While the food was good, they felt it was more important to service to go orders than guests in their dining room. It was half hour for soup, over an hour for the main course. Just not ok.

Diner Review №2

Always great food, highly recommend!

Diner Review №9

Great Thai food. Love the lunch combo that includes an app and a drink

Diner Review №10

Amazing food!

Diner Review №11

Good food. Very consistent

Diner Review №12

I have loved Siamville for YEARS. Their service is impeccable, they are quick, kind, and their food is the best in town. My favorites are pad Thai and basil beef, I’d easily eat those everyday for the rest of my life. If you need a good Thai restaurant, come here, it’s the best in CR. Takeout is quick too, and service inside is even better. Shoutout to Beatrice, always my waiter and known her for years she’s wonderful 💗

Diner Review №13

Friendly staff, chill atmosphere, great food, what's not to like? I love it here; it's always a treat.

Diner Review №15

This has been a long favorite restaurant of mine since first coming to visit Cedar Rapids, and now living here. I have introduced many friends to this restaurant, and they always have amazing things to say and always plan to come back with even more people. Highly recommend! When you go, you need to try the Thai iced tea and spicy rangoons!

Diner Review №16

This is the best Thai food around! I get the Basil Stir Fry all the time (add a fried egg, it's worth it), but the Pad Thai and the Yellow Curry Stir fry are excellent too! The staff is really kind also

Diner Review №17

Had a nice dinner of Tom Kah and spring rolls, while my friend had Pad Thai. Everything was delicious served fresh.

Diner Review №18

A good choice for Thai food in the CR Metro. I enjoyed the crab rangoons, pot stickers, Pad Thai, Masman Curry, and of course the Thai Iced Tea! Great food, good service, and an enjoyable atmosphere! Definitely one of the better restaurants to eat at in town.👍🏼

Diner Review №19

It's okay. Pricey.

Diner Review №20

Delicious!! Love that you can specify the level of spice on a 5 level scale.

Diner Review №21

First time eating Thai for me, they did not disappoint. The waitress was very nice and it wasn't very busy on a Friday evening when we were there.

Diner Review №22

My Thai curry tasted more like Indian curry. At least it was spicy.

Diner Review №23

There were plenty of gluten free options and the food was super tasty.

Diner Review №24

Love the food here, kind staff as well

Diner Review №25

If I could order food from Siamville everyday I would.😍🤤

Diner Review №26

Diner Review №30

Wonderful welcome, atmosphere, service, and food! Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The pricing is also very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I highly recommend trying this place if you like this type of cuisine!

Diner Review №31

2nd time here. Place just over half full 6:30 on Saturday. Pot Stickers large and delicious. Curry chicken for me with level 2 out of 5 for spiciness and that was plenty. Wife had beef spicy noodles level 2 also. Large portions. Enough leftovers for lunch next day.

Diner Review №32

Diner Review №33

I have had my fair share of Thai food and this place ranks as OK in my book. Nothing to write home about but it'll scratch the itch for some decent Thai food that I consider to be quite pricey for what it was.

It's difficult to mess up fried food and crab rangoons we're delicious and fried well.

The larb had good flavor but on the mushier/soggy side that I am not used to as the toasted rice usually helps. It was actually pretty spicy which was appreciated.

the pad Thai with chicken had 3 small pieces of flattened chicken. That was disappointing. The noodles were not like the usual rice noodles that pad Thai is usually cooked with. It had a stale chewy texture that I didn't find too bothersome but not what I was expecting since rice noodles are usually soft. Not a deal breaker yet but adding chopped scallions/green onions would have been a nice touch.

Overall food was pretty good but........... 3 hours later my stomach is cramping, I have the runs, chills and feeling weak. I think the food here got me sick because all I had earlier in the day was a PB and j.

It didn't help that the waitress was apparently sick. Coughing, sneezing, sniffling. She was very nice and it would have been a much better experience if she wasn't coughing and sneezing while walking around the dining room area.

