Serving quick & delicious Thai food!
I was taken by surprise with the quality and taste of the food here at Thai Fusion. The lady taking our order was very pleasant and helpful in explaining the dishes. The food portions were great and the heat levels were just right. I have had a lot of good Thai food but this was top level. Curry Fried Rice with Beef and Pad Ped.
Recently went and had a negative experience, and the owner replied, offering a replacement plate for the one I had ordered..so here’s the second review!
I would be lying if I said that management does not care for our reviews. They were extremely responsive, apologetic, and kind on the phone. I ordered the Pad-See-Ew with vegetables and was surprised to not only find a LOT more vegetables, but also great flavors. The only thing I’d say is to ask for one spice level lower than you normally would—they really pack the spices! I had an extremely pleasant experience the second time around, and am definitely going to visit again.
I appreciate the owner’s responsiveness and concern, and would definitely recommend giving this place a shot.
Read good reviews about this restaurant, and the food did not disappoint. Pad kee Mao was very tasty, and good portion size. Not cheap (Thai food tends to skew a bit higher than Chinese), but worth the price overall - you know its a good restaurant when even their cheaper menu items are high quality.
Ambience is disappointing though, so not the best place for a sitdown meal. All their food is served in takeout containers, so you might as well take your food elsewhere.
I was very unimpressed with the food at the Illini Union location. The dish taste nothing like teriyaki chicken, and there was absolutely no teriyaki sauce on the chicken. The meal was essentially just plain chicken and white rice, totally lacking flavor. I ended up tossing my food in the trash. It was a total waste of $12.06. If you're craving teriyaki, I'd avoid the Illini Union location. Maybe their other location is better.

First time here, and everything was delicious! My husband and I had the Thai Basil, he the Chicken and I the Pork. My pork was sooo tender with sauteed zucchini, onions and basil, and a very mild but delicious sauce, served over sticky rice. Our son ate the Chicken Pad Thai over noodles, and said his dish, too, was delicious. We will certainly return.
I love thai fusion!! Service is great and fast, and food is hot and yummy!! I recommend getting their items 1 or 2 hot--upgrades the taste.
Good was largely flavorless and over priced. Pad Kee Mow was watery and noodles under done. Pad Thai had almost now seasoning. Both my wife and I got digestive issues after.
We had dinner inside on 4/20/24. The service was good. I had discomfort and upset stomach within an hour. My husband felt upset stomach within a few hours as well. The food did not taste bad, but clearly some ingredients or food handling caused an unpleasant stomach reaction. I will not be returning.
Mid
The food here is always exceptionally fresh, everything is made to order, and the taste also matches in quality. Surprisingly, the wait time to receive your food is sometimes under 10 minutes. The restaurant has a really clean and calm atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and try to connect with their guest. They greet you when you come in and check in with you. I have tried their green curry and eggplant stir fry with beef. I would recommend both.
Definitely one of my favourites in Champaign!
Insanely quick service and really great portion sizes for price. Food also tastes really good and doesn't cause me acne (most asian places do).
Great food and filling portions! The owners are always there and very generous! Thai Fusion stands out in a town full of great cuisine. Is, and forever will be, a go to for guaranteed good food!
Got me through my finals for 4 semesters now, my personal favorite is yellow curry with an extra side of rice (spice level 4 :)
Great food and friendly owners. I love the Pad Thai and teriyaki
The food was delicious and the people behind the counter were very friendly. The lack of trash cans and available napkins was kind of annoying though
The food tasted incredibly fresh (I had the cashew stir fry and it was really tasty, not oily at all and the veggies were so delicious)!
The most authentic Thai food in the area!! Everything is so good, my go-to almost everyday after class. Perfect portions and I’m satisfied every time. Love the owners too, they always offer great customer service.
Delicious stir fries & curry, with hefty portions. Best Thai in town. Great service, atmosphere is basically a counter, so functional but not fancy. I've been back several times.

