I used to really like this place but the last order was not great. Ordered 4level spicy and it was def a 1level. The tofu tasted old. And the delivery arrived cold even though I paid extra on uber eats for direct delivery.

Diner Review №2

Not the review I wanted to leave, but the one I feel I have to...

The good: The restaurant is well-decorated with an exotic atmosphere. The server was considerate in meeting my requests, including for extra spice options. The tea was a nice accompaniment.

The bad: While eating my dish - Drunken Noodles with Fried Tofu - I noticed an "off" taste to the tofu, as if it were freezerburnt. But I paid it little mind. After the meal, I felt sick to my stomach. Less than half an hour later, my body was rejecting the food. Could it have been an unhappy coincidence, or a case of overeating? Perhaps. But I do worry about food safety, and can't see myself coming back here anytime soon.

The verdict: If it weren't for falling ill, this would have been a solid 4-star dining experience, easily. But I have to rate it based on the meal that I received. Hopefully your experience ends with less vomiting than mine.

Food is good and I enjoy getting takeout but do not bother eating inside the restaurant. Service was terrible and very disappointing.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. The food is always so amazing. Everything I've tried here is fresh and so flavorful. The staff is so lovely and attentive. They always make me feel so welcome. The food is so good and such a large portion I always have a second meal to take home even. Such a unique interior. Really one of the best restaurants in Atlanta.

Diner Review №15

Delicious, high quality food. Super fast service. Lovely, relaxing atmosphere. The owner? Manager? talked with us several times and gave us recommendations. It was an overall excellent experience!

Diner Review №16

FVorite asain place to eat besides "Char Korean BBQ" will forever go here to eat sushi. Went woth my mom and my baby son.

Diner Review №17

Most of the dishes we ordered, were not okay-ish, not delicious.

Diner Review №18

The food, staff and atmosphere is great. I have done pick up, dine in, and delivery and all have been on point.

Diner Review №19

Bangkok Thyme is a Thai restaurant in the Sandy Springs portion of Roswell Road known for its fresh and creative sushi offerings and authentic Thai food.

We ordered the Lychee martini, Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Toro on Fire, Bangkok Fried Rice (Chicken), Spicy Holy Basil Chicken, Fried Cheesecake. Meal highlights include the Lychee Martini, Spring Rolls, Toro on Fire, and Bangkok Fried Rice. The Spicy Holy Basil Chicken was lacking spice and seasoning. While the fried cheesecake dough was tasty, the filling lacked flavor.

The restaurant decor is very colorful and welcoming. I love the restaurant name etched on the tables. Our meal came out within an appropriate timeframe and we were provided with great and friendly service.

We will definitely return; my husband for the fried rice, and me for the sushi rolls, curry, and to try other cocktails.

Diner Review №20

Very good food. Decent ambiance and ok service.

Diner Review №21

The jungle curry was perfect ! I've been sampling the food here for around 15 years and it remains as one of the best thai restaurants in Atlanta! You need to treat yourself! The curries, vegan, vegetarian, and fish dishes are a safe bet. You can tell your server to have your food spiced bland to thai hot!

Diner Review №22

The different flavorings just excited my palette! And my disheware was so elegant and unique! I felt like I stepped into a portal to Thailand with how well done the scenery is! And the Mango Sorbet is out of this world!

Ordered food for delivery pad Thai and requested extra sauce and they didn’t include the sauce. The noodles were so dry they were sticking to each other. Shrimp was overcooked and bland. Never again

Diner Review №28

I enjoyed visiting this restaurant. Food was just ok. Prices were high for some items but mostly reasonabe
Service was friendly although they didn't speak the best English. I probably wouldn't visit again.

Diner Review №29

The food left a lot to be desired. Vegetables were fresh but lacked flavor. I ordered fresh rolls: they were basically rice noodles inside rice wrapper. For dinner, I ordered wild jungle curry; they steamed the vegetables and mixed it with the sauce before they brought it to the table. Never again. Can’t understand the high rating

Diner Review №30

Has been my go to Thai restaurant for almost 15 years. They changed owners a few years back but the recipes stayed the same. Bery consistent! 💕 this place

Located along Roswell Road, Bangkok Thyme is a nice option for a pleasant meal. The times I have visited, it has not been especially busy, so it has been rather quiet. The restaurant’s extensive menu offers some options I have not found at other Thai restaurants in the area. The service was helpful and efficient.

Diner Review №38

This place does not deserve one star. Wanted to visit this place because "Atlanta Eats” said it was great food.
So I go in on December 3, 2018 for lunch. Was not to busy, I ordered the coconut soup and a sushi roll.

