We visited this restaurant on our final day in Maui, and what a treat it was! Every dish on the menu is customizable, by choice of protein, spice level, ingredient selection and if required dietary restriction. The owners are family, and they treat the restaurant as a member of their family, which I respect deeply.

We got the Pad Thai with Salmon, with added hot sauce (there area variety, go try them all), and added egg. With that, we got the garlic fried tofu to seal the deal. What a joy it was, it was easily one of the best Pad Thai and tofu combinations I've ever had. I highly recommend dining here. You will have no regrets.

It’s not often we get an opportunity to give anything a 5 star rating across the board but this place deserves it. Classic flavours, perfect execution and despite everything being ´plated ´ in take-away containers the presentation was excellent. We enjoyed how fresh everything was and the little details like the cute little Thai flags put things over the top. Don’t be put off by their fully digital ordering system. It’s super smooth and we had zero issues with it. The owner Mathew is super hospitable and we enjoyed his conversation. The dining room has great decor and the music was also on point. To summarize: If you are craving Thai food in Maui…. Go here. Don’t hesitate.

While I appreciate that Maui is making efforts to go plastic-free, it's worth mentioning that this restaurant still relies on plastic water bottles, food containers for takeout, and plastic drink cups. It seems contradictory to their dedication to excellent food. Furthermore, the limited table space can become crowded with all the takeout containers.

Overall, if you're in search of outstanding Thai cuisine with plenty of vegetarian options, this restaurant is a definite must-visit. Just be aware of the plastic usage and plan accordingly.

Just wow! I will be dreaming of this food until my next Maui vacation. If you have not tried this place you are missing out! Excellent service, outstanding Thai food, and super convenient by the airport. My husband and I needed to grab a bite to eat and this place did not disappoint. It’s a special spot. We recommend the shrimp rolls 10/10, the pad Thai is also fantastic, and the bao buns.. YUM. I really wish we could bag this up and take it back to Arizona. It’s all in to- go environmentally friendly boxes and utensils, and you order on your phone using QR code - which we loved. The owner Matthew was super welcoming and food came out quick. We also noticed they cut a hole in the top of some of the boxes so that the fried food stayed crisp. The level of detail here makes you want to keep coming back. We’re obsessed with this place and know you will be too. Go try it!!

Amazing food.... Ordered and out quickly!!! We had a drive on the other side of island and the packaging was perfect even for the soup! We are the rolls on the ride and they were fully of yummy fresh veggies.

One of the warmest and kindest people own this place. They are very polite and respectful people.

The food was top notch. The northern Thailand pork belly stew/curry I had was amazing. The pork drunken noodles were good too, but the star was for sure the stew/curry sauce.

After telling us his life story, he took us to the back were he only had one custumer. My dad asked for the menu and then preceded to get in his face and say “ your being Stern with me so I’m going to be Stern with you” so me and my family are fed up at this point so we get up to leave and he just starts speedwalking after us saying cuss words I don’t want to repeat. Don’t come here!

You're not ready for how great this place is

We were a long way away from home and waited for this restaurant to open.
When it did open, it had a sign that said that it was for takeout only.
I asked the owner if she would make an exception because we were so far away from home and didn't know the area to go eat the food. She did not need to serve us just to give us a glass of water and let us eat, and we understood that she was short handed.
She was very accommodating and made this exception.
The food was fantastic!!!!

A charismatic host pops out and gives you the run down of how to order. With QR codes on the table, you scan them and order all on your phone. This little spot was amazing! The yellow curry was honestly the best I've ever had and the orange chicken garlic noodles were amazing as well.
Everything is take out style so it's easy to take home and it's fully customizable; spice level, the addition of different toppings, hot sauce, etc. which is super nice.
The menu is all on your phone as well as payment; it's always nice to support a family owned business.
Also if you're a local they give you a discount code as well which is nice, we'll absolutely be adding this little spot to our rotation of places we eat at consistently, thank you for the amazing food and service!

Hands down the best meal we had on Maui! The owner was also a delight and I enjoyed his anecdotes of traveling in Thailand. He treated us to a second mango sticky rice dessert on the house, amazingly mouth watering flavor.

Last night it was khao soi - a noodle dish with a coconut based curry, pickled cabbage, and fried wontons. I chose chicken as the protein. So good!

Dishes that stand out from previous visits are the Thai fish plate, orange chicken bao buns, pad kee mao, and larb. (Try the northern style if you are looking for new flavors! Both styles are great though!)

