Relaxed Pan-Asian eatery featuring sushi & Thai dishes served amid simple, modern decor.
Delicious vegan egg rolls and edamame. The tofu red curry has a variety of perfectly cooked vegetables. The tofu in the curry is fried & tasty. The avocado in the salad is ripe and the greens are fresh. The owners are friendly. I ordered one meal, two appetizers and one salad. Ate dinner for two days. Very affordable. Will order again.
Their lunch special is priced so cheap you'll feel like you're back in the 2000s or late 2010s. Bangkok Belly is a worthwhile option if you're in a hurry and want something Asian.
I’ve always enjoyed dining at Bangkok Belly, and the food used to be fantastic. However, something feels off lately—it’s just not as good as it once was. The flavors aren't as vibrant, and the dishes don’t have the same impact. We still love the place and eat there, but I hope they figure out what’s going on with the taste. Another issue is that we’ve been wanting to dine in, but they continue to use "COVID" as the reason we can’t sit down, even though it's 2025 now. It’s frustrating, but we continue to enjoy their food at home. Still, I hope they can get back to what made them great!
This is a carryout restaurant only I have been eating vegetarian style food so this restaurant gives me my best options I have been ordering at least once a week and have been pleased every time their orders are ready quickly and they have lots of options I recommend this restaurant.
Great Thai food in Norwood Park, at a great price. The service has always been fast when I've gone. I've been here about 5 times and will definitely keep coming back.
I usually get takeout food, but have dined in once and it was fast service too. The dining room is small but has several larger tables and some smaller ones. I have included a photo of the takeout menu showing phone number and hours.
The food is fresh and the flavors are delicious. I love the vegetable fried rice with pineapple, the crispy vegan egg rolls with sweet & sour sauce, and the cucumber salad.
Currently, they only offer takeout. Great variety on their menu including Chinese and Korean cuisine. They also have a large sushi menu.
I had the basil fried rice and it was very authentic Thai flavored.
Unfortunately, service was not very friendly. Nothing negative, just very reserved and quiet.
Don’t be discouraged by the wait time given when you order for delivery. Our expected wait was 70 mins but it was at our door in 15 minutes! The food was delicious too. Panang curry chicken is my favorite.
if i am feeling a little eclectic in my cravings and can't decide on sushi or thai food i get my delivery fix here and get a little bit of everything at this asian fusion restaurant. the prices are reasoneable and you get a free item depending on how much you order. i have actually never been at the actual restaurant. but have ordered for delivery quite a bit. good food!

Good place

Best Crab Rangoon ever!
I drove 75 minutes to have my dinner and with the surprise that I only carry out, I think they should add that important information to their website so as not to waste time driving and trusting each other, the truth is that I was bothered by that attitude.
Don’t be discouraged by the wait time given when you order for delivery. Our expected wait was 70 mins but it was at our door in 15 minutes! The food was delicious too. Panang curry chicken is my favorite.
We ordered for delivery, my green curry soup was the worst i ever had, no broth, no flavor !!!! 😭, i couldn’t taste the coconut , I wanted white rice, not sure why they only have black rice , the dessert was the worst I’ve ever had, not sure if it’s an acquired taste ? Not my kind of Thai food at all .
Delicious Thai! We had pad Thai, crab Rangoon, goyza, shrimp tempura, and the lava roll. Everything was delicious. Great service and delivery!

Great food, good prices. Their Panang curry and really any of their other entrees are great.
Currently, they only offer takeout. Great variety on their menu including Chinese and Korean cuisine. They also have a large sushi menu.

It was actually pretty good.
Order numerous items. All delicious! Order ready on time and food was hot and fresh!
Rude service, Rude lady ringing me up they just lost a customer
Always reliable
The pad Thai was flavorless and so orange. It also had a lot of water in it and the noodles were falling apart super easily. Crab rangoon was the only good thing we ordered.
Their food is delicious. Highly recommend them!
