Authentic Thai Restaurant with new management team.
The Pad Thai dish at this restaurant is fantastic. The dish was a delightful blend of flavors with a lot of heat, as I requested. If you're a fan of extra spicy food, don’t hesitate to ask for the extra spicy version not listed on the menu.
I got the most spicy version available of the lunch pad Thai. The lunch special is particularly impressive not just for its taste but also for its value. It is priced reasonably and comes with a generous portion. After trying a few other Thai restaurants in Augusta, this place really stands out. Sadly, I had a lot of disappointing Pad Thai, so I am aware of the different ways this dish can be messed up. Issues relating to too much fish sauce, almost zero spice, being too being dry, disappointing Pad Thai sauce, etc, are probably the most common.
Fortunately, this place had none of these problems! This place is one of the few that stands out in my memory of doing a great job with getting the flavor right while still being quite spicy. Overall, this place was remarkable.
Pulled me in from the scent of their kitchen as I was walking by.
Came out piping hot and fresh.
Very generous with the portions!
Dish is the Pad Thai with chicken - extra spice thanks to another reviewer mentioning you can ask for that.
I'd only recommend they expand their choice of music played in the restaurant - I already hear Billie Joel and Maroon 5 everywhere I go, haha.
We’ve eaten here once before and it was good. However, tonight we ordered takeout and it was awful. The portion size was normal but the fried rice tasted weird, the thai red curry lacked flavor and the chicken tasted soapy, even the spring rolls had a weird after taste. Not sure if it was the oil or the dough. I would not be ordering takeout from here again.
This seems like a family run place. Very nice and cozy. Please be kind as this isn’t a fast food place so you food can take time to prep. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai very spicy. I don’t think they believed me lol. I love spicy and could have been just a tad more but still good. I had the lunch special to go so I received a spring roll. The spring roll was really good! I would have liked a bit more for portion size but I think everything and everyone is utilizing smaller portions. Overall great would come back to try my other Thai favs.
Used to love this spot, but this most recent time, I ordered food for pickup and was disappointed. It seems that, in the last few years, their prices have gone up and their portion sizes have been cut in half. I used to spend under $20 for soup and an entree and get enough food for two to be satisfied - now I spent nearly $30 and it was just enough for one. I'm all for getting portion sizes under control, but the cost should be appropriate to make it a good value, and it just doesn't seem that way anymore. Now, don't get me wrong - the food is good, very much so. Quality was fantastic. But the value just doesn't seem to be there anymore - it's about a third more to twice as much as I'd expect for what was received. Might be better to go eat in, and I may try that at some point, but I won't order takeout from them again as I can get more for my money elsewhere.
Every time I come here, it seems like there’s very little urgency with the waiting staff to come up, order my food, and get the food out quickly during lunchtime. I went for dinner last time I came in, and I was right on the verge of leaving because nobody had came in talk to me to even ask for a drink order after about 17 minutes of sitting there
Aside from all that, the food is always delicious!
Good enough for me to start exploring the menu, knowing that it will always be good. If you can show up and be patient, this is a really good spot.
I have been wanting to come to this restaurant for over a year and I am so glad I finally got the chance. Ni Ni was our server and was very helpful. I had the Ped Pad Kra Prow and this was the best duck I think I've ever had. The seasonings were delightful. Plenty of parking and handicap accessible. I really look forward to future meals.

Made Christmas Eve super easy for me. Thanks!
My first experience trying there drunking noodles with shrimp and scallops with meduim heat, was delicious. Very fresh
I have consistently been going here at least once a week but lately the food isn't very favorable and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. The Ladies in front are always smiling and very courteous.

Clean, prompt service. Friendly staff. Great food.
Excellent prices and great customer service
I’ve eaten here and ordered door dash from this restaurant on multiple occasions. Food is always delicious and the staff is extremely friendly and courteous! One of my favorite restaurants to dine at!
Gave 2 tables incorrect orders at 2:50 and said they could not change either parties order because they close at 3:00. Bunch of teenagers wanting to ensure they closed rather than preserve business. Also when challenged, told us to not come back. No worries never darken the door again.
