Went here a few years ago, and the server literally told our group that the tom yum soup was not real and that it was chicken broth with pieces of chili in it. And they were not lying at all about that. The curry was thick and difficult to swallow. I really am not sure what kind of customers or food palettes they’re trying to cater to. If you have the ability to prepare and to offer authentic Thai food, just do it - please.

Diner Review №2

Great place to stop for food, bes thai ice coffee

Diner Review №3

Food was mid. When they brought the bill I paid with my card and waited for my sister to come back from the bathroom so that I could go to the bathroom without leaving the table unattended. The staff told my sister “In America, it’s courtesy to leave a tip”. I planned on leaving a cash tip when I came back to the table. My sister didn’t pay, I did, so idk why they felt they need to say that while I was gone, when a tip was going to be left. They also turned away a couple because they had a stroller while we were there which was awkward.

Diner Review №4

We had a great family dinner here! I highly recommend the Tom Kha Gai soup. The staff also went above and beyond to make sure our toddler also had a great experience.

Diner Review №5

I love eating at Dao! The food is delicious and fresh, and the servers and staff are really friendly. The inside looks really cool; it’s such a pretty restaurant. Paul is especially kind and welcoming. I definitely plan on becoming a regular!

Diner Review №6

Hello, started coming here frequently for lunch for a few months. Recently, I went and had a ridiculous experience as to when I was done with my meal, I was asked what’s wrong because I didn’t tip during this particular experience…Again, I have been here before, tipped and tipped cash as well, and never had this encounter. Ive also been to other restaurants and never had an issue like this. I could understand being confronted about not paying the bill at all but the tip is optional. Even if I was planning to tip cash, I wasn’t after hearing the server out. I respected the situation and left however, I felt targeted and put in an uncomfortable position for no reason…Food was decent but that experience will make me not return.

Diner Review №7

Delicious find while walking Chicago.

Diner Review №8

Really bad food. We could not finish either of the 2 dishes we had ordered. Big miss on taste!

Diner Review №9

Food is not authentic, will not return

Diner Review №10

The basil fried rice has a great texture & good spice level that can be adjusted per recommendation. The staff is lovely, the seating is unique, the ambiance is immersive, and the owner is amazing!

Unique sitting .

The food was good, and the atmosphere was wonderful, as was the service. I will try it again but will try some other dishes.

Diner Review №16

Had to go order, ordered a pad thai and curry.
The portion WAS HUGE.
Tastewise it was okay, the curry was really good and flavorful, but the pad thai somehow was quite bland, had to put more soy sauce.

Price is reasonable due to the big portion.

Service was great, they offered me free drink although I was just waiting for my order.

The place was kind of dim, dark
But was cozy nevertheless.

Food and atmosphere perfect.

Diner Review №20

Not handicap accessible on weekends. Apparently people are only disabled Monday through Friday. Disgusting

Diner Review №21

Only handicap accessible During the week. Will not eat at a place that can’t be accessible

Diner Review №22

Found some strange plastic piece in my food. Nobody from the staff cared.

Diner Review №23

Indian: Please go elsewhere if you would like to have Thai. The staff who sat us down hurried us to order with less than 2 mins to look at the menu, and also was very racist. The food was ok, but despite the bad service, we were asked to tip well. Not a place which accepts feedback to improve their service.

Diner Review №24

Tldr; Avoid this place.

Had absolutely terrible experience here, faced blatant racism. They took the glasses and sauces before we finished eating, the server was completely disinterested and pushed us to buy particular item, hurried us while other folks were allowed to continue eating, made faces when we asked for togo box and ofcourse at the end asked us for tips. Can’t believe such places exist in Chicago.

Diner Review №25

We came to Dao thai and order two lard nars.
The food was great and satisfied our thai cravings. The atmosphere is great and cozy for dinner. It has a unique layout for seating which we loved. Definitely coming here again!

Diner Review №26

Hidden gem right off Michigan Ave. The wife and I both had pod Thai, and a alcoholic beverage. Bill was only $50 and we struggled to finish our plates. To spend that little money in the heart of the city is unheard of. We will definitely be back!!

Diner Review №29

Diner Review №30

Good Thai at a reasonable price off Mag Mile.

Diner Review №31

This place is amazing! The owner was so nice. At one point the beef was not halal, and we said it would be awesome to have halal beef. Then the next week he got halal beef. Super awesome and the food is great!

