10/10 experience! My wife and I came here for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The sushi was fresh and presented in a fun satisfying manner. Everything tasted awesome and we got a complementary dessert in celebration of our anniversary. The staff was fast and friendly as well! A great addition to Kuna’s collection of restaurants.

Well first I have to say . I am so happy we have such of great restaurants here in Kuna Idaho . I am not very familiar with sushi but after I saw the plates of sushi been delivered to customers I will definitely have to try it next time. Well to what I and my husband had to eat my husband had the yakisoba and I had the combo fried rice both were totally yummy and very delicious . And guess who is in the kitchen at this great place you would not believe it . It our kuna one and only Chef Wally . Well done again Chef Wally . Ok you have to come and have some great sushi and pho fried Rice and much more

My wife and I stopped in for dinner this evening and sat at the Sushi bar. We ordered Sushi Rolls (Boise Roll and EMT Roll), Tri-tip Pho, and Vietnamese Spring Rolls. We enjoyed every bite and even discussed the different flavors and spices that we could identify.

The Sushi presentation was stunning, and the taste was amazing! We even chatted it up with the skilled Sushi chefs, quizzing them about their different rolls and the ingredients used to prepare them.

My goal now is to become a regular so I can have a sushi roll named after me. 😊

This is arguably the best sushi place in the valley. My wife and I have been trying to eat at every sushi place in the valley, and this is worth the drive, no matter the distance. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. Wait, time for food was hardly a wait. Place was fairly busy at the time of our visit, and you couldn't hardly tell they were busy. Service didn't slack for a second. The rolls were hands down the best part. Not only were they visually delicious, but with the freshness of the ingredients... chefs kiss... 100% recommend this place for a quality date night... or anyone looking for a good time... 11/10!

Caleb the bartender is so personable and sweet, Phu the owner was walking around and we spoke with him for almost an hour. Ordered yellow curry to go. Got home, and opened the bag, that is not what I got. I got vegetables and rice, no sauce. I paid 15 bucks for this! I called the restaurant and they offered to remake the food. I drove back, showed them the food I received and was made the dish I actually ordered. Honestly, I was so tired from a long day and hardly eating, that this exasperated the ordeal. The people here are kind and prior to this, we haven't had issues. I recommend looking at your food before leaving the restaurant as humans can make mistakes.

I was contacted by the GM and offered a refund with an apology.

We were trying to do a Sushi night. Pleasently surprised on how amazing the Sushi was. 4 stars was because of no dishes picked up, but staff was very kind and very attentive. We've gone plenty of times for their Asian cuisine, we were looking for a new sushi place, based on other reviews we came here. We are very picky about sushi, for obvious reasons, this came 10/10 of definitely coming back for sushi. We loved it so much we failed to get pics, Sushi was devoured after first bites(6 people). We had the Kyoto roll, spicy tuna (nice kick and I'm hispanic), Lisa roll(my fav), Spicy johnny (not spicy), Caterpillar (fresh; cool on the palate), Spider roll- large and yummy, and Marilyn Monroll, different but delicious. Highly recommend, their prices are impressive for the very yummy sushi and as much as we purchased (almost double of everything).

Can't even order online at kuna location can't even answer there phones not wasting my time. Not doing take out orders wouldnt fly with my business find new management u lose a lot of business.

I just feel like I've never had a solid customer experience here. The only reason I go here whenever I do is because it's the only place for decent sushi in Kuna. I feel like every step of the process to get food from here makes me feel like I'm being a hassle for wanting to be a patron

