I'm still in the early phase of my relationship with Red Elephant Thai. I'm liking what I'm seeing on the lunch menu. I actually came looking for Larb, but perhaps it's simply not on the lunch menu. But the lunch menu is great because it's really affordable and varied. I played it safe with the Basil Beef Brocolli. I would definitely ask for more spice but the right flavors were there. If you're in the area give them a try!

We ordered the calamari, red curry chicken Thai hot , beef fried rice and the masamam curry . Everything had the perfect flavor . We would definitely go back !!

I fully enjoyed my lunch here. And the price was perfect. I came in right before a big rush came in and i was taken care of. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious. I have my allergies in which she took off some things i couldnt have. They were very quick and again the food was filling and oh so good. Will def be back often. Basil rice w/chicken. Didnt want it too or nearly spicy so they made it just perfect. They do make it spicier if thats how u like it. I need to learn how to make that simple salad. So delicious fresh tasty sweet.

Charming Thai restaurant, close to The Battery, Smyrna and Marietta. The atmosphere is open and inviting and you’re quickly seated by the friendly staff. Our server was quick to respond to our needs and very charming. We ordered the sour and spicy soup and the coconut soup. Both were well prepared, piping hot and very tasty. Our dishes were the Pad Ginger and the Pad Kee Maw Noodle. Both were expertly prepared and wonderfully presented. The spice and heat were perfectly applied to our dishes.
Red Elephant Thai is a exceptional restaurant and should be on your dinner/lunch rotation.

Okay this place was actually really good. The yellow curry my friend got was probably the most flavorful curry I’ve ever tried! And the prices were really reasonable too. Ingredients tasted fresh & servers were nice! :)

I have a special love for Thai food and this restaurant did not miss! I’m usually a Drunken Noodle lover but I tried the Curry and it was delicious. If you’re looking for good affordable food, this place doesn’t disappoint.

The only thing I would take issue with is the veggies have been a over cooked with the sauce and the food doesn’t take the flavour of the proteins.

I come to this restaurant often and I’ve enjoyed it but I’ve noticed a major hygiene issue. One of the short chefs regularly comes out to drink water and coughs without covering his mouth. The least he could do is wear a damn mask. I’ve seen this happen multiple times, and the managers aren’t doing anything about it. It’s very unsanitary and concerning, and I’m sure the managers are aware.

Food here is amazing! My mom is from Thailand and has a signature curry dish. I randomly ordered the curry with soft shell crab and it tastes SO MUCH like my mom’s signature dish. Blew my mind!! My favorite Thai restaurant in town 100%!

Ordered the Pad Thai from Uber eats. My order was sour, bitter and not the least bit spicy at all. Tofu was soggy. I asked multiple times for Thai hot seasoning or for it to be that spicy, none of which was followed. This meal is horrible to say the least.

We ordered the spring rolls, salmon curry and green curry. All were delicious. Definitely will come back!

I ordered the pad Thai with tofu and it smelled like straight dog food and I’ve never tasted dog food but I imagine it tastes like this. The flavor tasted like the food was NOT fresh and had a fishy flavor (vomits in mouth). My boyfriend had the vegetable fried rice with chicken… evidently “chicken of the sea” because that’s what it tasted like. Overall… everything was disgusting. I love throwing $30 down the drain! 😃

Best PAD SEE EW in ATLANTA. You guys want some good Thai cuisine and just crave the good ole spicy and reliable touch? Well you’ve come to the right place, I’ve been coming here for over two years and every time I never get disappointed and always order myself an extra plate to take home! Get the pad see ew shrimp or chicken with Thai hot and Thai tea and cheese rolls and you’re good to go! Definitely a must try if you’re a tourist or even if you’re a local!

My friends came and brought some food to go. I've only tried the fried tofu and I loved how soft it was when I bit into it + the sauce provided. I'll definitely go there myself and get a full meal! Can't wait.

Best chicken pad thai in town! Every time I come here I’m very pleased with it.

I wanted to like this place. The lady who took my to-go order was very friendly and helpful, but the food itself was underwhelming. We ordered the drunken noodles (pad kee mao) and pineapple fried rice as well as the chicken satay - all were pretty disappointing, and portions were relatively small for the price. The mango sticky rice dessert was good though. Overall, don’t think I’ll be returning.

Great option in walking distance of Marriott and Springhill Suites hotels! I came with a group of friends I was traveling with and we had a great time. Food was high quality, prices are reasonable for what you get, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Everyone loved their food and the wait to get food was pretty short after ordering.

I have a special love for Thai food and this restaurant did not miss! I’m usually a Drunken Noodle lover but I tried the Curry and it was delicious. If you’re looking for good affordable food, this place doesn’t disappoint.