Worst attitude, very rude ,stay away 😒
They have crispy noodles and large portions. Hell yeah!
I am disappointed to say that I placed an order during a night shift (well within the window of time allowed), and after 50 minutes of waiting, the DoorDash driver ended up calling and notifying me that he arrived at a closed restaurant. Fun times
Very mediocre Asian food (ordered via UberEats)
Food is very good here. Quick service, no dining, all take out.
Very good food and friendly workers. The portion sizes were a little small but it tasted pretty good.
It's a good place.
Unable communicate on the phone, rude
Food seems very fresh. Delivery service was excellent.
I’ve been coming here for years. After moving to other areas around Chicago and trying other sushi spots, this is still one of the absolute best spots for sushi. I’ve never tried anything besides their rolls, but their red dragon roll is definitely one of the best and worth the trip every time. Reasonably priced as well! Love this place.
Terrible, flavorless food. The pad Thai was inedible, the pad see ew was terrible and even the red curry lacked spice and had no flavor. The veggies and tofu were soggy. Like gross soggy. I’d give them 1 star except the lady on the phone was so nice.
Our favorite place fir Sushi!
Just ordered food from there no spoons for soup and no forks for the rice. I even asked for it they said it’s in the bag. Got back to my hotel the soup taste like it’s made with sugar and lemon. The chicken was so bad. These people are so cheap they used ground chicken to make it. I’ve been to Thailand before and they don’t do that there. I know this is not Thailand. But come on ppl. I wish google coud give negative stars they would get a negative 5 stars.
I recently ordered from Bangkok Belly on Uber Eats. I was excited to try the food. However, I was extremely disappointed when it showed up.
I've never had drier spring rolls, California rolls, and teriyaki chicken. The food was edible but set and extremely bland. I don't know if it's because it was the end of the evening or if the food was prepared incorrectly but I don't plan to order from here again.
Super friendly, very fast pick-up process, no wait. If you spend 25 bucks you get a free item and if u spend 35 bucks you get a free item, etc. I've ordered from here twice already and it's great so far!
Ordered Tako Su Salad, 2 rolls and Thai Fried rice with Beef. The salad was very small, 5 slivers of octopus. Rolls were ok, but there wasn't enough ginger and the shrimp was dry and not fresh. The rice was a huge let down. Old tough beef and frozen carrots and peas. 4 items over $50 and I wouldn't try another thing from here again. This was the worst Thai and sushi I've tried. 2 stars for prompt delivery and correct order.
Food is great!
Ordered pad thai and pepper steak. Both dishes were not good and did not taste fresh at all! The taste was so bad I couldn’t finish either dish.
The fried rice RULES!
They have roaches
We had the Red Curry, the Thai Soup Boat, and the Pineapple Rice. Everything was delicious and fresh--quite a feat with take-out. My only complaint is that I would loved it to be spicier. Will definitely go back!
So delicious, whenever I’m craving Thai food I come here
I have ordered from this restaurant quite a few times and it has always been decent, not the best but good. Everything I ordered yesterday was terrible. The fish in my sushi tasted old and dirty, I threw half of it away for fear I might get sick. The beef in the beef pad thai was dry and overcooked, and there were literally no vegetables. The orange chicken was dry, barely any sauce, and the tiny pieces of chicken were so overcooked that you could hardly chew them. The vegetables in the orange chicken were literally frozen peas and carrots- why bother?! I will never order from here again.
It was not exactly what I expected but it was good.
was missing several ingredients on my sushi roll when I called to let them know they were very rude, they also upcharge me without my knowledge! do not order from here they're are many better sushi places around.
Their food is so delicious!!!! I could eat it 24/7!!!!
Good food
We decided to order directly off the website because GrubHub takes so much and we wanted to be helpful to the business.
We ordered and the website seemed a bit wonky so we called to confirm the order.
