Traditional Thai classics are prepared with varying spice levels at this comfy storefront standby.
I’ve been here twice now. Both times were great experiences. The service is top notch, always checking in on you promptly and getting your food out to you in record fast time. The food is amazing! The flavor is very authentic and when you you order something spicy it’s got a great kick to it. I would highly recommend the pad Thai and the spring rolls and chicken rangoon. They were very yummy and very filling. Staff is very friendly and the vibe of the restaurant as a whole to very nice too. Great place to eat to amazing Thai at very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend, 10/10
The food is really good and it’s nice to be in such a central location. Atmosphere is a little on the weird side this the rating, but it’s not horrible. Imagine being at your best friend’s house and you are awkwardly sitting at the table while their parents make dinner. Kinda like that. I will also say they are one of the few places you can get summer rolls and they are sooo good.
This is a pretty good eat. I left feeling very full and I loved the authentic taste and texture of the food. I saw another comment mention this, but I also wish the atmosphere was a little brighter; this does not change my opinion on the food and service, however. We also went in with our 8 month old child and neither of the restrooms had a changing table, so beware. But other than those things, I would highly recommend eating here if you are looking for a good eat.
I’ve been there once during my college days and wasn’t impressed but my friends were hyping it so I thought maybe it got better but it was just how I remembered. The portions are huge but in terms of flavor and service I was not impressed. The most wet pad Thai I’ve had you’d think it’s a soup 🥴🥴🥴
the place is super dark which I think is intentional but I shouldn’t need my flash light to see. My baby was playing was playing with the fake lantern on the table and she dropped it the waitress took it almost like she were mad cause it was dropped & we were left with no light on our table…
also if you order something and you change your mind they force it on you. After eating the food we changed our mind on the dessert and my friend went and told the waitress and she told her it was already made which in my head I’m like ok and? So we ended up taking it but honestly that was probably the best thing we ate there.
I can’t speak for authenticity because I haven’t had a lot of Thai food in my life, but I can say with confidence that I would eat their chicken wontons every day of my life if I could. We got our food so quickly and everything was delicious. We will definitely be coming back. The price was fair (inexpensive, actually) and the food and service was great. Rexburg has gotten a treasure with this place!
I usually don’t write reviews at restaurants but holy cow. This place deserves it. The service was amazingly fast, the food was delicious and great portions, and the price was very affordable. I will definitely be frequenting this place

Best pho I’ve ever had!!!
Good food
Best Thai food Ive had and extremely reasonable portions and prices. Wish there was music playing and maybe some felt pads for the chair feet since they are really loud. I just feel like I have to whisper because you can hear every noise. The best are the panang and green curry, drunken noodles, summer rolls and sticky rice with mango. (Sometimes the mangos are not very good, I wish they would toss them if they arent up to par) The service is decent, the food is always super fresh and fast! I have noticed food is better when you don’t indicate spice level. It has the perfect flavor. Also their fried tofu is delectable.
Simply the best service you can get.
I love this place. The food is fantastic!!
They didn’t have any chicken tendies
The food was so yummy! We had the Panang Curry, Yellow Curry and the Khoa Soi and loved it all! Everyone was also very kind and it was quick service.
The best yellow curry I’ve ever had! I can’t wait until the day I visit Rexburg this will be my first stop!
I usually don’t write reviews at restaurants but holy cow. This place deserves it. The service was amazingly fast, the food was delicious and great portions, and the price was very affordable. I will definitely be frequenting this place
I rarely have Thai cuisine. This kitchen did it very well

I enjoy the food very much
Amazing restaurant! It tastes great and they seem happy to be there!
One of my favorite restaurants in Rexburg. I have been here many times and the food is always good and the service is on top of it. My go to is the phanaeng curry, the pad Thai is also always good. 10/10 recommend.
This is definitely a hole in the wall place to eat!! Everything was excellent!! You walk in and bam you are in a different country!! The food was delicious and so quick!! I will definitely be back for some more Pad Thai!!
Great food! Great people!
Good food, and GREAT people!
Thanks for bringing the taste of Thailand to Rexburg 👌
In town for a few days and was craving soup. Hit the spot!!! Amazing!! Thank you
To be honest the food wasn't the greatest at all but it wasn't horrible besides just being watered down and tasted kinda of gross. it was the customer service I received, and I saw another individual receive. Customer service is huge in the food industry and if you have a poor attitude or service for me I won't be back.