Decided to try place on the way to the airport and what a gem this restaurant is. It is unique and innovative. You are greeted by Elvis!! How can you complain? The owner came out and welcomed us and explained the concept to us clearly. It is a restaurant that simplifies the entire experience. Food was amazing! Best food I've had on my entire trip in Maui. Ordered the homemade sausages, orange chicken and garlic noodles, Thai ice coffee, spring rolls, and mango coconut sticky rice.

Sausages were flavorful and paired well with the cabbage provided and you can cleanse your pallet with the pickled ginger.

Orange chicken was unique and not like the usual Chinese orange chicken. Tender pieces of meat served over delicious garlic noodles. You could taste the love and tradition of the family cooking.

Thai ice coffee was refreshing and provided us with a boost of energy before take off.

Spring rolls were crispy and not oily.

Coconut mango sticky rice was the icing on the cake. Simply delicious and would highly recommend you check this establishment out for a unique and delectable experience. Would 100 percent come back for more.

Owner was super friendly and came by every table to say hi and ask how the experience was.

Couldn't have asked for a better final Maui experience.

By far the most incredible Thai food we’ve ever had. Our family of 6 tried different meals and shared. Every. Single. Dish. was delicious!! The family’s favorites were the orange chicken with garlic noodles, drunken noodles, Tom yum soup, and Thai fried rice. Service was excellent. Food was made to order and served quickly. Love that you ordered and paid with the QR code, it was so simple and nice to just leave when you were done.

We were greeted right when we got there and seated quickly. He (manager, maybe owner?) explained how to order and offered some suggestions on what to get. We looked through the menu and ordered coconut shrimp, chicken satay, yellow curry with beef & white sticky rice, and orange chicken & jasmine rice. All of the food was very good and my husband enjoyed his thai coffee. The food and service were great, this was our first stop on our trip and we would definitely come back.

Thoroughly disappointed, especially given this place is so highly reviewed. The restaurant does have sit down area but the food is still given take out style. Defeats the purpose when you wanna actually sit and eat at a restaurant without having to hassle about other things. I don’t get if they are trying not to do the dishes or saving on manpower, seemed like an unnecessary gimmick. Even then, the containers were leaky, I actually burnt myself from the hot soup leaking form the paper bag.
The food was underwhelming. For a restaurant in Maui, I had higher expectations. The Tom Yum soup was unnecessarily spicy for a mild one & the Panang was plain bland for a medium one. Maybe we went on an off day, but in my personal experience I would not recommend this place to anyone. 3/10.

Thai food is amazing here - well balanced spices, flavor and consistency. They have a self-serve style option with dishes served in takeout boxes which is a perfect option right after you land in Maui.

For the wife and I, it’s always a hit or miss for authentic Thai food. My Thai was our first Thai restaurant we dined at during our first trip to Maui. It will also be the only Thai spot in Maui if we ever come back. The food is 110% authentic, service is fast, the quantity and quality of the food is excellent, host and family are very professional and down to earth. If you know real Thai food, don’t hesitate to try this place. You will thank me later.

Cannot recommend My Thai Maui more!! We had just come from hiking around Haleakala and needed to refuel, this place hit the spot. I ordered the pad woon sen and my husband got the pad see ew and both were delicious, all of the ingredients were really fresh and cooked perfectly. We were traveling with friends who are vegetarian and they had no trouble finding delicious options they could enjoy as well. The cherry on top was the fantastic service.
We will absolutely be visiting next time we go to Maui! 10/10 recommend!

Very cool concept. The ordering process was all digital, quick and easy to use. The food came out very quickly and was hot and freshly cooked. Spice level was on point. Large choice of items and options. The host (owner) was very customer service friendly and gave us some good info on the history of the family and the concept. A++. Well worth the visit and we will be back anytime we visit Maui.

Called before leaving, told no reservation needed, arrived after 30 minute drive to not be seated. Terrible. This place plays games with you.

Update: owner reached out and offered an apology, and asked to revisit. Maybe in the future when I actually can, which isn’t this year now. I understand staff shortages, and I was offered the to go option if we could wait up to one hour for it to be ready and I was extremely content with that option. Our order would have been 3 pad Thai chicken and 2 mango sticky rice, which is by no means a clog on the kitchen. These are easy dishes to make, I make them myself and it was then withdrawn 5 minutes later by the staff. Being tugged and pulled around doesn’t provide a professional atmosphere that is deserving of my business. Hopefully, this is a situation no one else will have to experience, as it’s left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I enjoyed my visit, food was out quickly and was fresh and hot. I really enjoyed the tiger cry plus roasted garlic and Thai chili peppers, the papaya salad, and the mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious, and having traveled to Thailand and consider myself a bit of a Thai food critic; I definitely will come back to try more dishes. I also suggest to view the dishes as family style, as the tiger cry was plenty with everything we ordered for 2 people; and would have probably fed 3.

