For example the papaya salad is simply the best Ive ever had and I visit Thai restaurants often. Garlic beef, chicken satay skewers, mango and sticky rice it’s all good here and you won’t be disappointed… But the papaya salad is something very special with its sweet and citrusy sauce, peanuts and perfect balance of flavors, it’s something you MUST try if you’ve never had it…

This is our go-to Thai place outside of Chicago proper. The food and service is excellent. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Advice: They are very cautious about the heat in the food so you have to really emphasize if you want your food to be spicy.

My boyfriend and I were loyal customers for a long time. I am not sure what happened in the last few months but the service is terrible. We came in tonight, there was nobody there besides us. We waited 10 minutes and walked out because the waitress walked past us 5x and did not even ask us if we want water. Also, we noticed the last few times we went, the owner or manager (older guy at the front) is always yelling and arguing with customers!! We are never coming back!

The dishes I have tried have been good, but for others have been disappointing at times according to them. It's kind of hit or miss. The prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants. Locks atmosphere, uninviting empty tables not even set up for customers. Update: last visit was very disappointing, had to return the meal twice as shrimp didn't look right and then was brought back cold. The entrance is not very clean, I wonder what the kitchen looks like. I think is time to look for an alternative place.

We had an amazing dinner to celebrate my birthday! Prices were reasonable and the wait staff were very friendly. Truly a Thai dining experience. I can't wait to return.

I love Thai food and this place has some good items but sometimes misses the mark. I like to eat here even though.

Dan Thai is simply amazing. It's our go-to spot for special occasions because the food is so incredible that we find ourselves making excuses to visit. Some family members even travel from the city just to enjoy a meal here. Everything on the menu is delicious, and we love picking new dishes to try so we can taste it all eventually. I can't recommend Dan Thai enough; the service, the staff, and the food are all top-notch. You really have to experience it for yourself!

I ordered for pick up. They said pick it up within 30 minutes. Went to pick it up after 30 minutes ended up waiting for another 30 because when I came to pick up my order thats when they start cooking my food. Will give 2 stars for the food because it's one of the best Thai in the burbs but damn their customer service sucks. It's like their pissed that I asked when will my food be ready. They didn't even apologize whatsoever. Will I come back for the food? Probably not.

Waited for my carry out order and noticed someone stirring a to-go container of curry, then taste it then put the same spoon back in to keep stirring. Did not seem clean and lower star reviews mention getting sick.

We went for dinner. Food is good. I would say average or slightly above average. Service was poor. We went 45 mins before the last order time and 1.5 hr before closing time. They rushed so much to the point that they constantly interrupted our dinner. They ran out of large dinner plates. There are better thai food restaurants and there isn’t anything so special about this one.

We have been going to this place for years, and I’m so glad they are maintaining high-quality food and service. The lunch special is such a great deal and the food is very authentic. Serving sizes are good along with a very light and welcoming atmosphere. They have a very beautiful saltwater tank at the front of the entrance to greet customers. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Placed an order for fried rice with eggs and bean sprouts and green onion a hot sauce on the side. Instead got carrots, sweet peas and white onions. Called back she said she would replace the rice I appreciate it but I'm looking for a better rice

Holy Mary mother of Jesus. This place is soooooo good. I have been searching for an amazing thai food restaurant away from the city. This place is amazing. Pad See Ew crispy egg rolls, and chicken satay are my regular dishes. I could eat this place 3 times a week no problem.

The Satay were flavorful and juicy. The curry seasoning was excellent. The Shrimp spring rolls were decent. I wish they had the rice noodles in the instead of just greens. The chicken Basil rice was perfect. You have the option for ground chicken or sliced.

Went for lunch and were seated right away. Ordered the beef fried rice and chicken pad thai lunch specials. Both came with a small soup and egg roll. The broth in that soup is absolutely fire!!! Egg roll was more like a spring roll. Our entrees were both delicious. Excellent flavor. Service was good.

Pad Thai w/shrimp was good! My family enjoyed their meals. Service was good…took a while to get our check. We understood bc there was only 1 server taking care of many tables. Atmosphere was quiet, with over half the place full, so conversation was heard even by my elderly mom. That’s rare nowadays.

The food is great but every time and I mean, EVEEY TIME, I order NON SPICY, they manage to make it fire. I’ve return order once but I’m tired of driving back. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CUSTOMERS ORDERS. if I order non-spicy, make sure you don’t put anything spicy.

We have been coming here for a while and this is for sure our go-to Thai place. We get the curry, the fried rice, and the pad thai most often, and they never miss. Amazing food, great atmosphere in the restaurant, and extremely friendly staff.

My boyfriend and I ate here tonight. We ordered veggie spring rolls to start. Honestly, I wasn’t that impressed by them and was a little worried about the rest of our food. I didn’t need to though! we shared a large bowl of hot and sour soup which was amazing. We had pad woo seen noodles with chicken which was very good. We had veggie yellow curry as well - this was the star of the dinner. Best curry I’ve had in a long time. Perfect balance of sweet in the front taste and spicy that followed. We finished with mango sticky rice which was delicious. Highly recommend!

The chicken larb and the papaya salad are so good I really should remember to buy 2 each because I can’t stop eating them. And the mango sticky rice for dessert is so amazing I could eat that every day of my life. These particular dishes to me are perfect. 😋

Absolutely great food. The best part is the consistency, if I ask for for drunken noodles today it's like eating the same drunken noodles they served 2 years ago. They've struck gold with their recipes and unlike most other restaurants don't change their recipe.

