A gem in the heart of Salt Lake a mile away from Halsey Terrace. The food was surprisingly very delicious and staff was very courteous and friendly. We had the fried chicken, shrimp pad Thai and yellow curry. All were very delicious!!! Most highly recommended! Will definitely go back for more!

My only complaint is that the Yellow Curry was rather bland and not as spicy as I was lead to believe, even after adding a whole bowl of Thai Chilis. I probably should have tried the "Pad Thai" lol. Great service and Atmosphere. Plan accordingly, parking is horrible. Edit: I had the Pad Thai.... Boom!!!! That is the best I've had in years. I'm giving the food a 5 just for that meal alone.

The papaya salad had very little flavor (I got it mild and it had ZERO spice) and when in a to-go container they actually put all the plate dressings too, so there were just big chunks of cabbage and lettuce 😂

The green curry smelled funny… like a barn. But it also was more of a milky white and not very green, BUT it was chock full of chicken and bamboo shoots. Not as much eggplant, and what was there was very mushy.

My husband had the chicken pad Thai and that was actually tasty but a little dry.

For a curry lover such as myself I will probably not be getting food there again. 😕

Pad Thai is a diamond in the rough. The name may sound generic and the exterior of the shop doesn't look like much but let the flavors explode in your mouth. It's been so long since I've had these noodle. I thought it would be blazee but it woke my taste buds...can you say umami. The Pananng curry was soooo creamy and delicious. These are my go to dishes to know whether the food is good. They hit it on the head.

My family and I had a delightful experience at Pad Thai in Aiea. The seafood Lanad plates and crispy chicken fried were outstanding. The service from the cashier, server, and chefs was commendable. Kudos to the great team!

Great serving sizes, definitely worth the money if you want cheap and good Thai food. The restaurant itself is a bit of a whole in the wall, a lot of clutter in thr kitchen that's visible from the dining area, which is what you'd expect for a small locally owned restaurant.

I absolutely love it here! The food is amazing pho, summer rolls, chicken salad laap is so good , papaya salad , bahn mi 😋 and the wings amazing with sticky rice! Everything here that I tried and nothing was disappointing. Go and get you some good food with great prices and good portion! I Always ask for loas style because I love it sour salty and spicy with just a little sweet and they will deliver.

I will preempt this review by saying that I'm a huge Thai cuisine fan, and have eaten at dozens of Thai places all around the world. This place has authentic and flavorful dishes. If you like spicy, they take you seriously if you ask for it. The Pad Prik King was the best I've ever had. Fresh vegetables and great sauce. The chicken satay was perfect, easily the best I've ever had as well. The curry was average, not bad at all, and you can tell it was well simmered because the potatoes and carrots had the curry flavor inside.

Lastly, the customer service was great. 10/10. They are friendly and seem happy to have you there, unlike some places that always frown and act like your presence in their business is a chore.

Overall, I recommend this place. Out of 3 dishes I had, 2 were record breakers. Combine that with good customer service and you've got 5 stars in my book.

I absolutely love this place. The owners serve their guest and the food is authentic and tasty. We try and stop in for dinner at least once a month if not more. I will always go out of my way to stay loyal to a family owned restaurant even a franchise spot when the food and family are wonderful.
My go to favorites are the #9, #6 and I really enjoy the cold poppya salad, Thai hot baby! The green curry with eggplant and beef is delicious everytime.. Ask the owner his favorite dish and you will be in for a tasty treat.

Small, hole in the wall shop that serves the BEST garlic chicken stir fry on the island! Love it! Tom Yum soup on point, too, according to the wife!

Ordered take out for lunch. There were a few people dining in and most of them ordered the pho. I got panang curry, veg/tofu. it wasn't on the menu or i would have ordered online. Pick up was easy and fast. the food overall was lacklister. it was a decent portion just heavy with coconut milk and hard to taste the panang. $22 for lunch and a thai tea seemed expensive.

Spring rolls were very tasty, and had a great crispy crunch (would recommend!). Green curry and panga curry were good but not the best we've had, though it's a large portion. Both had a mild level of heat, could use a bit more. Green was a bit light on spices for the amount of coconut milk used. Panga tasted fine but had a chalky mouth feel. Because the restaurant bulk cooks the curry and add the cooked meat to order, the meat is dry but it's easier than cooking several batches with different meats. Rice doesn't come with the curry and one side order was about two large scoops for 2.99.

