Wife and I like the make your own bowl 🍜

My wife and I had a nice lunch at the Big Bowl! The restaurant feels upscale, yet it also is relaxed. There is a full bar, and the restaurant is deceivingly large! I will say, the restaurant lacks natural light so it feels like nighttime no matter what time you go (that isn't a big deal to me). It does make for a nice date night spot! The food was very good, and the portion for the lunch special was generous. I was very pleased with the experience and would definitely come back for dinner!

Had a meeting out in Schaumburg and we decided to try Big Bowl. Enjoyed the many options available and thought the portions were excellent.

Was in the area wanted a quick bite and a good cocktail or 2. Absolutely fantastic. Will have to come back to try more. Brisket potstickers and the blueberry g&t were perfect

I'm in town from Arizona and my son recommended this restaurant and WOW !

The best Asian food I've EVER had, by far.

The Teriyaki Salmon paired with the Sauvignon Blanc was outstanding with great flavors and a huge quantity. The sauce with scallions and onions was so good, and complimented the rice perfectly.

Server and Bartender Sal was incredible. Fantastic service and a nice person.

This restaurant is highly recommended !

We had dinner on a busy Saturday night. Food was delicious, cocktails were amazing, service was great. Recommend the place.

I had high expectations from this place and it fell so low i don't think we'll go back. Our server was the highlight. He was polite and very understanding when I had to send back my rootbeer pomegranate drink. it was like sugar water, so sweet it was not a pleasant drink. Then we ordered the chicken and peanut egg rolls, I don't remember having these before, it was like having a spicy peanut butter roll, I can still taste the peanuts, it's not a flavor I was again. The firecracker chicken was the worst, who put these flavors together, fried cauliflower, fried chicken, fried chili peppers, in a creamy curry sauce. Not appetizing at all. Had to send it back! Finally ordered the Kung pau chicken to go, will eat it tomorrow. The chocolate molten cake with chocolate ice cream for my husband's birthday was the one item we ate with full gusto! Thank goodness for great service, but we'll not be going back for the food.
Finally ate the Kung pau chicken, wth was that! I have NEVER had Kung pau chicken like that, chicken work green beans and spinach?!@ The most disgusting flavor combination i have ever had. Sorry if you like that flavor combination, you are rare. The manager did call me and offered a gift card. I'm afraid of ordering anything from there.

I haven’t been to Big Bowl in a long time. I must say this visit was a bit disappointing. Pros: food was hot, and there was a quick turn around time from the time we ordered until the time we received our food. The pomegranate ginger ale is still delicious. Very refreshing. If you like freshly made ginger ale, this drink is a must try. I have no complaints about service. Cons: They now charge a surcharge. It was completely unexpected. I don’t remember seeing any mention of it on the menu. I noticed it on the bill. Surcharges automatically applied to the bill is a red flag and a bad business practice. I understand rising costs, but customers bear the brunt of these costs. Transparency is key. At least apprise me ahead of time or leave space on the receipt to allow me to accept it or not. Charging it and expecting the customer to dispute it is just poor customer service. It’s not convenient for the customer. The convenience is for the restaurant, especially when people don’t bother to dispute it or ask to have it removed. Another con is the selection for the kid’s menu. My son is pescatarian. He could only order the buttered noodles. Trust me, this dish sounds better than it tastes. Literally, wet noodles no sauce. Lastly, my pad Thai was NOT good. I couldn’t taste the pasta only beansprouts. Lacking in flavor. Appetizers were decent. I went during happy hour and paid 50 bucks for one adult, 1 kid’s meal, and two appetizers. I appreciate the happy hour menu and would recommend ordering from that menu. The appetizers were better than our meals.

Staff was friendly.
Came here with my family. My husband ordered a bowl, something spicy. Tasted bitter. Waitress also described the Chinese noodles as thin but they were quite thick (not a major issue though). I ordered a bowl with tofu, yellow curry and jasmine rice. The food was steaming hot, but the flavor itself was lackluster. I felt it needed more sale and a touch of brown sugar would have done wonders, but as is, a bit bland. My husbands was similar, except a more bitter taste also a more intense flavor…too much of something. My son had similar noodles to his father and did not like it. My other child would only eat the rice. In general, I think they lacked menu options for kids. Typically they do not like spicy or food with a lot of vegetables, and the menu did not have a lot of those options. There was no kids menu even

All in all, despite the friendly staff, the food itself is not craveable. In all honesty, I would be surprised if we ever ate here again. $20 for food that simply did not taste all that good.
Do I recommend? No.

Worst experience! You go to a fancy restaurant for good food and ambience . The most shocking thing is they forget your order and come back saying “now the kitchen is closed and we cannot do anything about it!!” Like seriously!!!

Also, the Kung Pao chicken is nothing like it used to be. Boo! Hardly any flavor, no spiciness, and what’s with all the green beans (filler)?! Bring the old one back, with soft yummy spinach and peanuts (that I can find in my dish).

This was a carry out order. Was very specific on what I wanted. When I got to my destination, I was missing my desert and the extras that I asked for were not in the bag. Was it partially my fault, yes but I don’t think it’s too much to ask for the people that are packing it up to check off and verify what’s going into the bag. I will eat in but most likely never do another carry out order again with them

Me and my family went here today and we ordered 4 big bowls of very different things and we did everything correctly when ordering. When our food was served me and my family members bowl was completely switched. She ordered everything with vegetables and chicken and these noodles and my order was rice with different vegetables. They somehow got completely ruined and everything got switched and we didn’t even enjoy our meal given the price of the bowls that are somewhere around $20 each. There was one server that tried helping and understanding but we left unsatisfied and ripped off.

This is a very nice restaurant for Chinese or Thai food. We were here for lunch and had Pad Thai Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Teriyaki Beef Bowl. Everything was served hot and fresh. Service was acceptable, but not great.
Decor is modern, not Asian.
Although a little expensive (a Lettuce Entertain You restorant), it is worth an extra visit.

Karicia was a delight and made our first time to Big Bowl awesome. The food was fantastic and we will definitely be back.

Had dinner. Three stars for quick seating and good food. Had to ask for cutlery, napkins, etc. They brought me 4" bar napkins for my dinner claiming that's all they had. When I challenged them as to why a sit down restaurant doesn't have napkins, the waitress brings it saying here are you "extra" napkins. When did you give them earlier to call them extra napkins? Can we have forks? Can we have plates? Wow. Not sure I would like to go back there again.

I DO NOT like the new payment system. Please go back to the traditional system. I should not have to work to pay at your restaurants. I’m a gold member and this will make me stop coming to Lettuce establishments.

Drunken Noodles were delicious.

Food was decent. Ingredients were fresh. It was fun to be able to pick and customize the meal in the create your own bowl. The food was ready quickly. Service was mediocre. We had to call the waitress over a few times to refill drinks because she wasn't checking on us at all.
Its very crowded to get to the bathrooms (which were clean) or to the place to create your own bowl, which was somewhat awkward.
