Drunken noodles with shrimp was really good. Not spicy either which I like. My friend got the cashew chicken and that was also delicious. The appetizer for two I recommend as well as you get to try crab crab Rangoons, spring rolls and egg rolls. The atmosphere was intimate and quiet too. Server was fast and attentive!

Their yellow curry is THE BEST BY FAR, better than any other yellow curry at other Thai places we have been to. I really wish Maly would expand to other locations! Definitely worth opening one in Arlington Heights!! They’d love you! Definitely recommend to anyone and everyone because it’s the best yellow curry I have ever had in my life!

First time going with family. I order green curry and my husband ordered yellow curry. It was out of the world. We’ve tried many Thai food but this is our favorite of all. Our server Hanna was amazing and sweet

Went there for date night with my husband and was greeted at the door right away as well seated and received our water as we were seated. our waitress was very welcoming and so friendly. She gave us time to skim through the menu and after we were done came back if wanted anything else to drink besides water. We told her no thank you and told her we are set to order. She took our orders , chicken pad thai and orange chicken was all we had. Right size and food was great. we will definitely be returning to try out new items.

We had dined at Vino Thai for many years and were obviously nervous when we heard he was selling the business. We came here right after the new ownership took over and they were still working out some kinks with the food. We decided to give it another try recently (August 2024) and WOW, what a 180. The food was high-quality, fresh, flavorful and the portion sizes were excellent. Prices were very fair and the service was solid. We are excited to dine here regularly again and hope anyone who may have not been impressed initially will give them another try, because this place is great!

We ordered a variety of meals and everything we tried was great.

My family's new to the area and we've been searching for good Thai food. Ordered from MalyThai three times now and loved everything we got. Big portions and always piping hot! The noodles in particular are fantastic. The Pad See Eiw and Ko See Mee in particular are our favorites.

Not sure why another review is complaining about minced chicken being in the Drunken Noodles when it's listed in their Menu. Fault of the customer not the restaurant.

I ordered the drunken noodles and all the chicken was literally ground chicken in clumps made to look like pieces of chicken, quite disgusting and i personally think thats unacceptable to be charging 14$ for it. meanwhile my girlfriend’s 12$ fried rice had normal and delicious cut chicken breast in it, the inconsistency was extra dissapointing.

Massaman curry was how I like it here. Definitely coming back

WONDERFUL!!!! The food was so delicious, the staff very kind, and the atmosphere was great. The music is quiet and soothing, which we loved. The staff was very efficient even when the restaurant got quite busy. We got the Appetizer for two and house salad, then the Autumn Curry with tofu and the Pad Thai with pork. ALL WAS DELICIOUS!!! I want to try to figure out how to make the Autumn Curry, since I'm sadly only passing through so I can't come get it often! Highly Recommend! Also the portions are very generous, we were very hungry and ended up bringing back half of our main dishes to enjoy tomorrow.

we have been there many times as Vino thai but they have really changed the appetizers were good but with 4 of us for lunch not one of us liked our food the Thai fried rice was plain not a lot of taste and 2 of us had mixed vegetables one with tofu other pork again not a lot of taste and another had the dish that had yellow curry with tofu and she didn't finish it the tofu and taste were really not good and we have both had lots of curry dishes before there as vino thai so very disappointed. So we will not be returning😒😒

My mother in law found this great place. Relaxing atmosphere, terrific food. The service was excellent. A had spring rolls, which tasted so fresh, the ginger chicken, that was terrific, and plum wine. My daughter had the salmon and loved it.

Amazing food mediocre service many times which is beyond disappointing….rude waitresses on more than one occasion basically pushing me out of the restaurant when they were busy and I was trying to enjoy my food. No food is worth getting treated disrespectfully. A shame because the food is legit. New owners and new name. Went and they had no chili red sauce seems very sloppy to not have condiments staples for food? They are good but service seems to be the weak link and no red chili paste in a Thai restaurant is unacceptable sorry not sorry.

Like Vino Thai before them. Saturday lunch was not busy at all. Love the crazy noodles. Had the pork version and had more meat than I expected. In fact could have used slightly more noodles and less pork. The noodles are the flavor.

I used to love the place before ownership changed. The food is alright still though. They advertised that it tastes the same as before, but it honestly tastes different such as the pad see ew and appetizers. It’s not bad, but not really what I remember from.

Unfortunately, after 3 years I will have to update my review: As a customer for over a decade I can still say that the food is great BUT the prices have gone up far too much that I won't be back. The dish I regularly ordered at least once a week went from $9.95 to $14.99 + $0.50 as they now charge for the side of hot sauce. Big bummer!

Hit the lunch rush but it was pretty slow service considering there were three employees running the tables. For was excellent though. Just a bit of spice on the "hot" dish, cashew chicken. But flavor was on point.

Though they have the usual chicken pad Thai and curries on the menu, they also have lesser known but equally delicious items such as Kao Soy and drunken noodle. Also great Thai iced tea. Extremely accommodating staff works hard. Very popular Carry out as well. Great choice for vegans as well as most dishes can be made meatless. It has become a little pricey lately but the food quality is top notch and ample portions are served. If you like Thai you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stopped by and noticed that it has a new name. The inside looked pretty much the same as when it was Vino Thai. We ordered the spring rolls and they were very good. For my entrée I ordered the Curry Pineapple with chicken. It was phenomenal. OMG. Just the right amount of spice and with the sweet pineapple it made a great combination. I will be back soon to have this again. You definitely should give this a try.

