Amazing Thai food, warm friendly buzzing atmosphere and great service. A bit crowded and close between tables for my taste, but the positive energy definitely makes you feel a part of the experience instead of stressed. I am definitely coming back. I had the duck with mushrooms and five spices , rice and hibiscus juice to drink. Delicious!

Diner Review №4

The food was decent (nothing special though, we’ve eaten at Thai restaurants all over the city and this place was at the bottom of the top tier restaurants)

My main issue with this place though was the service. We made a reservation for 7 and arrived right on time. However, we had to wait almost 15 minutes to be seated.

After less than an hour, I ordered a thai iced tea and we were getting ready to order dessert (I was going to ask for a dessert menu), but they said that the next reservation had arrived and asked us to take the Thai iced tea to go, after we had spent literally less than an hour at our table

TBH this entire place felt like a factory, the food also felt very hastily prepared and they were constantly busting out DoorDash orders the entire time as well

Euphoric experience. Took my sister too long to figure out it was a train cart though.

Diner Review №9

The food is fine. We loved the Hor Mok because it tastes and presents quite uniquely, but that's the only item that impressed us. We also ordered Khao Hor Bai Bua and the chive cake appetizer with some sprouts and crispy condiments. It was okay, like your typical go-to Thai restaurant, but nothing impressive. I'd say it's definitely overpriced considering the creativity, innovation, and flavors they've put into it. The menu also features quite a few Thai street food dishes with better presentation, but priced at $24, while you can get a similar flavor at your go-to Thai restaurants for half the price. The vibe is cute, but the place is packed with tables, making it feel really cramped. We were seated at the bar, and there was nowhere to hang my coat. I was told there was a hanger under the table, but those hangers were designed for bags, not coats. My coat would have definitely touched the floor if I hung it there, so I had to place it on my lap. The whole time, my knees were touching the bar counter, which made me really uncomfortable. The space isn't necessarily tiny, but because they didn't want to waste any inch of space, they crammed in as many tables as possible, resulting in a cramped and confined feeling. I know it's NY, but I don't think other restaurants are this cramped. The establishment gives me the impression that it cares more about making money than providing a good dining experience.

Food was perfect, lots of spice!

Diner Review №18

Phenomenal! One of the best meals I've had; I'm already itching to return.

The papaya salad, crab curry, and crispy duck were definitely highlights.

Diner Review №19

Great food, great service, cool and unique atmosphere. The only challenge is that it's very tight seating in there and it gets loud just like most very busy downtown restaurants.

Diner Review №20

Mostly delicious food and lovely ambience were marred by an aggressively pushy “hurry-up-and-leave” attitude.

Instead of welcoming us, the person who seated us (in an extremely small, uncomfortable booth) had only one thing to say: “Your 90 minutes starts now!”

Then the server hounded us to order. Literally every 90 seconds she blurted “Are you ready?”

I understand Sukh’s need to turn over tables, but they could communicate this rule in a much less alienating manner and stop treating their guests like pigs at a trough.

Sukh’s success will quickly unravel if they continue to treat their guests this way.

My high expectations were dashed. Their awful service left a bad taste in my mouth.

Diner Review №21

Food was delicious, especially the short rib curry. Duck was very good too. Wow what a treat. Service was great as well.

Diner Review №22

Excellent. A genuinely different Thai restaurant, above the rest, rivaling Somtum Der.

Many delicious dishes that I hadn't been exposed to before, and even the classics are unique and exceptionally flavorful.

All of the wait staff are professional - out of the way, always available, helpful and friendly.

Acoustics are kind of poor, so at max occupancy it gets loud.

Diner Review №23

Thank you Poonpun! Gave us the best recommendations and the best service ever. Food was excellent!

Diner Review №24

10/10 would do it again and again! While the food was spectacular, our waiter, Poonpun, truly was the star of the show. Can’t wait to come back for more!

Diner Review №25

The food was incredible. Our server Poonpun was amazing! He gave the best recommendations and the service was perfect. 10/10 experience

Diner Review №26

Oh WOW, I ate here with a group of friends and had one of the best restaurant experiences since moving to NYC four years ago, if not my entire life. The ambience is fantastic, the servers friendly and attentive, and the food is SO good. We ordered about five apps and six entrees and each was so flavorful. I’ll admit that my experience with Thai food is pretty limited to takeout pad Thai, and I so enjoyed trying a ton of new dishes with flavor profiles I had never tasted before. The cocktails are also exquisite. Man I can’t wait to go back….