Amazing food, only have had Thai food a handful of times but it was still the best I've had so far. Service was fast and frequent. Refilled my water every couple minutes, food delivered withing 10 minutes and very fresh. Mango curry was sweet and the mangos weren't over ripe. Seafood Paradise had 5 different types and were lightly fried which added a perfect crunch to the soft seafood. The duck was DELICIOUS. Soft and very well marinated. The restaurant was nice and felt very homey, like a nice dinner at Grandma's house. 10/10 would recommend
Wow, what a nice surprise. We had two curries for lunch with spring rolls and it was absolutely relishes!
The food here is jaw-dropping delicious, I like a no frills place with a very simple and pleasant atmosphere. Very down-to-earth. The sauces and broths taste authentic, and are so good. You cant go wrong with their curry, pho, or pad thai. Stir frys are pretty good too. This place has it where it counts, and knows their food. I hope that the locals will continue to appreciate this hidden gem, it is fantastic!
I LOVE their Massaman Curry with chicken. I craved this every day while pregnant. I also love the summer rolls. They have great options for lunch if you want a smaller portion.
Great food, just a bit dark lighting-wise.
Good food quality, homemade authentic food with great taste. Very customizable flavors, good portion sizes. The food was served in a timely manner. The atmosphere was calming, but the lighting was very dim in the restaurant. The pricing has gone up recently, but it's not unreasonable for the quality. Yummy food for a good price! Highly recommend trying!
Great food! Had my birthday meal here, and the owner is so kind to give me free dessert. Honestly, I loved the flavor but my pad see ew was a little too salty.
*** update ***
Came back another time for lunch and the pad see ew was PERFECT!!💯 sometimes they can do it really good, sometimes it can be a little too salty. Still good!
Definitely have to mention that mango sticky rice is always great though!!
For the price of a fast food burger combo you can get a fantastic lunch. Service is always super fast. Food is great. Good food, nice people, great price how can you go wrong.
By far the best Thai food I've ever had! Very quick service, friendly atmosphere.
Their drunken noodle tastes like chicken noodle soup. Nothing spicy or flavorful about this dish.
We love Original Thai. One of our favorite places to go in Rexburg. Excellent menu. Very delicious. Wonderful and prompt service. Very short wait times. Highly recommend.
This is a pretty good eat. I left feeling very full and I loved the authentic taste and texture of the food. It was a good place. Portions were pretty good, though I was hoping for just a little more. It wasn't great. The service was mediocre, they did their job and thanked us but there wasn't anything real extra that they did. The food tasted good, quite delicious.
Food was inedible. Staff also treated my husband poorly when he asked for no nuts since he's allergic...
The food is worth it. I ordered the mango curry and it was very flavorful and delicious. I can't remember what my wife ordered, but she said it was a bit too sweet. I'm sure it was good, but it was not to her taste.
Plenty of gluten free options!
We spent 29usd with two dinners and a soda. Certainly recommend it!
Always awesome, my favorite place to eat.
The food and service are great! The young lady that helped us was super nice. Such a cute little family owned restaurant. I got the seafood curry and beef noodle soup and both were fantastic! Also the mango sticky rice is so delicious! Will come again!
Tom Kha was too sweet and too sour at the same time
I been coming here for many years and I always gotten fresh dishes and very delicious food I love the Thai tea and I never been disappointed I hope they never close
Great food. Courteous waitress.
We went 2 nights in a row while in town for an event. Food is phenomenal. Service was great. All around great place to eat. Will definitely go back.
We ordered family style. 6 items for our table of 3 to share, different items each night. We were not disappointed with anything we ordered.
Their food is the best!
Pretty good. Nice little quiet spot. Good prices. Good variety.
I got the orange chicken and I do recommend it! I love the dark atmosphere and the prompt polite service! Great place to eat.
We are visiting rexburg and decided to try this place.
It was very good!
We ordered a bunch of different dishes and they were all yummy.
The crab Rangoon was so good!
My masaman curry was good
My husband liked his mango curry
The pad thai was tasty and the kids liked the orange chicken
Had a great experience here! We were seated quickly, checked on regularly, water was always refilled, and the food was absolutely delicious! They also had tofu substitution for a vegetarian option which I found extremely helpful!
You guys. I had the Mango Curry with Chicken ($13) and it was incredible! Sweet curry, well-cooked chicken, tasty mango chunks. Definitely recommend! The serving size was enough to feel stuffed.
I was seated as soon as I stepped through the door, and the food came relatively quickly (5, 7 mins?). The lighting is low, perhaps to give a more romantic air.
The food was super delicious and the people are super kinda and friendly! Definitely would recommend taking a date out here!
