Overall: 4.7/5 [Delivery]

We ordered delivery, and it was phenomenal! This is the best food we've had delivered in Austin--I can only imagine how incredible it tastes fresh.

Dang! Curry ($14): Spicy coconut curry with a medley of potatoes, roasted onions, and jasmine rice, served with your choice of chicken or fried tofu. The description wasn't too appealing, but since it was a popular item, we gave it a shot and chose chicken for our protein. I'm so glad we did! The curry exceeded expectations--flavorful, yet balanced, without being overly salty or umami-heavy.

Thai Me Down Roti ($9.50): Thai-style fried chicken, spring mix, pickled cucumber, cilantro, red jalapeño peppers, and spicy Thai aioli, all wrapped in a roti--absolute genius! I had high expectations for this, and it did not disappoint. It's filling on its own, but if you're sharing, another appetizer might be a good idea. While great on its own, the dipping sauce takes it to another level. It's the most flavorful sauce I've ever had--you don't need much, and it works as a dip for so many things. Every bite was crispy perfection, from the roti to the chicken. I think about this dish whenever I'm deciding what to order!

Thai Boxing Chicken Wings ($12.50): Five crispy Thai-style fried chicken wings with your choice of sauce: OG Thai seasoning (dry), spicy chili lime (dry), or spicy tamarind (wet). We went with OG Thai seasoning, which seemed to be a mix of salt, pepper, and fried shallot. While decent, the wings didn't stand out like the other dishes. I recommend dipping them in the chili sauce they come with for extra flavor.

The Lost Recipe With Fried Chicken ($14.50): Thai-style fried chicken served with Mom's ginger rice, pickled cucumber, and sweet chili sauce. This was better than the wings but didn't quite compare to the roti. The portion seemed a bit smaller than the other items. The chicken was only slightly crispy when we ate it, but that may be because I tried it last.

Spicy Tamarind Sauce ($0.75): This sauce was amazing mixed with rice.

I cannot wait to try their Killer Noodles, Old School Pad Thai, Ka Pow Street Style, and Creamy Curry Crab next!

WOW! So good!!!

Diner Review №3

Delicious fried chicken and pad Thai! Loved the dipping sauce

Diner Review №4

Highly recommend. We ordered take out. Definitely get the Rip and Dip Roti. I recommend getting two. We wished we had gotten 1 more. The sauce…omg the sauce. The egg rolls were just ok. We’ve had better spring rolls at other Thai places. The killer noodles were bomb. It was super spicy but delicious and my partner loved the pad Thai.

Diner Review №5

This place is so good. First off, the service was impeccable. Lori was one of the kindest people you will meet. She was so patient and helpful with our many questions. The roti was perfect. It reminded me of my year in Singapore devouring roti prata and gaining much weight. The killer noodles were so good. Warning. They are very spicy, but the flavors are amazing. And the curry we got. Well, my wife couldn’t stop smiling as she ate it. And she eats real slow. So she smiled for a long time. She said it was one of the best curries she had in her life. Thank you Lori and the crew. We are so thankful you guys moved down here and worked so hard to make this dream a reality.

Chicken was fire

Diner Review №7

This was my first time having Kiin Di and it is absolutely AMAZING. It’s been on my list for a while, but I definitely will be coming again. One of the best Thai places I’ve had in Dallas and Austin. My food was warm, still crispy, packaged well. The workers were so kind and sweet. I hope they open a sit down restaurant or start a franchise!!

Diner Review №8

It’s been a rough day on top of having the flu for the first time and all I needed was some pad thai to set things right. And oh my god did it save me. Amazing flavor, amazing noodles, amazing everything. Thank you so much! I can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

Diner Review №9

The Killer Noodles are killer.

Diner Review №10

Really good food, very low key spot and a great hidden gem, will always stop by again when I’m in Austin. Highly recommend the Thai Me Down and Killer Noodles

Diner Review №12

Wow, wow, wow!!! The best Thai food in Austin, Texas, hands down! Everything we ordered was amazing. The texture of the food was spot-on, even though it was takeout. We tried the Chicken Pad Thai, Dang! Curry, and OG Thai Boxing Chicken Wings, and this will definitely be my go-to Thai spot. You can't imagine how fresh the food is—the chicken was perfectly cooked, the flavors of the Pad Thai noodles were like a delicious work of art, and the Dang! Curry is a masterpiece of flavor. It's the perfect blend of amazing, spicy, well-balanced flavors. It exceeded my expectations!

Diner Review №13

One of the south Austin food trucks that keeps me coming back. The Thai Me Down Roti & coconut curry are both very good! The tofu curry could use more veggies but the broth is tasty & a good portion size. The people who work here are so friendly.

Diner Review №14

Had the Dang! Curry with tofu for the first time last night and it’s now my favorite. The roasted onions are so good!! If you like a spicy, flavorful curry, definitely try this!!

The Dang! Curry is sooooo good! Perhaps my favorite curry in Austin!