Pad Kapao and Chili Chicken was awesome. Kids likes potstickers and chicken satay. Food quality and taste is just as great as Vino Thai. Will be back again.

Best Thai Restaurant in Town (Its Maly Thai)

We always loved Vino Thai. We went today, under new name and ownership but same chef and menu. Maly Thai makes great food. All our children love it as well. The flavors are delicate and there’s something for everyone. The pad woo sent glass noodles and pad see ewe are the kids favorites along with edamame, Shumai and pot stickers and crab Rangoon apps. Over and over again the kids said, “we really like this food.” Also the mango smoothie with tapioca and thai iced tea with tapioca. They’re great for takeout as well as dine-in.

My family and I have been coming here since I was a little girl. It is my dads absolute favorite restaurant and the food is delicious. It is affordable for the amount you get and never fails to deliver amazing flavor in every dish. I was in there today for a walk in order and the new staff and management are sooo amazing and friendly! Enough said. The restaurant is under a new name and kept the staff and the chef from Vino Thai which is I have been going for the last 10 years or so. I guess the old owner couldn't keep up with the today's hectic situations. Everyone please come back!🙏The food is still authentic ,flavorful and have all the ingredients what Thai food should have.I cannot say anything bad about the food penang curry is thick and flavorful it is it should be. Tom Kha soup is also flavorful with all the right ingredients.
Portions are big for the price.

The food is good but it is not worth the POOR SERVICE!!! Made a reservation for 12 people a month in advance. When I arrived and gave a young lady my name and the fact that I had a reservation she acted as if she had no clue as to what I was referring to. We waited 15 minutes ro be seated. Arrived at 1:30 and wasn't finished with ordering, eating, and yaing until 4:35--absolutely ridiculous! No management was present. They kept our drinks sitting on the bar for abt 30 min before they served them to us (we saw them sitting there) and they took forever to return credit cards. There's no need to return and I'll advise anyone who asks to stay away from this place .

This place has great food but is managed absolutely terribly. Tonight was the last time for me. Placed a call ahead order at NOON for food to be ready 6.5 hours later at 6:30pm. Guess who’s food wasn’t ready until 7:25pm? 🙋🏼‍♂️

My fiancée suggested trying this place on a whim since we moved and my usual Thai place is out of the way but this place is by far more great especially with presentation and I can tell by the added ingredients it has more flavor.

Really good food but INSANELY SLOW. I've been several times and it's always 2hrs for a single take out entree and there's a line of angry and surprised customers waiting for their orders which were promised at least an hour earlier.

Tonight was it, I've gotten take out every Friday night for myself and my family for 3 years. It was our tradition and we loved it. Vino Thai has changed big time. The food is still great ... When they get it right, but management is horrid.

Servers are super nice and are doing everything great! But the last 5 times I've waited 2hours for my food and was told, well that's the way it is.

The manager has no idea what he's doing and is rude. The bartender can make drinks but just looks confused. At least 5-10 people cancelled their orders after me tonight due to the poor management.

I've worked in restaurants for 20+ years, I understand how they work , run and fall. If they don't fix their management systems they are going to lose a ton of business and fast.

Were done and were so bummed, but rude management is where I draw the line.

I got FOODPOISNIN in here. I went to here a month ago. I ordered yello curry and thai cold tea. I don't know which one was the poison. But 2 hours later, I felt nausea and started to vomit all the night. I will never gonna go to here.

The service here was abysmal. This is a shame because we have come here before and never had the service we received. This was a Wednesday night and thought we'd have Thai. The waitress was extremely slow and ignored our table and all the other tables constantly. We didnt receive our food for over an hour and our drinks were not refilled unless we flagged down the other server who was turning tables while we sat. 3 tables were served ate and left while we waited for our food. The waitress didn't even bother to come over to apologize for the wait. We surmised that she didn't place our order with the kitchen since her other tables got their food even though they arrived after us. The service was just so terrible that we probably won't be going back which is a shame since we really like the place. This is not a case of staff shortages since the other tables with the exception of ours and 2 others got their food quickly (other server). The food, once it came, was good and hot. This experience has soured us on this location. We may go back but no promises...

Placed an order around 6:20pm and they said about a 75 minute wait… 2 hours later we got our order. Apparently they forgot how to do dine in and take out orders at the same time. They used to take 30 mins at most. They shouldn’t be accepting take out orders if they can’t keep up with all the orders. If i could give zero stars, i would.

For me and my family, foods are excellent. Kinda pricey. Love those appetizers. Sticky rice with mango is so good.

The soups were very good. Chicken Pad Thai was average. All 3 orders were warm, but not hot like they should. We had 5 people in the party and while 3 orders came out, the other 2 people had to wait another 10 minutes. In general, the wait time was much longer than what I expected from a Thai restaurant. I love Thai food and visit many places in Chicago and the suburbs. I would rather try another place before ever coming back here.

We have been regular customers for many years. We have always had pretty good experiences in the past. However, beware for food takeout. I was told our food would be ready in 50 minutes. No big deal, we realize there is a staff shortage. I was told to arrive a little before 7 for pick up. I arrived and waited another 45 minutes. The older gentlemen was so rude (not the owner). He said here's the problem, you were give a time of 7:43 for pick up, which was on the ticket attached to the food. I said, here's the real problem, you do not know how to properly read your ticket. The order was taken at 6:07:43. 6:07 pm and 43 seconds. He thought it meant to be ready at 7:43. He was so rude. He turned around and said well an hour and a half wait is a problem. No apologies and just walked away. I will never go back.