The person from BB asked for my first and last name then said "Oh yes, we have it right here" After waiting over an hour we called back. We were then told our order was pick up, which it wasn't and then asked for our phone number. The person then said "Oh sorry. We have another person with same 1st name". What?!?!? So no food. We have a toddler so we couldn't wait any longer for another delivery. We tried to stay local. We tried to order off the website. Oh well. Lesson learned.
This cute little spot nestled in the heart of Norwood park steps from the train station is a hidden neighborhood gem. One of the best Thai food places in the area with staff that is really friendly complete with a cozy dine in area with BYOB option for a fun night out with friends or family. I am a long time native of the area and have seen restaurants come and go and I have to say I am so pleased that Nan and her family's restaurant is a mainstay . It is important to support local business and I am proud to give a shout out to one of my favorite places to eat in the area. The green curry is one of my favorite. They also have a great selection of rolls as well. Great lunch menu options and a staff that remembers your regular order and greets you with a smile every time.
Good sushi!
Finest Thai around!
The Wide Noodle Pad Thai smacks 😤
Nice cozy atmosphere... just found the place, but I’m definitely going to be a regular. Prices are very moderate.
Good food
Quaint atmosphere with phenomenal food and service. Love the Norwood Ok location due to it's small and intimate dining experience.
Great Thai food in Norwood Park, at a great price. The service has always been fast when I've gone. I've been here about 5 times and will definitely keep coming back.

Small, intimate place with great service and great food.
Great sashimi
Good Service. Great yum tai.
The tom kum soup was excellent. The duck curry was oki did like the lecyee fruit in it. Its BYOB. It's small and paring can be hard to find
Amazing food, super efficient service. Good options for vegetarians too!
Authentic Asian fusion. Curry was delicious, if a bit mild.
So cool
Pad thai was ok. I've had better but it wasn't bad. Love the ocean fried rice! And their crab rangoon are the best around!
Good food fast service BYOB
I walk up here once a while to get my fill on Thai food or some sushi, never disappointed by the friendly staff and great food there.
Best sushi in the neighborhood’
Good place for Asian fusion fare at reasonable prices. The satay and scallop appetzers were very good. The Tom Kha soup could be thicker with more coconut milk and less watered down and the sourness/sweetness balance adjusted better. I was not impressed with the lime chicken - the battered fried chicken was overcooked and had too much batter. The Basil Catfish was however spectacular.
So so at best
Quaint spot near O'Hare. Great pad Thai
Love this place for take out. My favorite is pad ki mao chicken. Staff is friendly and attentive
Just ok..I've eaten alot of Thai food and this is just so so
This is a modest, family-owned Asian/sushi restaurant. The small modified storefront space is definately urban with a Thai-style decor. The food is good and reasonably-priced. I've always found the service friendly and attentive. A good place for dining alone or small groups hat I look forward to visiting again.
Delish!
Ordered the pad Thai and the King Kong roll. Superb. It was warm still even being a delivery. Some of the best sushi I’ve had. And the prices are great. Will be ordering again for sure
Very good
Amazing smoothies.
Best place for Pad Thai in the area! Sushi is awesome too, sweet potato roll is my favorite. Reasonable prices, great for take-out
Food is good, but rating it a 3 because we asked for extra fish sauce and the male server said they didn't have any. They cook with it!! It's in almost every Thai dish. We have gotten it at every other Thai restaurant we have been to. Pretty sure he was lying. If not for that would have rated it a 5. Will not be going back.
I ordered take out and went to pick up. The place itself isn't impressive... almost run down looking. Some of the portions were decent, others were small. Orange chicken didn't have much sauce but was VERY sweet. The Pad Tai smelled bad but tasted ok. I never had what they called a hand roll sushi roll but I won't be getting that again, very strange and for some reason $1 extra. A bit costly for the amount of food we received.
Our favorite neighborhood spot for Thai food. Very reasonable prices, decent portions, very good menu selection. BYOB. The lunch specials are great deal. Thank you!
Very nice!
