We heard a lot of good things about this place & our expectation was not fully met . Tom Yum soup was great , flavorful with hints of lemon but the chop suey wasn’t that great unfortunately. But serving portion was great . The frontman was helpful. Prices are justifiable. Not a fancy place , but might a be good option for takeout .
May be next time we will get better experience here .

I’ve been into this restaurant for a while. My fav place for Thai food in the South Bend/ Mishawaka area. Tbh, i found no better place for a Thai food than this one. The restaurant is a little bit small, but don’t let it distract you. The food is super tasty and the amount of food is huge.

Bill (the owner) and Ed and Ploy (the receptionists) are expert in Thai food, especially Ploy. I have tried dozens of dishes in here, so far none of them disappointed me. I’ll absolutely come back to explore more

The food was okay. All of it was decent, but I was disappointed that the curry was not spicy at all. Fortunately they had plenty of Sriracha to help spice it up a bit, but It's definitely not hot like the Thai food I get back home in Texas.

Update: I tried the Chinese foods here and they were disappointing. Hot and sour soup was TERRIBLE, thick dark brown, no egg, no tofu, no meat and no flavor! Portion on the orange chicken didn't even cover the bottom of a standard takeout container with goopy sauce. Probably should stick to the thai menu here.

On a gloomy and rainy day, the warm curry spices with coconut milk and just enough chili oil was true comfort food. Years ago the food was so bland I had given up, but I'm glad I circled back! They even had a gluten free menu.

Best Thai around! Panang Curry and Pad Thai both chicken and vegetables. Medium heat level. I try and stop in on the weekends .Delicious! Support local!

I went in for some food and they simply would not serve me After learning about my shellfish allergy. They put my safety far above anything else and for me that deserves 5s all the way across the board.

Bill and his wife make the best Asian food hands down and it isn't even close. My go to is the general tso chicken and pork lo mein. Both are the best I've ever had anywhere! I highly recommend the Thai hot basil fried rice too. Support a local business that has phenomenal food and even better owners!

Most authentic Thai food outside of the West Coast! Personable service, hot food and not a long wait time. I got the massaman curry and the gaeng karee curry, and they were the best I've had outside of Seattle!

EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Taste of Asia happened to be short staffed when I arrived, and between the employee who took my order and the kitchen, my request for no onions got lost, and my chicken fried rice was served with (I picked them up).

HOWEVER, when I pointed this out to the owner, he immediately set out to have the order remade. I stopped them, explaining that I really had to go (plus I don't like to waste food), so he refunded me the full cost!

It's refreshing when a business owns up to a mistake and is willing to go that far to make it up to the customer.

Best food ever

Cute little place. Authentic! Front desk lady was very sweet, personable, and hospitable! She knew some regulars as they walked thru the door and was very present with each person. The spring rolls were amazing! The small noodles were huge and filling! Same with the fried rice small to go box. They give you your money’s worth and go above and beyond! Very pleased!

This place is fantastic! We like the green curry with chicken and pad Thai with pork. Pad kee mao was also really good. Crab rangoons were also excellent. I’m looking forward to trying new menu items as the future.

I’ve called ahead several times, and ordered a qt of egg drop soup for pick up. It’s delicious, customer service is out standing. I think they all know their customers by name!!!

We’re so lucky to have this restaurant in our town. Always good, always fresh, and never disappointed. I always get the Khoa Soi, Drunken Noods, or green curry, but I’m sure everything is amazing.

Some of the best Asian food in the area! I usually get Chinese food like General Tso's but today I got the Panang Curry and it is amazing! The people here are also extremely friendly and go above and beyond with their customer service. Highly recommend.

This is by far one of THE best Asian cuisine restaurants I’ve ever had.

The best in town! Great soups and appetizers (especially the teriyaki beef sticks.) I usually don't go outside my comfort zone, but here I'll take their recommendations and try other dishes on occasion. Whether you prefer chicken, beef, pork or shrimp, it's all good. They'll make it spicy to order (I prefer dry roasted thai chilies, yum!) and even do add-ons for a small upcharge.

The food was perfect! We ordered 2 bowls of Koi sow for the two of us and it didn’t disappoint! We're so happy we found this place. We live 1hr away but whenever we are in town we bring Taste of Asia home for dinner.

I travel around a lot for work/my hobby and whenever I come to a new city I always try pad see ew. This place has AMAZING pad see ew, the noodles were flat and thick and the perfect texture. The crab rangoon and hot and sour soup was also delicious. Food was so good I got take out both days I was in town. If I’m ever in the Mishawaka/South Bend area again I’ll definitely be back!

