Pretty good authentic Thai noodles soup. It all shared same broth base but pretty good. Noodles served with a bunch of condiments such as sugar, fish sauce and homemade chili.
They offered another decent authentic Thai dishes as well. They also offers good selection of Thai beers which is I like the most when I am here. A lots of street parking around the restaurant which is best. Definitely come back again.
Pork egg roll was good with the sweet n sour sauce but the chicken pad Thai was almost completely flavorless. The only thing I can say is that it looks like pad Thai. Chicken was cooked okay but seriously it barely even smelled like pad Thai. If it wasn't for the peanuts and lime they provided I could barely taste anything. Did they run out of spices? Finally the seaweed salad was overly fishy. My husband said it’s the worst seaweed salad he’s ever had.
I ordered the pad Thai they have these ridiculously skinny noodles and it was so much sugar. I couldn’t consume the food at all. I ordered the tum yum soup. It was also nasty and sweet. I don’t know what’s wrong with the chef putting all that sugar in food, but this was disgusting. It tasted nothing like any other Thai food I’ve ever had in my life if you want to lose your money order from them, they refused to reimburse me and I was tired. Normally I would’ve cooked, but I decided since I wasn’t feeling well I would order some food now I have wasted $28. The rating is a zero for me. Don’t order from this place .
Second time eating here and todays meal was not it. No flavor in the fried rice not even salt! You’re practically getting exactly as described in the food description. Rice, egg, onion, carrot, tomato that’s it! Don’t expect flavor of any kind. I’m giving them 2 stars because they’re always on time and the food is hot upon delivery.
Very friendly. Great Thai street noodle dishes here and they open until late night!!
Recommend for pad-see-ew tofu with kales, yen-ta-fo noodles, bbq pork noodles, pork ball noodles (less broths with extra sweet sauce-please ask your waitress ), fried fish balls, coconut ice cream. This is the closest to authentic street Thai noodle dishes in Chicago.

They always have great food and friendly service!
Great service and food is excellent
The food is so good, and the service is great
I have tried it every now and then hoping I just had a bad food day. But nope. Won ton are over fried and rubbery ugh! Shrimp rolls dry. Rama chicken was okay. But all appetizers I have tried not good. The boba smoothie was not fresh even I saw the person make it. Milk is powder and boba was sticked to each other tasted like “old ice”
I’m done.

Oh my GAWsH this food is delish. Got the drunken noodles spicy and with beef and what a perfect meal for a night in. I’ve had their tofu pad Thai before and it was also really good. Excited to try more!
I have eaten here a few times myself and with friends, but the last time I visited, I found a large cockroach in the bathroom and this ruined my appetite. I ordered a pad thai and it wasn’t very flavorful like I remembered either. Will likely not return unfortunately.
genuinely one of my favorite places in town. amazing food, great prices and friendly staff. huge fan of the massaman curry.
amazing food! great vegan options that were clearly marked which was super helpful. cute and cozy atmosphere as well!!
Very poor service
Had a nice $10 lunch meal. The food wasn’t very spicy but they did provide hot sauce when asked. Great service and food was ready quickly.
Great late night spot. Went with a few friends. The scallion dumplings and Panama noodles are exceptional and the egg rolls and green curry were pretty good but room for improvement there.
Awesome ambiance and food. Went here with my husband and son. Food is delicious!
Try it out!!
Delicious food and beer.
Frozen food, don’t go here !
Was really excited to try this place and decided to eat inside. We got only appetizers to try before deciding on entrees and thank goodness we did because they were atrocious. I was excited to try the vegetable egg rolls but was angered to find that the filling was not just cold, but was icy. As if it was frozen and they just quickly fried it to hide it. Potstickers were mediocre at best, chicken satay was burnt and not flavorful. We quickly got the check without trying to eat more, this place was a joke
One of the best par thai dishes I have had! Excellent flavor and the food comes out at a perfect temperature when brought home
Absolutely Love this place! Consistently abundant and delicious, shrimp pad thai is a favorite, yet all meals over the past 6+ years have been wonderful. Great staff and service too.
I visited 🇹🇭 Thailand a long time ago, and have been looking for some authentic Thai food ever since. This is it. I highly recommend the Crab Rangoon. I also had the chicken fried rice, and it was very good as well. The people working there were friendly and courteous.
Ordered the pad see ew on Ubereats. When I received my order, there was a black hair on one of the pieces of chicken. Restaurant told me to contact Uber for a refund. Sucks because that was my dinner for tonight. I won't be eating it because I'm now grossed out and C'est Bien Thai did not offer to replace my order or do anything to fix the moment. Gross, gross, gross.