Diner Review №27

The food here is delicious; service is wonderful and a great space. Come hungry. Poonpun was a wonderful waiter who provided recommendations and was very kind

Diner Review №28

Just had the most delicious and wonderful meal at Sukh! Poonpun was an attentive and kind server and the food is absolutely amazing. We will be back often and will be bringing all of our friends! Thank you to the entire staff for such a fantastic experience. Cocktails were also delightful!!

Diner Review №29

I had an amazing time here. Came here for a dinner date on a Thursday evening around 9. We were able to get reservations same-day. The food is absolutely amazing! Not just the flavors but the quality of the meats tastes much better than what I’m normally used to here. Not sure if the name of the duck dish but it was covered in a tasty gravy that wasn’t too heavy which was nice and we had the chicken pad Thai with a side of rice. Everything was cooked perfectly and the food came out quick. I even liked the rice and I’m not a fan of rice at all, especially not plain white rice- it had a nice texture and a bit of a sweetness like sticky rice, it paired well with the food. The service was top notch! Everyone was extremely polite and happy, our waters was refilled regularly. I also ordered a drink, not sure of the name but it had Mai in it- was hoping it would be a Mai tai but it wasn’t, it was coffee-based but I enjoyed it, well-balanced and strong (the way I like my drink). Overall I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return, the value is also great. The total came out to just 40 dollars each- this place is a true gem in brooklyn. It also helps that it’s right next to the subway station for the g-train.

Had this saved on my list for quite some time and finally got the chance to try it! You will need reservations as this place can get packed. I’ve seen you need to make reservations weeks ahead depending on when you’re going.

My friends and I (party of 5) ordered the following and were full at the end of our meal:
- Gor Gluay (sautéed chive pancake) $16
- Hoi Jor Poo (fried crab rolls) $19
- Sukh Pad Thai $25
- Khao Soi (spicy) $24
- Neur Yang (grilled ribeye steak) $38
- Thai Iced Tea $8

The fried crab rolls were really good and came with a dipping sauce. They only come with 4 pieces so keep that in mind depending on your party size. The sautéed chive pancakes were different than the usual that I expected, but decent. I liked the Sukh Pad Thai as it was flavorful and not too sweet. Khao Soi was also solid, but a little on the spicier end (1 chilly pepper does not exactly mean mild spice on the expected level). Enjoyed the grilled ribeye steak, but was closer to the chewier end than expected. This is a winter special so only available for this season. The Thai iced tea was standard and for $8, they really included a whole ton of ice, not sure it was quite worth it, but the dishes are definitely more unique than the typical Thai places I’ve been to.

It was pretty difficult to flag down a waiter/waitress since they were so busy, but they were nice. Overall would recommend, but don’t bring too much as they space their tables really closely and you’re practically back to back with other chairs. Not much space for your legs for the tall people, especially if you’re in the middle tables and not at the booths.

Diner Review №35

Really delicious Thai food in a beautiful train inspired setting. Highly recommend Sukh for its authentic take on Thai food. Everything was delicious and was easy to share. Highly recommend the Penang curry!

Diner Review №38

Such a memorable, warm, and delicious experience!

First impression was stellar - ambiance was aesthetic and cozy, and the menu was designed like a newspaper. Loved reading about the meaning of sukh (“happiness”) and getting to know the backgrounds of the executive chefs 📰

Hor mok appetizer was 1000/10, will definitely order again. So unique and delicious.

Pork belly rice dish was tasty, as well as the curry soup dish that was a winter special.

Our server, Paul, went above and beyond. He recommended a variety of dishes (which were delicious) and checked up on us throughout our meal. When the diners at the table next to ours finished their meal, the staff thoughtfully cleaned their table and pushed it next to ours so that we could have more space. Really appreciate the staff’s thoughtfulness and Paul’s kind, genuine energy and the awesome hat -- thanks again!! The lady manager was very warm and inviting as well :)

Also appreciate that it was easy to get a reservation for 2 on a Monday.

Will definitely be returning, looking forward to trying new dishes!