My everyday’s place to have lunch! Perfect! This is call Putu’s special. It’s chicken meatball soup. Very delicious 🤤 my addiction in months 😂 I will come to have this as long as they open 😂You should try it *don’t have it spicy if you’re not usually eat spicy food*

Tastiness of food is waaay better than the ambience. It's in a new strip mall location but definitely has that 'hole in a wall' vibe. There is clutter in the dining section, which seems just like folding chairs and tables haphazardly arranged. But don't let the décor fool you!
The food is flavorful and layered in tastes. The Thai options are many and delecatable.
If you just want good food and not trying to impress anyone, this is the spot for you.

Good food for takeout, but not a great place to dine in. The people are friendly and it's clean, but ZERO atmosphere. If you need a quick lunch and then get back to work it's great!

Really busy. Slammed, one man trying his best to cover counter, phones, orders, pickup. Sets expectations on wait time. Smells great, gives cookies. If these are any indicators, signs point to amazing food. Be patient and generous bc this man even super busy takes the time to make sure yr order is right and gives you all the toppings to complete the correct flavor profile. UPDATE: amazing food off the Thai menu. Rarely found northern dish. Absolutely DO NOT skip this place if ever in South Bend. Comes unspicy, add your own with one x or 3 xxx chili flakes. Also comes with Chinese medium grain rice. TOA, please add jasmine rice to compliment Thai dishes.

A top notch take out Thai food restaurant. The food quality is excellent! Call ahead for your order or plan to wait a long time for it to be ready. Taste of Asia is our go to Asian restaurant in the Mishawaka / South Bend area.

Hands down best Thai food in town

Me and my boyfriend went to eat there for lunch. We both got fried rice and shared an egg drop soup and crab Rangoon’s. The food is actually really good and you get a substantial amount of food for a great price. I was expecting a smaller portion than what they have is because of how low the prices are, I would recommend this place to everyone. Also the service is amazing when we went, I think his name was John helped us. I wish I could give 10 stars.

Best place to eat in the grape, main shopping area. $6-7 lunch specials. Right next door to a Starbucks that has mobile ordering. Parking lot can get a little crowded so be careful. Super friendly staff!! Don't be afraid to ask them for recommendations

If you aren’t ordering your Asian takeout from here your are sorely missing out. Been looking for a place with good chop suey as it reminds me of my grandmother and this place did NOT disappoint. The more traditional Thai dish Pad Ka Prow with pork was extremely flavorful. The owner was so friendly! We look forward to more dinners to try other dishes!

Absolute best Thai restaurant we've been to in a long time. The owner's wife is from Northern Thailand, and so there is a bit of Burmese influence in some of the dishes. I ordered a spicy lettuce wrap beef dish (don't remember the name as I had the owner choose one of HIS favorites). I got "regular" spice level, which for most people, it was very hot for most people. It was perfect spice level for me. The flavor was awesome, and the spice level had me sweating. My wife ordered the Pad See Ew. She absolutely loved it. She hadn't had that flavorful a Chicken Pad See Ew in over 20 years. The noodles were tender and absorbed the flavor of the sauce very well. The chicken was tender and juicy. My sons ordered the Beef Lo Mein and the Sweet and Sour Chicken, respectively. They devoured it quickly, with the exception of my youngest, who ate only half because of the portion size being so plentiful.
We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

I had the General Tso's chicken and crab ragoon. It was good and I had the dinner size portion that I could eat on twice. Not too shabby, I liked it.

Never tried Thai food before. The workers are all very friendly, masked, and polite. They spoke with me my entire visit as I waited, had a constant stream of customers 90% of Wich they named and talked with momentarily as they collected theyr carryouts and the gentleman knowing I hadn't tried it before even broke down the steps he uses when putting the meal together so when I returned home to assemble the Fresh ingredients they send with you I had a masterpiece of flavor and texture. Great experience and I will be back shortly for some more food and to get pictures for my reviews!

The chicken lemon grass is sooo good. It takes a while to make, so order ahead of time. This is a place where if you want super for 5:00 or 6:00, you need to order before 3:00. They are closed from 3-4:30 to resupply and start cooking again. Have had Pad Tai, House LoMein, Tai spring rolls, and other dishes. Never had a meal yet, that wasn't flavorful. The guys who take the orders and run the place, are so nice and helpful.

Went here when I first moved, and it was terrible. The chicken was rubbery and chewy, drowned in what might as well been a tub of syrup. After years and a coworker saying that quality level is not normal, I gave them a second chance. Food tasted pretty good. A bit dry, but enjoyable. Will probably go there for a third time. Fingers crossed it stays enjoyable.