The basil duck was AMAZING!!! The duck was so delicious and I’m not normally a duck gal. Spicy but yummy! We also loved the chicken pineapple fried rice.

Among other things, I ordered the green curry through DoorDash. The menu description specifies “served with jasmine rice.” When I received my order, there was no jasmine rice. I honestly wouldn’t have minded paying for rice separately it that would have guaranteed its inclusion. The curry does have a slight kick, and the rice is pretty essential. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any rice at home that I could make. And even if I had, that would’ve added another 30 minutes to the whole process when I specifically ordered delivery because I didn’t have time to make dinner in the first place. I ended up eating the cucumber salad and going to bed. It was fine, but nothing to write home about. When I did eventually try the curry (the next day, after going to the grocery store and making my own rice), I found the overall flavor lacking (in my experience, curries are usually better the second day, so take that for what it’s worth). I tried adding a little salt, but I think maybe it’s missing umami from the composition. Somehow it tasted bland even though there was flavor. I know. That doesn’t even make sense when I type it, but that’s the only way to put it. I tried adding a little salt, but that didn’t achieve the same depth of flavor I’m used to from other Thai restaurants. I generally love curries. After a long day at work serving customers, this was a pretty big disappointment.
Absolutely incredible! 🙌 I live in the area and order pickup here weekly. My order is always ready before the estimated time because they're so fast! It's always fresh too. They have the best crab Rangoon in the city! I also often get the fried rice. I'm not sure if they changed the fried rice recipe or if it's a new chef tonight but it absolutely slaps! Like it is hitting the spot so hard. They are my lifeline when I'm hangry and need food now. Highly recommend!
Food is not that good at all the drinks are ok menu is kinda of confusing too … I got the pepper steak… it came with 3 pieces of steak and load ton of pepper and raw vegetables not good at all
The crab ragoons where nice but the sauce that came with it tasted weird like if it was old … don’t get the tai iced coffee it taste just like you local grocery story instant coffee with ice nothing “Thai” about it
Possibly the best pad Thai in Chicago
Tasted like puke
Great man
Really great Thai food fresh and hot!
One of my go to Thai places. Their chicken wings are probably my favorite in the city
Was great food but I guess I didn't ask for it to be spicy because it just wasn't. Which was a surprise to me.
Great spot for Thai, and open later than most. Staff is super friendly and take out was very quick. UPDATE 3/2023 foods still great, staff still friendly and prices have remained relatively stable considering everything. Overall still a great restaurant and a solid take out/delivery options
C'est Bien is consistently one of my favorite spots in the city. If you haven't tried it, you must! Everything is amazing.
Exceptional flavor in their dishes. We love the green curry, pad see ew with beef and chicken (both great), and enjoy the soups. Our number one spot for Thai food! We drive out of our way for their food.
best pad thai of my entire life bussin
So-so overall. The food was merely ok to good, but I didn't care for the impersonal service here.
Really good place, their green curry and glass noodle pad thai are exceptional
Best veganized pad see ewe and Thai fried rice I’ve had in a very long time. I thought I didn’t need any other Thai restaurant after finding urban vegan, but I was wrong. They have their strengths for sure. I don’t think I’ll go anywhere else for noodles for a very long time though. Can’t wait to come back!
Small portions. Ordered a 5-piece chicken wing but only got 4 pieces. Pad See Ewe tasted fine, but the drunken noodle tasted weird too many peppers and not enough noodles. I would avoid ordering the noodle dishes, because they don’t give enough noodles and too many of the vegetables/garnishes which make it hard to be filling and also a bit bland…
Best Pad Thai in the area.
Always friendly, and they staff LGBTQ+ members which makes my husband and I feel very welcomed.
A great no frills Thai restaurant 🙌
I got the Pad See Ew which could have had a little more broccoli for my taste but overall I cleared my plate easy so no complaints! I got it with chicken and that was wonderfully prepared. I also had the cucumber salad first which was nice and refreshing.
Overall, will definitely be coming back here in the future to support them!
It’s also very affordable for the city — for two noodle dishes and two salads it was $36 before tip … that doesn’t happen at many sit down places anymore.
Great food
We have had some nice meals here and then some that were okay. The Khao Soi was oddly salty on a recent visit. Green curry has been solid for me consistently.
C’est bien indeed!!!
Best lunch
Get the veggie potstickers! Yum
The food was ok
We are from out of town. Visited because they are open later than other Thai restaurants.