You can't go wrong with this place - Sukh

Diner Review №40

Sukh has incredible vibes, service, and of course authentic food to match. Our server, Paul, was super friendly and helpful in his recommendations. We loved the kapraw moo and crab curry that he recommended, both were so flavorful and had a nice bit of heat (but not overly spicy). The railroad theme was beautifully done, not kitschy, and makes for a lovely date spot. I highly recommend Sukh for delicious Thai food that is actually authentic, and not diluted or sweetened for the western palette

Diner Review №49

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire city. I don't usually visit restaurants repeatedly, but since opening I've returned to Sukh 5 times, and it's been incredible every single time. The service is impeccable and the staff is super friendly (last time I dined in, Natt was awesome!) and the food is outstanding. I get the Hor Mok every time I'm there and it's always the perfect opening dish, especially with a group.

The Tom Yum Krung Mapraw soup is also amazing for takeout if you're under the weather and need a pick-me-up. Additionally, all of their crab dishes and cocktails are phenomenal.

I'm so happy to be a regular at this spot and excited to see where so much success takes this team -- it's truly a gem!

Diner Review №50

Just had the best dinner I've had in months here. The Hor Mok was a wild and delicious surprise.

Diner Review №51

This place doesn’t not SUKH!!! SUKH is hands down one of the best Thai spots I’ve ever experienced! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is warm and inviting, setting the perfect stage for an incredible meal.

The menu is packed with authentic options, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced—just the right amount of sweetness and tang—and the Green Curry was rich, aromatic, and absolutely divine. Their attention to detail in both presentation and taste is unmatched.

What really sets SUKH apart is the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations that did not disappoint. You can tell they genuinely care about providing an unforgettable dining experience.

If you’re a Thai food lover or even just looking to try something new, SUKH is a must-visit. Five stars all the way—I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Diner Review №52

My fiancée and I have been to Sukh several times since it opened, and it is one of the best restaurants in NYC! The food is excellent and authentic, among the best Thai menus I have ever had. I most recently came with my family and the staff (especially Natt) took great care of us and was very attentive. The Hor Mok is my favorite dish, we order it every time. At our most recent visit I especially loved the Pla Tod Samun Prai, which is a fried branzino. Whenever we take people out in the area, Sukh has become our go to spot, and it has impressed every time!

Diner Review №53

Never disappoints! Pom gave us exceptional service and made our NYE dinner so fun!

Diner Review №54

Elegant-but-not-stuffy atmosphere, warm and gracious service (thanks Pom!), and the food is just as good as I'd hoped from seeing it recommended on social media.

We got the Hor Mok (not to be missed), Somtum Thai Kai Kem shredded papaya salad, and Pak Mor rice crepes to balance the kick. We followed with the stunning Pla Tod Samun Prai fried branzino filet and Pad Prak Ruam sauteed mixed vegetables, finishing up with the tasty taro cake/coconut ice cream dessert.

It was a great spread for 3, although we're already looking forward to going with 4 to try the curries and noodles. Happily, for a nice dinner out and a great experience, the price was more than reasonable!

Diner Review №64

We had a lovely time! Have been wanting to check it out and finally snagged a reservation. We did the chive pancake and fried tofu as appetizers and both were delicious. Mains were the Khao Hor Bai Bua and the Kaeng Ho (winter special) and both were tasty and a nice switch up from the usual options at generic Thai restaurants in the city. We also enjoyed the cocktails; no room for desert so we’ll have to come back. Finally our server Poopun W was super sweet! Looking forward to returning an trying some other dishes (and the chive pancake again!)

Diner Review №65

Absolutely gorgeous space with equally gorgeous food. We tasted so many regional Thai specialties that I've never had before! Please don't come here and only order pad thai. There are so many mind-blowing delicious dishes here that you can't find anywhere else.

The hor mok (branzino curry custard topped with crab) were like flavor BOMBS! All the great curry and seafood flavor condensed and concentrated into one bite. My taste buds may never be the same.

Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable too! Will definitely return very soon.

Diner Review №66

Sukh is a very special place. This was the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Extremely thoughtful, elegant and simply delicious. I wish I could eat here everyday. The service was superb! Everyone was friendly and on point!! A MUST try for sure.

Diner Review №67

The gor gluay was so good, i love the crispy chips they put on it and the meat was chewy and nice. The fried rice was ok and the larb khao pod was good but hard to eat. Hor mok was the famous dish, but it’s very very spicy.