Diner Review №32

Ridiculously delicious panang curry!!! And it's gluten free for my fellow Celiacs! The staff were all so kind and attentive as well. Loved my experience here!

Diner Review №35

Diner Review №36

The food is great but it took awhile to get here. It was a fairly busy night but we’re were the first there. The store was very clean and so were the bathroom

Diner Review №37

Friendly staff and food was nice as well.

Diner Review №38

Diner Review №39

Love the did been going for 15 years

Diner Review №40

Doesn’t taste like Thai at all.
Or at least the Thai I’m used to. Ordered the Basil Fried rice with chicken and shrimp and was expecting bold flavors and spice level of 4.

No basil flavor present and no spice. It was unfortunate. Also ordered chicken wings but they were just basic packaged wings.

Diner Review №41

We are a visiting family from Australia, Canada and the Philippines and we are staying at a nearby hotel. We’re lucky to have found this restaurant as the food is very delicious. The owner, Paul, was so friendly and chatted with us and even gave us complimentary chicken wings. We were so satisfied with the service, we ate here 3 times.

Diner Review №42

**Review:**

I had the most appalling experience at this restaurant and I cannot urge you strongly enough to avoid this place at all costs. The service was terrible from the get-go—rude staff, extremely slow service, and an overall sense of disinterest in the patrons. To make matters worse, they demanded tips even after delivering such poor service.

Our dissatisfaction reached a peak when we were met with blatant racism from one of the staff members. He made a series of offensive remarks about Americans not tipping, completely disregarding the fact that gratuity is not mandatory. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable and added an extra layer of discomfort to our already dreadful dining experience.

To further escalate the situation, we were humiliated and told to leave the store after politely mentioning our concerns. To our absolute horror, a staff member came chasing us out with a beer bottle, threatening to abuse my partner and me. It was an incredibly frightening ordeal, and they are lucky we didn’t press charges for their threatening behavior.

This place is a nightmare, and no meal is worth the risk of such an experience. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this restaurant. Highly advice not to bring your family, kids or any loved ones here.

Diner Review №43

Diner Review №44

Worst Thai food that I ever eaten. Overpriced by forcing customers to add even vegetables for an EXTRA CHARGE
Beautiful setting is the only good thing but select a chair. Seats are extremely uncomfortable.

Go to Uptown for good Thai food
Restaurantshould be closed due to greed

Diner Review №50

I did not like none of the dishes that was bought but didn't want to make a fuss because we had previously sent back one of the appetizers. We did enjoy the atmosphere and the service! This is just my opinion though

Diner Review №51

Diner Review №52

Great place to try out food

Diner Review №53

V was super nice.

Diner Review №54

This restaurant is truly delicious! We were in town on spring break and ate there twice! The second time was better than the first which was stellar! My son and I had the teriyaki salmon the first night. It was well cooked, tender and scrumptious. My wife had the stir fried green beans both nights and it was excellent! Our daughter had the giant bowl of rice stick noodles both nights. It was so big she shared it with her brother the second night. I had the stir fried broccoli with chicken the second night. It was gingery, garlicky and divine.

Service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant and warm. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town.

Diner Review №55

Dao (meaning “star”) is a decent Thai restaurant in if you are in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood. The ambience is above average and the menu serves a typical array of standard Thai dishes. The only dish that was a disappointment was the Dao appetizer combo which was mostly deep-fried and dried out.

Diner Review №56

The pad thai noodles are great

Diner Review №57

Second visit in a decade (when in Chicago)... Friend's favorite meet up.
Simple dishes, fairly priced, friendly staff.

Diner Review №58

Love love loveeee the place!! The food always tastes the same and is amazing both quality and quantity wise. The decor and vibe of the place is great as well. They have a lot of vegetarian/vegan options to select from. Been here tons of times with many friends and family and they have all loved the taste. MUST TRY!!

This restaurant has the ambiance and service, and we had great conversations with our beautiful server about us being part of Thai as well!! This enhanced the already awesome experience we had there!! Thank you, my Thai fam!! The food was so fresh might I add delicious ☺️, please check them out they're not over the top expensive either.