To start, the food here is very good. It is the only reason I have come here 4 times.
This, the 4th time, has proven a trend of the service not being good.
My group of 6 (2 kids) show up and there is maybe 4 other tables sat. So basically empty. The hostess says we should have made a reservation for a group of our size. If not for the food I would of left right there. Don't make your establishment feel so exclusive we cant be sat, especially when empty. I would understand if it was busy with prior reservations.
Continuing with the place being not busy, as nice as our waitress was, felt slow, we got drinks and had enough time to pick out our apps and main course before we ever saw her again. For a restraunt that seems to want to be more upscale having a smoothness to the ordering of drinks, apps, main dish should be seemless for every table especially when not busy. I had this happen in the past when busier but not this bad.
Finally, and this has happened evertime I have come here something gets missed. Miso, which comes with rolls and other dishs i had to ask for. My friends dish had to ask for her kimchi cucumbers. Had to ask for soy sauce dish for the sushi. Train your employees to send out the food properly.
This is painful to write because the food is good. I don't know how many more times I can overlook the flaws for for the food.

Riceworks never disappoints! They have hit it out of the park every time we've ordered! The staff is jovial and professional whether we've dined in or done takeout! The food has never missed the mark. This is the only restaurant in Kuna that is on rotation!!! Great job all!

Long waits and incorrect order, again. Placed an order for pickup, was told it would be ready in 30-40 minutes. Arrived there in about 30 minutes and the order was not ready for another hour (not exaggerating). And to top it off the order didn't have any sauces (sweet and sour, etc.). Unfortunately, not the first time this has happened.

It’s a great experience every time we go. Sushi is always fantastic and the food from the kitchen is amazing. We generally sit at the bar and Caleb’s cocktails / service are always a highlight of our visit.

Oh my gosh Kuna Riceworks Team!!!! You guys are rocking it with your new additions to the menu and staff! Everything was great before but this is really taking it a step above and beyond. I am so impressed. I had the ribeye with the sautéed mushrooms in garlic. I was blown away with the amazing flavor. My favorite dip was the peppercorn sauce. I can not wait to come back in and try the filet.

Overpriced, marginal food. Added 22% gratuity for our group of 6 which was my wife and 4 kids. Never again and lots of good choices for this type of food. Red Pavilion in meridian is one of them.

This place is phenomenal. We had the wontons with the ninja sauce and the fries as an appetizer. I can’t say enough good things about either. We ordered them spicy and they were hot. I loved it. We also had the Mongolian Teriyaki with yakisoba noodles Absolute perfect blend of sweet and heat. Service was absolutely out of this world. I swear my drink never went empty. 10 out of 10 I would recommend this to everybody

We were there 15 minutes before the waitress, who had to be called, came to our table. There was a family in the back room and about 6 other customers is all.
She was very nice.
I also did not appreciate the bartender talking to the waitress about how he got the hair out of his shower drain.
Finally, the music is far too loud for such a little room.
We have been there three times- won’t be a 4th- learned our lesson. I will door dash next time because the food is good.

This was my first time here, and I'll will 100% be back. The service here was a breath of fresh air. The food was amazing.. a lot of restaurants could learn from this place. We live Rice Works. My boyfriend is a huge lover of the combo fried rice and I go back and forth between the generals and ninja chicken. Both are so good. You also have to try the ninja potstickers. The ninja sauce is spicy, so if you’re prepared for that. So good!!

Service was poor, most servers were friendly. One was terrible. Wife got her meal. I got mine 40 minutes later. Never seen that before...at any restaurant. No apologies. Sushi was good. May try again and adjust the review accordingly.

My go to for spicy bulgogi beef and lomein noodles, the non spicy teriyaki chicken is great as well.

I placed an online order for pickup at 7:30 with a ready to pickup time of 8:10 to my surprise I received a text at 8:01 saying it was ready it wasn't. At the same time I got to the restaurant around 7:50 another person walked in and placed a large order they walked out with their order approximately 20 mins before I finally received mine at 8:30 the entire time I waited in the restaurant I felt like they were intentionally ignoring me. The food was good but not worth the wait or price. Probably won't be returning if that's the service I can expect.

This restaurant has, in my opinion, the best Asian food in the area. We ordered Crab Rangoon dip, General's chicken, Sushi and Pad Thai. All were delicious, fresh and spicy just as we like it. We live a long way from here but will make the trip on a regular basis.