🔥🔥🎉🎉👍👍🫶
I just went there. The Pad Thai and cashew chicken was wonderful! This is a favorite spot for lunch.
I really like this place good food at a good place and super quick when I was there!
Good food.
The food is great! The staff is very friendly. It is a little dark at the one end of the seating area, but if you sit more to the front of the restaurant it's not bad. There are large windows up front. We love to eat here.
Great food and nice staff
I can’t speak for authenticity because I haven’t had a lot of Thai food in my life, but I can say with confidence that I would eat their chicken wontons every day of my life if I could. Cheap, great food and great service!
This is my favorite restaurant! I have liked every dish I've tried so far. The SSS chicken is my favorite. The people are friendly and the service is good. The dining room is a little too dark for my preference.
I love Original Thai! If your wondering what to get, try the Massaman curry. It is chicken and vegetables in a creamy peanut sauce.
Their service is the most efficient I have had at any restaurant and the food always comes out quick and tastes delicious. What more could you ask for? 😊
I recently had the pleasure of trying the Mussaman Curry from Original Thai as a carry-out order, and it was a delightful experience. The dish was both super delicious and incredibly tasty, offering a wonderful blend of flavors. As someone who prefers milder options, I appreciated that the curry was on the mild end, making it perfect for those who can't handle spicy food.
The overall taste of the food was exactly what I expected from authentic Thai cuisine. Each bite was an elegant journey of flavors that showcased the expertise and care put into the preparation. The restaurant truly captured the essence of Thai cuisine, delivering an experience that satisfied my cravings and left me wanting more.
In addition to the delicious food, the carry-out service provided by Original Thai was convenient and efficient. The order was well-packaged, ensuring that the flavors remained intact during transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
I highly recommend Original Thai to anyone seeking an authentic Thai dining experience. Whether you're a fan of mild or spicy food, their Mussaman Curry is a must-try. With their dedication to taste and attention to detail, this restaurant is sure to leave you with a satisfying and memorable meal.
We took a small group of people and called in our order ahead of time. They were completely ready for us and the food was AMAZING! Every person in our group was happy with their food. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the sauces were so good we wanted to take some home. The service was cheerful and helpful. Going back again and again!
This is one of our favorite places to eat! The lighting is a little low, but it makes for a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The staff is kind and efficient, and we love the food. My personal favorite is the Pad Thai.
YOU HAVE TO COME HERE IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY! We came in 30 minutes before closing and they had our food ready within 5 minutes of ordering. It was delicious! The lemon grass soup is a must. 😍😋
The food is really good. I really like the drunken noodles. There’s just a few things I don’t love about this place. It is always very dark. Only 1/5th of the lights are on and makes it very difficult to see. Call me old fashion, but I like to see what I’m eating and ordering. I also got in trouble once there for sitting myself even though it was basically empty. She even made us stand up and took us to a completely different table just to prove a point. Customer service and lack of good lighting is the reason for the 3 stars. If you can get past that, the food is very delicious.
First time visiting here. Not sure if i came on a bad day or something, but i got the red curry and it tasted funky. Ate half of it and tossed the rest, and was throwing up for the next 10 hours. The people were kind, but i wont be coming back.
the veggies in my curry were undercooked. The rice was extremely dry and all the food was barely warm. I’ve loved this place in the past but this is the last time i’ll ever eat there
Good food, good price. Casual. My daughter and I like dining in. The lighting is a little dark. The food is delicious, I've had a few different things on the menu and liked all of it. They have a good curry too!
The food here is a solid 8/10, especially the green curry. The service used to be amazing, but the new waitresses are terrible. They don't talk to you, they don't smile, nothing. They also never refill our water.
This place needs more attention. I like it every time I go. I wish it was more busy. I think they are a good value and good food.
I absolutely love their green curry! It's the perfect combo of sweet and creamy and spicy. It's all I ever get 😁
I've been here a couple of times, always for lunch. They're lunch special is a great deal for $7.95. It's always so quiet and peaceful and the owners are really sweet.
My only complaint is that it's kind of dark inside but if you sit closer to the window it's not so bad.
Highly recommend 😉
Excellent service! The food came out quickly and was quite enjoyable. Nice little hole in the wall restaurant, nice and quiet and good portion sizes, though if you're like me, just one dish of yellow curry won't fill you up. Get an appetizer too.
I used to eat here all the time back in school, so its nice that its still here. The food is still pretty good, especially the little wontons, and the portions are still generous. And it's still got the same hole in the wall feel as it did 10 years ago. XD
The best Thai food in town, Very delicious and clean, very professional, Great service and great price 👍👍. Love this place
One of our favorite restaurants. The garlic duck is particularly good!