Diner Review №67

Imagine if Chipotle had a really nasty, tasteless & overall terrible cousin from Thailand named Dao.
This place is that. I feel like they took in a bunch of previously cooked/boiled/ food and threw it together in a microwave and charged $20/person for that. Food came out in less than 8 minutes of us ordering it. We were starving so I ate as much as I could…but that was a mistake. My stomach was at war thereafter right away.

Diner Review №70

The atmosphere was nice. Their Ice tea was not sweet enough. Service was fast and nice. Food tastiness was little bit dull. Overally, a try out place.

Diner Review №71

Pad Kee Mao is great and service was excellent, very friendly

Diner Review №72

The staff was friendly and accommodating. DoorDash canceled my order twice, so we went inside and was able to place an order to go. The food was great. We ordered Panang Nue Curry with chicken and brown rice, Spicy Pad Khee Mao with beef and chicken pot stickers. Please note, we ordered medium spice and it was spicy, but so good. I thoroughly enjoyed all the items.

Diner Review №73

Friendly fast service and the food was amazing

Diner Review №74

Amazing Thai spot in the near north side area - great food and service always!

Diner Review №75

I love this place the potstickers are so delicious I had the tom yum soup and the veggies were so fresh and the broth was light

Diner Review №76

Decent Thai food, good portions, but the service is definitely lacking and bordering on rudeness. Thai people are known for being welcoming and hospitable and the owners of this place could use some of that.

Diner Review №77

Not one veggie in the Chicken Curry, also the side of rice they give is like 3 bites. Thats all fine but they should tell people its small and that they could order an additional side or add veggies to the curry for an additional price. I just assumed there would be a few veggies.

Diner Review №78

This Thai restaurant was one of the most disappointing I've been to; the staff's rudeness made my visit even worse.

Diner Review №79

Poor service and rude staff

Diner Review №80

Extremely rude and arrogant staff. Please do not visit this place.

I'm happy to share the consistently enjoyable experience of eating at Dao Thai restaurant. The food is prepared and served with care and it allows the diner to select from a very extensive menu as well. It's a treat for the eyes, tastes, and tummy. Thank you Kenny and your team for being my go-to for 10+ years!

Diner Review №95

This is a very bad place to hang out with friends. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.
👎🏿👎🏻

Diner Review №96

Service very bad and it’s impossible to eat

Diner Review №97

Diner Review №98

The food was okay, but chicken was dry. No problem with waiting as it was quite quick and waitresses were friendly.

However, when the bill came, as we are colleagues we wanted to pay the bills of our own, we went to the cashier and that’s where the terrible experience started.
He didn’t want to let us pay separately and told us it would take him 20 minutes, and that he demanded us to split the whole bill even. I told him it would take 2 minutes since we all know what our individual bills costed and he just answered with « you do not teach me how to do my job », threw the pen and the receipt in our hands.
It was not up to standard as a restaurant, as we are not eating in a fast-food chain, and it should have been better the attitude towards customers.

Diner Review №99

Muy rico y delicioso su comida

Diner Review №100

My girlfriend and i were excited to eat here, since the outside patio is so cute and charming. But once we were inside, the place felt very dingy, and the table we were seated at was dirty. Halfway through eating, my girlfriend noticed black spots on some of her noodles (the BBQ Pork Bamee noodles). We flagged down the waiter and asked if those were supposed to be there/were part of the dish, and he said they were not and went to the kitchen to talk with the cook. When he came back, he said the noodles were "only a day old" and should be fine to eat, and that they just look weird.

We had lost both of our appetites by then so we just ended up paying and leaving. Will not be coming back.

Diner Review №101

We came here because all the other restaurants we wanted to go to were either full or closed. To our surprise it was a really nice experience. The outdoor seating had really nice ambiance, food and service were both good with no wait on a Saturday night. I ordered the pad see eiw with tofu which was good but would ask for marinated tofu for next time if they offer it. Hubby ordered chicken curry which he loved. We would definitely go back to try more menu items.

Diner Review №102

Restaurante Thai en el centro de Chicago, con una terraza agradable y buen servicio, al uso del amable y cordial pueblo Thai. Rica la tempura de verduras y bueno sin más el arroz.

Diner Review №103

Ok

Diner Review №104

I was in the mood for Asian food but wanted to try a place close to downtown where I could enjoy the beautiful summer weather. I saw that this place has an outdoor seating area, and it's right in the middle of downtown with big buildings surrounding it. It was such a relaxing, cozy experience with an urban feel! The food was so flavourful! I loved it!