This little restaurant serves some real good food and sushi. Quickly earned a spot for us as to go back each time we visit the area..

We waited 25 minutes after being seated before leaving the Kuna location. During those 25 minutes we did not have a single server stop at our table.

Sushi at the bar, so we got to enjoy the company of the sushi chefs. They were great. The service was wonderful. And the sushi, oh man it was awesome! Totally recommend this place!

Good sushi

Service was great, The food and beer are really good. They offer various Asian cuisines, (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai), however, they don't go very deep on variety within a given cuisine, with the exception of Sushi/Shashimi. In general, if you like Asian food, you'll most likely find something that fits your tastebuds here. I'd say I'd go back, but I already have.

I'd give a 3.7 star if google would allow it. The food is fine, not phenomenon but definitely not bad, a solid option if you have a fixin for asian food in Kuna. My 2 biggest gripes with this place is the 2 times I have come in, it takes 4-7 minutes to be greeted so I'm just standing there awkwardly waiting for something to happen. And my other gripe is that when I ordered a sushi order Togo, I got myself a deep fried roll and my wife a cold roll and they put both of them in the same container. This could have been problematic for multiple reasons including cross contamination of shellfish allergies on one roll hitting another. Could little things that could be done different but I don't want to be too harsh with it. All in all, I will still be back but I'll just give more notes in my order to request separate containers and whatnot

This place goes way out of their way to make the food look cool and taste great. It's probably my favorite restaurant in Kuna now.

Food and drinks orders were taken quickly. But no drinks were ever brought out. We had to re order the drinks and miso (overly salty) and it was brought out after we ate half our meal. Staff was not helpful, even when no one was in the restaurant. The Sushi and rolls were good but the service was horrible.

I tried the food truck first! Very good & super friendly staff

Our waitress Kathleen was friendly but not very well trained. She mixed up our orders to start off with, the kitchen staff definitely did not help! We had toask for soy sauce dishes, and also had to ask for a spoon to serve the fried rice we shared, the fried rice was grease, the misu soup had way to much soy.
And then we receved the bill, we had separate checks for 2 couples and I had several items on my ticket.
Overall not a good experience.

I’m giving this place one star for the service Being terrible ALSO I smelt marijuana coming out of the back door walking home and every server/waiter was WASTED!!! The adult sushi chef was VERY inappropriate with underage hostesses IT MADE ME SICK!!!! I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TILL YALL CLEAN UP YOUR ACT!!

My husband and I had Riceworks cater our wedding back in 2022 and they did phenomenal! We love visiting their Kuna location as they have great service and food. Their Crab Rangoon dip is amazing and I love their Keylime martini. Honestly never had a bad meal or experience there! Thank you Riceworks!

I have been to this place 3 times. The first time, we sat at the table for 20 minutes with no service. The second time, I ordered ahead, showed up 40 minutes later and still had to wait 20 minutes for my food. This is the last time I will order from here. I ordered my food at 6pm, went to pick it up at 6:35…leaving the restaurant with my food at almost 7pm. This is ridiculous. Hire more people or fire the ones that are not performing. This place has CONSISTENT poor service. Don’t order from here

The service was horrible. It took us 15 minutes to get out drinks. We had to ask 2 times to place our order, about 45 minutes. Another 30 minutes to receive our food. My chicken was rotten. The kids received their food 10 minutes after we received our food. The kids food was not what was ordered. The restaurant was not crowded, so there was no excuse for the lack of service.

The food is great! Glad to have more options in Kuna, shout out to Riley who took my (way too complicated) take out order like a rockstar and was super patient and kind!

Great lunch spot.

I was skeptical at first, but the owner was Northwest Motor Machine, who suggested it, said it was amazing. It truly was. I ordered sushi takeout, and it did not disappoint.