Diner Review №68

This place has a long line but the food I had was fine. i didn’t really love the dishes i ordered - duck breast, som tham with gai yang and the short rib curry. i think that the dishes had more meat than i like which is why I didn’t enjoy the meal so much.

I recommend maybe trying another place that doesn’t have so much of a wait

Diner Review №69

Sukh is truly delicious! Best Thai I’ve had I think ever. Ploy is a very good server

Diner Review №70

loveeeeee this spot. honestly one of the best thai in the city. every item is so flavourful and tastes like authentic thai. the restaurant is modelled after a train car giving it a unique feel. we got the branzino coconut custard balls, branzino and pumpkin curry. each were super unique and so flavourful (could do with a bit more spice in the curry but that’s a personal choice). the branzino we leafy DREAMING about. super friendly staff and great experience.

Diner Review №71

Incredible experience. Server was able to recommend appetizers and wine that paired so well. The chicken on my Pad Thai was cooked to absolute perfection. The service was outstanding. A must try!

Diner Review №72

Diner Review №73

Told the waiter I was vegan and they recommended a dish. Started eating and realized there was egg in it. When I said something to the waiter he said there was fish sauce in it as well. Not sure why he didn’t think it was appropriate to mention before. I appreciate that they took it back but was very upset that they didn’t take my dietary restrictions seriously. The decor is charming but this restaurant packs in tables so closely you’re almost elbow to elbow with the next table over. I will not be returning.

SUKH is an incredible new restaurant in fort greene. The food is outstanding as is the service. Everytime I have been in I have loved it. Thanks to all the team
Members.

Diner Review №80

Delicious fresh food prepared a little differently than most. Cozy but not feeling crowded. Great beer menu. Will return!

Diner Review №81

In my top three for restaurants in Brooklyn. Staff is friendly and quick to help, the interior is absolutely beautiful (and it's one of those places where its actually better off packed in my opinion) and the food is (mostly) fantastic. Even at it's worst, Sukh food is just ordinarily good, but at its best it's creative and delicious.

Diner Review №82

Highly recommend the khao soi! I also love trying the pad kee maos at various thai places as it’s one of my favorite dishes; and while it was great for an initial few bites, it became too salty after a while.

Diner Review №83

Great food but a little expensive!

Diner Review №84

Diner Review №85

The food was really tasty. I had a Khao Hor Bai Bua (rice dish) and the ribeye dish. The ribeye was flavorful, but the texture was different. I think it was cooked sous vide. Everything was fresh, and my favorite was the dessert. I would recommend this place to people if they wanted to try Thai food for the first time, and I would come back with friends. Just remember to be careful with the spice level of the dishes. The one spice level had a nice kick but wasn't too much.

Me and my wife love this place. It's got an old Orient Express train car theme throughout the restaurant. Be warned ⚠️ lol, the spicy selections on the menu are true to the meaning of spicy. Definitely a go-to for those who like real spice in your life.

Diner Review №91

Diner Review №92

I had high hopes for this restaurant after reading raving reviews about it. The food may not be mind blowing but it was definitely good. The service overall was okay but could use some improvement. Our server gave the impression that he couldn’t wait for us to make up our minds on ordering, or to finish our dishes and leave. On a side note, it is a lively and trendy spot, so it is extremely loud in their indoor dining hall. We could barely hear our own conversation throughout the meal, the noise level was so high that I felt so exhausted afterwards.

Diner Review №93

Diner Review №94

I loved this place. I love obscenely (flavorful) spicy stuff and this place took me back to when I lived in Thailand. We had the Khao Soi and the laab. It was on point.

All the cocktails were had were phenomenal as well.

Can't wait to go back.

Diner Review №95

This is probably the best restaurant i’ve been to in NYC. I spent 2 months in Thailand last year and the food here brought me right back to Thailand. Incredibly authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The waitress was also so kind and helpful. We had 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 1 desert and everything was absolutely delicious. Their halloween pumpkin desert special was not something I’d usually order but it was also a knockout and I ended up ordering an extra to bring home. Will definitely be back for more :)

Diner Review №96

Fantastic food! Great service. What a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Absolutely gorgeous spot. Will be coming back often.