What I remember - HORRIBLE SOUP! after to sips it tasted like someone urinated in it and as far as the Sushi roll, was not up to grade at all...! everybody wearing dirty clothing...!

Service was not attentive and they were sloppy, clothing looked like they had not wash in few days, dirty shoes, waiter seemed to have known what kind of product he was serving me and did not care....soon after I'm hearing chatter and laughing in the back waiter/waitress area.

Another disturbing thing that I witnessed was the Sushi Chef began sweeping the floor while I waited to make my order, what bothered me the most was he actually looked like a latino dishwasher and not sure he washed his hands after sweeping!

I have not been back since and do not plan ever setting foot in that place again!

Diner Review №41

Delivery order arrived after and hour and a half (45 minutes estimated time). If I were given a true delivery time, I wouldn’t have ordered. Luckily, the food was ice cold

Diner Review №42

We were very disappointed with this place. It was our first time and to begin with the waiter was rushing us to order
It wasn’t late for her to wait when we said we need a minute even though we did order the starter.
After rushing us, the starter and main course came at the same time.
The food looked and tasted awful, I was not happy and would not return ever again.

Diner Review №43

Good service although I felt rushed on placing my order I had the masseman the sauce was really good but my shrimp was tasteless , my husband who very very seldom criticize his food said it was ok but tasteless . We love Thai food but this was a little liking In the flavor department .

Diner Review №44

A favorite of ours. Love the spider rolls. Always reliable, never needed a reservation.

Diner Review №45

Pad Thai lacks flavor. Maybe they forgot the most important ingredient, thai sauce. Not sure but I've had much much better. #currycurrythai #bangkokcuisine

Diner Review №46

Excellent Thai restaurant. Best pad see ew in town

Diner Review №47

Ordered take out just to try this place out. Requested for medium heat, tongue was not impressed. Food was bland and oily and overpriced for what you get. Thai taste wasn't there. Nice atmosphere inside though, cute and cozy.

Diner Review №48

Wow wow wow. Where do I start.
This place made me fall in love with Thai food again - their pad see ew (drunken noodles) is to die for. They also have a steak salad (yum nua?) that's really delicious - loved the combo of juicy steak and fresh veggies. And, if you still have a sweet tooth to satisfy after (or during) your meal, they also sell Thai tea! I like to take mine home and dilute slightly with coconut milk because the sweetness is very concentrated. Our server was also attentive and kind. One drawback was that she didn't let us order all apps + entrées at once (which I understand some restaurants don't operate like that).
Bottom line: I'm a repeat customer.

Diner Review №49

The portions for lunch were quite large. I had Coconut soup and Pad See Ew. There wasn't a ton of flavor or spice. Be sure to ask for a spice level if you like spicy Thai food.

Diner Review №50

Food quantity has gone down so much. 1 entree meal was not enough for even 1 person m and I am a small person who doesn’t eat a lot. Also chicken was dry.
Wouldn’t go for the price and quantity.

Diner Review №53

From the minute I walked in the restaurant smelled like a garden outside of someone's kitchen. The dining room was beautiful with Thai wooden decor that was so unique. The staff greets you and service is fast and friendly.

Food was hot , flavorable and delicious with amaizing presentation. Will definitely be back!!

Diner Review №54

Wonderful food. Restaurant seemed a little quiet for a Friday night, but we were there early. They do appear to do a large number of take outs. Some of the best Thai food I have had, and prices reasonable. Can't wait to return.

Diner Review №55

Three strikes your out . We used to go here fairly regularly and it was good and consistent. The last three visits have been sub par and the latest visit was awful . Staff was busy chatting and seemed indifferent to customers . Our app and drink order was forgotten and the entrees were greasy and had no flavor and we kept coming across random things like a piece of broccoli or green bean in something where it wasn’t supposed to be . Steamed rice was old and stale on this last visit . Future Thai outings will have to be further afield as this neighborhood place has gone to the dogs .

Diner Review №56

Delicious!

Diner Review №57

Very attentive staff! We got red curry, pad thai and basil fried rice. Everything was fresh and delicious and flavorful. The red curry presentation was excellent.

Diner Review №58

Great food. I get the Basil Chicken Rice and the Spicy Noodles. It is my go-to meal. Great food selection. They serve large portions. This is a perfect place to dine of you're hungry - or if you plan to have some leftovers to bring home and eat at a later time. The staff is friendly and the food is made in a timely manner.

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

Oy. Used to be my favorite place. I think they changed the green curry recipe it was odd and the tofu tasted weird. Sad to say. Honestly when I looked through the reviews I saw others say the same.