As far as the service, it is a food truck style set up with a laid back environment but very present owner. I enjoyed the seating arrangements, very practical and good spacing. The availability of trash cans, and the paper towel roll will come in handy when you scarf down your food. Definitely recommend sitting closer to the parking lot to catch some of that maui breeze.

If you’re ever in Maui and crave Thai food then I don’t think you’ll be able to top this place. Amazing food and vibe!

Not kidding probably the best Thai food my family and I ever had the delight of eating. The orange chicken, mussuman curry, Kauai shrimp and drunken noodles were delish and seasoned perfectly, but the best surprise was the dessert: mango sticky rice. 10/10 all around! Would def recommend the orange chicken and Kauai shrimp.

Loved everything about this spot - our meals were delicious!

Restaurante muy recomendable !! Todo muy rico, limpio y el servicio fenomenal. Cierran a las 22.00, nosotros cenamos arroz frito con gambas, baos, pollo Satay, todo estaba buenísimo!!. Los dueños son una pareja, ella es tailandesa y el americano, aunque como ha vivido en España, habla un español perfecto!!

What an awesome thai restaurant, super chill vibe and the ownership is very friendly and skilled. Food is phenomenal definitely worth a visit while in Maui!

Wonderful food and service!

The food here is very authentic using all traditional ingredients and spices. When I look for Thai food this is exactly what I am seeking. I had the red curry and it was perfectly prepared nice and spicy not too sweet, a lot of Thai places use way too much palm sugar . They also prepared the jasmine rice nice and moist not all dried out. The chicken satay and pad Thai were also very traditionally prepared and the pad Thai had a nice kick to it, ordered it mild/medium heat, perfect! Of course if you don't like spice you can order it without, but to me it's part of the Thai experience . The service was stellar and the gentleman that greeted us was super informative about what to expect. Also we loved the whole setting here reminded us of many of the Thai restaurants we went to all over Thailand where locals frequent, cozy place here. Take out is another option of course. Tried most of the Thai places on Maui , this is definitely #1 in my opinion.

Incredible service, super fast, delicious food

Worst dine-in experience. The host (Matthew) is extremely disrespectful to guests and should frankly reevaluate if he wants to be in the hospitality/food business. Matthew disrespected us by calling us liars and made us feel uncomfortable to the point we got up and left the restaurant in the middle of the meal. He followed us outside the restaurant shouting. I understand that this is a family owned business and I wish they continue serving the community but the dine-in experience is not just about food. It's definitely not about being aggressive and lecturing your guests about capitalism and TIPS especially when you are not serving the guests in the restaurant.

I loved the concept of ordering using a QR code and prepaying our meals and beverages. If you don't see anyone at the glass window where Elvis is, walk into the sit down area next door where tables are set up, grab a table, if one is free and start your order using the QR code. Or just use the QR code on their stand up sign order to go and they'll call your name out on a speaker, grab and go, and eat at a nearby beach! It's simple! The host was super friendly, welcoming, and had a great sense of humor. The food was delicious. I ordered the garlic noodles with orange chicken and my wife had the drunken noodles. Super convenient after a long flight from California and hit the spot. We're coming back before we leave the island to try more dishes. It was amazingly tasty! Thai food at its finest!

Giving a 1-star rating to this place just because it cannot be lower! Easily the worst experience I had. The host was disrespectful and hostile towards us (and another group of Indians). We said we'll tip him in cash and he blatantly had the guts to say that we were lying and never intended to tip him - I mean how disrespectful can a host be? We tried to reason with him but he continued his monologue and just would not listen to us.
Our evening coming back from Hana was ruined by a visit to this place. Avoid if you don't want a harrowing experience.

We landed in Maui and rushed over to My Thai Maui (they close the kitchen for an hour between lunch and dinner service but their dining area stays open), got there about 30 mins before this time frame. Its in a little strip shop next to a dance studio and few other stores but don't let that deter you!
We rang the bell for service at the window and Matthew came out to greet us. He was amazingly warm and welcoming, despite us coming so close to their closing time.
We sat in their open air dining area and ordered through app. The weather/ breeze/views were perfect!
The food came out quickly and it was hot, fresh, and delicious! We ordered the lobster fried rice, pad thai, red curry, orange chicken, orange chicken baos, spring rolls, pad mama, etc (we were a group of 12, lol). Matthew came out to check on us several times to ensure we had everything we needed and the food was to our liking.
All in all, one of our favorites meals/experiences in Maui :) great food and service!

delicious, flavorful, fresh, fast, hot, big selection of menu items. this place is super casual- order from your phone served takeout style but you can eat there in a cute vibey open air hangar style dining area. no frills but the star of the show is 100% the food!!! everything we tried was to die for. a must if you’re into thai food.