Diner Review №97

Had dinner here and the food was SO GOOD (so much flavor!), I had to go back the next day for lunch. I’ve never been to Thailand so I can’t compare it, but a Thai friend mentioned that the flavors are very authentic and similar to what you get in Thailand. Favorite dishes here are definitely the fried coconut, chive pancake, and the lotus wrapped rice (Khao Hor Bai Bua) - and it’s what I keep coming back for. Also tried the Hor Mok but I didn’t think it was anything special (tasted like a solid chunk of curry), but it was highly raved by other reviewers. The baby squid in squid ink sauce on their summer menu was packed with flavor. Fried branzino was good, but quite messy to eat. The pork jowl was also too fatty for me, but that could just be a personal preference. The larb khao pod (seasoned corn) and the sausage on their summer menu is also worth trying. Pad Thai with the grilled chicken was better than most I’ve had. Short rib curry and khao soi basically has the same curry base - the khao soi was a lot spicier than what I am used to at other places, but if you have a high spice tolerance, you’ll be fine. The short rib was quite stiff the day we ordered it, but my friend who tried it before said it was very tender when she got it. Must try the taro custard with coconut ice cream dessert - the coconut ice cream with the warm custard is amazing. Atmosphere wise, 9PM on a Wednesday night was crowded and quite loud, making it hard to talk and hear each other. It was a lot better coming here for a weekday/weekend lunch. Also got the fried coconut and fried rice as takeout, it was still good after reheating/ toasting it!

Diner Review №98

After the movie at BAM, we ended up at this Thai restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend it, despite the pleasant atmosphere and nice decor. The dishes were well-presented, but the taste was lacking. I found the squid especially disappointing; it had no flavor and felt rubbery, almost like eating a piece of tasteless rubber. The sauce was nicely seasoned, but you couldn’t tell if you were eating squid 🦑 or just a piece of gummy bread.

Diner Review №99

Not your typical Thai. Delicious food & cocktails. We loved the pad thai and fried young coconut!

Diner Review №100

Pad Thai is actually better than what I had in Bangkok😳

Diner Review №101

Delicious!! Took my parents here for dinner and it was perfect. Every dish was made well, tasted fresh and had beautiful complexity and balance. The concept of the train car was so unique and fun! Can’t wait to go back and try the cocktails!

Diner Review №102

Had dinner here with friends last night and everything was incredible. This place is a true gem. I love the flavors of Thai food and they really do it right. Hands down best Thai food I have eaten in NYC.

Diner Review №103

Diner Review №104

Okay, the food was spectacular, the drinks, amazing. I will say being crammed close to other patrons wasn’t the most fun, but I get it, New York City real estate.

Diner Review №105

It’s so cute inside like a train car in Thailand. The server was very knowledgeable and the dishes they recommended were delicious. 10/10!

Diner Review №106

The appetizers were amazing and the atmosphere of the restaurant is great. The entrees was okay and might vary based on taste and preference

Diner Review №107

The service here was very attentive and the food was delicious. There are a number of hot things on the menu, and our waitress asked us whether we’d be okay with the spice level.
We were fine, as we like spicy, and it seems they would be able to change the spice level to accommodate those who don’t tolerate spice.

Diner Review №108

Very delicious! And the service was great. Highly recommend. Will be returning.

Diner Review №109

We liked trying some new Thai dishes but service was inconsistent. The female waitresses were pushy and came off rude. We came in for a late lunch on a Sunday 3pm for a large group of 6.

Beware: Waitress will try to make you order more dishes than you need. Trust your gut instinct. We ordered 4 appetizers and 4 entrees. Waitress claims, “should be 1 entree per person.” Keep in mind, the menu says “plates to share.” In the end, we ordered an extra dish based on her recommendation (Larb Nur, which turned out to be too spicy and our least favorite dish). We didn’t finish it in the end.

At around 3:40pm, they’d ask for last call to order more items in the kitchen. We declined since we had a good amount of food. Because Larb Nur was too spicy, I asked another waitress for Thai ice tea. She rolled her eyes and said it was last call, are you sure you don’t want anything else and gestured to the rest of the table. This is a drink? I thought it was just kitchen items. Next time, they should specify no more drinks and food for last call. I wanted to take back my extra drink order because she sounded so inconvenienced by it.

Male waiters were very friendly otherwise. Aside from this experience, I’d recommend ordering:
-curry custard & wok young coconut
-fried branzino
-khao soi
-khao hor bai hua (bamboo wrapped rice)

Takeout may be the better option if you’re not just there for the train car style decor.