Service has always been hit or miss at this location but the food is always good so we keep going back. But after tonight, we will not be returning. We were seated immediately, however we waited for 15 minutes and not a single server came to our table. It wasn’t busy and most of the employees were just standing around talking to each other. They looked over at us several times and never came over to take our food or drink order. We ended up leaving. Take it from us, and just drive to Meridian for dinner.

All I can say is my family and I love this place. The environment, the staff, the food, the service. Kaleb is absolutely awesome, we always look forward to seeing him. Kuna def needed this restaurant. I have never had a bad experience here. Also, their bulgogi dragon fries are an absolute MUST. The one thing I wish they had was more of a variety of dessert. Other than that, this place is awesome and so are the people.

First time dining here, what a nice surprise this place was. I never expected such good Thai food here in Kuna. I had the Street noodles and I really liked this dish. The service was great 👍 too. I plan to eat here again soon.

They were having air conditioning problems but the staff and FOOD made up for most delicious sushi ihave ever had. Would highly recommend.

Caleb was my guy! Im in the industry and had to bust out my notepad and take notes on how well he conducted himself. I will be making the drive from Boise just to come experience and copy his customer service skill set. I was skeptic about this type of food and Caleb lead me in the perfect direction. Caleb's made such a comfortable experience for me, kid is not a rockstar, he is the opposite, Caleb can throw a rock at a star for the heck of it!

The delivery option wasn't given for a mile down the street. We picked it up anyways and left a tip. The pho was literally made out of paste au jus. Like beef bullion you'd unwrap from those gold cubes or packets one finds in top ramen. The meat was a mystery meat at best, as the shriveled up pieces given resembled tires more than meat. The "happy" roll was pathetic. Who puts ugly fish skin on the top of sushi? That's not pretty, that's gross. Any world traveled sushi lover would gag. But the worst part was the absolute disappointment of the fried shrimp. All bread and overcooked tough shrimp. Whoever gave this place good reviews are probably just blinded to get anything but pizza as an option for dinner, has never tried real 32 hour pho broth with fresh slices of beef and onion, or got paid for a good review. Who gives 2 leaves of basil and serves DRIED onions with pho??? Save your money and make your own. I know I am. This place is a joke with no culinary distinction. A great food wonderful atmosphere good people

So came with my family of 3 here love this place. Watched everyone around us get food even though they came in after us. And they even left before us. The waiter was nice but an hour and a half and still waiting for food was not cool.

Pleasantly surprised to find a sushi place in Kuna. We always leave the town to get sushi in Meridian or Boise. I thought Rice Works was more of a noodle place but happy to now know they have lots of good sushi options.

I got the Spicy Johnny and my wife got the Avokyu. Food was good and staff were very pleasant and helpful. I did take out but it looked like a nice place to dine in because of the low crowd and atmosphere.

Raspberry margarita and street noodles were amazing. Best place in Kuna.

I've been going to Rice Works since they've opened in Kuna and it's always been fresh and good. My wife and my mother-in-law and I went there for lunch today since the new menu, and the Sushi was really awesome. For an entree , I got the shrimp fried rice and that was the best fried rice anywhere. I can't think of a better Asian restaurant in the whole valley then Rice Works. The place is awesome and they have the best made drinks anywhere, love it. Definitely will go back again and again. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Sushi was excellent, I'd actually put it at the top of my list for sushi in the treasure valley.

The food is alright, but getting the dragon fries was disappointing. It was super salty, but the general shrimp and chicken teriyaki were good.

In total, we waited 1 hour for our food and spent about an hour and a half until we got the check. The staff was super friendly, but the wait was super ridiculous, and it's the main reason why going back would require some convincing.

Honestly, this place reminds me as a Californian bougé restaurant with relatively high prices and not an authentic Japanese restaurant. Personally, if you wanna wait the nearly two hours, go for it.

