Generous portions of spicy traditional Thai cuisine served in an unpretentious setting.
I normally love this place but not anymore!! I ordered carry out and picked my food up and went to my hotel. The sundried beef that was $17 was way overcooked and a horrible portion size. I figured you live and you learn and not to order that again because most of the time when I’m in town and I go for lunch it is really good. Then towards the end of the month I did my expense report and found the restaurant added a $12 tip. When I called to dispute it they asked for the copy of the receipt, which I had and sent over so they were FORCED to make up for their theft/mistake. I did get my $12 back but nothing additional for the inconvenience and have decided to never eat there again. Mistakes happen and it’s how you handle those mistakes that show your true character. I have a 2 strike policy and they used both in one experience. Keep your receipts because there are shady establishments out there and if I didn’t have a copy it would have not been resolved. First picture is the beef for $17 the next picture is $12 from almost any other restaurant.
Thai Spice was not my pallet. The staff were very welcoming, kind, and very friendly. I had Padd Priew Wann (11) and my husband got the Padd Kra Prow (9) and the Thai Hot Coffee for lunch. He said it just tasted like instant coffee. Both dishes were overly sweet. The lunch appetizers were okay. The soup just tasted like MaMa’s instant Tom Yom soup base with some veggies and the spring roll was mediocre.
Maybe their dinner menu has better options.
Friendly staff. Staff enjoyed sharing about food and culture of Thailand. Delicious appetizers, sticky rice with mango, and lychee! Regular unsweetened tea was less than mediocre. Tasted like the pitcher needed cleaned days ago. Pepsi products. Would like to try specialty teas offered and full meal options. Great dining experience! I will return here! Wait staff are friendly and work well to create a pleasant dining experience.
Thai Spice is hands down the best Thai restaurant that I've been to in the state. I have been to Thailand and find the food at Thai Spice to be just as good as what I had over there. The portions are huge, the service is wonderful, and the food never disappoints. If you love Thai food and have not tried this place out- give it a shot!
I've been wanting to try Thai Spice for such a long time. I will be dreaming about the shrimp rangoons for the rest of my life. The salad/fresh rolls were okay. Siam Square has better fresh rolls. Siam square also have shrimp rangoons, but the ones here topped them. The portions were huge, I had enough for 3 separate meals. The service was so nice and prompt. I can't wait to go back.
Dine in with order of satays to go. The menu says 6. There were only 5 in each of the orders. Cheap cheap cheap. Quality was good, except Pad Thai, that was too salty. It's too bad, really. This used to be a good place. Cutting back portions 3 times is NOT " generous portions." We have been going there since their old location. Sad and pathetic ready
Very good food
The catfish was amazing. The service was so good. I can't wait to come back
Totally amazing food. Must eat here!!
It's really a good place to eat thai food. They have several dishes that are excellent and the service is always good.
sooo yummy 💕
Their food isn’t great for overly priced!
Just wondered how did people give great views
This place was a long wait for pickup and I was picking up for door dash
Good food. It is a bit expensive but they do give you a lot. I can order food to go and two people can have a generous portion off one menu item
Best Thai food. Better than we have had even in Chicago. Good size portions. Very family friendly l
Food was great! Service was great! Definitely coming back to try more.. Crab Rangoon was amazing!
If you want authentic spicy…well, super spicy hot Thai food, this is the place. They retain the original flavors and authenticity. My go to place if family or friends doesn’t mind some heat.
Love love love this Thai place. A go-to when in the Greenwood area.
Undisclosed mandatory 18% gratuity and they expect tip on top of that. Service wasn't good.

Been going to years now. Use to be my favorite place to eat at. I don't think I will ever eat here again. The flavor of the rice just isn't the same.
Tom yum is too salty. Customer service is very poor, They automatic add 18% tip on the bill even 2 people... Never comming back.
Nice food, excellent sized portions
Their food is horrible. I love thai food but this is not it.

To quote Tina Turner, “You’re simply the best.”
The dinner portions are twice as much as you can eat, and probably three times as much as you should eat. There are other Thai restaurants around, and I will drive past them to get here every time.
Dining at this place for the past 15 years....what else can I say....
Awesome food, awesome staff
Raj B
Food is quality has gone down hill since it opened.
Staff was horribly rude. I had to leave it was so bad.
Ordered shrimp and scallops. Was my favorite. The scallops are now dime sized. They were regular quarter sized. Won’t get food here again. So disappointed.

The Spice is always nice! Delicious!
Thai Spice is our go-to Thai food restaurant! The staff is friendly, and the service is prompt. The food is always fresh and delicious! We enjoy dining in when we can and have ordered takeout on several occasions as well. Our favorite appetizers are the curry puffs, spring rolls, and crab rangoon. They offer different spice levels to suit your preference. The portions are large and we always have leftovers.