Diner Review №61

Good Food

Diner Review №62

Food- decent. Green curry (famous dish) was very bland. Appetizers delicious (spring rolls and maki)
Service- Way too slow. There were only 2 servers. It was hard to keep waiting for them for everything including plates, cutlery or food!
Took us 2 hours to order, eat and pay.

Diner Review №63

I am so sad to give three stars. This has been an all time favorite of mine. I have eaten the green curry prob 100 + times and it has been delicious without fail. Tonight I did something different and took it to go. Something was definitely off. I am not giving up hope yet I will try it again in store.

Diner Review №64

We love Bangkok Thyme and alway love our meals there. It is right across the street from fountain Oaks shopping center on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs in a small strip center. Their sign is hard to see but right next to New York Bucher. We especially love their lunches. The coconut milks soup is excellent or the ginger salad. The main course is always nicely served and very fair priced. The only thing we would change is it is a bit dark in there and no outdoor dining but still very nice.

Diner Review №65

Oh my goodness delicious! Flavorful food tastes fresh and authentic! Will be back!

Diner Review №66

Really good Thai food. Spicy Thai Basil was quite tasty. Fried tofu was good too.

Diner Review №67

Diner Review №68

Plenty of flavor. Not crazy expensive either.

Diner Review №69

Diner Review №70

I ordered from Bangkok thyme through Uber eats and the food was very bad. I ordered pad See Eew, a dish I usually love, and I could not take more than one bite. It was so terrible. It had a horrible smell along with it. The massaman curry was OK enough that we got through it, but certainly not good. It came with miso soup that tasted like dirty water. All around would not recommend.

Diner Review №71

I like my green curry not so soupy. A little short on flavor and heat. Presentation was nice.

Staff was attentive.

Just need attention to details when comes to ambiance. Blind was very bad shape. Few ceiling tiles were hanging.

With all above = 5 out of 10

Diner Review №72

So glad I discovered this place on Door Dash! Easily the best sushi I’ve had in the Sandy Springs area. When I order through an app their delivery time is always reasonable and the food is still the best temperature and great quality. The presentation is excellent even when delivered. I’ve had nothing but good experiences!

Diner Review №73

We live in Sandy Springs and eat Thai takeout a few times per month. We were in the area so we ordered takeout. We couldn’t have been more disappointed. Coconut soup and green curry was lacking flavor. Wife’s massaman curry was topped with a brown avocado that should have been replaced with a fresh one and was also lacking flavor. Son said the broccoli in his pad see ew tasted like cleaning supplies. I had heard great things about this restaurant and am very disappointed!

Diner Review №74

Ordered delivery and received about half of what I ordered

Diner Review №75

Very solid Thai restaurant. They have sushi too!

Thom Yum soup is good but on the expensive side for the portions. I still go here when i want Thai it's a good choice in the area.

Great vegan sushi but you need to have Thai Basil spring rolls for vegan please 🙏

Diner Review №80

Great little hidden gem!!! Fresh sushi and great lunch special menu that has something for everyone.

Diner Review №81

I ordered pineapple fried rice with tofu and a vegetarian sushi roll.

The sushi roll was good but pretty much exactly what you’d expect for a custom ordered one. They don’t have any specific ones on the menu which is a lost opportunity.

The rice didn’t taste good. It didn’t taste fresh and the seasoning was off.

My impression is that this place is not that great for vegans or vegetarians, but it might be better for others.

We came here and ordered to-go on a Saturday night/evening.

There isn't too much parking here but we found parking. The Restaurant is in a very nice location and the inside and outside is very nice.

The lady that helped us was very nice and friendly and offered us a lot of ginger candy which was delicious.

Most of the food here was OK not good. We have been to several Thai restaurants that were better than this place. One thing good about Thai restaurants is that they always cater to vegetarians. Most dishes will substitute Tofu for the meat. We did not ask if they use chicken broth or fish sauce.

We ordered:
Red curry with chicken
Spicy Thai Basil with tofu
Pad Thai with tofu

As stated above all of these dishes were mediocre.

Three of us with the exception of one agreed that we will not be coming back.

Diner Review №90

My wife and I used to love this place. During the pandemic, we ordered take out several times to support them. But tonight we arrived at 9:15PM and the hours online state they are open until 10PM. We wanted to dine in. We were informed when we walked in that they were only doing Take Out, even though there were two separate parties eating out on the patio. We drove all the way there to be told they would only take our order to go. Clearly they are ok turning away customers. I will take my business elsewhere, to a business that actually appreciates its customers.

If you go here, call ahead to make sure they feel like taking customers that night. If I were you, I would visit somewhere else that needs the business. Not this place that clearly is doing ok.