Diner Review №34

At 6 pm on a Saturday, I was expecting a more crowded restaurant. Color me surprised when I saw it was only half full.

I didn’t get our waitress’s name but she was attentive, friendly, and timely.

We ordered crab rangoons for our appetizer. Crispy skin, a beautiful golden brown, and freshly made, these were appetizers to be proud of. The filling was hot and savory, cream cheese mixed with real crab. Not imitation crab, the real deal. And that sweet and spicy chili sauce added amazing flavor. The only downside was that I found the sauce to be kind of thin.

I had purchased the Pad Kee Mao with chicken. The portions were an impressive size and the taste did not disappoint. Even after stir frying, the vegetables still had a good amount of crunch and texture, nothing limp or squishy. The chicken was a bit dry but still flavorful and worked well with the dish overall. Though I did find it a little salty, the tea and water provided helped a lot.

As a heads up, I requested a more mild version of my dish. The Pad Kee Mao is normally very spicy so if you aren’t used to spicy foods, just make a request to your server to reduce the spice level.

It has been years since I went here but I’m glad to see the quality was as good as I remembered.

Diner Review №35

Food was outstanding! We had great service and prices are reasonable. We will definitely be coming back regularly.
Ordered
Pineapple fried rice
Green curry
Thai noodles peanut sauce!(star of the show)

Diner Review №36

Diner Review №37

Favorite place to eat in the wholeeeee world! They have the best fried tofu! Great options for vegans.

Diner Review №38

Wow. Best idea ever, really. My wife and I just randomly stopped in, not expecting such an incredible meal. Would absolutely go back in a heartbeat. Everything was top notch, and you can tell they make everything in house, including the sauce. One of the tastiest, most worthwhile places we've been to in a LONG time. A little treasure.

Diner Review №39

This place is great. I only eat at 4 or so restaurants in the area and Siamville stays in steady rotation. Try the masaman currry :)

Diner Review №40

Las camareras son muy agradables. El servicio es rápido. Me gusta el curry verde con tofu frito. El té de Tailandia es un poco más dulce, pero la comida es buena en general.

Diner Review №41

Diner Review №42

Great food and excellent service 👌 👍

Diner Review №43

Amazing Food. Not fancy surroundings but food is Fantastic.
Will definitely be making this a regular stop when in town for business or pleasure. It will be worth the 5 hour drive.

Diner Review №44

Diner Review №45

Best dinner I've had in Cedar Rapids in quite awhile. Food is absolutely delicious, and easy to customize. Staff was attentive and very friendly. I will definitely be back soon!

Diner Review №46

Best Pad Thai

Diner Review №47

Not sure about the food as I went by myself and sat there at a table with nothing but a menu for 15 minutes :( I left

Diner Review №48

Best Thai food this side of the mason dixon. Crab rangoons are to die for

Diner Review №49

Nice restaurant with very friendly staff. Great Phad Thai. I prefer the beef over the chicken. If you order the green curry at level 4 it will be a delicious spicy flavour. Parking always seems busy but the restaurant doesn’t get overly crowded.

Diner Review №50

The food was amazing!

Diner Review №51

Diner Review №52

This place is great. From the spring rolls, to the green curry, all around great food. Highly recommend and very reasonably priced.

Diner Review №53

What this place lacks in location (corner of a strip mall) and decor, it makes up for in flavors. Always amazing food, wonderful and friendly service!

Diner Review №54

Ordered chicken pad Thai to-go, got home and it was chicken fried rice. No big deal, I understand communication can sometimes be difficult. I called and told them the situation, they told me the server heard chicken fried rice Kind of acted like i did it intentionally to get a free meal or something. I come here regularly, I’ve never ordered fried rice, I’ll never order fried rice. They said they’d make me the pad thai and I have to bring the rice back. No offer to refund, no credit, now I have to drive all the way back there to get the order I wanted originally and they’ll just throw the rice away. I’ll be choosing a different thai restaurant from now on.