Food was decent. I haven't gone back since the young guy charged me extra for no ice in my thai tea. In his words "no ice, more thai tea"
Pulled me in from the scent of their kitchen as I was walking by.

Fantastic chicken pad tai and cashew tofu, best in Augusta!

Authentic Thai food prepared my Thai family. The food is excellent and prepared in original fashion.
Great noodle dishes, curries, and appetizers with very helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone!
Amazing food taste and quality. 5 star service as well!!

This review is based on the location and take out not the food. Placed an order waited the 30 minutes before picking up. Once I got there the lady behind the counter told me, my food was almost done. Waited another 30 minutes before I decided to leave.
This seems like a family run place. Very nice and cozy. Please be kind as this isn’t a fast food place so you food can take time to prep. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai very spicy. Excellent Asian food in Evans. Dine-in or take-out, my family goes there more than once per month.
I recommend everything on the menu.
We came on a Monday evening. The service was prompt. We ordered appetizers and meals. The beer selection is only 4 different brands, but sufficient for a meal. Same with wine. The food was good and hot when it arrived. I selected tofu which was a tad overcooked, but still acceptable. We had a variety of selected meals in our party of four. Three of us selected the one chili spicy level and one selected the three chili. It was interesting to watch the three chili person sweat throughout the meal. I cannot imagine selecting four or five chili level. This business does a lot of carry out. There is plenty of food served and usually enough for two meals. Overall, a good eating experience.
This was my first experience ever having Thai food. Our waitress was very informed and knowledgeable about everything on the menu, and she made several recommendations that ended up being delicious! She was also very accommodating with any requests we had, such as bringing us a tray of the different spices they use in the curry so I could add a bit more to my dish. The inside is cozy, and the menu is full of pictures so you can easily see what you're ordering. Definitely will be returning!
I got the Panang curry and the flavor was straight but I like my curry thicker.
Best Thai I done had !!!
Nice place for some good Thai food.
Started with the Tom Kha soup and it had the perfect blend of savory and tart. I also went with the Pad Mung Savirat (vegetarian) with a level 4 heat. This was the perfect spice level with the sweet sauce. Well done !
Sitting area is congested and the wait was longer than normal. The food ( chicken and veggie plate) was absolutely delicious.
Ok. Please understand that I simply do not care for Thai food. The fried dumplinga were good! I can eat it, but it is not my favorite. However, the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and on top of caring for customers. I would go here again, but only if it is another going away lunch for a friend like this was.
We had Panang Curry. The food was very good, especially the spring rolls. The staff is very nice.
It has been a couple of years since I ate this restaurant. Always got the red curry chicken to go after my doctor's appointment. It always was amazing! Today I treated my friend to lunch and she checked the menu and ordered the Pad Thai chicken and I ordered my past favorite red curry. We waited quite a bit about 15 minutes and then we got our dishes served to us by our waiter. I started eating and I said well where is my rice that goes with three encourage chicken. Then I looked at her plate and I said "Your plate looks like my red curry chicken and this this doesn't look like red curry chicken." I got the waiter's attention and he came by and let me know. I had the pad Thai and she had the Red curry. He had put the wrong dish to the wrong person. So he said he could redo it but we'd already waited 15 minutes and we were both hungry. So I said no but hope that he would make some compensation for the inconvenience because we had to get a clean plate and I got some of her dish and she got some of mine. Very disappointed in the inconvenience of the meal. When I got my ticket there was no compensation for that. I gave a tip and I wrote on the back of the receipt. I was very disappointed that you didn't do something to make up for us getting the wrong meals. I think he could have just given us a 10% or gave us a small container of the right food to go or something to show that he made a mistake! Very disappointed. Make sure you double check and make sure you have the right dish in front of you
Great food and very friendly staff. Cozy little spot to grab something tasty.
Delicious Thai food! Try the Gaeng Dang.
Excellent dinner today. Love this place!
Delicious. Should have come here sooner
Nice quiet place to enjoy some delicious curry or whatever Thai choices you love. Great service.
The food was soooo delicious! Will definitely be returning!
Love their food, however we drove an hour to eat here. We arrived at 219pm, they close at 3pm, and we were told the kitchen was already closed. How disappointing, and a waste of gas.