I called in my order and asked for a reasonable time to pick up food. I was there and waited 15.
Today I’m still eating what I ordered last night. 1 order can feed 2. The food was and is worth the wait.
Food was good, a bit sweet for my liking but still enjoyable. Got recommended to this place by a few people so drove 35 min from the Northwest side of Indy. Would definitely try it again particularly if I am in the area. Lunch menu is cheaper but smaller portions. Soup tasted amazing.
You can’t go wrong with the Pad Thai. This is our go to Thai place.
Great food!!
First time at Thai Spice. Staff and service was fantastic and food was even better. The portion are wonderful. Will definitely return.
Love this place. Had the Padd King Chicken this time. (Medium Hot) They have several levels of spicy: Mild to Thai Hot. If you like Thai or just trying something different, I recommend checking Thai Spice out.
This is by far the best tasting pad thai in Indy. You will always have leftovers and they taste just as good warmed up. Great food, great people, great prices for what you actually get.
It was the best Thai restaurant I've ever experienced. A mind-blowing tastebud extravaganza. Service is A++
I'm always generally impressed with Thai spice, but when I went up to Greenland recently, we asked for the food to be spicy and it was not. It was like the guy didn't understand what we were saying. Service was also kind of slow.
Me encantó visitarlo excelente lugar se lo recomiendo vayan y visitenlo
We enjoy coming here. The food is so delicious. I really recommend the shrimp Rangoon appetizer, it’s the best version of this dish that I’ve ever tried.
Oh, my! It’s always a treat when I get to go to Thai Spice. They have the best Pad Thai around, and are happy to customize. It is the only restaurant I’ve found so far that uses Thai eggplant in their Pad Pedd and it is my favorite dish on the menu. Their Japanese eggplant is almost as good. It’s charming and a great place to grab lunch. Don’t miss the satay, either :)
Probably my favorite restaurant
This hotel is a culinary gem! The food here is absolutely divine, easily the best I've ever had. What sets it apart is not just the delicious cuisine, but also the incredibly polite and supportive staff who go above and beyond to help you select the perfect dish. It's a dining experience you won't soon forget!
Just a small family operation, unpretentious, but great food. I'll stop back Everytime I return to Indiana.
Absolutely delicious. Best Tom Yum Soup anywhere. The Pad Thai chicken dish is out of this world. I Always stop by for some soup to go.
Food is amazing out of this world I've been going there for many many years now approximately 15 years it's something that I look forward to weekly and when I'm not feeling good I can't wait to go eat there
The food is good. But both Servers were watching us like they were waiting for us to leave.. it was very uncomfortable 😕..
Always great services.
Food and service are great. The tables feel a bit too close when they are busy.
Great place for Pad Thai and Thai iced tea!
Incredible food. Love the shrimp spring roll with peanut sauce appetizer.
Lovely food, reasonably priced and large portions. Love their pad thai noodles
Great food! Green curry was SPICY, can’t adjust the spice level on that but still very good!
Get take out pretty often from here and it's always delicious
The food was decent but not for the high price. Our server rushed us the whole night where there was only 10 of us in the whole restaurant. They lied to us about one free refill on tea. The bathroom was clean and beautiful and so were the chandeliers.
Great food. The coconut water is a must try along with the Thai curries.
Their food is delicious. Everything we’ve ever had is great. We always get takeout, so I can’t talk about the restaurant itself. The prices are not cheap but it is worth it because it is so good. Sorry no photos. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a group of eight people and our servers were awesome in the food was very delicious!
Just do it!
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is wonderful. If you're looking for something to tickle your taste buds and fill you up, then look no further!
Enjoy😊
Budy & I go here for lunch & are never disappointed. The portion is substantial & their lunch specials are equally pleasant.
Big portion, delicious, good service
big fan of this place. We go here once a month and the staff is always happy to see us and the food is always delicious!
Been here twice, will be back in the future. The food was fantastic and the service was just as good. Reliable place for anyone wanting exotic food that you know will be good.
So I called ahead of time to place my lunch order to go. I told them I’d be there at a certain time but want to place an order ahead of time as it takes 30 min to drive to their place after my appointment.
The person said “that’s okay. We will have the food ready.”
I said “if im later than the time, I’ll call and let you all know.”
When I saw my appointment is going on for longer, I continuously called them several times with no answer. It was answering machine.
Finally I got done with my doctor’s and called the restaurant immediately after I jumped into the car and started driving to them.
Finally someone answered after several attempts, and I frantically said “I apologize. I tried to call and let you all know I’ll be coming late for my pickup. Do you still have my food Cz im almost there with my baby.”