Diner Review №19

Orgasmic quality food. SO good some of the best thai i’ve actually had. would definitely recommend 100%

Diner Review №20

Diner Review №21

Roti was super undercooked. It was largely raw.

Diner Review №22

Kiin Di is the best Thai food we’ve had in Austin in a long time.

This is our second time to visit their food truck and it was as enjoyable the second time around as it was the first.

Last time, we ordered (in order of preference) the Thai boxing OG chicken wings, fried chicken Lost Recipe, killer noodles, crab curry, and dang chicken curry. This time around, we ordered the chicken wings again, pad Thai, and the curry. Everything we ordered was fantastic and tasted amazing! The fragrances and spices are done so well in all of their dishes.

The value and quality proposition make Kiin Di completely worth it! I highly recommend!

Diner Review №23

Best Thai in Austin!! LOVE the Thai me down roti. The staff is sooo kind 🧡

Diner Review №24

I happen to stumble upon this place, but it's been there for a while. They don't have too much in their menu but everything we tried was amazing. We definitely had our favorites though:
The lost recipe is a must have. We ended up buying another one to go.
Creamy curry crab was delicious (not in picture).

I want to come back and try the rest.

Diner Review №25

Chicken and flatbread are fantastic. Spring rolls, noodles and the crab are also great. I think they will become a restaurant!

Diner Review №26

The food was pretty delicious and quick, too. Despite there being a line and other people waiting, we all got our food relatively quick. For once, I found some pad thai that didn't taste like over saturated ketchup. Recommend to your friends!

Diner Review №27

Their crispy soft crab curry is so good it melts in your mouth and the flavor of coconut milk makes you want to devour your soul into it! The Thai me Down roti is my all time favourite thing to order from Kindii for its surprising flavours! Thai boxing chicken wings dipped in the tamarind sauce is also really good if you’re into crispy wings!

Diner Review №28

We absolutely adore Kiin Di, we’ve come here for many years now, have celebrated anniversaries here and also the birth of our youngest.
We will most likely continue to come here as we enjoy the amazing food they prepare and the kindness they always exhibit to our children.

I wish I took pictures but this is some of the best food I've had in Austin in my over 3.5 years here.

Pad Thai was unreal, fried chicken was out of this world, the roti was some of the best I've had and the curry was also lights out. Nothing was sub par. Perhaps the surprise of the night was just got good the ginger rice was, do not miss!

Picked up takeout around 5 min before they closed on Friday night via UberEats (I really wish they had their own online ordering to save themselves money and have their own branded experience).

DO NOT MISS!

Diner Review №33

Delicious food and friendly service. The Killer Noodles were very good with great seasoning and spice at a very reasonable price.

Diner Review №34

Diner Review №35

The best Thai foods in Austin!

Diner Review №36

Diner Review №37

Ordered the Dang! Curry and the Roti for delivery. So good! I was tempted to get the Killer Noodles because other reviewers raved about them, but was in the mood for curry. I did not regret my decision. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I will definitely order from here again. Highly recommend!!

Diner Review №38

Killer noodles is a most. Wings taste amazing. But the damm Curry was absolutely the best item

Diner Review №39

Diner Review №40

Creamy curry crab is very good also the Thai lemonade is super refreshing would recommend a try

Diner Review №41

Diner Review №42

My most favorite spot in Austin

Diner Review №43

Diner Review №44

BEST AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD IN TOWN! We got the “Dang curry chicken” it was 10/10 and the “Ka Pow” street style also 10/10 so much flavor! WOW. The curry chicken is spicy but definitely not overwhelming and is just right.

Diner Review №45

i got soft shelled crab with egg curry sauce! portion size was pretty nice - there were a lot of crab meats. the sauce was quite salty though. you’d need to eat it with a lot of rice, more than what they give you (extra rice is $3 which is a bit high tbh) to be able to finish the crabs. they probably used 2 crabs for the dish? not sure but there were a lot of crabs. i wish they give more garnishes or veggies to go with the dish because the sauce does get very heavy. you have to indicate online that you want utensils.

atmosphere wise, it wasn’t a big seating area imo. i came on a very rainy day.

overall, would i come back for the crabs? maybe, the saltiness does hold me back a bit though.

Diner Review №46

My favorite place in Austin

Diner Review №47

Great food truck. It was rainy and they were still really busy with to-go orders. I would recommend ordering ahead. Parking seemed limited. Limited covered seating is available.

My favorite dish was the killer noodles. It’s very similar to pad krapow but with noodles instead of rice. Very flavorful with an appropriate amount of spice. The lost recipe with chicken was also excellent. My player 2 voted the chicken wings as her favorite. I would return to try other dishes.

Diner Review №48

This Thai street food truck is consistently excellent and a truly special offering. Thank you!

Diner Review №49

Food truck next to a bar with picnic tables and fans with misters. Currently plenty of parking (June 2024), until the TacoDeli opens at least. The food is phenomenal, had the Killer Noodles and will be back again for them, they've got a kick so people sensitive to heat should pick something else. I also ordered the Thai Tea Lemonade and the regular Thai Tea and both were delicious. Service was fast on a fairly busy Sunday, food in about 12 minutes.