Diner Review №105

Diner Review №106

Diner Review №107

Diner Review №108

I went to Dao on 8-18-23 @ 11:50 a.m. I ordered takeout I wasn’t greeted upon arrival once I received my food I returned to work I started eating my food once I stirred my food I noticed the rice was old and had a very funny taste I ordered Shrimp fried with chicken in it I’ll never return to this place I’m African American and I hate to believe they are races but once my White coworker ordered the same thing in person as Takeout and her food was fresh as if it’s just been cooked I hate I was treated this way I called back and asked for the Manager or Owner the guy on the phone stated he don’t no what time the mangers/ Owner will be in I asked for the name of the manager/ Own and he stated he can’t give out the managers name I do plan on making another visit there so that I can speak to the whoever is in charge I spent $ 25.00 on my lunch break to be treated like this and to be served old food is disgusting disappointing and disrespectful I’m also going to report them to the BBB also I’m so upset with the service and food I received and on Top of that I also tipped them not knowing my food would be like this very poor food.

Diner Review №109

Dine here once each week. Generally, start w/an appetizer like vegetable mini eggrolls, chicken pot stickers or crab rangoon. I had the chicken rice soup and my lunch buddy had the tom yum noodle soup. Always tasty and you never leave feeling hungry. Took a yummy strawberry bubble tea to go. Wait staff is prompt and very attentive. In fact, over the years, they've become rather like family.

Had a great dine-in experience with my friends. Cute little Thai restaurant place with beautiful ambience warm and friendly service. Loved their iced Thai coffee. They have mutiple food substitution options. Overall, a good place to grab a quick bite at a reasonable price.
20% gratuity added for party of 6 and above.

Diner Review №114

Food was simply disgusting!! Waste of money

Diner Review №115

fast service and good soup

Diner Review №116

Very nice place to sit outside, fast and good service. Great food.

Diner Review №117

The place is not bad but the food is extremely sweet

Diner Review №118

Ordered the Pad Thai, Dao's Noodle Delight, Singapore Noodles, and the Green Curry. The Pad Thai was too plain, however, the Green Curry was the best. The Green Curry had a spicy kick to it and came with eggplant pieces, spinach and peppers in it. The service was good and the decorations indoors were nice, although we sat outdoors in the patio area. The table we sat on had a big hole in the middle, so it may be prudent to get that replaced/repaired. Overall, the food prices are reasonable, the food is decent and the service was good.

Diner Review №119

A true throw back to 70s thai restaurant experience, food is excellent huge potions. Share a few appetizers. Hidden gem of the magnificent mile.

Diner Review №120

Tom kha - delicious, Thai tea - unforgettable, rice chicken soup - just right. Plenty of tables to sit at.

Diner Review №121

What a strange experience. The server brought us the wrong appetizer and proceed to say we ordered it when we didn’t. Ok? I ordered a side of rice and it never came out. She proceed to say it didn’t go out because I didn’t order it when I did? Okay, am I being punked? I enjoy eating out. This is the first of its kind where I’m being told I did order something when I didn’t or telling me I never got something because I never ordered it. I “reordered” the rice and still….haven’t got the side. If I was from the area, I wouldn’t be back. The pad Thai lacked flavor in my opinion. Egg rolls were good.

Diner Review №127

Diner Review №128

Food was better than my expectation. We had Pad knee Mao and thai curry. Both were very delicious. Quantity was good enough for two people for light dinner on single item. They do have patio setting available too.

Diner Review №129

Mamma Mia! Cute little spot, wonderful service and food! The decor is absolutely gorgeous!

Diner Review №130

Delicious authentic Thai. Reasonable price. Great atmosphere and attentive service.

Diner Review №131

Great service!

Diner Review №132

We loved it here!! The customer service was great as well. It was my daughter's birthday and she wanted to try something new so we walked in.

Diner Review №133

the iced coffee here is really good. that was the best part of the experience. the pad thai, as other reviewers have noted, is mostly noodles and doesn’t have fresh flavors. my friend didn’t finish her noodle dish or take it to go; she said it wasn’t very good. the curry looked decent. i think overall this place reminds me of a takeout place, based mostly in salt, sugar, and fillers. they need to bring in all of the fresh herbs and spices that makes thai food really great! seems like they’re cutting corners here.