The spring rolls had zero flavor as did the watered down sauce that was served with it. The edamame had heavy salt on it, and the main dish had dry flavorless pieces of chicken and tofu that had the consistency of a dish sponge. The server looked inconvenienced by our being there, but that just may have been her normal expression so no points deducted for that. The crab rangoon was okay.
Great value and they gave us good service after we mentioned we were running late.
This is hands down the best Thai-Japanese food in Norwood Park and the area around here.
Love it! Great food
Not good in any way... Food smells really bad. The veggie egg roll are ok. Not worth the 7 bucks for lunch.
Can't rate customer service because I only saw the server 3 times. He spent the majority of time in the back watching TV.
I'm not sure why I keep coming here.
The spring rolls were hard and bland. The rice paper wrapper broke into pieces it was so dry. The plum sauce was great. The beef pad thai had too much fish sauce and smelled like a fish tank.
The beef was inexplicably tough.
Very good food. The Rama sauce was really tasty. Not huge portions, but that was fine with us. Friendly owners, small family place.
Delicious but ask the food not to be too spicy.
Absolutely delicious, with excellent, friendly service.
I have been to this place a couple of times because it is so close to home. I will from now on drive the extra five or ten minutes to get better food. The thai food is bland. The flavors just don’t pop like they should with Thai food. Let’s not even get into the lack of spice. The sushi was ok but I have a feeling it was borderline as to if it was fresh or not. In my opinion just pass this place up and find somewhere else to go.
Great food, excellent and friendly service. It's a cozy and comfortable place to eat.
Love this place! Great sushi and Thai food!
Great Thai food and sushi. Fast and affordable. Dine in is byob.
We walked in at 8:05 they close at 9 the woman seats us gives us menus pours us water & comes back to the table 5min later to tell us the kitchen is closed???? The door says they close @9 the website says they close @9 he'll I'm writing this review @ 8:25.... That's extremely unprofessional..... I will never go there again & now after reading the bad reviews about there food quality I would never go back. THERE SERVICE SUCKS.
Very unhappy with food. Had been here once before and once impressed. Not today.
Good tasting chicken, duck, and sushi.
Two bottles of sake later we ended up at Iron Horse Ale House! Good food! BYOB! do it!
Got the Thai chicken fried rice lunch. It was very good and I had enough to take with. Miso soup good portion. The appetizer is a real teaser; it is small, but not a big deal to me. The whole meal at $7, I thought was definitely worth it
good food
The food here is just foul and spoiled. Smelly Dishes and stinky sushi! NOT FRESH! I hope no one else gets SICK LIKE I DID!
There's nothing to like about this place. Small dining room with uncomfortable seating. The food was awful from the soup to the entrees. I'm surprised they get any repeat business when there are better options in the area.
Nice staff but my food was bland and they forgot the fork in my bag so I had to use my fingers. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish cause I've heard great things
Great sushi!!!
This place is OK. Very friendly staff. Cute little space with a cozy feel. But it was missing that extra special yumminess I associate with great Thai food.
This place is great! The Thai food is excellent. The sushi is tasty and priced accordingly. The staff are sweet and accommodating. The only drawback is its a small space, but we've always gotten a table quickly.
I went here with a friend and we both ordered the Big Pad Thai. The food was absolutely delicious! We really need a good Thai restaurant around this neighborhood, and I think we finally got one :)
My wife and I order here regularly and tonight may have been our last. The food was oily and my noodles were clearly burnt. Pad Thai had no flavor at all. When I order 25$ worth of food I expect it to have more than just oily burnt noodles. We have had to return an item before for similar issues. Thought it was a one off but we are seeing a pattern and not liking what we are getting. Sorry Bangkok Belly this is good bye from us. We no longer recommend and have removed your menu from our kitchen.
Delish Thai food and fresh sushi
Fresh and tasty. Nice selection of Thai and sushi for the whole family to enjoy. Our favorite things to order are the crab Rangoon, golden cashew chicken, pad see ew, and sushi rolls.