I got the Pad Thai, and it was pretty good.
I got the lunch special, and it was plenty.
I ordered mild, and it had just the right amount of spice. It didn't hit you up front, but it did catch you in the back of the mouth. That, I like.
The server was real nice guy. I got things like my tea refilled whenever I needed it.
Gluten free options clearly labeled on the menu. $2 charge for gluten free version of dish. Tasty, fresh, and fast food service
My Thai is a fabulous restaurant, however management must keep published dinner and lunch hours. I’ve gone twice on two consecutive days and I get there before closing and they say the cooks have gone home an hour early, that’s unacceptable. They’ll lose their clientele if they keep this up.
Good food, very expensive. Service is ok. They charge $2.50 for extra rice and $3.50 for potato. I have to grab the menu myself. They need more staff.
This is the best pad Thai I have ever had!
They give you spice level options and choice of meat.
The staff was lovely and the restaurant is small and cozy.
Amazing staff! Even better food!
Good thai food for the area.
I walked in and waited to be seated at the entrance. There is no sign indicating to wait or just pick a table. I dod notice a cart with a lot of used dishes that was blocking the walk walkway. I waited for 10 minutes the owner and the waitress saw me. I made eye contact with both and they still ignored me. They kept on looking on my way and they still didnt even acknowledge me. I was really looking forward in trying out there food. Its unfortunate that my first time here i wasnt even acknowledge. I didnt even get a chance to make a proper review on the food.
This was a fantastic small Thai restaurant. Food was delicious and service was quick. Will be returning.
Great authentic Thai food. My first experience of the kind.
the food was actually like toe dropping good like new fav place. waiter was kinda fine would come back !!!
Service was excellent
Small. clean. Food is fresh and well-prepared. Excellent informal Thai restaurant.
Fantastic Thai food in Augusta Georgia!
Ordered online for pickup for lunch. My order was ready when I picked it up and the owner was so friendly and welcoming when I came in. The food is delicious and seasoned well. I ordered level 2 spicy and it’s just enough spicy for me. The portion was enough to save for dinner at a great lunch price! My first time here and I’ll definitely be back to try more things.
Owner said we did tip here Waitress enough, Very rude of her an waitress, I tip by the Service I receive , Will never Return there , I Tip very well when I received good service , but young waitress was not good.
Good food and decent prices. The people are friendly.
Beautifully cooked food with great spice. I will try more dishes from them. I also loved the small but family-owned feel of the dining room!
The Thai food was really good. We ended up all getting noodles and honestly was thrilled. After ordering, we got our appetizer within 10 minutes and the entrees arrives about 15 after.
The place is not a fancy restaurant and definitely casual but that being said, the menus were new and clean. The furniture was in great shape as well. I would recommend this for togo or for a nice quick bite.
absolutely delicious!!
Really disappointed in Mai Thai this time around. The potatoes in my Massaman chicken were raw. Not edible at all. They are a pretty big component of this meal, so missing them was really disappointing.
Great food. Matt is excellent. Always a great treat.
Curry to watery and plain. Nothing fancy
There was literal dirt on my shrimp that for some reason still had the tail on despite being on a soup. This was after me giving them a second chance when a waitr order had hair in it.
The only reason I gave one star was the servers in front were very sweet. We have tried Mai Thai repeatedly over 10 years, and have been disappointed just about every other time. This visit was the worst. The portions were small, and the food was just not good. There really isn't great Thai food here in Augusta, but the restaurant just down the road is consistently better.
One of my favorite Thai restaurant in Evans. Authentic and their menu has a lot of choices. Service is quick. Not too crowded. Staff are attentive. Price is reasonable.
Very pricey and takeout portions are very small. Food containers are terrible half the sauce spilled inside the bag. Will not buy food from this restaurant anymore.
The food is delicious 😋.
Great food!! Really enjoyed it. Good service.
Food was good. Loved the noodles. Definitely worth it.
Excellent Curry, calm quiet environment. Will go back again!!
Our meal was fantastic!
It's a wonderful place to eat Thai food..