We placed a to-go order. Food was ready by the time we arrived. We ordered a variety of dishes, Thai fried rice, pad Thai, cream cheese wontons, cucumber salad, crying beef, Massaman curry.
Flavor was a bit disappointing except the curry. I’ve just had better. But if you crave Asian food after 11:00 pm, definitely go here.
This has been my go-to Thai spot for years! My husband and I order from here a couple times a month and the delivery is consistently quick and delicious! Highly recommend the shumai and the pad see ew dishes.
Very good food with a limited menu, but it's inexpensive. We'll worth the trip.
I ordered takeout, and loved the pineapple fried rice! A++++ Highly Recommended!
Amazing Thai. The tiger cries is the best I’ve ever had and the pad Thai is insanely good! I’m in love with this place.
Everything we got was so flavorful and delicious! Thank you!
Simply the best.
I've been going to C'est Bien Thai for years now and frequent very often! The staff has always been lovely and super sweet and on it with service as well as take-out during the pandemic. My favourite dish is Tiger Cries which I highly recommend! I also love their pan fried potstickers and their slushie Thai tea boba is worth it!!!
Excellent!!! That’s it. Everything thing we ordered was delicious. Have finally found our go to Thai restaurant!
I’ve tried a few Thai places in the area, C’est Bien Thai has the been my go-to so far for Green Curry and Tom Yum Soup! It never disappoints!
I always order from here. Pad see ew, thai fried rice and and sometime bamee. I've had it twice recently and it's like a different restaurant. Almost no taste to the fried rice and bamee. I'm not sure what happened. Portions are still good and price is fair, but I miss the old C'est Bien.
The "service" was an abomination. Rude waiter who barely paid us attention. Even though we were one of two patrons there. Don't waste your time.
C'est Bien always comes in clutch for late night Thai. Thank you!
Great food for reasonable prices. Plus, the staffing very nice.
Delicious Thai food and very authentic, can definitely recommend the Tiger Cries amongst everything else
Loved their food , best service
I love this spot! I come here a lot after work for takeout, but dining in is great too! Friendly staff, good prices and portions and tasty food!! Love the vegetarian options!!
Not very good
10/10 would NOT recommend.
I had the drunken noodles and the crepe and they were both good, and the people I was with said that it was the best Thai food that they had!
They dont follow the safety of wearing the mask, the lady at night not professional ,and she has attitude ,I don't know if there something else, but I didn't eat there
Sad to say, the size of the. portion has shrunk. The price went up. And the food is cold when you get it. I live around the corner and waited 10 minutes to get my food. (The food was not ready when I arrived) I went home and the potstickers were gummy and not cooked, the vegetable rolls were cold, the drunken noodles was heavy in grease, and the crab fried rice was super salty. I called and asked if they have a new cook- I've never experience this horrible food. Their response? If I give you credit it comes out of my pocket. This is unbelievable!!
Excellent food! wonderful service & great prices!
Contender for best Thai I've had in Chicago. Cozy and comfortable, great Thai beer list, a fantastic lunch special ($8.50!) And very good service.
Excellent services and delicious food
The ambience at cest bien Thai is utterly charming. They have the best service. Despite what it says online they do have liquor (the sake is cheap and excellent). Their red curry was amazing. Get it with both vegetable and tofu. You won’t regret it
The staff is very very rude.
Excellent and authentic Thai cuisine! Classics and house specialties alike, we really enjoyed the Panang curry, grilled pork, and crispy wings. Thai iced coffee wasn't too sweet and just right. Mango bubble tea was unique and fresh. Service was very friendly and fast. Highly recommended.
Top notch neighborhood Thai treats. All of the portions were large and the panang curry was extremely tasty. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu here
Good flavors . Ordered the noodles, rice and Panang curry. The take out was warm and the veggies were fresh .
I was very satisfied
Great taste food and nice stuff
It was ok. Price for portion was a bit high? Taste was a on salty side. As for me I will need to pass on returning.
Second time ordering from DoorDash and the delivery time has been impressive. The food is awesome! I grew up eating Thai food and so far, the dishes have delivered: chicken pad thai, pad see ew (ordered 2x), tofu panang curry, basil duck, pad woon sen, chicken laab, namsod, pineapple fried rice . . . all good!
More to come, but so far so good.
The best Thai restaurant on the northwest side. Very fresh ingredients extremely tasty. Highly recommend.
Amazingly delicious
New favorite spot!
the best thai food
Unfriendly staff and overpriced food. Just mediocre ! 🙄
My favorite Thai noodle soup in area.