The person said “sorry call back at 4.”
Disconnected and put me straight up to VM.
I knocked on the door and it’s locked.
Im just upset that I didn’t get a proper response whether or not I still have my food saved. It’s sad because I never experienced anyone turning someone away when they come to the door hungry with a toddler.
Just a simple answer- “no, we didn’t save your food or yes we still have it.” Would have been good.
Sad that im letting them go as my goto Thai restaurant after 7 years of eating here.
Excellent experience...
Food wasn’t flavored well. Prices were not as expensive before and not worth the price! Very disappointed :(
Beware of this place. I read in other reviews as well, they take a tip from credit card without consent. I wrote on the receipt the tip amount and they deducted almost double of it. I gave a call and the person who answered told me that manager will get back to me. No one did. This is outrageous!
This place is not recommended at all.
Good as always! Hadn't been for a bit , but decided to get some Thai food for dinner.
This is the best Thai restaurant in the Indianapolis area!!! The parking lot sucks and hard to get in and out of, but you're there for the food. It is worth it every trip. Amazing food and HUGE portions!!! If you're in the mood for Thai food, this is your spot!!!
Very good pad Thai!
Great Thai food! Recommend green curry.
Racist against certain groups
Food is Delicious 🤤 Services is Well, One bad thing Is that they will TAKE A TIP if you pay using a Credit Card Pay attention to your Credit Card Payment Details keep your original receipt. I Left a cash Tip each time, however they still will TAKE a tip without your permission.. NOT COOL THAI SPICE 👎🏽
Best thai food in the state!
Five stars all around. We drive 1 hr round trip just to grab takeout from here. The portions are HUGE so you get a lot of bang for you buck (and it’s not entirely cheap here but so worth it). The wait times are conservative so I order while at home and allow about 40 min because it’s almost always longer than 30 min wait. I once sat in the lobby area and waited 1 hr for the food….so if you’re doing take out allow for a long wait. Total Wine is nextdoor so you could do some shopping while you wait.
Pad Thai is to die for! And portions (I weighed it myself) came in at 2.6#! That’s a lot to Pad Thai and I’m here for it. Panang curry is spicy no matter how much I ask for mild. But their portions are good and the flavor is worth it. Spring rolls are crispy and have really good flavor. I love Thai Spice and rave about them to everyone I talk to whenever Thai food becomes the topic of conversation. Keep it up!
The food was delicious..
We ordered Crab ragoon and Drunken noodles with thai spice..It's a bit spicy side but love it.
We also ordered Thai boba milk tea which is very bad..and it took lot of time for them to set the cap of that togo order..Which we feel little frustrated because it took literally 20min..
Didn't enjoy the food very much to be honest. The service was very good.
My favorite Thai food in the entire state.
I’ve literally never had anything from here that wasn’t an instant favorite! My only complaint is that it’s often very crowded and cramped inside during peak hours and they don’t take reservations. But…that means they’re getting good business so we typically order to go if we know we’re eating at a “prime” hour.
most authentic and very flavorful!!
I always make an attempt to stop here when in town. All their food is great and the servers are so nice.
Amazing food. Good serveive just not much of it, although some people might like that better.
this has been our favorite Thai place in Central Indiana for years and they're still as good as ever
the padd prew wan with shrimp has perfect spicy sweet balance. the massaman curry is the richest and most peanutty in town. we've never found an eggplant with thai basil to match what they make here. most are too oily but not here. it's perfection
I used to enjoy eating here. The place look
Sad and my favorit padthai taste and look sad! Hopefully you guys can improve it.
The food was good but the customer service needs improvement. the waitress chased us down to our car and demanded for tip. she said we were eating there for free if we didn’t tip her a good amount. i was a waitress before but i wasn’t aware that’s how tipping worked. interesting.
08/20/23: the Padd Thai and Todd Kratiem were AMAZING!!
03/21/21:
We ate here again tonight. The food was every bit as good as before, and the portions were a really good value IMO...and the service was better than our earlier visit Overall a great experience!
Older: The food was *amazing*!! But the service tonight was terrible.
This place is TRASH!
Every item I ordered have an overly sweet flavor. Ordered the ribs, completely salty, horrible flavor, meat was over cooked. Curry puffs were horrible, they were warm to touch like they were not cooked all the way thru, and they had too much sugar or whatever they use. The noodles in the PAAD Seuw were over cooked, had a burnt flavor and you only get 6 shrimp. I let the waiter know and they didn’t even offer to recook the meal. The water had a well like taste, overall experience was horrible. 10/10 DO NOT recommend.