Diner Review №55

The server was great, but the pad Thai wan't my favorite.

Diner Review №56

I loved this food; it was delicious! Great experience, would go again.

Diner Review №57

Incredible Pad Thai

Diner Review №58

Not much of a thai food fan. Went as someone else picked restaurant.

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

Great food and a very friendly staff. One weird thing with me is their drink glasses are very robust and a bit heavy and they have glass tops on their tables. I thought I was going to break glass a couple times. Haha. I would come back!

Diner Review №61

Definitely some amazing food. Been here numerous times and never been dissapointed. Definitely give it a try.

Diner Review №62

Awesome food if you like Thai like we do. The bathroom area and back hallway could use a good deep cleaning and some reorganization but the food and service was great.

Diner Review №63

Always delicious food and friendly staff.

Diner Review №64

Diner Review №65

Order was ready 15 minutes later than what I was told and had to sit there staring at wall the entire time. Ordered the Yellow Currie, flavor was fine but ordered extra beef, I got four strips of beef in all of the currie. Ordered Crab Ragoon as an app, idk how they pulled it off but i was actually colder than room temperature. Probably the last time I order Thai food from this location, will be sticking with Nara.

Diner Review №66

Such a cute place! Great atmosphere and authentic food. The lunch menu is priced super well.

Diner Review №67

Basil fried rice is brilliant

Diner Review №68

Diner Review №69

You can't beat the service, price, or quality of food. It's all so good. Never disappointed with my order.

Diner Review №70

Love everything I’ve tried! Great portions, and friendly staff.

Diner Review №73

Diner Review №74

This place hasn't disappointed so far.

Diner Review №75

Sometimes, we’re in the mood for something delicious, delicate, and fresh. We’re a fan of delicately scented souffles that vanish into hot, eggy air at the touch of a fork, and of oysters so fresh that the only taste is that of the sea. Still — and we type this with fingers strongly redolent of the ripe pecorinu cheese we had for lunch — there is a certain appeal to food that fills the air with its scent. While we are all too aware of the pleasures of Taiwanese stinky tofu, ripe durian from Malaysia and the notorious Filipino condiment bagoong, we would be remiss if we didn't add curry to the list of pungent dishes that invoke the senses. They make you pay attention, those things. While there are any number of curry dishes available in Thai and Indian restaurants in the Corridor, I am especially fond of the curry and crab rangoons offered at Siamville. Despite being named after an absurd fictitious locale, Siamville serves up a spicy fare with smiling faces. The heat can be elevated high enough to make the most ardent spice connoisseur perspire.

Diner Review №76

Amazing food! My husband and I have been coming here for over 5 years and the food/service is always great 😊

Diner Review №77

Great Thai food, which is unusual around the Midwest. Nice atmosphere too. Would recommend giving it a shot.

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №79

I have been going here for over a decade. You seriously can't go wrong with any of the dishes. Always, always wonderful service! The spicy crab rangoons are a must.

Diner Review №80

Diner Review №81

Phenomenal food! Best rangoons in town. I'm not an eggroll person but I loved their summer rolls! The Kua Kai was fantastic. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!

Diner Review №82

Diner Review №83

Great food and flavors

Diner Review №84

Diner Review №85

The crab Rangoons were pretty good but they served us ROTTEN CHICKEN!!!

Diner Review №86

Baked before eating some noodles and fried ice cream and it was the greatest experience. Amazing food.

Diner Review №87

First time in a Thai Restaurant and me and my wife fell in love with the food. The flavors were amazing and their summers rolls were the best

Diner Review №88

Great food

Diner Review №89

Diner Review №90

Delicious as always. We get takeout monthly via Chomp or curbside. My wife loves the Panang Curry, and my favorite is the Pad Thai Woonsen. My considering price, realize the portions are huge, with easily enough for two meals.

Diner Review №91

Friendly service, amazing food with a lot of options and specialties.