Definitely the best Thai on the island. We stop by here whenever we touch down and head out of Maui on vacay. Quality has always been consistently great and a huge variety of dishes.
Had the pleasure of trying the e San sausage this time and it was bursting with notes of lemongrass and Thai basil. The pork belly curry was also top notch with tender, melt in your mouth bits of pork belly with a bit of a Hawaiian twist reminiscent of kalua pork. The garlic noodles and khao soi are dishes we've returned to each time.
The owner Matt is super down to earth and friendly. He threw down some knowledge on Thailand and hooked us up with extra pickled ginger and mustard greens as well as an order of mango sticky rice.
Concept of the restaurant is unique but works. It's takeout only but they also provide an area for you to eat in if you'd like to eat it fresh (which I highly recommend). Decorated well and always clean.
Hit this place up if you want some bomb Thai on Maui!

One of the best food options if you are staying at Maui and like Asian/ Thai food. I went twice during three days as the food was so good. The manager was also very friendly. Best part is he remembered me the next day even when it was an online order

Wait wait wait.
For a GREEN THAI CURRY, that is already 18$ you are charging 4-5$ extra for regular sticky rice, and to add any protein or veggies it’s added cost. So i pay approximately 35$ when I am made to ADD rice, veggies, protein.
Like WHATTTTTT?????
So I will only get the curry (liquid) for 18$?

Poor "service"

We ate here a year ago and wanted to come back. The food was just as good and service was great. Everything we ordered was incredible. This food could be served in an expensive restaurant and the place would be packed. Get the mango sticky rice for desert. So good! Will definitely be headed to this place again.

The food: red curry was solid 4.5/5. Drunken noodles 4/5, the beef just looked weird white color. The mango stick rice 5/5.

The weird owner interaction... in parking lot he was asking another customer to rate the place cause of bad other reviews, and him reading those bad reviews was very peculiar and made me doubt the high ratings.... Very very weird.

Regardless solid food - had many better in NYC, amazing mango sticky rice.

My friends, Jenna, Olivia, and I came to My Thai Maui spontaneously and had an amazing experience! I would recommend this place to anyone on Maui as it was one of my favourite restaurants I have been to on my trip. The owner is very personable, and you can tell he is passionate about what he does!

What was one of my favorite Thai restaurants and experiences is no longer so, after tonight. The food is still good so takeout may be your best option.

Stopped by here before our flight back. The place is unique and super tasty. It’s in a warehouse with some super cool vibes and open garage. The food comes in to-go containers which is convenient. We had the Khao Soi, fresh summer rolls, and mom’s coconut corn dessert, all delicious. Service is super fast and the owner is very friendly. Would definitely come back to try more dishes!

My wife and I were really craving some great Thai food and this was the final night of our trip before we headed back to MN! We read the other reviews and this restaurant did not disappoint! The food, the service level, and atmosphere were top notch! I would recommend this place to anyone!

So they have a window, with no I menu.and nobody except Elvis, and you can only order online or sit.. but you have to stand outside for service. this was the last time I was there during
COVID-19 and they still do it this way...??why?? The guy who actually brought me the food was a very rude and only kind to people who want to sit.. I'm sorry I worked all day in mother's day and I just wanted to get food and go home. And really the worst PADTAI I have experienced

We’ve dined here many times and My Thai Maui is also one of our favorite take out spots in Kahului. Excellent food that is always delicious and comes out quickly. Friendly staff and one of the best Thai food restaurants we’ve ever eaten at. Bao buns are my personal favorite! Great spot to go to for either dine in or takeout.

Well, we ordered on line for pick up, one Tom kha, Pad Thai and Orange Tofu. Everything was very well made except for the Pad Thai. We are vegetarians and the Pad Thai came with chicken, even though we specifically ordered with Tofu. It's sad because after a day with several hikes, driving and visiting, all we wanted was taking a shower and eat something while relaxing at the hotel. I know we should have called, but like I said, we were so tired that we didn't want to drive anymore to pick something else. We removed as Max as chicken we could but the taste was there and it's really bad for us.