- one of our menu items was supposed to come w veggies, tofu and rice (this one dish was priced at $19, and our overall ticket was $52 including a tip that wasn’t deserved). However, our dish was missing the tofu and rice- it only came w veggies. When we called about it, Shan and her team offered us little to no help or solutions (no offers for a partial refund or to remake the dish for us to pick up). I had to ask for a partial refund (they denied it) and I asked whether it can be fully remade (no clear answer from Shan on this). I kept asking for solutions and all I got back was a very unsure sounding comment that we would get a free dish next time we came in (I doubt she even wrote our names down).

I wasn’t mean or angry since I know it likely wasn’t Shan’s fault but for the price we paid for the dish, we would hope to have some level of quality customer attention.

The food is absolutely delicious! I had the Chao Lay and if you like seafood, you need to try this dish.

Terrible service. I ordered Thai Basil Rice made without eggs. The order came out wrong. I returned to the restaurant with the food in hand to report the error. The waitress said that she’d fix it. The waitress told me to throw the wrong dish in the trash outside of the restaurant. I did. She returned from the kitchen to bill me for the new order of rice. I explained again. She said okay. Then a lady (cook) walked out the kitchen to ask for the old bowl. I told them that it’s in the trash and I’m not digging for it. She went out to dig it out of the trash. I listened as the cooks argued back and forth in the kitchen over my order and decided I wasn’t willing to take a chance eating their food. I didn’t get a chance to ask for a refund because they were still arguing in the kitchen. Long story short, don’t waste your time eating here. Very unprofessional cooks! Who would have an appetite after you see the cook walk out of the kitchen to dig through the trash?.. ONLY A FOOL.

Best Thai in Atlanta. Everything is fresh. You can tell the chef puts time and attention into every dish. The service was super friendly and efficient. I usually get the red curry (my fav), but enjoyed the spicy basil stirfry tonight with Tom Kha soup. If you are not sure of the heat level, they will bring a trio of heat sauces on the side. We had a delicious mango dessert.

I recently was in NYC and wanted to try a highly rated, trending Thai restaurant there. I was pretty shocked at having dinner at the Red Elephant here in Marietta, and finding that it was even better than the Thai restaurant that was raved about on the Upper West Side!
I had the coconut milk soup and there were so many layers of flavor. I had them add chicken as my protein, and it was understated deliciousness. I could taste the flavor of every ingredient because of the freshness of components. The summer rolls which are the shrimp and basil wraps in that clear rice wrapper,were on par with the best I've ever had.
Everyone in our party was super happy with their orders. And the service was also on point.

I have been going here for the last 9-10 years, and always wondered how the taste can be the same. I love the food, never cared for their service, even though its not as desired.

If you’re looking for great Thai food, keep looking. Red Elephant is NOT the spot. I ordered 2 items for pick up. The basil fried rice Thai hot and the rice was very sticky, tasted starchy and not spicy at all. The Panama curry sauce was thin and lacked flavor. I kept wishing for more flavor and substance with each bite. In the past the food was great but this time it was pure disappointment.

Ordered hot and they gave me flavorless basil rice. This is why I don’t tip these people.

Best Tom Kha soup in Atlanta

Food took 20 minutes longer than expected pickup time, which is fine if it’s good. The rice noodles were so mushy, and the pad Thai was flavorless. It was a good portion of food, but tasted like nothing. I didn’t expect it to be super authentic, but this was poorly made.

Had the Tom Kha soup and Shrimp Pad Thai, both were prepared extremely well. I requested both spicy and they delivered, both dishes were perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious! This place is very well priced too. My waitress was very lovely and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through Atlanta that wants to stop just off I-75 for some great Thai!

We googled for best Thai restaurants in Smyrna and this place did not disappoint. The food was delicious. It had the best Tom kha soup I have ever had and their basil rolls were also delicious. The only note I would add is that the curries do not come with rice. You need to order that separately.

My wife and I eat here all of the time. So, much so that we are on a first name basis with the staff. Excellent food, presented beautifully and priced right. I try to get new things and the food never lets me down and neither does the staff.

Update: The food was still good but the staff was just 2 young people blasting some rap/hip hop. Kinda ruined the idea of coming for a nice quiet dinner

I’ve eaten here quite a few times years ago, like 2010-2011 when I lived across the street. The curry dishes are my favorite. Fast forward to 2022, the food was hot and fresh but I noticed a change to the curry (ordered red curry w/tofu). It isn’t creamy/thick as before years ago. The consistency was thin like water. :( BUT the flavor is still there, full of flavor. Staff always friendly and dining area is still nice and clean. I’ll still come back for lunch…I can’t deny the flavor…delicious.

The take out food quantity is really really less. You will feel like you have order a lunch box of a 8 year old kid. With half section full of rice and half Curry. Not at all value for money. Will not recommend for take out at least.

Went there tonight for the first time. It was a wonderful experience. Wait staff was prompt courteous. Ordered the roti and pad thai for dinner. Excellent choices. You get your moneys worth. Food arrived quickly. It was hot and delicious. I'd highly recommend this place and plan on returning.