Diner Review №50

Diner Review №51

Soooo good - amazing fried chicken too

Diner Review №52

Worth the hype. Meat was perfectly cooked (pork belly in Killer noodles and the chicken). Every dishes were so flavorful

Diner Review №53

Awesome food, especially loved their roti and gray

Diner Review №54

Absolutely loved the killer noodles and dang curry! Was packed with so much flavor. Cannot wait for the next visit.

Diner Review №55

My daughter and I spontaneously decided to take the drive here to grab dinner. It’s out of our way for us but we decided to go try it as I have heard good things. My niece said it was the best Thai food she’s ever eaten. We ordered 4 dishes and they were all great. The fried chicken and killer noodles were the standout. The service was friendly and wonderful. One of the ladies came out to chat with us which was sweet and she seemed so grateful for our business. It was awesome food and overall a fun experience. Love small businesses in Austin and this one is a must try!

Diner Review №56

One of the best Thai food places in Austin!
If you are nearby you must try the food.
Everything is delicious! We ate food so fast that we forgot to take pictures.
We will definitely return.

Diner Review №57

Yes, absolutely the best

Diner Review №58

Diner Review №59

Food is definitely delicious! One of my fav food trucks in Austin. Can go inside the bar but outside tables have lots of flies

Diner Review №60

BIG flavor bomb.

Diner Review №61

Diner Review №62

Killer noodles and fried chicken 😍

Diner Review №63

Diner Review №64

I just ate here today (3/21/2024), this is some of the best food I’ve had since moving to Austin ( I have been here for 2 years. Never had Thai food before but kiin dee has definitely made me a fan! And to top it off I ordered one killer noodle to find they put an extra one in there, free of charge ! Not sure if this was accident or not but I appreciate it! Sooooo good highly recommend.

Diner Review №65

This is some damn good Thai food. Highly recommend the rice dishes, their ginger rice is exploding with flavor. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. And very affordable

Diner Review №66

Sooo good! It’s my new favorite Thai food truck. The service was friendly and fast despite how busy they were. I had the Killer Noodles while my friend had and shared some her Roti, and Thai Boxing Wings. Everything was hot, delicious, full of layers flavor and great textures! Highly Recommend!

Diner Review №67

Not worth the hype ! 14$ for some ramen ! Quantity is way less than thought

Diner Review №68

Diner Review №69

Interesting n fascinating. The noodles where spicier than I expected though I still ate on n mixed with the egg yolk helped ease the temp. The pork fried belly was crispy yet juicy.

Diner Review №70

Fire Thai spot

Diner Review №71

Just tried this place for the first time and it was SO good! To be fair, I don’t go to north austin often but some of the best Thai I’ve had in south austin alongside 888 and 1618 Asian fusion. We got the noodles which were the best thing we tried. SO flavorful. The lost recipe with chicken - sauce was so good, rice was cooked perfectly. Plus the roti and the egg rolls which were also good - again the sauce, very tasty.

Actually shocked this place doesn’t have more reviews, feel like it’s a little tucked away on south lamar but highly recommend if you are considering it!

Diner Review №72

Saw Kiin Di listed on a “Top 100 Places to Eat in the US” list and knew I had to try it - needless to say, it absolutely earned its spot on that list! Every dish we got was a show stopper with the Spicy Noodles being the crowned jewel. We also got the Lost Recipe with chicken, roti, and egg rolls - I would (and will) absolutely get all of these again. The people at the truck were very friendly and helpful!
The only thing I think could be improved is to keep ready food warmer while it’s waiting to be picked up, but food was so fantastic that I honestly didn’t even mind. Can’t wait to go back!!

Diner Review №73

We got the soft shell crab curry (very good), roti (definitely not worth the price or getting), chicken wings (very good), and ka prow (very spicy but not a lot of flavor definitely recommend getting a sauce and pouring it over).

Diner Review №74

This place probably would be better if the food hadn't sat for 15+ min after it was made. They ask you to order online, but don't text or notify you when the order is ready. We found this out the unfortunate way by waiting 15 min after the estimated time the receipt said it would be ready, to then go up and ask and find our food just sitting there. It was barely warm at this point and everything fried was mushy.

The flavors overall were good. The pad thai was too fishy for me, but if you're into that flavor I'm sure it's good.

Diner Review №75

We accidentally found this one and luckily the food is so delicious! The best Thai food I have ever eaten so far. Highly recommend it!

Diner Review №76

Kiin-di is one my favorite restaurants in Austin. The quality and serving size is sooo affordable! It’s a great low key date night getting some food at Kiin-di while having a drink at Corner Bar. Highly recommend!!!

Diner Review №77

New favorite Thai place in Austin, hands down! The curry and roti are amazing

Diner Review №78

Absolute 10/10. Hands down the best Thai in austin and it’s not particularly close. Dang curry, lost recipe, rip n dip roti, all elite. 0 misses on the menu

Diner Review №79

Diner Review №80

Amazing Thai food. Quite possibly the best I’ve ever had, anywhere.