I think this is one of our new favorites in Kuna. We have come here a few times. The atmosphere is great, very friendly and attentive staff, and great food. Great job!

Food is always amazing! Drinks are excellent! Service has been slow the last couple of times. I'm not sure if it is staffing or what. Servers have always been very nice & apologetic for wait times.

Had lunch here for Mother's day. We were a family of 6. We ordered appetizers and a main course. The food was excellent ❗ Everyone was happy with the meal of their choosing .

Loved this place! The food was excellent. Service great! Price fair! We all had something different from the menu from fried rice to sushi to pho to lettuce wraps and it was all equally delicious!! Definitely heading back soon!

Had my fiancé pick some food up for us on his way home from work. I am super sick and wanted some Asian food. We live in Marsing so he had about a 30 minute drive home. He gets home and we both try our food and it was so bland and just tasted like straight up teriyaki/soy sauce and nothing else (street noodles) and my fiancé had pad Thai and found a short black hair in his food. Needless to say the food was thrown out and we are 40 bucks out. Yay.

We have always loved your restaurant. Sorry to report we were forced to eat across the street after waiting 20 min. For someone to talk to us. Never happened. The dark hair girl that was supposed to be our waitress finally talked to me while talking to the night manager. Its hard to find good help, I get it, but I hope you can get your customer service fixed. Would love to try it again when you do.

I just cannot believe what I experienced tonight. I sat there and watched the cooks eating food as they were cooking. This was unbelievable. It wasn’t just one cook but many of them.

Great food, friendly staff. We have had carryout sushi both times and it is the best we have had in a long time. My husband really likes the Spicy California Roll.

Was the food here good? Yes, but pretty spicy considering my husband and I both got level 1. Was the service even slightly good? NO. They told us 20 minutes over the phone and it took them almost an hour to get us our food when there was like 4-5 people just standing around and hanging out with their friends. I heard them say they dropped our food, but they never told us why there was a delay. We would have understood. I actually saw a girl who was eating with her friends who didn't work their just get and up and go in the back, grab something and then sit back down with her friends. This placed seemed like the serving staff was just a bunch of stoners who could not have cared less about how long we waited. The guy on the phone also told me I had a choice between white rice and yakisoba noodles without telling me the noodles would be an extra $4. I was shocked when I saw the bill. Pretty disappointing and will not be returning here. Do better Rice Works.

We got a handful of sushi rolls but by far our favorite was the chefs choice, 911, and the mixed spicy poke bowl! We will definitely be going back to enjoy some more sushi:) shout out to Evan and Carson for awesome recommendations and food! Its people like them, that will bring back costumers!

We placed a pick-up order and the site gave us a pick-up time of an hour away. No problem. We show up on time and wait an additional 30 minutes. This was for 2 meals only, no appetizers, no special requests, no drinks. They hadn't even started the order. We stood there and watched while they made it. Ridiculous. There was barely anyone inside the restaurant. The food was ok but not worth the poor service.

Sushi in Kuna!! Spicy Johnny and hamachi/nigiri is the best

This place is unexpectedly wonderful! The service is top notch and their drinks are Worth the money.
The service is outstanding and it is unexpected to find such a place so good in the middle of a tiny town in Idaho.
They have radically changed there old menu so be aware! The prices have increased as well. Gone are the days of dragon fries with marinated chicken and they now only serve it With beef.
A bit disappointing to be honest so I'm lowering it to 3 stars instead of 4... The service still is outstanding. And our waiter Caleb is incredible. I'm very disappointed that they wouldn't keep those fries for us.
Their menu was terrific their prices are reasonablestull but sad its just changed, and the atmosphere is different because of it.
I can No longer recommend this restaurant as highly as I did before because as the menu changed now they have a bunch of sushi and Lucy instead of the wonderful things they had before..