Amazing staff, food, and environment. First time coming here and I will be back. We had the roti and two plates of pad Thai noodles with tofu and beef for $31. The staff greeted us at the door and kept our water full. The chefs had the food ready in less than 10 minutes and the spice was not overpowering at all. The tofu was lightly breaded which gave it a good flavor. As someone who really enjoys spicy food I ordered “hot”. The spice had my mouth tingling the entire meal and it lasted for around 10 minutes after I finished eating; ideal for me. I would recommend this place to anyone looking authentic Thai in the area.

2019: The orders came in reasonable time and tasty. The restaurant seems reasonable clean. Unfortunately, the table services are not able to keep up. Went there twice, the the servers ignored the instructions not to use specific vegetable due to food allergy both time. They did redo the dish both times but not without attitudes, won’t go back again.

We ask the lady in the front door if there is a table for two, and she said: “you can look yourself”.

We chose a table and sat there for five minutes. No one showed up to provide us any menu or water.

We stopped a waiter and asked if we can get the menu. She said someone will be with us shortly. Then there was another five minutes waiting.

Very offended. Very disappointed.

Pretty good! I like the dining room; would be a great place for a date.

Have been eating here since they have opened over a decade ago. Some of the staff is same set of people since day one which speaks for itself.

During lunch food is relatively quick. Lunch specials are designed to fit shorter break.

They can make Vegan / Vegetarian food on request for most of the items. My goto item has been Vegetable fried rice among others.

Good portions, fast service and great food. Can't go wrong!

This was one of the worst Thai restaurants I have ever been to. I ordered the Penang curry and it had a awful smell to it, traded it in for their pineapple fried rice hoping for the best but the same funny smell that was in the Penang sauce was in the rice! Very unsatisfied, would not recommend.

They only have one waitress/greeter, but I I promise you it’s worth the little wait at the door when you walk in. Their food is extremely well priced and super delicious!

The food is good. But god forbid they forget your food. This was the most unpleasant and unreasonable responseI have ever seen. After we made them aware that they forgot a meal from our order they accused us of lying! This restaurant is 20 minutes from our house and they wanted us to bring back the entire order (to make sure we weren’t lying?) to get the missing meal! When we went back, (this was a 15$ dish missing, we only went back on principle) they had not even started cooking the missing dish. The missing dish iwoupd have been fine, especially in COVID delivery era but the response we received from the restaurant was unacceptable and very disappointing.

This is my first time ordering/eating thai curry and at this restaurant. I paid $22.25 for dinner panang curry, thai cheese egg rolls, and a thai tea.

The tai tea was too sweet and watered down. ive had thai tea that is thick with tea leaf flavor and creamy and not as sweet that tasted way better.

The egg rolls barely had any filling to them and where so flat instead of how round they usually are at other places.

The panang curry which im most disappointed about, was very watery. Like chicken noodle soup broth consistency. I was expecting a thick creamy curry coconut goodness texture.

All in all im very disappointed and will not be returning. I so badly wanted this food to be great because it's so close to my house.

I specifically requested my pad Thai without fish sauce (I can't tolerate its taste or smell) but they still added the fish sauce. Their dishes are otherwise authentic.

What I received was dry noodles and bits of chicken. Called the restaurant to see about rectifying and receiving the rest of my order, however they were not only very rude, as if their mistake was my fault, they told me that’s how they made pad Thai even though we ordered it directly from their menu. Great Thai place. It is really busy during lunch time as there are a lot of commercial buildings nearby. I really like their food. They provide a complimentary soup as appetizer. If they are out of soup a small side salad is given which is equally delicious. I love their Basil fried Rice with Chicken. They have thai tea ( Tea/Shake ) which is really popular. ( Too sweet for me). This is my go to place for Thai.

I had the pinapple friend rice and the pad Thai (vegetarian version for both) and absolutely loved them. Really good portion size and flavors were on point. Thai tea is also really good. This and Lemongrass are my favorite Thai places in Atlanta. Definitely try them if you like Thai! (Btw would NOT recommend the coconut soup)

Red Elephant is one of the best places to eat Thai. I moved to North Druid Hills but still go to eat at Red Elephant. The food always tastes the same: BEST! Their drunken noodle is the best and love the salad they serve at lunch. I always get my friends or people who come from other states to Red Elephant as I love it so much.

I like thai food. They have a variety of vegetarian option. I like spicy food so I order 4/5 spicy level. It was a little spicy for me (it was more like 5/5 compare to other Thai places). So make sure you know your spicy level. Apart from that good food, fast service and proper pricing.

On a college trip, a group of us walked from the Marriott and it was TOTALLY worth the walk. I got the chicken Kia Siam and it tasted amazing, the plating was elegant, and the staff was nice and polite even though we came in close to closing time.

I like Pad Kee Mow from this place and I tried basil fried rice it was yummy. You can customize the spice levels and they make it so delicious. I love their chicken soup, must try this place if you love thai food.