Stopped by pre-theatre this weekend and really enjoyed it. Riesling (not pictured) was excellent, as was the Thai Iced Tea.

The Hor Muk starter was delicious, complex flavoured and textured. The ambience of the restaurant was wonderful and the bartenders attentiveness in the midst of the hustle and bustle was very much appreciated.

My partner and I opted for the seasonal specials: pork jowl and blackberry rice, and softshell crab curry. The pork jowl entree didn't quite hit the heights of the starter, being only luke-warm on plating with cold steamed broccolini and squash accompanying raw carrot as the sides, and the blackberry rice seemingly only using blackberry for colour, not taste. The fish paste was a welcome condiment though. The pork thankfully, though not hot, was still juicy and flavourful. I'm putting most of the temperature issues down to a very busy service.

The softshell crab was a wonderful curried delight that was cooked to perfection. Hot and sweet, creamy and crunchy.

All in all, a very pleasant time in a wonderful decor and ambience that means we'll definitely be coming back in the future.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and this has become a go-to. The food is excellent and I really like their train theme. Staff is very helpful.

Diner Review №114

I’m sitting here at 2pm on a Friday, my first time at SUKH, having the green curry with grilled chicken and the curry samosas, thanks to a friend’s recommendation. And I’m honestly blown away with how delicious this meal is. This is the best Thai meal that I’ve had outside of a small Thai restaurant in MD. 100/10 recommend dining here. Also, the staff is so helpful and has great suggestions. The prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the ambiance is lovely. Its concept is inspired by Thai railway history and looks like a train inside. It’s lovely and probably even more charming at night.

Haven’t had such great Thai food for a while. We loved everything we ordered: the pork jowls and the squid stir fry really stand out.

this place did not disappoint. appetizers (hor mok)and dessert were great. my entree was shrimp pad thai. shrimp didn't have much flavor, noodles were ok my friend had chicken pad thai. she said the chicken had great flavors. had thai iced tea. it was 85% crushed ice but was good.
I will def return (not order shrimp pad thai). this is now one of my go-to.

Diner Review №121

Decent food, pushy service

Diner Review №122

The venue is nice but unfortunately my food was not up to standard. I ordered chicken pad se ew. The chicken was not fresh and the dish was spicy.

Very disappointed.

Although the food was very good, the service experience was among the worst I’ve had in NYC. I made a late lunch reservation (3:30) through the website, arrived a few minutes early, and as soon as I was seated, the server told us (my daughter and me) the kitchen would be closing in TEN MINUTES. Granted, you can close the kitchen whenever you want, but don’t offer a reservation at 3:30 if you close the kitchen at 3:40. I was so shocked I kind of went along with it, my daughter and I ordered everything at once, including dessert (taro custard).

To make matters worse, after our main course was served, the server told us they were out of taro custard, and when I asked whether I could order a different dessert, she said no because THE KITCHEN WAS ALREADY CLOSED. (And as I recall, the other option was ice cream? They couldn’t even offer ice cream?) No apology, no “let me offer you X or take Y off the bill for you. At that point we were seriously annoyed but also stunned because it was so nonsensical.

Then at the end of the meal, they brought the check, and five minutes later returned to tell us it was time to pay. We had been there less than an hour, so it’s not as though we had been holding people up. It was not even 4:30. And then when we left, all the workers were enjoying fresh-out-of-the-closed-kitchen dishes, which of course they should do and should enjoy the meal break before the dinner rush, but just don’t take a 3:30 reservation if you are going to kick customers to the curb for your break time a few minutes later.

The place was posh yet warm with a charming and attentive staff. Fast service and delicious food!

Diner Review №126

I personally love Thai food and am really glad that this amazing Thai restaurant is in the neighborhood! Everything is delicious and you can’t go wrong. The interior is also stylish and this is a perfect spot for everything.

Diner Review №127

Pumpkin curry is so so yummy!! The patio was lovely for a day in the late summer. All around delicious. It was also fast and friendly service. Would recommend!

Diner Review №128

Incredible meal - hands down one of the best Thai restaurant experiences in NYC!

Diner Review №129

Easily my favorite thai in brooklyn! This was my second time here in the same month 😅 So far my top two faves are the papaya salad and the fried fish. Service is amazing and the ambiance is beautiful!