Diner Review №81

Definitely one of the better spots to grab some thai food from. Pad thai was tasty, tangy, and had a subtle sweetness. The broccoli dish and their spicy noodles were alos front page. There's some picnic tables out front if you want to sit and stay. I would recommend giving them a try.

Diner Review №82

Diner Review №83

I found this place in TikTok I really like it this is my 2nd time don't forget to orders somenextra side sauces I definitely highly recommend it! 😃

Diner Review №84

Diner Review №85

We ordered takeout from their website which was super easy and straightforward. We got several things because our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! Everything was delicious, with plenty of leftovers for later! Food wasn’t very spicy but I’m sure you could ask for more spice if you’re looking for that. Also the Gai Tod and The Lost Recipe are seemingly the same chicken just with different sauces, so I wouldn’t recommend getting both. I put 4 stars for atmosphere because there were flies around the picnic tables outside the truck so I’d recommend taking the food home if you can. Wasn’t a big deal though, just a small nuisance.

Diner Review №86

Whoa...the Crab curry is next level. Everything was delicious, I will be trying other items!

Diner Review №87

Their ginger rice is delicious with very crispy chicken

Diner Review №88

Diner Review №89

Great food! Saw this on tiktok and decided to try it out, definitely worth it!

Diner Review №90

What a great meal!! Really enjoyed it

Diner Review №91

Some of the best Thai food we’ve had!

Diner Review №92

Place was easy to find. They are also close with one food truck and a beer hub. So if you like eating food with alcohol this place is a really nice choice. The spot was cozy and a good hangout place.

The staff were nice and patient, especially it was our first time in this place and there’s a lot of good choices.

We end up ordering Lemonade Thai Tea, Fried Noodles, Spring rolls, and Curry Crab.

We enjoyed every sip of the Lemonade thai tea, if you like a tea taste with your lemonade you will enjoy this. Fried Noodles came with big portion of pork and egg - it was a good combination and the taste complimented. Curry Crab was something I truly enjoyed especially if you are a seafood person. The spring roll was okay but the dip made a difference.

Overall the place, staff, and food hit all the good spot!

Diner Review №93

kiin di certainly lives up to all the hype, slinging some pretty darn tasty thai food. if you ask for it spicy, they are gonna make it spicy, which is awesome if that’s what you are craving. my one minor issue was that it felt like our dishes were a bit on the sweet side, but that could just be personal preference. be prepared to hunt for parking, but that’s just how it goes, don’t let it deter you!

Diner Review №94

The best Thai food in Austin. This food truck is the real deal. Authentic Thai food at a affordable price. Pro tip: grab your food and order a drink at Corner Bar.

Diner Review №95

Spicy piece of heaven ♥️

Diner Review №96

I stumbled upon the culinary gem that is Kiin Di, thanks to a captivating YouTube video showcasing Austin’s finest food trucks in the “Best Food Ever” series. Kiin Di, specializing in Thai cuisine, instantly caught my attention and beckoned me to embark on a delightful culinary adventure.
My preferred choice on the menu is the remarkable Dang Curry, a dish that never fails to tantalize my taste buds. While the option of tofu is available, I often opt for the succulent chicken, a decision I cherish for its use of tender, white meat. The curry sauce, a true masterpiece, dances with rich and complex flavors, showcasing a symphony of taste. Within its comforting embrace, you’ll discover a harmonious blend of peppers, onions, and potatoes. To amplify the experience, I consistently request a side of chili oil, adding a delightful kick of heat to it. A companion to this exquisite dish is the Rip Dip Roti bread. The Roti’s exterior has a satisfying crispness that gives way to a delightfully chewy interior. Served alongside the same curry sauce that graces the Dang Curry, it’s a tantalizing combination that has become a cherished ritual. In fact, I’ve been visiting Kiin Di almost religiously, making it a bi-weekly pilgrimage for the past few months. Beyond the exceptional food, the team at Kiin Di stands out for their warmth and friendliness. Furthermore, their commitment to helping those in need shines through with their participation in the Dine with Maui event, where a portion of their proceeds supported the Maui Food Bank. It’s truly impressive to witness such generosity from a small business. If you’ve been contemplating a visit, let this serve as your sign to seize the opportunity. Kiin Di promises an unforgettable culinary journey that will leave you yearning for more. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Diner Review №97

Roti, pork belly, and crab were good. Noodles and curry were just okay, had too many onions for my preference, and needed some other veggies.

Diner Review №98

Diner Review №100

Diner Review №101

Hands down best thai food in US.
Amazing food, authentic taste. The food is super spicy and brings your taste buds back to life. We love every item here, especially killer noodles is a must try. Parking can be a bit tricky, they prepare to-go on time, if you pre-order the day before you will be lucky to get early pick up slots

Diner Review №102

🔥

Diner Review №103

Move over Thai Fresh… you’ve got some competition. Kiin Di’s Dang! Curry blew my hair back. Originally the massaman at TF was my go to, but I think I’m converted. And Kiins prices are too good.