Good food and friendly owners
Hunter is the best. I am having a child for the single reason of being able to experience Thai Fusion 🤝
Great food, great people, great portion, go here.
I absolutely love this place! When they say spice level 5, they mean spice level 5. Absolutely great service, portion size and love the food!!!
The spicy green curry fried rice is to die for! The proper Southeast Asian spiciness makes it perfect!!
Best tasting Thai food in Champaign Urbana… and we’ve tried just about every Thai place.
Food is great, and staff is extremely friendly. Definitely a go-to restaurant for me on campus.
Great food and great people.
Hunter is the best cashier to live. The chicken fried rice spice level 3 is the perfect meal to ever live. EVERY single time I am in Champaign I go to Thai Fusion. It is a small business with an owner that is willing to make sure you like your meal. They deserve the world!
The food is very good, and the service is top-notch. The people are very kind. I go here occasionally, and my complaint is always that the portion sizes feel smaller than those at Bangkok Thai, but the price is about the same - I wonder what the difference in price-portion ratio actually is

Not authentic Thai. It’s Chinese chili’s, Chinese prep with Thai music playing.
Great service, large servings, tastes great!
Very good Thai food, awesome service
Hands down the best Thai food in Champaign. I think I’ve been to every single Thai restaurant in this metro and been SO disappointed by EVERYONES PAD THAI!
Yeah, pad thai is supposed to be sweet. A LITTLE! And also savory, and sour, and salty, and spicy. It seems like Thai Fusion is the only place in this city that understands this.
Also, their spicy is actually spicy! A level of 5 has a decent kick even for an ex chili head like me.
This is the only Thai place I could feel good about recommending. Everywhere else is a strong steer clear.
Their yellow curry was forgettable and tasted more like an MSG laden (offputtingly umami) Chinese soup.
Its a little pricy, some basil fried rice and a drink ran me $18. BUT, it was well worth it. Lot of food for the price, and it was VERY good.
Amazing Stir Fry and Curry dishes. Great Service
AMAZING FOOD SPICE LEVEL WAS PERFECT :))) I enjoyed it.
Really great thai food. I love red curry and this place is in my top 2. I recommend their entree box with 2 entrees as you get a lot of food for a reasonable price.
My other favourite is the thai basil pork!
Staff are also very friendly and nice. They're a family run business so if you want to go support local businesses, give them a shot!
Hands down the best Thai food I have had. The staff was very friendly and helpful, everything was clean and the food was great!! I’m from out of town but I won’t miss a chance to go back when I’m going through Champaign.
Food simply doesn't have enough flavor. Frozen meal I had in the morning tasted better. Go to Bangkok Thai instead.
I think this is the best Thai food I've had in CU. Incredibly kind service, delicious food, wonderful value for the price. Will be coming back regularly
Amazingly fresh authentic thai. Best in Champaign.
I loved the food the curry has a lot of flavor and everything was very fresh one of my favorite places
Delicious tacos and friendly, quick service. Go check them out!!
Great portions
Absolutely delicious. Just tried for the first time today with my friend and we loved it. Will be coming back later
Great food, large portions, healthy and inexpensive. Love the tofu option and the service.
The food was really good, and the portions were generous for the price
Stay away from this place. They have the worst tacos my girlfriend and I have ever had. I dont think the people here know how to make tacos. They also charged us more money when we looked at the receipt later.. stick to Maize or Fiesta Cafe anywhere but this place!
This place is delicious! I’ve never had birria tacos before but I enjoyed it very much. Their tacos and burritos are also delicious. Honestly, I think it’s the best in town. Maize got some competition!
Fantastic chicken tacos and steak quesadillas!
The two people running the place were super nice. Food came out quick and was still warm when I got back home. Had the quesadilla with pork and it was honestly super good. Would go back
The worker was so nice! The tofu burrito with red sauce had such good flavor and was very filling. The establishment itself was clean and had a good atmosphere. This place should be so much more popular! Thank you for having vegetarian options! I highly recommend.
Great food! and generous portions of meat. Hope this place sticks around for a while, it's nice to have somewhere so close to campus for Mexican food
Fantastic, simple food at an affordable price. An honest small business.