Found this on a Google search for "best food near me" when we landed at Kahului. So glad we did! Matthew, the owner, greeted us warmly and explained the process (exclusively QR-based ordering and payment, to-go style - super smart considering proximity to the airport and the Road to Hana). Matthew was outgoing and friendly and had us feeling like friends by the time we left. The restaurant had a nice laid-back vibe and totally open air with the trade winds blowing in. It was awesome. And the food was even better than the atmosphere! We ordered Northern Thai Larb, orange chicken bao, coconut tapioca, and mango sticky rice. All delicious!! Highly recommend! Support a small family-owned business and give this little gem a try. You'll be glad you did!

We ate here our last day in Maui and it was by far the best meal we ate. More than that, it was the best Thai food I’ve had by a mile. Service was great, food was fast, and we got a lot of food for the money. An absolute must-eat. Would highly recommend the Pad-Thai and the Sticky Mango Rice. My only regret is we didn’t eat here sooner so we could have tried more before we left!

What a delightful find! Food is delicious! I love this little family owned restaurant. It’s only 5 minutes from the airport. Perfect place to enjoy my last meal on Maui. Can’t wait to return to My Thai Maui.

You know, it's hard to find restaurant reviews you can trust for Maui. After all, people are on vacation and in a good mood, a good motivator for a generous restaurant review.

Also, you get people coming in from all sorts of places, some of which may not have great restaurants. So the reviews for mediocre restaurants may get an undeserved bump on Google reviews.

Not so here.

We've been to Thailand, northern and southern, and love Thai food.

My Thai serves really great food, served with love by an interesting family. Despite being super busy when we were there, the owner, Matthew, came out to chat with every table.

We had the Khao Soy (northern Thai soup) and it was as close to what we had in Northern Thailand as any version since. The pineapple fried rice was delicious as the pineapple tasted super fresh and grilled to perfection. The chicken bao were pretty good, but our party of two could have done without a third dish because there was so much food in the soup and rice.

The place is in a funky little strip mall by the airport and the experience was perfectly quirky enough to make this a memorable meal for sure. It's fairly expensive but the quality shows through. 10/10 would go again.

Spent the whole day exploring the island and this place was the biggest treat. The place is owned by a wonderful family. FOOD IS FANTASTIC. One of the best Thai places I have ever been too. All positions in the menu are fantastic. Very easy order through their web-site, pay quickly online, the food is ready in take away boxes within 10 mins and then you have an options either sit down and eat here or leave with you dishes. We had lobster buns (absolutely insane, never seen that much fresh crab in one dish, sauce was from heaven), pad see was incredible too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!!!!

Great place to stop if your really hungry after your flight. Or if you want to grab a bite before leaving Maui. This little gem is just a five minute drive from the airport. I had the orange tofu bay buns and Thai tea. The bay buns were delicious!!! 10/10 recommend

Some of the best Thai food I’ve experienced. Mahalo

This was the most unsettling experience we had in Maui. We walked up to the restaurant and the owner Matthew came out to explain how the restaurant works (basically a glorified food truck). It was super windy and cold and the other party indicated they were keen to go inside since this was the second restaurant they had tried. He basically yelled at them in front of us giving them the spiel that he seems to give everyone else giving 1 star reviews on Google. It was an extreme overreaction to someone not wanting to stand out in the wind and rain in order for him to drag out an explanation of how the restaurant is unlike no other (in reality, its just indoor/outdoor seating options and QR code ordering only).

There’s no service at this restaurant and everything is brought out to a counter in takeout boxes. We tried to ask about some modifications for allergies, and it was hard to get a straight answer out of the owner. He just kept saying we were in ‘vegetarian and vegan paradise’ but we just wanted to know if they had a vegetarian oyster sauce

The prices of the food seem steep for no wait staff and having to bus your own tables when you’re done.

More importantly, we were shocked to come to google reviews and find the aggression shown in responses from the owner to anyone that has given lower than 5 stars in a review. Even if we enjoyed the food, we would not come back here and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the owner’s attitude. It seems crazy to us that someone would go that far out of their way to be rude to people trying to give their honest opinion of the restaurant (which is what these reviewing platforms are for)

We don’t want a refund, we just want to let other people know about our experience.

That restaurant was not great. I had to wait for an hour for my food to come, but the food was decent. While, I do understand they are short-staffed, I can see from the other reviews they have been short-staffed for a while now.

I can't say enough about how good this food is. When we came in from the airport we saw it in yelp. We made a point to stop back by before we flew out. Their service is different, everything is served takeout style. However, don't pass this place up. The food is amazing. We got shrimp rolls, spicy thai ginger chicken and snow crab rice. The shrimp rolls were there best I've ever had. The server is amazing and made a point to come ask how everything was. Best food in Maui in my opinion.