Always great food
Excellent food every time! The gaeng khari chicken is amazing!
Would have loved to try their food, but the person who was at the front desk said he would be right back and never returned to take our order. I'm giving this restaurant 1 star for poor customer service.
Went for lunch on a busy Thursday. Great service even though they seemed short staffed. Food was amazing and great portions for the price.
Everything was very fresh! Shrimp was cooked just right! The shrimp soup was delicious. Fried rice with chicken, and chicken with vegetables. We will definitely be eating here more often
Hmmm on an extended visit from Brooklyn, NY and I gotta say I never had Thai food quite like this.
Service was great, Location is beautiful but the Food is... unique.
Never saw Pad See Ew or Pad Kee Mao with sliced carrots, reg broccoli & celery. Usually it's Chinese Broccoli or Bok Choy. Texture was a little off too, normally extra wide rice noodles are used not the pad thai style ones.
Spice was no where near spicy either.
They have 4 levels, went with 2 on reccomendation, but I think the 4 is actually "reg" level.
Hard to find Thai in Augusta so guess it's good to satisfy a quick craving but not great for a return visit.
Probably my favorite restaurant in town. Great every time.
We just this place as we were walking outside Publix and we never had Thati food for a while so we took the risk and tried it (we usually read reviews first before we try a restaurant). We're glad we did cuz it satisfied our Thai food cravings. Our waiter took good care of us although all of them stayed in the kitchen the entire time. I usually get pad thai from other restaurants and theirs is kinda similar. We will go there again for sure.
I love ordering from this place. All their curries are delicious. Pad thai is really great too.
This is our favorite restaurant in Evans. We eat here at least twice a month. Their Tom Ka is great. We love everything we have tried. So happy that we found this family friendly restaurant!
My favorite place to eat , over fresh delicious
excellent food...love this place...
My "go to" Thai restaurant in town!
The Thai Fried Rice and the Basil Fried Rice were awesome! I’d definitely order that again when I’m in the area. My only complaint is the restaurant is pretty small and cramped. There is no clear direction on where to stand if you’re not dining in. I called and placed a to go order and when I arrived I went to the counter and told the young lady that I had a to go order. She did no ask what I ordered, she went to the back of the restaurant. A guy came out and said if I have a to go order then I should stand up front (there’s a small table in the front corner of the restaurant). So I did that. He proceeded to take care of the dining in customers first and then returned to me to see what I ordered. I believe the food is nice, but I think that customer service can be improved.
Great restaurant with friendly staff. Food is excellent and would highly recommend eating here for lunch or dinner!
My first time eating Thai, and it was Incredible. I ordered a 3 outta 4 for spice and was very pleased. Have now become Thai food lover and look forward to trying many more dishes.
I was disappointed when I got my food delivered. I ordered Lard Nar noodles but it wasn’t a typical and authentic Lard Nar noodles like other Thai places plus found a bug in the noodles made my food appetite gone. I also asked for utensils but none given.
Luckily, food was still hot when I got it and their sweet sticky rice and mango made me feel a bit better.
There’re plenty of good Thai restaurants..I just think that I didn’t pick a good one this time.
The food was spectacular!
Thai cuisine here is Always Absolutely Fantastic! Great place for Thai Food in the Evans, GA area. Do yourself a F(l)avor and Stop by and I promise you Won't be disappointed!
My Wife's new favorite Thai spot in the CSRA!
Good food
Do NOT order delivery. I placed an order for delivery, it allowed me to pay and confirmed my order, delivery location and gave me an ETA window of when to expect my food. The time window was fairly broad, but I waited until it was past the latest time it had given and called, only to be told that they don't deliver and I had to come pick it up. By the time I got the food it had been sitting on their counter for 2 hours and was cold. The workers said something about how drivers don't show up sometimes and if that happens in the future I should order through a different delivery service. I don't know how I was supposed to know my food was just sitting on their counter for 2 hours as they didn't bother to tell me. It would have been nice to at least have gotten some fresh food after waiting that long.
Just not that good. Bland and underwhelming.
Kind of bummed. I’ve eaten here three times and each time it gets worse. The food is never fresh, the Pad Thai is always one big lump of noodles and dry. They do have tofu but finding something vegan on the menu is tough.