Diner Review №92

Diner Review №93

Diner Review №94

Great little spot for Thai food. Excellent service.

Diner Review №95

Best Thai food in the area. I love Thai food and have lived for a bit in Thailand. The thing I like about this place is the service and the willingness to accept the customized orders.

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №97

Great Thai food
Service a bit slow but relax with a nice cup of tea in a quiet setting.

Diner Review №98

Great food, definitely on the spicier side. Huge proportions, if traveling split a dish.

Diner Review №99

Diner Review №100

Delicious

Diner Review №101

Nice quiet place to have dinner. Our server was attentive and took good care of us. I had a seafood dish, and the shrimp, scallops, and calamari were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. My wife ordered one of the soups and loved it. We're definitely coming back!

Diner Review №102

Food was delicious, patio and entry could really use a touch up and cleaning. But overall great, service was really good and did I mention the food was on point!

Diner Review №103

Diner Review №104

Very good

Diner Review №105

Diner Review №106

Authentic, super flavorful, and definitely worth the money. If it's your first time come for lunch to try more (appetizers) for less $.

They do really fast takeout. If you dine in, there are only about 12 tables and it's a cozy dive. Just don't go to the bathroom while you're there.

I'll always come back!

Diner Review №107

First time ordering from here. My Curry Fried rice was outstanding! Spicy and flavorful as I hoped. Thank you! I will order again Soon!

Diner Review №108

The best Thai food in Iowa and I’ve been to Thailand several times. Good prices, good portions.

Diner Review №109

Stopped in for lunch! Was great food and service!!

Diner Review №110

We are avid fans of Siamville and can’t speak highly enough about it!!! Beatrice is a gem and the food is impeccable… we truly appreciate it being in the heart of Cedar Rapids!

Diner Review №111

Great Curry's, great fried rices, can't find a bad dish on their menu. One of our favorite places to get food in town.

Diner Review №112

SUPER...that's all I have to say! Yum

Diner Review №113

Diner Review №114

Great food and wonderful service! I had never tried thai food befor but I found my go to spot!😊🤩 if you haven't been I'd definitely recommend going

Diner Review №115

I love the food here, but this is a whole new level of good service:
We just ordered about $120 of food for share with our relatives who don't normally eat Thai.
This was the first time in a year (covid) that any restaurant got our To-Go order perfect. Nothing missing, nothing wrong, spice-levels as requested.
I realized many restaurants are not set up for the amount of to-go orders they are receiving, so I'm patient with them. But it was fantastic to have a perfect order from Siamville.
THANK YOU!
Caveat: We ordered very early.

Diner Review №116

DANK.

Diner Review №117

Food is always great. Do prefer their curry options overall.

Diner Review №118

Awesome

Diner Review №119

Great food. Good service. Reasonable prices

Diner Review №120

My all time favorite restaurant!!! This has been my family's go to takeout spot since I was a kid. We've been eating here for +15 years. The service is great and the quality is excellent.
I love bringing friends here, they are always impressed. Especially folks who've lived in CR their whole lives and never heard of Siamville!

Their dining room is lovely, I think they're renovating right now (it looks great) Fantastic vegetarian and gluten free options. My mom is allergic to gluten and is hesitant to eat out but she completely trusts Siamville. AND they're doing an awesome job of upholding safety standards for COVID-19!

My Family's go to order (we always call in)
-2 fresh spring rolls, shrimp, extra peanut sauce
- Pad Thai Woonsen, chicken
-Tom Kha Gai, chicken (it's amazing!!! I've tried recreating this at home and can never make it as good as Siamvilles')
- Pumpkin curry, veggie (I think this used to be seasonal but it might be a permanent menu items now! So so good, big creamy chunks of pumpkin in a savory sauce. My favorite!)
- We always get annother curry but can never agree on which. I'm partial to Masman
- My brother's favorite is Pad Cha Pla, spicy fried haddock, it's too hot for me but I always steal a bite because the fish is so good!