Service was super friendly and attentive. Restaurant was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Food was okay.

Started with a Lychee Martini which I asked to be lighter on vodka and heavier on lychee juice, and I have to say it was perfect. Next we had Chicken Satay. The plate looked lovely, and the chicken was fresh and hot, but the chicken was a bit dry and the chicken and the satay sauce both seemed under-seasoned and flat in favor.

Our main dishes were Shrimp Pad See-Eew, and Chicken Masaman Curry. Both dishes came out hot and fresh, but like the Satay, they lacked any depth of flavor and just seemed bland. The Masaman was requested to be “hot” it was neither spicy hot nor flavorful. Unfortunately pretty surroundings and great service don’t make up for lackluster food.

Compared to our usual local Thai place, Bangkok Thyme just doesn’t measure up.

This is a nice casual Thai restaurant. Enjoyed it as a Valentine's Day dinner. Nothing super fancy, but cozy and comfortable. The service was prompt and polite. The food was tasty. They have a full bar...but didn't have a bartender. The dish I had (the Sizzling Yakisoba) could have been more flavorful. But, overall, I enjoyed it.

The food was ordinary to say the least and worse was the people serving us. from the second, we sat on the table, people were pressing us to order for the kitchen being closed, even though we entered 80 minutes earlier than closing time. Also there was no pleasant expression on anyones face.. bad experience.

Diner Review №131

Fresh and delicious

Diner Review №132

I tried to have dinner there on a Sunday night at 8:20pm, that is over one hour before the posted time of closing. As I was waiting for my friend to arrive I was told ever so rudely by my waitress (who never actually invited me to place an order) that if I didn't order food within 5 minutes then I would have to leave because the kitchen would be closing. If this was the case then the hostess never should have seated me in the first place when I informed her upfront that I was meeting my friend there. If they have changed the closing time then they need to post the proper closing time. I've never heard of a restaurant not taking food orders a whole hour prior to closing time. My friend was moments from walking through the door to join me but I made the decision to get up and leave. In the five minutes I was sitting at my table, looking at the menu to decide what to order, I had overheard the waitress take a terrible tone to another table of patrons. In the midst of the incident, when I attempted to inform the waitress that she did not need to speak the situation in such a way that made it seem that me trying to give her my business was bothering her, indeed the waitress huffed and rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Really inappropriate. And really unnecessary. I've been patronizing this restaurant for the last two years and I've usually had decent experiences... but if this is the kind of service they find acceptable I feel no need to show up to request that kind of human interaction nor do I feel any urge to offer that type of person my money. Sadly, my friend just moved down the block from your restaurant and I was forseeing us making this a frequent dining spot but after tonight, no way, we won't be back. Bangkok Thyme if you are reading this, for the sake of your restaurant you really need to hire people who know how to offer a basic level of respect to their customers.

Diner Review №135

Both their thai food and sushi is solid. I eat here for lunch 3-4 times a month. The food is always good. Occasionally, it will seem as though they are short staffed during lunch, but for the most part, they are very responsive to your needs. If you like it really spicy, they have prik nam pla and dried chilis you can request.

Our neighborhood Thai spot. Food is solid actually and fairly authentic. Recommend the jungle curry. Service is average to below average. Just picked up food for tonight by ordering on doordash - no hello, no thank you, the two girls up front ignore you for a while until I have to ask. I receive the food and again it's not even "see you soon". A shame considering the food is actually pretty good.

Have to edit this review. On top of that, it was an incomplete order. We are missing one of the dishes. Unbelievable front staff.

Diner Review №142

Fun place to go and get half-price appetizers. Very nice ladies who work there

Diner Review №143

Diner Review №145

Ordered Stir-Fried Spicy Thai Basil Lunch using grub hub. I was completely disappointment in what i received. I tried to take this issue up with grub hub and old received a $1.36 refund because this order does not come with rice. The Grub Hub agent sated that since i got an extra item there was nothing o be done. So in reference to the picture, the amount of stir fry present is a lunch portion or they just didn’t have enough and added the rice and i hide that. Wow. These entirely vegetables. The chicken pieces are small and very thinly cut.

I also had the 6 Cream cheese crab Rangoon’s. I can honestly tell you that Panda Express basic Rangoon’s are better than theirs. I’m really shocked at my experience based on the reviews. But lesson learned. If i wasn’t at work I’d definitely take to the restaurant for a full refund. NEVER AGAIN.

Friendly staff when a request is made but over all but very unattentive. Not one time was I asked how my food taste as I could have relayed the message verses leaving a negative review.