Diner Review №134

Diner Review №135

Great green curry

Diner Review №136

Overall very reasonable price and common thai food with substitution options. I did feel that it was odd that I couldn't add levels of spices and some of the traditional sauces were not available, however, all the noodles were perfectly cooked and the vegetables were excellent. The atmosphere and different seating was interesting and fun, but it could use a little deep cleaning. It was a great stop for lunch if you need something fairly quick in and out.

Diner Review №137

Sorry ! Didn’t quite like the Pad Thai served to me - too sweetish and the chicken added to it didn’t taste good. Nways leaving the chicken pieces I ate the noodles as I was hungry. No one bothered to ask how the food was and yet insisted that I leave them a tip !

Diner Review №138

Service wasn't that good, and so was the food. Waitress was asking for a tip....

Diner Review №139

Diner Review №140

Good food. Had the Pad Thai. Shrimp dumplings and chicken egg roll. Definitely ask for no MSG on food when ordering. Had me full af all day 😂 other than that. Good experience wife had the lemon grass soup it was good too

Diner Review №143

FIRST and LAST TIME. Was in the area, and I love various Asian cuisines. Had some time to my next appointment, And was hungry. Spicy Fried Basil Rice was OFF, tasted minty and chopped up chicken and rice just wasn't up to my standards. Crazy Spicy Noodles were NOT SPICY.... Appetizer Chicken wings were tasty and the Crab Rangoon was greasy and had a sweet taste to it (not up to my standards). No I did not enjoy and for a bill of almost $70. I could and should have just Starved until I got home and ate. Oh yeah as I left this place a male worker chased my daughter and I for a "Tip" for their service... Tip OVER PRICED, UNDER SEASONED, NOT ACCURATE SEASONINGS, STRANGE PRESENTATION, I've had way better Thai food, Asian infused foods, Asian delicacy, etc. And seeing the time we live in, I hope it was worth the $5 run plus $68 bill and my review here for 2 Appetizers and 2 weird odd tasting Entrees!

Diner Review №144

I like everything about this place. The dishes I've had are tasty and full of complex flavors, the room is a beautiful and spacious place decorated with Asian art and statuary, and the staff is courteous, attentive and professional. Last night I had their vegetable entree with chicken and it may have been the biggest plate of nicely-prepared mixed vegetables I've ever gotten at a restaurant. (The waiter advised me that by default it is just vegetables, chicken and rice, and would I like to have them add a brown sauce to it, and I said yes and it was perfect.) The chicken egg roll appetizer was also crispy and delicious. I have now been there three times and look forward to my next visit. Dao Thai is my go-to place when I am in Streeterville.

Diner Review №145

The food is not authentic, chock full of oil and sugar. It honestly tastes just like a Chinese takeout.

Diner Review №146

Food is absolutely amazing. Real authentic Tai food. Service is great. They are very helpful for those that haven't eaten Tai food in decades. And the atmosphere feels authentic as well

Diner Review №147

Perfect description of a Thai themed restaurant. Service was extremely respectful, food was delicious, do not order the Tom Yum shrimp soup it is very salty.

Diner Review №148

Diner Review №149

Delicious food. Not busy when we went, quick service.

Diner Review №150

We dined in for a late dinner on Saturday evening. The restaurant was mostly empty - service was quick, and our food was hot. The food portions were very generous and everything tasted good. Not the best Pad Thai I have ever had but no major complaints. Their outdoor patio looks like it would be nice in the warmer months.

Diner Review №151

Delicious. Satay chicken to start, peanut sauce was excellent. I had Pad Kra-Prao (beef, basil leaf, jalapeno, tomato in spicy sauce). This was delicious and so flavorful. Spicy but not inedible hot.
She had Pad See Eiw, and it was delicious too.

Diner Review №152

This was some of the worst Thai food I've ever had, taking price, quality and location into account. It honestly tasted like something from the frozen section at Walmart that's been microwaved. The appearance is misleading. the interior and decor are upscale and comfortable and it's very close to the Magnificent Mile, where you expect a higher level of quality and competence. I honestly expect a higher level of competence in general when I'm in Chicago and I'm rarely let down so this was an unpleasant surprise.