I cannot say enough good things about Siamville! Who would have thought that tucked in the back corner of a st ripmall was such a hidden gem. We're lucky to have top notch Thai Cuisine here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa!

Diner Review №121

Diner Review №122

Customer service was fantastic. Super nice and was very helpful on finding what wine I would like best. I would give 5 stars for that. The food was okay. It was my first time eating Thai so it could’ve just been not my preference. I did find a couple hairs in it, but benefit of the doubt it could’ve came from home because we did take it out.

**update**
I did try it again and the food was better. Custumer service was still great. I do believe I picked a dish that wasn’t to my taste buds the first time.

Diner Review №123

Some of the best food in town!

Diner Review №124

Red curry, pangag curry, pad thai and tom yum soup is delicious

Diner Review №125

Diner Review №126

Best Thai food around. Good service. Great atmosphere. Their chicken curry is the best. My wife and I love to go here on date night. She gets the pad thai cashew and loves. Always a treat to go here.

Diner Review №127

Diner Review №128

Excellent food, authentic Thai, and reasonably priced. Portions are large and staff are always at the top of their game. I have spent a lot of time in Thailand and am glad I have found somewhere that does Thai food well in Iowa. Very pleasant employees. Would return for sure. We love good Thai food

Diner Review №133

First time trying and the food was amazing will definitely be going back. And they also have delivery.

Diner Review №134

My fiancée first introduced me to Siamville in the middle of the covid-19 quarantine. It's since become one of my favorite places to order food from.

The prices are good, the food is delicious every time, and extra care is put into every order, like wrapping the hot dishes in foil inside the to-go containers to keep them warm.

I recommend the Kua Kai with pork or chicken, and the fried dumplings with the plum sauce is amazing; I don't know any other restaurant that has it. I like to top it off with the sticky rice for dessert, it's got just the right balance of sweetness to go with the sesame seeds on it.

If you've got the time, check this place out, it's one of the best places in CR.

Diner Review №135

Best Chicken Pad Thai ever

Diner Review №136

Hidden gem in Cedar Rapids. Always great food and a great price. Perfect date night!

Diner Review №137

We had lunch today and they took every single precaution to have a very sterile place. The food is excellent. I had the chicken kua Kai and was delicious. Highly recommended.

Diner Review №144

Excited to discover this great Thai!

Diner Review №146

I love this place! very good food I've only been here twice but each dish was absolutely exquisite and so fulfilling. The appetizers are quite delicious as well..definitely going back I wanna try everything lol

Diner Review №148

Diner Review №149

Very bland. Not enough flavor, just soupy and mixed together. This place used to be great. If you do eat here, order it spicy.
Visited Tuesday Jan 14 at about 7pm. Ordered yellow curry tofu. Guess I'll give it one more try and ask for it to be extra spicy.

Wonderful Thai food right in my neighborhood. An unassuming place in a strip mall, but the food is excellent! Go straight for the chef's specialities (Pad Cha Pla a favorite of mine) or try their excellent Pad Thai. Great lunch specials. Food is delicious. Staff is friendly. Not a thrilling atmosphere for those who like fancy but we dont' care. :)

Diner Review №159

No frills, good value tasty food.

Diner Review №185

Wow first time there and they nailed it! I had the pad thai. My thoughts were if they cook that good then i can try more.....well it was as awesome as i thought. I wasn't sure what to expect before going there as many Asian themed restaurants tend to over do the decor and try to make up for average or below average food with glitz and glam (asian style). Well upon walking in you are surrounded with a calm atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable. Once seated you realize the subdued lighting (I went while it was sunny out). They used the sunlight to primarily light the place. Though it was darker than your typical restaurant it was still nice. The prices are more than reasonable as the red snapper meal is just $16. I still got the pad thai. It had no frills no curry (not that any was offered...no problem there) the flavors were magnificent i could taste everything separately and together at once. What a way to eat. If your in the mood for great asian food eat here you will love it!

Diner Review №186
