pete's delivered a great meal at a reasonable price. The staff was great, helpful and engaging.
They were here quick! I was a little bit surprised that the Thai spring wraps were wrapped in cellophane… I had never seen that before… But the food was spot on! They even added the tomatoes like I asked.
Very nice place and great staff.
I liked everything about this place. Food, atmosphere location, server, beer selection.
Blonde young girl with glasses, totally inattentive. Brought drinks once, never came back to ask if we needed anything else. Came to table exactly three times, once to give drinks and take order, twice to bring food and third time to bring check. Got her attention halfway through meal to try to order drinks, she made eye contact looked away and proceeded to go into kitchen. Appeared to only want to joke and talk with friends instead of doing her actual job. Everyone else is awesome, food is great, but will not frequent the establishment again if she is working.
Food and service were both excellent. The Roasted duck curry was a wonderful combination of savory, spicy, and sweet. Will definitely be returning and suggesting to all my friends.

Really good food and great cocktails!
The food was very good. Fast, fresh, and not too spicy with great flavor. I had the spicy wak noodles and will be returning for more. The staff were very friendly with prompt service.
Great selection.
Great place! Food was amazing, the staff was very nice, attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect.
My second time there and it wasn't good either time. The service was poor, the atmosphere wasn't very good and the food was funky. Packed full of trashy local hipsters and small seating spaces. Lights too bright and cold temps. The thai ice tea tasted like cheap homemade sweet tea drowning in heavy cream. Strange experience all around. Not worth a 3rd try.
Food and service is great. Love the atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be returning!😁
They have lots of gluten free options! So good! Great service!
A tremendous meal in every respect: courteous service, the food was prepared very quickly, and it was sumptuous.
We were passing through town and stopped here for lunch. Everything was fantastic! The duck curry was excellent, perfect amount of heat and flavor.
Excellent experience
Delicious dinner for 5. The food was fresh and hot. Prices were just right fir the quality of food. Service was a little slow, staff didn't check back, and beverages were not refilled.
May have been a new server? 5 star overall!
This place is absolutely amazing! They are fast friendly reasonably priced and most importantly DELICIOUS! The shrimp is huge! And always perfectly cooked and delicious! The atmosphere is unique and calming. I never knew I liked Thai food until I ate here. The workers like Coleen and bosses like Lindsey make this my absolute favorite places to eat! It’s a must try!
Food was good. Portions were big.
Great Thai lunch. We ordered a noodle dish and hibachi dish with our fresh rolls. Great service and great food!
Was here two days in a row while visiting Dubuque. Great Pad Thai on day one. Duck Curry on day two was the best curry I’ve had. Really interesting place and great staff. Next time I’m in Dubuque, I’ll be back.
Last month found this place by accident. LOVE IT ❤️ LOVE IT ❤️ LOVE IT ❤️
Food is always great, but I waited almost 2 and a half hours to get my food delivered to me. I ordered right after they opened delivery at 430, and it is 630 now and still don't have my food.
Excellent food and service! Good fresh quality ingredients. Perfect service with enthusiasm and a smile! All presented in a uniquely decorated old building. Don't miss the experience!
INCREDIBLE. it's been a long time since I've seen a server be so passionate and excited about their job. our server, Hope, was absolutely incredible. she's very knowledgeable, excitable, and sweet. oh.. and our food was delicious :) we got the chicken egg rolls, potstickers, and the spicy thai noodles: one with beef and one with tofu. all of it was so delicious and flavorful. can't wait to come back!