Ok, so I'm pretty picky about Thai food, since I was spoiled in my previous city by a place run by a 1st generation family of excellent cooks, but Thai Spoce was pretty damn close. Our family stopped here based on numerous recommendations, and it delivered. We started with the crab rangoons and shrimp rangoons, both which were good; I was pleasantly surprised by how light the shrimp was in terms of filling, letting the shrimp's natural sweetness shine through. The crab rangoons were very crispy and slightly browned in the edges, like I like them. I got the pas Thai with beef and medium heat, and my wife got hot red curry with chicken. The beef was velveted, and the sauce was excellent, with a large helping of ground peanuts on the side, and the heat was exactly where I enjoy it. It needed a little bit of fish sauce, which the server was more than happy to provide. The red curry was very flavorful and creamy, with large slices of chicken and vegetables in it. The lemongrass really stole the show, which is a but unfortunate since it kind of drowned out the coconut, but was still good. Overall, I think I'll be hard pressed to find a better Thai place in the city, if it's even possible.
Best food and always have great service!
My absolute favorite Thai food on the south side. Quick service for take out.
Food was okay, the noodles were undercooked.
Always yummy food, have been coming here for a few years now, its a must when Im in Greenwood.
Good food and friendly service 👌
Decided to stop in after reading the review of another fellow truck driver. Like him I have eaten at many different Thai restaurants around the country and I was absolutely not disappointed here! The dumplings were delicious, the Thom Ka Soup delightful and the Massaman Curry was also equally wonderful. I'll definitely be back again, you should stop in! Staff was friendly and very attentive and the place was very reasonably clean and nice for an older building. Very glad I stopped!
This is our favorite Thai place in the city, and we are picky. Tom Yum is best hands down , best Cashew Chicken my son loves their Massaman Curry, Kiew Todd or crab rangoon is best we recommend getting the cucumber sauce and we love their spring rolls. It's always clean and servers are very polite and good. Food comes quickly. Prices did go up but we get it.
The food is amazing! My coworker recommended it and I ordered it through doordash. I always get the chicken pad thai with extra chicken. The white container is always filled to the brim with pad thai! The only complaint I have is I'm not sure if they are mixing up orders or what but either the spice level is correct or there is no spice at all. I order medium spice for my coworker and I. Last time I ordered it wasn't spicy at all. Like zero spice. It was still good though so I didn't complain.
Best Thai in Indy
Excellent food, amazing customer service! I and my partner are exploring foods around Indy, and we are so pleased with Thai Spice - from the cultural serene music to the chill atmosphere and embracing ones culture through display of portrays- elevated our experience.
Always amazing! We have been coming to Thai Spice since it was in the old location and tiny. I'm so glad they have grown. Even though we live 40 minutes away now, we still come to eat delicious food. Don't be surprised when there is a wait to get in.
Great thai rice, they do charge extra for small sauce cup, but food is great!
Best in Indy! Friendly service. Will go back again and again.
Food was good. Prices a little high.
Great food love this place
I like the food there!
Seen a good chunk of the world and this is still the best pad thai I've ever had.
My wife's favorite place to eat. I love the food as well. Large portions and enough to take home. I wish they would put the cashew chicken back on the menu but I'm not complaining. We eat here on a regular basis and are never disappointed.
Our first experience with Thai food. Most menu items are spicey but they do offer alternatives. I can recommend the cashew chicken if spicey is too much.
Very poor service. The server was rude. With poor service, the server was demanding tip in the parking lot after we came out payingour bill.
Scamming with two different menus with two different prices:
I went there with my girl friend and this was our first time at this restaurant. They gave us a menu and we saw prices and ordered food accordingly. When we were given the check the prices were about 40% more on the check. I questioned that she showed us a different white paper menu saying the prices are not updated on the one that was given to us. I did not argue n paid for it. Then I decided to put a review and saw another review from 4 months ago regarding the Same situation with another customer which means they have been doing this with everyone since quite sometime.
Second we asked for advise on appetizer and the server who is the family of the restaurant owner advised us the two different appetizers to me and my girl friend but brought same appetizers with 5-7 mins interval and said both appetizers are different when they were the same. That way they don’t have to prepare two appetizers and still get money from us.
I have attached the photo of the food we ordered. Also these scammers have been doing the same things with other customers.
If you want Thai food you must go here.
Love this pla e
One of the very best places for Thai cuisine!!!
Food was ok. Wanted spicy, but it wasn't. Portion size is crazy huge, it's like 3 meals. Service was good, brought you more to drink b4 you ran out.
I know from the outside it doesn't look like much, but this is by FAR the best place for Thai food! I used to live 15 minutes away, now I'm 2 hours, and I've still made the drive for the food!
Every time I eat here I am very satisfied, the attention is excellent, the food is delicious and the prices are adequate for the service.
Great food good service
Very!!!!!! Delicious food, large portions too.