I’ve been to Rice Works in Kuna a couple times now and the food is delicious! Had Dragon Fries the first time and now they’re an every time item. SO GOOD!! I’ve been there with and without my kiddos. They loved the food as much as the adults. My only complaint is the service is super slow. I was there with my kids for nearly two hours and they got very restless waiting for their food. If you have time on your hands or want to enjoy a nice dinner date with plenty of time to talk, this is a great fit! I’ll be back, but I’m leaving the kids at home next time.

By far the best Asian food we've ever had in Kuna! Their bentos are the best, and their Thai food isn't bad. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Glad they are here!

My wife and I love Riceworks in Kuna. Always great food, full bar, and gluten free options.

It was 5-star all the way! Met the owner too. He was welcoming and glad to have us as customers. I personally love the restoration job on the interior of a classic older building. Wooden floors, beautiful paneling and accent furniture that complimented the rest of the interior. They did a nice job on completely remodeling the restrooms with vintage furnishings and plumbing fixtures and actually has hot water at the lavatory fixtures.
Food was good too. We shared lettuce wraps. The rice mixture was flavorful and abundant.

My kiddo and I enjoy getting dinner here, we carry out or dine in a couple times a month. The food as always good and the service is nice. Feel lucky to have such a nice place in town.

Great Kuna Gem great clean atmosphere to relax and enjoy some crafted food we try to get food to go or dine in at least once a week! If you haven't tried Riceworks Asian crafted food your definitely missing out! No need to drive out of Kuna!!! Support LOCAL KUNA BUSINESSES OLD DOWNTOWN HAS ALOT OF FOOD TO OFFER !!!! Great food, atmosphere and staff!

"Asian Fusion" is exactly right for this place. It's not really styled after any one type or region, but it's all tasty and the options to customize your order are good for a change. Parking is not the easiest to figure out, being on main street, but it's hard to fault the establishment for that.

Good food, good service, good price

Horrible, broken website that is difficult to use, and bad service, and they don't even take orders over the phone, they direct you to the website… This feels like a national chain garbage place. All of this is just my opinion

Ordered a healthy dinner & it come in clutch for the win! Yo guys, the food tasted fresh, and the prices are pretty decent too! Great customer service, fast & friendly. Will be back to try again other menu items. Give Rice Works a try if you haven’t already !

I love it there. a friend of ours took us here & I'm SO glad they let me order from the kids menu because that was a lot of food lol the waiter guy with the hipstery vibe was phenomenal super super cool

So happy to finally have a great place to eat in Kuna. Their spice levels are pretty dang accurate. I ordered a 3star and it had a pretty crazy… almost unexpected bite to it. But it wasn’t like… burn my mouth crazy spicy. It was an awesome experience, dining room was exceptionally clean and welcoming. And the waiters and waitresses were an absolute joy. 10/10

We ordered pot stickers, pho soup, orange chicken, and pork and seeds. The pot stickers were OK, the pork and seeds were no better than the grocery store. The pho was absolutely disgusting. Over powered by cinnamon and gingerbread seasonings. Disgusting threw it away. The orange chicken was grilled chicken with a splash of orange sauce. Disgusting. It was a complete waste of 50 dollars. You can get better chinese food from the frozen aisle in the market. We will NEVER go back. Don't waste your money here, you will be disappointed

Justin the bartender was amazing, both of our cocktails were amazing,
the crab rangoon dip is amazing, the combo fried rice was amazing, the Ninja chicken was Ninja.

Quality of food has gone downhill

Why does the phò soup have no salt and why is the beef in it SO sweet?!!! I was so confused, I’ve had phò hundreds of times in different restaurants around the country and this was the first time I had sweet beef phò. Very very disappointing. The only thing that was absolutely delicious was the lettuce wraps. Very sad to see Vietnamese food poorly represented.

Finally some really great Asian food in the Treasure Valley. We had food delivered and everything was awesome! The sauce on the Potstickers was out of this world. Had never eaten there before and we were just too exhausted to leave the house. We were very happy and will eat at the location in Kuna next time! Thank you!