Great Thai food.
I'm no Thai food connoisseur, but my first time here the Pad Thai was really bland, they give you lots of noodles but it was almost like they forgot to add the sauce. I ended up adding a custom mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, peanuts, and fish sauce to make it more appetizing... I'll probably stick to Sawasdee Thai in the future, their pad Thai and coconut soup are better at least. Also closer to where I live. This place doesn't seem to be worth the extra drive north.
Great food and staff..
Food was great. One of the better places I've been. Nice staff too. In house seating, and to go orders available.
Superbly Disappointed! Ordered three dishes as the waitress promptly asked on the spice level, we chose 3 out of 4 but when the food came it was as mild as level -1 when asked to make the food spicer we were given wet spice on the side and waitress said owner has advised to mix the spice as much as we need.
I wanted to laugh at this suggestion by the owners but instead paid the bill and left.
Small suggestion to the owners, patrons come out to enjoy food and get value of the money we spend so please try and be respectful
The entree was okay but I probably won't go back. I wanted to order dessert but the staff just ignored my table for almost 30 minutes. I had to walk up to get a box and my check.
Pretty tasty
Food is really good
This was my first time eating here. Actually placed the order online without realizing it was not my normal Thai place. Not sure if it was because it was close to closing or what but the instructions made online were completely ignored. I asked for extra utensils and was given none. I ordered Drunken Noodles with Tofu, Spring Rolls, and Fresh Rolls with Tofu. They were out of Fresh Rolls and replaced with Fried Tofu. The noodles were dry and one large clump. The tofu in the noodles was oily and soggy. The Fried Tofu had been fried entirely to long they were tough like leather. This place is a lot closer to my house so would've been great if it worked out. I'm going to give them a second chance and order earlier in the day and hope I get a better result...if not Mai Thai will be a no for me or anyone who asks about it.
The owner may be Thai, but the cooks sure aren't. Order everything on the maximum spicy-level if you want any flavour. They have a warning on the wall about spiciness, but it is a total fib. There are spicier versions of mayonnaise than what is served at this place.
Never disappointed. Never leave hungry. The one spot my husband and I choose over and over again for dates without the kids. Very quite and calming atmosphere.
Customer service was superb. Food was even better. I'll be back!
Awesome food! Had soup, salad, appetizer, entree, and dessert..all super yummy!!! Will definitely be back. UPDATE: We have already been back on several occasions, and every time it's just getting better and better. Thank you so much for your delicious food and excellent service!
Best Thai food in the area (trust me, we have tried them all)! The pad Thai is delicious, the massaman is good (a tiny bit too sweet for me—I would probably ask them to add pineapple next time around), we also love the nam sod (tangy and spicy) and the mango sticky rice is amazing for dessert! Highly recommend!
It is so incredibly hard to be a vegetarian and try a lot of Asian cuisine because of the likes of fish sauce and Egg but this restaurant goes above and beyond any service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. We ordered our food over the phone and to our surprise we got a call 3 mins later telling us that one of the dishes had fish sauce and that they knew we couldn't eat it. We tried something else and right away he let us know that it was fully vegetarian. I have never been treated with such respect to my vegetarian lifestyle by a restaurant. The server the phone was so kind and collected. He explained everything they could do for our food to ensure it respected our dietary lifestyle. I am beyond impressed with the service and the food! Definitely coming back for more!
Drunken noodles! Can’t be beat.
Best Thai food in the CSRA..service was impeccable...highly recommended
Lovely place, good food!
Went there (September 2020) and expected it to be good. It was the worst pad thai I have ever eaten.
I had the 4star hot....and it was SO NOT spicy.
In fact I thought, they forgot. I asked my friend and she had a 3Star hot....not a bit spicy.
Now the taste: terrible and flavorless.
We were adding salt and anything we could cuz it could have been flavored for heart patients who aren't allowed any flavoring. It was so awful, and 'though I was starving, I threw a good portion of it away.
Rate it 3/10.
The food has an authentic thai flavor. Good and fast service. Great place to eat something different and delicious.