Great new spot plus drinks next door!

Diner Review №104

Fast, delish, and relatively affordable. Everything's tasty. Don't skip this place.

Diner Review №105

i’ve had some tasty thai food in austin but i haven’t had the best until kiin di came along. the pad thai is absolutely delicious. it’s always the right traditional flavor and never dry. dang! curry is perfectly spicy and easily 2-3 meals in one. i’ve tried the lost recipe with fried chicken + coconut pork and it’s really amazing. thai me down roti isn’t bad but it’s not my go-to. their egg rolls is the only real bummer for me. they are tiny and barely have any filing in them, so they taste like nothing. i really want to give kiin di five stars but i really hope they’ll edit the egg roll recipe!

We went here and it was so good we went back the next day to try more items on the menu.

Everything we had was delicious and some of the Best Thai we’ve had in Austin!

We’ve tried many of the best food trucks in Austin and Kiin Di is one of our favorites!

It has picnic tables available outside and is conveniently located next to a bar that you can go inside to eat at a table, have a beer and cool off in the AC.

There’s also a good bbq truck next to kiin Di if anyone’s in the mood for Brisket!

Diner Review №109

10/10! If you haven’t stopped by Kiin Di you are missing out on the BEST Thai food in Austin and dare I say I’ve ever tasted. The ladies behind the food truck are amazing at not only cooking delicious Thai dishes (the Killer Noodles and Pad Thai are my personal favorites), but they truly care about their customers. Do not sleep on this place! There are picnic tables out front and a bar if you need ac! Trust me when I say it’s worth the drive if your an out of towner! Don’t miss this place to eat tourists- it’s a must on the ATX trip!

Diner Review №110

Kiin Di has treated us so great. We came here the day before our second child’s birth. We came the week after and have kept on coming. Today 6/4/23 they prepared plain noodles for my extremely picky oldest, he is eating them and we are so relieved he’s eating something other than chicken nuggets.

Diner Review №111

OUTSTANDING food! Some of the best Thai I’ve had in Austin. The killer noodles were perfectly spicy (made my nose run but wasn’t painful) umami and indulgent - I ate the entire dish with no leftovers to be seen. I was blissed out the entire meal. It’s so dang good. I truly can’t wait to order again.

Just 1 word “DELICIOUS.”

Diner Review №114

Diner Review №115

My go-to comfort food is Thai food & it's not easy in Austin to find a spot that delivers on every item I've ordered. Sap Ver's Num Tok is my favorite but my next day thoughts on Kiin Di's delivery last night prompted me to write a review. I love a SPICY good curry, noodle dishes, fried rice & Thai tea. So I ordered the B4 Ka Pow Street Style a step above middle of the road spicy & the Dang! Curry with Chicken along with Iced Tea. The Ka Pow was fantastic - the ground beef was flavorful, tangy & perfectly spicy with a smattering of basil leaves and sliced peppers with some cucumbers to cool the heat off with. The white rice was steamed to perfection - not crunchy or dry. Now for the curry - omg. I have yet to find a curry in Austin that isn't watery and this was what I've been looking for. It was a perfect gravy-like consistency and really flavorful. I loved the whole onion and the potatoes that were clearly roasted prior to being added to the curry giving it a different texture/flavor and a level of attention that made this so dang delicious. I'll add that I requested one level above middle spicy and it wasn't overly spicy or typical Thai hot spicy. I could go a level above that and be fine. The Thai Tea was also anything but watery and had a great flavor. All in all - this is my new go-to when I am okay with waiting for a long delivery time given I'm in East Austin and this is a bit of a trek for delivery. Super impressed and can't wait to try their other dishes. Hope these guys keep delivering and open a brick & mortar down the road.

Diner Review №122

Everything we tried was amazing. Went with a couple of friends and we all said its the best thai food truck in the city. Also outside seating means dog friendly!

Diner Review №123

This is my new go to Thai spot, the crab dish was my favorite, it had so much flavor and was so crunchy. The noodles with pork belly were also amazing

Diner Review №124

At this point I’ve tried everything on the menu 😭
My favorite dish was the coconut pork

Diner Review №125

Ordered the food beforehand and it was ready for pickup on time. Great food. Spice is strong for certain dishes.

Diner Review №126

This is authentic and delicious! The workers are always a treat! Food is made fresh and is hot when I get home with it, only down side is they are not open 7 days a week but that does add to my craving it so often, that I’ll wait days just to have it!

Diner Review №127

I crave this food. A+++

Diner Review №128

Everything about the killer noodles was 10/10. The pork, the egg and the noodles were all perfection. Can’t wait to come back. Staff was super friendly as well! Great prices too for the quality.

Diner Review №129

It’s Thai die for!!

Everything we had was mind-blowingly good. Big portions, super tasty, and the spicy dishes had a great kick to them. Will be back!

Diner Review №130

Very friendly staff and delicious food. I thought the fish sauce on the pad Thai was a little strong but highly recommend the killer noodles, fried wings and the lost recipe. So delicious I had it twice in one week.