They finally have a liquor license, and the cocktails are almost as good as the food

While I wish this restaurant all deserved success, I also hope it doesn't get noticed by NYT, because it's soon going to be impossible to get a table down the line.

The food is immaculate. You can tell the cooks are enjoying themselves with this menu because there's a lot of creative flair on the menu. There's upscaled 'standards', seasonal specials, and deep cuts that you won't find in most other Thai spots. Pricing is reasonable given portion sizes and quality, the flavors are dialed in, nothing was too spicy. I shared the braised duck, pork jowl, and short rib curry family style. I have a feeling the small kitchen is cranking at a breakneck pace; my only critique is I wished the food was 20% warmer when it came out.

The ambience was charming. They made the tightness of the space work with their train-car vibe and I felt really transported out of Brooklyn. There were really authentic touches on decor and the overall design of the interiors. It does get a bit loud though, so it won't be a great quiet/intimate setting.

The service was great. The tables were tight and there wasn't much room for people to walk by / wait tables, but people did their best.

Definitely will come back!

Diner Review №135

Really good food and waitress gave really good suggestions. Would have given a 5* however we were rushed from our table after only 1 hour 15 minutes.

Diner Review №136

Atmosphere was incredible. The nalcs were bright and refreshing. The Hor Mok is a MUST order. Great place for a date night.

Diner Review №137

I recently visited this place and was thoroughly impressed. The food was fantastic, with standout dishes like the fried fish and crispy coconut that truly delighted the taste buds. The atmosphere was enhanced by the lovely interior and inviting aromas. The music also added to the overall great vibes. The service was top-notch, and I was thrilled to hear they’ve just received their liqour license. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in NYC. Highly recommended!

Diner Review №138

Really exceptional Thai food that goes way beyond your standard pad thai fare. Get the fried coconut appetizer and the fried branzino, both are delightful.

Diner Review №139

Delicious, spicy, delicious, spicy!
I’m a huge Thai food lover, and always looking for a restaurant with the perfect blend of flavors and heat. Found it! Sukh has a great menu with some items that aren’t found at other Thai restaurants. The lab has perfect spice heat and flavors. It creeps up-but it satisfies! The interior is lovely and very clean. Staff is wonderful and friendly. The kitchen is quick to send out the plates. I had a wonderful lunch and absolutely would come to Brooklyn just to dine with Sukh.

Diner Review №140

One of my top 3 Thai restaurants in NYC! The ambience is very stylish - interiors feel like an old timey train car in the 60s. The food is to die for- Hor Mok is a standout, along with Pak Mor and my fav the fried Branzino with caramelized fish sauce. The service is also on point. They have the friendliest staff. Can’t wait to go back!

Diner Review №141

This was one of my favorite meals in a long time. It's a small location so definitely make a reservation. The Hor Mok was one of my favorite dishes and not something I've seen at other Thai restaurants. Service was great and I love the 1920s train vibe of the decor. I can't wait to come back here!

I, regretfully, did not take any photos of this place, but I definitely recommend it.

It is a little tight quarters, but they make due with the space. It's kinda cool the inside is styled after old timey train carts. There is outdoor seating as well, so don't let my prior note deter you.

They did not serve alcohol on my visit but I overheard one of the employees informing another guest that they were working on getting the liquor license situated, as I believe this location has only been open briefly.

The waiter was very kind and made a lot of suggestions on the menu, and not a single recommendation disappointed.

Check it out!

NEW FAVORITE THAI RESTO 🚨🚨Overall, New York does Thai pretty well. But this place is so so so delicious. The food was 11/10. Had loads of options and our waiter Brian recommended the perfect number of plates for our table. For appetizers the Young coconut, fried tofu were SO delicious The Branzino was a stand out for me - full filleted fish with the most delicious tangy sauce on the side. Brian recommended the Larb Nurh if we liked spicy food (we do) and it did not disappoint. Came with a side of fresh vegetables too. Pad Thai (chicken was huge, got it on the side and could do without the protein tbh) - the crab fried rice is fire 🔥 🔥

Really good Thai food. Although I think the highlight is the iced tea!

Short rib was the best dish.