Amazing food, authentic flavor and not oily. The service was also superb for a take out meal! I will definitely eat here again.
My mother is Thai and we usually go to Thai kitchen. Mai thai is more authentic and offer more variety. I ordered pick up and they did a wonderful job with my Pad thai and order. I will definitely order again!
My server was dynamic! I'll be back!
Mai Thai restaurant in Evans, GA is authentic and great food. Period. Even during this Covid pandemic... if you order online thru their website THEY will accommodate YOUR special request for each meal. For example.... “Yellow Curry with chicken & potatoes.... please add peanuts.” DONE. IF an order
Is messed up via Delivery.... they will make it right for the Customer. I can attest to this when a delivery driver did not deliver my food..... Mai Thai made it right.
Amazing food is all I have to say.
Amazing food, spiced to taste!! Service is great! Love this little gem.
Great vegan meal!
Off the lunch menu I ordered the Pad Pak with tofu-vegan and they gladly assured me it would be made without fish sauce or oyster sauce or chicken broth. I asked what other items on the lunch menu could be made vegan and the staff assured me that all of the lunch menu could be made vegan. She advised me if I order the curry to remind the staff that vegan also means no dairy milk. I appreciated the advice, that indicated to me the staff cares about getting the order the way the customer wants!
Nice staff. A cozy restaurant with a comfortable décor. Ample seating. Portions seemed small even for a lunch size. I asked for spicy and it was spicy, maybe even too spicy which is hard to do for me!. I got it to go and it only took about 15 minutes.
It smelled so good when I got it home and we dug in like wild savage animals. So sorry for the half eaten food pics.
We ordered Pad Thai which was perfect!!! Some places I have tried it and it taste like dog food... don’t ask how I know!
We also ordered Thai rice, a curry I could not pronounce, and fresh rolls. And of course Thai tea 😍
Everything was perfection!!!
Best Thai in town! Also the service is great! Everyone is so sweet 🙌🏼
Also kids loved the Pad Thai 👍
Small, personal, good food and prices
Good Thai food! It's a small restaurant but accommodated our large party with no problem. Also available for take-out. Pad Kratiem Prik Thai and Pad Thai was tasty!
Nice clean. A small place but nice
Glad I tried this place. Amazing food, atmosphere, customer service and yeah the food was amazing. In the picture is C6 and c2. Curry with shrimp and pineapple. (Pineapple!? Thought the same thing) but it was great. Really wakes the tastes buds up and something new that blends together and you’ll finish the whole thing or definitely want to take it home.
Good Food
Great service, great food! Clean, quiet establishment. I was thoroughly surprised. 10/10
Since we had such a bad experience "In House", we decided to try your food delivery style this time. That being said, the flavor was good yet off of the curry scale. Heat is not a substitute to flavor. I've had Thai cuisine in Thailand and your food left me wondering... Where was the cilantro, peanuts, coconut milk, curry,... Your squid is compressed imitation crab meat? Dont try to slide that by someone who knows seafood. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. My rating stands the same from my 1st experience years ago.
Great food and wonderful service
Excellent food and service every time! I've been to Mai Thai numerous times and I have tried and loved a different dish on each visit! Definitely recommend Mai Thai to anyone looking for authentic and fresh Thai cuisine.
Yesterday was my first visit to Mai Thai. WOW, Love it!!! The aroma and taste of the food is fantastic. Can't wait to go back. If you want fresh authentic Thai food this is the place for you. Try the sweet tea it's great too.
Best authentic Thai food I've had in this area.
Food was great!
I love this Restaurant. They cook everything in traditional style as same as in Thailand, my country. And I do love sticky rice mango which is the national dessert dish in Thailand. Keep doing this.😘😘
Great Tai food at a great price. The staff is very professional and food is served quickly.
Great food great sevice bit they do need to hire at least one more person during the lunch rush. Our poor waiter was the only one in the dining room taking orders, answering the phone taking care of the register and bringing out the food. He was an excellent waiter but poor guy needed some help.
Excellent authentic Thai food!
Excellent quality and service
Great crispy rolls
Food was overly spicy even for curry to the point of being inedible
My bf treated me here for my birthday loved it