Diner Review №131

We ordered the Thai Me Down, Soft Shell Crab Curry and the Dang! Curry, and all of the food was delicious! We spent about $45 after tipping, which was a little pricey in my opinion for the portion of food, but at this rate, what place in Austin isn't? Overall, the atmosphere was nice and the food was filling between two people.

Diner Review №132

Fantastic food! The dang curry, killer noodles and pork all came in hefty portions and were delicious. We waited a while since it was a Friday night and they were kind enough to give us an extra Thai tea on the house for waiting! I will definitely return

Diner Review №133

Thought my friends and I would check this place out due to the good reviews and media exposure. The place had friendly service and the Thai tea was great. My only issue with this place is most of the dishes we ordered lacked a heavy flavor profile. Pad Thai was a on the sweeter side because of the tamarid, the wings were over cooked. The one thing I enjoyed were the killer noodles. Wish this place would be more consistent with their flavors and food.

Diner Review №134

probably my fave thai place in austin. absolutely divine. the wings are INSANEEEEE and the portions are so big! we ordered 1 app and 2 entrees and it was so much food we had leftovers.

Diner Review №135

Great Thai food. I had the pad krapow which was dense and flavorful, if a bit salty. I also had the gai tod which was a little dry but still packed a good taste. I really liked the touch of having a curry as a dipping sauce, way better than the common aiolis or other sauces that come with fried chicken.

Diner Review №136

Beware: Killer noodles are fire! Food was fantastic!!! Great feeling to be alive!

Diner Review №137

I tried Kin Di yesterday for Thai food after seeing it on a brand new episode of the Best Ever Food Review Show about Austin food trucks. I got the Dang! Curry (Spicy coconut curry, baby potatoes, roasted onions served with jasmine rice with Fried Tofu) and the Rip and Dip Roti (Two flaky, buttery flatbreads served with turmeric curry sauce). The curry came with steamed rice. The curry flavor was really good. Could have used a little more heat though. The roti was excellent. The dip was the same sauce as my curry so it was kind of pointless. I was disappointed the rice was undercooked. That’s the easy part of this meal maybe a choice of rice or noodles would be nice. Also a heat level choice for the curry.

Diner Review №138

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!!!
I live in San Antonio and made the trip up to Austin yesterday, with some family, to do some shopping (Austin has the nearest H Mart lol). I saw this place advertised on TikTok, so wanted to give this place a try, and boy were my expectations exceeded! We decided to try their Lemonade Thai Tea, Killer Noodles, Pad Thai and Dang Curry. Everything is made to order but our wait time was only about 15 min. The Tea was sucked down while waiting on our food...it was sweet and delicious. The Killer Noodles and Pad Thai were packed with so much flavor and had a nice kick. I've had the hardest time finding a good Pad Thai, so they might have just become my favorite. The star of the show was that Curry though. I have NEVER been a curry person, but they will make me convert. The spices they used in that sauce were so good, we ended up just mixing everything together.
Speaking on the service, the nice lady who took my order, greeted me and everyone who came up to the truck with such warm hospitality. When my food was ready to be picked up, she gave me a complimentary regular Thai Tea to try. It was so refreshing and I drank it all on my way back to town.
Please keep in mind, the parking situation is quite small and gets packed during rush hours, but I would say it's worth it. All in all, I loved my experience here and may need to start saving to come here each weekend 🥰🥰

Loved it. Prepare for a long wait in the evenings

Diner Review №141

the chicken was lovely and crispy, even with sauce coating it, but unfortunately it wasn't very spicy. however, the ginger rice had wonderful flavor and was cooked perfectly!

Diner Review №142

I’ve been coming here since October 2021 and I can still say Kiindi is sooo DELICIOUS! Their Dang Curry (level 4 spice level) is absolutely amazing. Spicy yet full of flavor. I took some to my mom and sis to try and they devoured it. We also love to add lime to ours too!

Their Roti and Thai Tea is also very very good. Be expected to wait about 45+ on weekends BUT it’s definitely worth the wait. Staff is super kind too🫶 Prices are very good too for the amount of food you get.

Diner Review №143

I tried the Pad Thai; the noodle of the pad thai has great texture, but the sauce they toss the noodles in is too strong for my taste. The pad thai sauce they use is very fish-sauce-y, in both the smell and taste. Moreover, the sauce is rather thick, and coats your mouth, somewhat overpowering the more subtle flavors.

The pad thai wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't suit my taste. I would've preferred a more sour pad thai, but if you're a fan of a slightly sweeter, stickier pad thai, then this is definitely a must try.

Tried the Ka Pow. Super fresh and the rice is very aromatic and fragrant. I expected something more, something more authentic, not that it isn’t. A little too sweet to my taste and it missed a bit on the thai spices.
Otherwise, it’d be perfect!

Good portions. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes.

Excellent Asian food.
Good fusion of Texas and Asia.