Great little place to get good food without huge crowds

Located in Salt Lake Shopping Center, this place is not what you imagine when you think great Thai food however you are wrong. This place is the typical dive place where locals go.

They have a small place, but its cozy. Their staff includes our most favorite server ever. I dont know if he owns the place or has worked there for a long time but his chipper attitude and great service keeps us going back after years of dining there.

Their food is all great, you really cant go wrong. Our main gotos are the pad thai, panang curry, yellow curry, any fried rice.

I also get their papaya salad and larb often.

The missus gets the thai iced coffee every time and she loves it.

Sure this place isnt shiny and buzzing with people, but its great food for great prices and you are supporting what looks like a ma and pop place.

It’s amazing

This is one of our go-to spots in the Salt Lake area. We tend to eat food from here around two times a month and it is consistently good. My wife LOVES the pad si ew and I have settled on the rad na as our main dishes. Their spring rolls are also super tasty and crispy and I will order them as my main dish from time to time. It may be surprising, but we also usually add the fired chicken because it is perfectly fried with really crispy skin and tender meat. Highly recommend giving it a shot, confident you won't be disappointed, plus if you call in an order, it's always ready in "15 minutes" 😜

Kinda pricey

Ordered the chicken basil. Very dissapointing. Chicken was dry and chewy. The dish was supposed to be spicy but there was no spyciness at all. Hardly any basil flavour and to make things even worse the bamboo shoots used smelled and tasted like they have not even been rinsed after taking them oit of the can 2 stars because the dish is still edible

Went here on a whim and because I had a taste for Thai food. Thai food is only 2nd to Korean food on my list of favorites so it was nice to have a Thai place so close to my hotel. I put in an order for takeout and it took them less than 15 minutes. Super fast! And the lady that took my order was very nice! I ordered Red Curry and some spring rolls. The curry is absolutely delicious as well as the rolls. I only wish the curry was a bit spicier but other than that, it is yummy. I think I ordered a bit too much food for myself but it will make a great snack for later. I will definitely be back to try some other dishes. 😋

This is our go to Thai place. Their curry is the right consistency and the sticky rice complements nicely. We usually go with the panang and yellow curries. We also like the salad. If you can handle Thai spicy, they offer various levels but you have been warned. Order ahead. Their seating is limited at the moment. Their chicken is also delicious.

Pad Thai from a place called PAD THAI should be good, right? Well it’s not good here. I ordered from here twice just to make sure. It has very little flavor and I asked for it to be spicy but I didn’t sweat at all. I like to sweat when eating spicy Pad Thai. Very convenient location to where I live and I’m so disappointed because I randomly crave Pad Thai and I have to go further out for good Thai food.

The chicken curry was okay and the cucumber salad was bomb. The last time we came her the pad thai was not that good. This time the spring rolls were not good.

Came here for the first time. We hot there around 730. Was super busy, but waitresses were very nice. Told us there was a wait. We got seated in about 15 minutes. But once we ordered, the food came out quickly!!!! We ordered seafood pho, green curry, panang curry, chicken fried rice, crispy fried chicken and sticky rice. Everything was delicious!! Will go back!!

Just ate there today for lunch. I ordered the spring rolls to-go and found a live maggot on one of my cucumbers. Showed it to my co-workers so they were aware before throwing it away. Called the restaurant manager who said we could get something else from the menu but couldn't get a refund due to us not having the proof. Thanks, but, no thanks.

Never go back again! The service was extremely rude and not accommodating to orders my family wanted corrected. Apparently long rice doesnt mean rice at all, it means noodles. I love this place. They offer a variety of food from Laos and Thailand. My favorite is Tom Ka soup or Laab. You can order take out or eat in the shop. Lots of parking available at salt lake shopping center. Very friendly owners and workers that like to talk story. I would definitely tell anyone looking for authentic food from Laos to come visit here!

To be honest... It's the best & most consistent meal in the area! This must be just one of the reasons why it's stayed opened so long, while so many others have closed quickly.
Their stuffed chicken wings are Ono, soup's are really great too!

Having traveled to Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam several times, I can say that the food offered here is as authentic and tasty as that offered in Southeast Asia. The portions are big, the food is spiced for the American palate. However, I'm sure if you asked for the traditional spiciness, they would do it. In my opinion, this is the most traditional tasting Thai restaurant in the area. Please, give them a try, you will not be disappointed.