The service was very friendly and if we took the food quality out of the equation, this would have been a 5 star experience but if you run a restaurant, food is kind of the point. The prices were within the range of reasonable for a quality Thai meal but since it ended up being so bad that we just threw the leftovers away, the prices were unreasonably high. there were a lot of leftovers too because we just didn't like it. Actively avoid this spot

I have been going here for the past 10 years. Very fast service. Delicious food. Friendly staff.

Diner Review №158

My favorite place for Thai.

Diner Review №159

I ordered online Basil Chicken. I asked for the dish to be ex-spicy. Instead it was prepared ex-sweet. This is a restaurant where I always get Basil Chicken. It was so sweet, I was unable to eat it. These dishes are not cheap. $20.00 down the garbage disposal

Diner Review №160

Ok so this place is on point and I really like the atmosphere that they have the food is great but the best about that place is the waitress Jeanie sorry if I got your name wrong but she is absolutely a great person with an amazing spirit and a wonderful service attitude I would definitely come back just for her recommendations and smile ........... over all definitely a good place for dining

Diner Review №161

Excellent all around. Absolutely delicious. Curry was fantastic. Fast service. One of my favorites next time I come to Chicago.

Diner Review №162

Had wonderful dinner at this place just off the Mag Mile. Satay chicken dipped in sweet peanut sauce delight my taste bud. River North neighborhood features a few decent Thai restaurants. Dao Thai is definitely one of them. I also recommend Silver Spoon on Rush St.

Diner Review №163

Great food for inspiring depression. Tom kah soup water had decent flavor. Not pad Thai & spring rolls wrapped in last year’s rice paper deserve honorable mention. 10/10 recommend to all enemies.

Diner Review №164

The waiter was prompt. Other than that, it was pretty bad :/. Food was literally cold when it came out (I’ve never actually had that happen before) and the beef was very chewy. Very little flavor. I will likely not come back.

Diner Review №165

Cozy environment, food is very authentic and appetizing.

Diner Review №166

Eh my table had food bits on it and then the entree's meat had no flavor. Tasted like school cafeteria quality. But it was cheap at least.

Diner Review №167

I had the best Thai food definitely worth going!

Diner Review №168

My first time here, I came on Sunday night with a party of 3, very fast seating and service. The seating is so cute. Crab Rangoon were freshly fried. Great customer service. Our food came out fast and it was great. I ordered the yellow curry (hot) and the hot was adding jalapeños. Also, points for peas in a yellow curry. (Sister got hot curry with chicken). After eating here a second time a think four stars is more practical. It’s not EXCEPTIONAL food, I had the hot fried curry (red) with shrimp and begged for spicy and this time there were no jalapeños and it really was just base level spicy. Service is still great and would happily return.

Diner Review №169

I love the service here. Everyone SUPER kind, sweet, and attentive. there's lots of seating options and it is so cool and slightly inconvenient to climb into tour seat but it feels homey. There's a bunch of noodle options so we had to get 2 and a carry and papaya salad as a classic Thai dish.

Papaya salad looked good and it comes with one shrimp. I felt like it missed a bit of sweetness and chili for me. This one's very tart and felt like it did not have much flavor profile as I am use to. It's very refreshing and the papaya got an addictive crunch to it. The peanut are so good with the whole salad is palette cleansing.

Mussman curry with chicken. The chicken was good perfectly in the curry which I'm very satisfied with. It comes with a side of white rice. Curry is nutty, sweet, and creamy flavor that's so good. It honestly surprised me when I got some pineapple because I never thought fruit be in a curry. There's bits of potato and tomato. MUST TRY.

Pad khee mao with beef aka spicy crazy noodles which isn't so crazy spicy but def spicy if you hit those jalapeños which adds alot to the dish. It's thick broad noodles that are chewy and absorbs the sause well. The veggies and fresh Thai basil makes this dish very delicious and goes with beef the best. Over dish is slight sweet and spicy with umami from the sause. I recommend.

Bamee Noodles in soup is also super refreshing with thin egg noodles and bbq pork. I did not like the pork. The noodle and soup is very good and light. It's lighter on the flavor and the egg noodles is very similar to wonton noodles. The cilantro in the broth makes it very clean and fresh. I enjoyed it

Overall the food was decent with fair pricing and fair portions.