Diner Review №149

Descent food, extremely long wait. Took over an hour and was not made aware before ordering. They’re also preparing food in random order and not in the order people paid. Ridiculous

Diner Review №150

Best Thai food in Austin! The prices are reasonable too. Better quality food than Thai Fresh, and better prices too. Thank you Kiin Di!

Diner Review №151

Delicious! If you are in the need for a warm loving food that will make you feel at home try this place 😮‍💨
Loved “the lost recipe with fried chicken 🐓”
Plus awesome people that runs it

Diner Review №153

Authentic flavors that pack a punch. Will be back to try more.

Diner Review №154

This food truck has one of the better Pad Thai’s in Austin: full of flavor, not overly sweet and the noodles aren’t over-cooked like most Pad Thai’s. Their Thai fried chicken has a crisp batter that pairs well with a tamarind base sauce. Drizzle the lemon on top and ask for some chili on the side to balance out the grease. (Call 15min ahead and lower your wait time)

Diner Review №155

Legit Thai food made with care ⭐️
We had the Pad Thai, Dang Curry and Rip & Dip Roti. Everything was amazing. Definitely will be back for more.

Diner Review №156

Great food. Hopefully price don’t increase and portion don’t decrease in future.

Very tasty Thai food. Delighted to have discovered this new gem and their food pairs nicely with all of Corner Bar's offerings!

Diner Review №159

The best Thai food in Austin and the best service in Austin. The staff pay attention and actually care about your meal and your experience, highly recommended!!!!!

Diner Review №160

I don't usually leave reviews, but the lady that worked there was soo sweet. On top of that, the food is really good. I had the pad thai. Highly recommend!!

Diner Review №161

Kiin Di has been a beloved favorite of mine since the first time I had dined with them. They’re a local food truck serving Thai and Malaysian inspired food and easily serve some of the most flavor packed food in Austin. Because of the fact they’re working in a food truck with limited space, the food can only come out so fast. However I can guarantee the wait is worth it.

This time I ordered The Lost Recipe with coconut grilled pork, the Rip & Dip roti, and their Thai tea lemonade. However I’ve tried all of their food items before and have never been disappointed.

The Lost Recipe features coconut ginger rice, their house made pickles, and a delicious Thai chili dipping sauce. Their in-house pickled cucumbers are extremely tasty and a must have item that balances out that intense flavors of their other dishes exceptionally well.

The roti comes out hot and flaky with plenty of layers that soaks up the curry sauce that comes with it.

Lastly, the Thai tea lemonade is a drink that fans of the Arnold Palmer can’t leave without trying. I guarantee you’ll be hooked and can’t leave without a cup or two.

Overall I’ve never left Kiin Di anything but extremely satisfied with their food. Everything I’ve eaten from their main entrees, to drinks, to even the small pickled side items have been extremely tasty. I would happily recommend anyone in the south Austin area or southeastern food lovers to check this place out and be patient, since the food has been worth it every time.

Diner Review №162

We love this place!! Delicious food and great service! Their food really hits the spot if you are craving really tasty or really spicy. They make a great effort to present the food beautifully as well. Arm, Bee, and all the ladies that work there are so friendly and make the whole experience even better. There are picnic tables so you can settle in with friends and grab some beers from Corner Bar to cool off those taste buds!

Diner Review №163

My go to Thai spot in Austin—they effectively fed me 3 times a week. Wonderful owners, great food, reasonable prices. Their weekend monthly specials are amazing and inspired me to learn more about Thai food.

Diner Review №164

This place is wild. Very delicious food. Try the killer noodles. Very spicy, as it should be. Don’t complain about spice if you are a fool. Fried pork belly cooked to perfection.

Corner bar is very good too. As is browns next door: the trifecta

Diner Review №165

Food was delicious! Portions were pretty large. They ran out of pork for my Lost Recipe since we got there towards the end of the night but they were super nice about it and gave me some free egg rolls! It also gave me an opportunity to try the fried chicken which was very tasty - I love the sauces they offer.

Diner Review №166

At this point I've tried everything on the menu and it is all AMAZING! We come here at least once a week and never get tired of it even with the somewhat small menu- my boyfriend said the katsu chicken in the lost recipe is some of the best he has ever had! And I wish I had a constant supply of the ginger rice at all times

Diner Review №167

Food was good but please provide better forks. They are super brittle and it’s almost like they were edible(they are plastic though). Get better forks please🙏🏼

Diner Review №168

I wanted to try everything on the menu, it looked so good. This place is next to a bar so makes it convenient to grab some drinks while you wait for your food.

We got the thai boxing wings, killer noodles and lost recipe with fried chicken. The food tasted fresh and it was delicious. The wings were crispy and it came with a nice dipping sauce. The noodles were my favorite and couldn't stop binging on them. The crispy egg with it is amazing. The chicken in lost recipe was crispy and juicy. The lost recipe is supposed to come with ginger rice but it was bland and felt like plain rice.

Additionally we got the curry sauce on the side and it made a great dripping sauce. Look forward to trying their curry and roti next time

Diner Review №169

Great place to get a fix of Thai street food. Everything is flavorful and great! Order ahead is recommended.