Always good on!!
So I was kinda on the fence about ordering from here because I already have my preferred Thai food spot and because there aren’t many reviews on here... but it was late and my usual place wasn’t open. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised! I ended up ordering two nights in a row. The massaman curry is so good! Such a simple recipe that you wouldn’t think it could be made bad (but to my horror, I’ve received it made with sweet potato before... so yeah), but the onions still had a little crunch and the potatoes were basically the potato version of “al dente”. The pad thai was delicious as well. Also, the second night ordering, they packed some free potstickers (which i actually ordered the first night and loved)!! I don’t know if maybe they recognized my doordash name or something, but either way it was just really sweet and made me get all mushy...
UPDATE: Just wanted to come back and say that I also tried their Pad Woonsen Glass Noodle dish.... and it’s so GOOD. Wanted to order for the 3rd night (I’m supporting my local business!!) but they’re closed.
Food was fresh and deeeelicious!
The best Thai restaurant in Chicago. Every dish is packed with so much flavor.
Great price for the quality of the food.
This restaurant is a weeknight go-to. Delicious food, extremely friendly and welcoming staff, and wow they are fast with carry out orders! My favorites are the duck curry, the drunken noodles and the coconut bubble tea smoothie.
Looking for a local thai restaurant to support?
This is the best local thai. You can tell all ingredients are fresh and each dish is unique, not your regular american thai restaurant.
Presentation is key here. It made me want the food even more. Also, the decor was on point so after covid, bring your significant other for date night!
The scallion crepes were very tasty but also very oily. Even though I liked the flavor, the oil was overboard.
The pineapple fried rice was delish! The serving was a mile high. The cashew chicken was very tasty and you could tell the difference in quality of ingredients. It tasted like your parent made it.
The duck... oh man... it was hands down the best dish. I don't even eat duck and it was scrumptious. I didn't have any bits of fat and the green beans were cooked yet still crisp, just the way I like them. The green beans bursted with flavor from the duck. Truly it was a 5 star dish in my books.
Did we stop there? No way. Thai tea ice cream and coconut ice cream for the table! They make them in house and I've now found the local place to go for unique, fresh ice cream.
Their takeout game is strong, so be sure to support them to try all of this deliciousness.
The food and atmosphere was great
Great food. Made me feel like I'm back in Thailand. Also they have LEO beer AWESOME
Food was excellent. The Basil Duck had such great flavor.
Delicious pad see ew and great prices. My go to
It was decent food, took a long time to get it though and they were not busy at all
Great Thai food and friendly service. In general the food as less spicy than many other places but it more than makes for that in flavor. If you eat spicy food don't be afraid to ask.
Good curry and great boba tea.
The shumai is a killer dumpling
love the curry!
Very good food. Great waitstaff. Nice menu.
ME AND MY FAMILY LIKE THE FOOD AND HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE SERVER BUT TODAY WAS A DIFFERENT WOMAN AND SHE WAS REALLY RUDE . SHE JUST THREW THE MENUS AT THE TABLE. I ASKED MY HUSBAND TO TAKE OUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE BECAUSE WE WEREN’T ASKING FOR FREE FOOD. UNFORTUNATELY, BECAUSE OF THIS PERSON WE ARE NOT GOING ANYMORE. ALSO, I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING THE PLACE TO MY FRIENDS.
Delicious food and wonderful service. Plan on going back again soon!
Food is very tasty. Lunch special is cheap. Small place.
Crab fried rice is a must try.
Consistently good, authentic food at very reasonable prices. I love the lunch special and order at least once a week
Great food and great service, the best Thai ever! Nice seating that can accommodate.
The food was not that tasty
Excellent food.
Great food and great service
Ok. I was pleasantly surprised. I am skeptical of Thai places because I am particular about my Thai food. I got the pad see we with beef and red curry. I was starving as I hadn't eaten and didn't expect anything to be open. Ordered via doordash, The food was piping hot, generous portions, flavorful and fresh. Very reasonably priced. I would get an extra rice next time. You should check it out!
Authentic Thai food in a clean comfortable setting.
Slow service ever seen. When ever i used to come to pick up food all the time it used to be delayed.🖕🏿
Omg my new Thai Spot open late too!! Which is so great!
My mom used to own a small Thai a restaurant in Logan Square and our chefs were the best! I feel like I'm kind of a Thai food connoisseur. :-)
This spot is really good. Authentic Thai food and good spacious/clean restaurant.
Great flavors!
I love it. Very good food a cheap
reasonable prices, very good food.