The pad Thai was alright but the To-go box they have me was broken and the juices spilled out and scalded my hand and stained my car seats...
Fast service. Spring rolls were good. Pad Thai was really not good.
Whatever you do, do not get the chow mien!! It is literally ramen noodles seasoned weirdly with some random veggies. You can make it at home for dirt cheap and it would taste better. It was honestly so gross, we couldn’t eat it and it ruined our appetite. We felt bad wasting it, so we took it home in a box, but threw it away when we got home because we knew we would never eat it again!
I will say that I also ordered some mango curry there, and it was incredible. I really liked it. Just don’t get the chow mien!!!!!!!!
Delicious food! Romantic atmosphere! Great staff! All-around great place to eat! It's been a favorite date spot for my husband and I since before we were married!
Mala comida, cabellos en el arroz y mal servicio.
The worse food that I have tried in my live. But don’t judge the Thai food for this place. The Thai food is so much better than this .&$!
The food was great but they gave out smaller portion for the same price.
Service was polite and nice.
Ordered Calamari, Spring Rolls and Thai Dumplings. Had to leave everything and leave, food was not fresh.
Really not that great
I love Original Thai! I get the pad thai and add extra meat and it is only like $1 for the extra meat. When you order something, you can watch them cook it on their wok and they are super fast and it is super cool. I love this place!
Can’t get enough of this place. They fill carry out orders very quickly
The food is undeniably delicious! But the family who runs it are kinda gruff at times and make you feel like you can’t stay and eat.
It was super delicious. Normally I wouldn't eat as much but because I was eating a lot due to my depression I spent a lot more money than I normally ever would. I still felt that every bit of food was delicious and worth the price. That, and I brought a ton of food home to last several meals. Overall I would say this place is super delicious, a place worth going to and the staff is really friendly.
Waitresses are strait to the point. The food is cooked and brought out in under 8 minutes. The food is delicious. Would recommend!
This may be the worst Thai place I've had. Sugar is added to everything and overdone. Terrible. We ordered 7 different dishes. All way too sweet. All 3 curry types are watered down and tons of sugar. Would avoid at all cost. Not even sure how this is rated 4. Unreal. If I could give this negative 5 stars i would. We threw away all the food and had to get dinner somewhere else.
I grew up with a delicious Thai restaurant in my home town and have always loved Thai food since. Original Thai is just like that restaurant from back home and I ALWAYS love the food. I try different things but always go back to my favorites. The drunken noodles are amazing with a big portion, yellow curry never disappoints, cashew stir fry is a crowd pleaser and pad see eww is my all time favorite (get a side of peanut sauce and add it in). I know that I can go in for lunch or dinner and have my food on the table in under 10 minutes or pickup an order to go in the same time. Always good food and would strongly recommend! 10/10
some of the best thai food i’ve had, i love the pad thai and drunken noodles. they also make it very easy to make their dishes vegetarian friendly!
I love eating ready to order, "feel good" food. The plate presentation was as beautiful as the food tasted.
Food was pretty good. The only complaint I have is that there isn’t much of a spice factor to their spicy levels. Wish there was more spice
Every time I visit eastern Idaho I make time to swing by to get their BKK Chicken! If you're looking for great food at an honest price, this is the place to go. I'd recommend the BKK Chicken with a side of Sticky rice.
Was not impressed, could tell the meat and vegetables were frozen before cooked, meat was still a little cold, I asked for my dish spicy, it had no spice at all, I feel like this place could be great if they stepped up there game a little
For the area it’s super yummy. The service is never warm and fuzzy but they get your food out to you quickly and the quality is always consistent. One of our favorites in Rexburg.
I love this place! I always get the massaman curry and chicken satay.
Excellent Thai food! The service is also great.
The food was good, and I've seen a markable improvement in overall service. I would say that I've had my reservations about going here but like I've said, I have seen an improvement. It is a smaller, more intimate setting and the cooks know their stuff. I like going every once in a while for a more casual sitdown atmosphere.
Very delicious authentic Thai food. A great place to eat.
Expensive, the food is some of the best in town however. I usually ask for a box because they stack that plate like nobody's business
First time here and the food was great! The duck was so moist and had the perfect amount of spice. My only complaint was it was really dark and I had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu.
Every time we've come here the food is excellent. Like perfect. Every time. I would definitely recommend the mango sticky rice when it's available.
Good food but not the best that I've tried
Have come here a lot and we always really like the food! Quick service too.
Soooo good!