Diner Review №170

Amazinggg food! Hurts that I did not discover it earlier. Will be back over and over and over again! Keep it up!

Diner Review №171

Best Thai food in Austin! A few favorites are the roti, killer noodles and egg rolls. This is a must try!

Diner Review №172

We love this place, probably my favorite food truck in Austin. Our favorites are the Thai me down roti and the killer noodles, so good…

Diner Review №173

Highly recommend Kiin Di. So often am I disappointed with my Door Dash orders, but to my very pleasant surprise this place knocked it out of the park. I ordered it again for dinner lol. Best Thai food I've had in awhile.

Diner Review №174

Best spicy Thai food in Austin

Diner Review №176

everything is delicious EVERYTHING

Diner Review №177

Good food, sit down restaurant pricing. For some reason the minimum recommended tip is 18%. Good food but don’t like that forced tipping for a to go order. Will take 25-30 mins as well

Diner Review №178

I greedily ordered the whole menu to try a little of everything... Loved it all.

Diner Review №179

Fantastic Thai food. Great service. Convenient location in front of the Corner Bar.

Diner Review №180

Food was not anything to write home about. The noodles were overcooked mush and the rice was hard and stale like it had been sitting out for a while which was unusual because we waited for 45 minutes for our food only to be told they were out of rice and had to make more. The person working the front took the alarm stick from me and was rude when I didn't know my number which apparently was on the alarm. The only reason I knew that she was making gestures when I turned away was that my father was watching her do it.

Diner Review №181

My bf & I had dinner here last weekend & it was SO GOOD. The killer noodles were freakin' bomb!! The ramen was cooked perfectly, the sauce was to die for, & the runny yolk was made just right 👌 I loved their Thai tea, as well as their incredible mango sticky rice ice cream 😍 My bf doesn't eat much sweets, but he said, "This was the best ice cream experience of my life." We cannot wait to come back to try the rest of their menu!!

Diner Review №182

Fantastic food, great service, great prices. The Rip and Dip Roti with the yellow curry is for sure my favorite!!

Diner Review №183

Very authentic and flavorful! Food was fresh and delicious!

Diner Review №184

Seriously 👍 the BEST authentic Thai. I ordered Crispy egg roll, Thai boxing chicken wings, Dang Curry and The lost recipe. You guys need to find this gem😋like OMG

Diner Review №185

We had the pad Thai and it was delicious ! We also had the Thai tea lemonade. You could really taste and see all the ingredients. If you like spicy make sure you ask. We paid about $17pp including drink.
Great outdoor setting with good music.

Diner Review №186

Some of the best Thai food in Austin for sure and great prices for what you get! Great flavors and spice- yum! Owners are super kind people as well. We always get take out and they package it perfectly. Try it…you won’t regret it!

Diner Review №187

They were out of quite a few things but overall the Food was delicious. The dry rub chicken wings was on point. They gave me the tamarind sauce on the side, it was slightly too sweet for my liking. The Thai me down roti was SPICY but so good, the roti itself was soft and crispy! The ginger rice in the the Lost recipe was flavorful and the chicken was cooked really well. My friend ordered the Pad Thai (made it spicy) , was too spicy for me but she found it quite sweet. The spring rolls were crispy and good too.

Diner Review №188

I don’t mean to practice medicine without a license, but if you take the Gai Tod home and put it on top of cheesy grits with the sauce poured over, you can cure depression.

Diner Review №189

Wings are really good and crispy!

Diner Review №190

I ordered Pad Thai ($11.50) and the egg rolls ($8). Pad Thai was good with a thick glaze on it which was about 75% savory 25% sweet. Wasn’t that much food but it was tasty. The egg rolls were basically 4 bite size rolls of fried dough with literally one single shred of cabbage and one single shred of carrot. Total waste of money.
People who ordered behind me had their orders come out before me and when I showed my numbered order pager to check on mine she told me it will buzz when it’s ready. Yeah I understand the pager system, thanks. Just wanted a time frame on my order.

Diner Review №191

Best Thai food truck!! I’ve tried the pad Thai, killer noodles, and the ka pow and they are all fantastic!!

Diner Review №192

Food was bomb

Diner Review №193

The flavor is good but the protein in kra pao chicken and curry is quite dry.

Diner Review №194

Amazing Pad Thai!!

Diner Review №195

Diner Review №196

This is the kind of food to write home about. We got the killer noodles, rip and dip roti, dang curry, and cucumber salad and every single dish was a 10/10!!

Diner Review №198

Big yes.

True Thai food. Delicious. The pad Thai was full of flavour and the cucumber salad was crisp and tasty. Everything was extremely fresh, made served with love!

Diner Review №200

This place may have just knocked off Titaya for my favorite Thai food in town. I had the killer noodles and wings to start. The heat was perfect. Given it is located in the parking lot of a bar I wasn't expecting much, but I'm going back soon to try the rest of the menu. Believe the hype! All the reviews are dead on. It is a very limited menu but everything looks delicious. I can't wait to return.