Diner Review №155

What an amazing place! Went on a Monday evening with my friend (we had a reservation). We got: Hor Mok (steamed branzino curry custard), Ma Praw Kua Gluer (young coconut app), Somtum Thai Kai Kem (papaya salad), and the Panang Nuer (Short Rib Curry). All were incredible. The papaya salad is spicy in a great way, and very fresh. We also got an amazing coconut/pandam drink (no alcohol). Can’t wait to visit again and try more dishes!!

Diner Review №156

An incredible meal in Fort Greene! The service was great, met with warm smiles and the food was out in record time! The Khao Soi was a stand out, possibly the best I’ve had in NYC with rich curry flavor and the scrumptious egg noodles! Just wow. Will definitely be back and recommend to all for a great dinner!

Diner Review №157

Had a great experience at SUKH. Food is really good and just the right amount of spicy.

Diner Review №158

Fantastic flavors from every dish but it was pretty annoying we were pressured by our waitress to order everything at once. No liquor license (as of Aug 2024) and charging $15 for a mocktail is pretty outrageous. Thai Ice Tea could be colder and sweeter as well.

Diner Review №159

Service was ok, but this is the best Thai food I’ve had outside of southeast Asia and maybe ever. I really like Fish Cheeks and Thai Dinner, but this takes the cake. No liquor license when I went.

Diner Review №163

I’m always pleasantly surprised when I hear about a restaurant that I’ve seen on social media deliver all the aspects that I need when dining out.
Food is AT LEAST rated a 7/8
Ambiance is clean and well thought out
Service gotta be “I wanted to come to work today and/or glad that you’re here” type energy.
My experience here was all that and I definitely will put this on the list as my new Thai restaurant that I return to and or recommend folks to dine at.
Oh! And shouts to our waitress P!
Go here!

Diner Review №164

Not only is this the best Thai in NYC, but it's one of the best restaurants in NYC. For those who remember Uncle Boon's, this is even better. The chef at Sukh plays with so many flavors and isn't afraid of spice- some of the dishes rival Ugly Baby-level spice, but the flavors are on another level of interesting. This restaurant boldly goes where others can't or won't. Wow. For good measure, here's a picture of my daughter enjoying the best Pad Thai of her life at Sukh. Bravo.

Diner Review №165

Dined here with a party of 6, including one child. Service was a bit slow at first, but the food came out fast once we ordered and our server did a good job of checking in on us as we ate and ordered more food. The decor and menu are well curated and the space is very nice. We ordered: papaya salad (which has shrimp-vegetarian fyi), pumpkin curry, branzino (highly recommend!), soft boiled rice, green curry with chicken, sausage appetizer, corn, and waffle gui chai. All for less than $200, everything was delicious and we hardly had any leftovers! Great modern take on classic Thai dishes.

Would definitely return. Reservation strongly advised.

Diner Review №166

Strong contender for the best Thai food in the city. Most stacked pad thai I’ve ever had in terms of meat:noodle ratio. The chicken is so tender, and the noodles are so tasty and not sticky. Papaya salad also delicious with healthy portions. Amazing buzzing ambiance and high-touch service. Highly recommend and I will be back

Diner Review №167

I am a huge fan of this new Thai addition to Fort Greene. Their hor mok appetizer is as good and interesting as everyone said. Papaya salad was too spicy for my friends but perfect for me. Definitely get khao hor bai hua, the rice is so well seasoned and the sausage pieces are delicious. Crab fried rice was the only somewhat disappointing dish, a little bland and boring. Hope to come back and try more things!

An amazing experience all around. The restaurant is themed like an old French train you might see in the movies. They managed to accommodate our larger party of 6.

The waitress came and spoke to us, and when I asked for recommendations she ran me through the menu and gave me good recommendations based on spice tolerance and shareable plates. There were only mocktails offered, and they were very all well made and refreshing.

The appetizer dishes came out quickly, and the waitress was very attentive to our table. Would happily visit again.

The best Thai food that you can find in New York. Yes I have been to Jackson Heights many times to try different spots. This is even better than most Thai places in LA. The flavor has so many layers and best of all they have many vegetarian options on the menu. Definitely try the young coconut dish and the rice crepe. Can't wait to go back!

We stopped in to try this place finally. The service was amazing, food was fantastic, and the decor was a nice surprise. We really appreciated the kindness of the staff and quality of food. We will for sure come back.

Only thing is that I wish there were more dishes for vegetarian/vegan folks. However the Joru Tofu was so good we had to get another order! Yum. ☺️