The food here was SO good! Thai food is my favorite type of food, and Original Thai did not disappoint! One of our favorite dishes was the orange chicken... some of the best I've had! Definitely recommend coming here.
Love it here
good
I LOVE Original Thai! We first started coming here for their pad thai, but would get their curry as well. One day, we tried the drunken noodles and never looked back! Since then, we’ve tried drunken noodles at 4 or more other restaurants, but none of them even come close to Original Thai’s. The food is always super fresh and incredibly fast. They have great portion sizes and are friendly. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to try in Rexburg.
Food was average and the lunch price was good. They brought my food out so fast, it made me feel like they already had everything premade and maybe that's why it tasted average.
Hands down, Original Thai is the best Thai food in Rexburg!
I love the food here. I always get the Red Curry with chicken.
Go anywhere else. Best I can say is "It's edible." Three times I've been, three times I asked for spicy (It's thai, come on) and three times i failed to detect the slightest hint of spice, let alone any other spices or herbs. The seafood is past-date, the chicken was bland, but the hot-pot broth was good. The vegies and chicken in it were flavorless, though. Go somewhere else if you are craving thai.
Food is hit or miss. Some plates are fresh and delicious while others are made with obviously canned or frozen ingredients - sometimes the same dish from one visit to the next. The gentleman that typically seats you is also not very friendly or attentive.
Good food good service just dark with dark menu
This has been our family’s favorite Rexburg restaurant for years and perhaps my favorite Thai place that I’ve ever tried. Not only is the food incredible (my family loves the Massaman Curry and Pad Thai , I love the Panang Curry), the desserts are likewise bomb (LOVE the mango sticky rice) and this is one of the fastest places to get your food for both to-go and sit down. The owners are also super great people once you get to know them. A must-try!
I ordered the Red Curry, and sampled the Green, as well as other types of curry from people in my group. I’ve been to Thailand once, while I guess is better than nonce 😂 and I’d say that it was very well made, and as close to genuine Thai food as I would expect out of Thailand itself, let alone in Rexburg, Idaho 👍🏻
Good food, nice atmosphere.
It's pretty disappointing to pay $55 for a family dinner for three and find out that the vegetables they used in their dishes were just frozen peas and carrots. I'd rather drive out to Driggs and pay a bit more but actually have fresh ingredients in my dinner.
I am not a Thai food expert, but this is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. We drive from Rigby monthly and have taken lots of family there. I would highly recommend! The food is great and portions are filling.
I thought this place was good, but that was before I had Krung Thep in Idaho falls. The curry tastes a bit watered down here and pad see ew is only mediocre
Reasonable prices. Good service. Plentiful serving size. Have had better elsewhere.
Love the speed of service and food. Great Thai place.
They are very quick at making food that is super delicious!
Food: the Worst Thai food I've ever had and I've had a lot, around the world.
- The Phad Thai tasted like Franco American. It was missing the cabbage and bean sprouts clearly called out in menu as ingredients. When we asked for bean sprouts they said they were out but they never offered that info when we ordered. There was a strong fish aftertaste.
The ginger stir fry was very small portion (looked like a half order).
Both meals had NO spice. They never even asked during ordering.
Food was blah!
Restaurant:
- Very dark with very little lighting. Could not read menu without flashlight. Felt very sketchy.
- Plastic cups, almost no ice in room temp water.
- Appearance was slummy
First and LAST visit. Hope we don't get sick!
Good lunch price but unflavorful food.
Delicious food!!
My family and I have been ordering from curry from here for months(to go). We had a family from out of state so we went in to eat. After bragging it up I was very disappointed. The stir fry chow mein was nothing more than vegetables in Ramen noodles. Not to mention being seated at an extremely sticky table.
Good curry
Food is really good and prices are fair but the waitress does not have any customer service skills, is rude and inattentive. Does not even respond when we thank her for bringing food. Overall the experience was ruined because of the poor service received by her. Definitely recommend taking your food to go and recommend the restaurant to get a new waitress
Excellent food
Amazing food!!
Love everything I ever ate here!
Pad See Ew - Too salty ..
Roasted Chicken is a good enough
Panang Curry taste fine but looks kinda sad
Pad Thai is ok
What I hate the most is she got us seated in location that is very dark that we need to use our own flashlight to see the menu..
The server is ok..
One of Rexburg's hidden gems.
First time in. Got Tom La soup; it was delicious. Loved the menu options and look forward to working my way through their menu options!
First Time to original Thai, picked up some takeout food. Very friendly, food was excellent.
A hidden gem here in Rexburg. Fast and one of the tastiest places in the area.