Pretty mediocre spot, but went because of the good reviews on here. They seated me quickly and served me quickly which was great. The ambiance felt dirty/sticky as was the table. I ordered a shrimp massaman curry, but it was not very good. Most of it was potatoes which unfortunately had an odd texture probably due to being undercooked. It was also full of canned pineaples. The curry and shrimp weren't very flavorful either. I also would have enjoyed a napkin and maybe a fork to come with my spoon. All said and done it cost me $40 before tip (including a beer). Wish I had checked another review site before going.

If I could only give negative 10 stars, I would. I have had much better food from this restaurant and it has gone down hill since Covid, to the point where I will never eat here again after today. I ordered beef fried rice with extra egg (after rush hour, mind you) and the beef was literally white. When I brought this to the waitress' attention she just agreed with me and said she would tell the chef. Then a manager arrived to my table who also stated he would tell the chef. NOTHING else was done about it. I couldn't eat the beef at all as it was tough like rubber and simply inedible. I pushed it to the side and only ate the fried rice. I paid for my meal and tipped well like I always do. But I will never return to this establishment again. And this is too bad because I have enjoyed this restaurant for that past 20 years. Their loss. It would be unethical for me to not share this with the rest of Streeterville residence.

First time here / sauces in dishes are authentic & tasty. I feel like when u r doing mass production for the evening, when it comes to chicken - go with dark meat, it’s tender, juicy & flavorful! White meat tends to dry out & get tough

Food was delicious, the waiters were very kind and caring.
Very much recommended.

I had the worst Nam Tok ever. The meat was over cooked and chewy. Not spiced as basic thai would have cooled
Better offering level of thai street food - even if less meat- ( even not higher food cost ) but properly prepared
I was thinking to ask for other dish but my collègue was also disappointed with his Pa Thai.
I’m travelling a lot and even at high cost rental and food you can do better.
Location is premium but it doesn’t respond thai standard I know.
Reduce the dish or increase the price but bring back a thai cook (a real one)

The food was all delicious!

The rice that comes with the curry dish is so tiny you would have to order rice separately.

The Worst Tom yum soup with noodles I have ever eaten at any Thai restaurants. I ordered a Tom yum chicken soup with noodles that was listed on their menu for $14.50 and the description indicated that the soup base supposed to be sweet and sour, spicy, chopped lemongrass, and with a few other spices. When it was brought out to me it didn’t look or smelled anything like Tom yum soup. It looked and tasted more like a regular chicken noodle soup. I immediately asked the waitress if this dish was brought to me in error, she then brought it back into the kitchen and when it was brought back out to me, seems to me that they just added 2 dried hot red peppers, onion, vinegar and mushrooms to the soup and took out all the noodles. When I asked shouldn’t there be noodles in my soup, she said, it doesn’t come with white rice, noodles or anything. I did not end up eating the soup at all (picture shown below). It tastes awful and yet I was charged for the Tom yum chicken soup with noodles. (Note: they do have just the Tom yum soup on their menu for just $12.95). No wonder this restaurant looks very rundown. If I could I would give them a negative 10 rating. I have eaten plenty of Thai foods at different Thai restaurants in different states as I am a regular traveler.

Pretty deck. Food was pretty meh.

Diner Review №186

Was not impressed. Also, their papaya salad with shrimp came with ONE shrimp. For $13, I felt like I should have gotten 3-4 shrimp...
Crab Rangoon was only cream cheese, no crab.

A friend and I had lunch here this past weekend while on vacation. We dined in the outside area and loved the pleasant atmosphere. Our server was wonderful. We ordered the fried wontons, tom yum soup, and tom kha soup, which were all delicious. Wonderful all around and I plan to visit again when I'm in Chicago.

Great Food ! Bad experience.. I order shrimp noodles and when they came out I asked the waiter does the meal come with more than 3 shrimp and he argued that I must have ate the other shrimps. I always go there for lunch … I felt insulted… he started speaking in Chinese to his co worker and comes back and says he knows I had more than 3 shrimp.. I will never go back and I don’t recommend anyone to go back … I go to this restaurant maybe once a week for 6 years .. I will not lie about 3 shrimps

Everything was perfect. The food was great, the flavours were really authentic and prices were extremely low for the amount of food which can be shared between two easily. The service from the waitress was also really kind and friendly as well as profesional. The ambiance in the terrace was pleasant. I had the Pad Thai and would deffinetely Would recommend it, the soup was also tremendous.