I love this place! I’ve been going here since 2020 when the pandemic began, and their quality of food is still the best. Their service is also great and eating inside has always been a treat.

With 7 adults and a one year old we celebrated Father's Day. The food was fresh and excellent. Service was top shelf and friendly. I ordered Chu Chee Shrimp and it looked very colorful and tasted wonderful. The appetizer Spring rolls were so fresh. The Sateh superb. One remark from one of us with experience living in Thailand: "It looked and tasted just like in Thailand".

We were looking for a done in Thai restaurant and came upon Dan Thai. Great food and service.

I ordered chicken vegetable soup and it tasted flavorless. The broth tasted like water, even had to add my own spices. Additionally to that the menu said the soup came with glass noodles the noodles must have been that transparent and invisible because there was about 5 or 6 strands of noodles in my soup. The chicken tasted like paper even some of the vegetables seemed to have just been thrown in the soup. If you have vegetables, water and noodles you could probably make this dish better at home.

Absolutely perfectly done chicken pad Thai. Good portion size too. Be warned however, they don't ask for spice level by default but they have plenty of chili paste at the ready.

Tasty food, and friendly service. We sat at a table for HOURS and they didn't bat an eye. Don't worry, there was no wait - we are extra, not awful.

Ordered take out. I got the chu chee shrimp and the drunken noodles. I asked for hot sauce on the side, but didn't get any. No spoons or chopsticks either.

Both dishes were ok, nothing to rave about. There were 6 shrimps in the chu chee shrimp dish. For 16 dollars, I was expecting a bit more. The green beans in the noodles weren't fresh. The portions here are quite small, in my opinion, compared to other places.

Loved the basil catfish. The catfish wasn't overpowering at all. Small pieces, lightly fried, and went well with the basil and other veges.

Excellent food. This was my second time here. The last time I came here was in 2019 and I can say without a doubt that the quality has remained the same. I am vegetarian and they had a great selection of items to choose from. I got drunken noodles and green curry and both were delicious!

Just had an excellent lunch here. I ordered the Green curry lunch special with tofu which came with Tom Yom soup and an egg roll. We also got an order of Chive dumplings which we're delicious. The food was amazing and the prices couldn't have been better. I wish I lived in the area because I would make this a regular lunch spot.

This place was really good! My partner and I travel a lot and we stop for Thai in every new place we go. Dan Thai is a must if you're in the Chicago area and love Thai. The food was great and the atmosphere was so wholesome.

Pro munchie tip: add boba to your Thai iced tea (not on the menu, but the servers were very accommodating)

The food during the week mom-Friday is 5 star we love it but for some reason weekends food is dull and not tasty. Seems they have a different weekend cook.

Absolutely outstanding Thai food! Having lived in Thailand I recognise authentic Thai cuisine and this is it. We had the Massaman curry and and Panang curry and they were both fantastic. The Thai Iced Tea is the same you get on the streets of Bangkok. We had potstickers for appetisers: you can get them steamed or fried, six in an order - they are very tasty. I will for sure be back to try more - the pad Thai looked absolutely amazing and I have high hopes for their thom kha gai. Also, very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!!

Best Thai place in town. You get massive portions of food for the price you're paying, and it's always great quality. This place has the best breaded chicken dishes I've ever had from an Asian restaurant. The five star chicken has an awesome sweet, sour, & spicy sauce AND the batter on it was nice and crunchy. We'll be regulars here from now on!

You want FRESH Thai food! You must check this place out! I did delivery and it was delivered within the hour. The delivery guy was cool! I ordered the chicken fried rice there is only one size large but definitely worth the price, it was amazing not over cooked or over seasoned. The rice, veggies and chicken had great flavor and tasted so fresh! I also ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai also amazing! Jumbo shrimp, I ordered it spicy and it was delicious! Had to try the pot stickers too! I ordered them fried. So delicious! I also ordered two cans of coke. I will definitely be back

Fantastic little place! We went for lunch. Simple lunch menu with about 12-16 dishes to choose from. There's no beer/alcohol available. I got the Panang chicken curry and it was perfectly portioned for lunch and has exceptional flavor with a touch of heat at "medium." If you like spice, ask for hot. Would love to go back again!

I am a big fan of Thai food and DanThai had the best panang curry I have ever had! It was perfection. However, the past 1-1/2 years it has tasted different. I’m not sure if they changed the recipe, but it tastes a little watered down. I will gladly pay more money for them to make it like they used to. I just want the old panang curry back. In addition, I love their pad woonsen and the pad see ew.

Worst service and food. Food was spilled over and delivered 1.5 late. Restaurant refused to address the issue. They needed up delivering the food but all spilled in the bag and when I called they said they don’t can’t do anything about that.

Amazing Thai food! It’s super flavorful and the Thai tea is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. (A little more sweet than your ave. Thai Tea so you can ask them for it less sweet, but it’s exactly how I like it!). Highly recommend the panang curry and drunken noodles with beef. Overall clean place, steaming hot food, and amazing staff!

The service was amazing. They were very polite and their mango smoothie with "bubbles" was surprisingly good! I ordered the basil duck spicy. Could've been a little more spicier but it was delicious either way! My family might have just found our regular Thai place to eat from!

The pad thai was only okay, could be a lot better. The Dan Thai salmon, however... It says it's served with broccoli and carrots on the side, and there were literally two pieces of each. The sweet chili sauce is pure sugar, the chili was nowhere to be seen. It's such a shame because the place has really good reviews and I was really looking forward to it.

When I relocated to the area from Chicago I was desperate to find good pad thai. 99% of the thai places in the area SUCK.
