I’m so happy that I came to this place 😍 food was 10/10 service was great. The chef came to meet us and he was very kind the place is really clean and I loved the service I’m really grateful cause you guys opened this place. I absolutely love it and I’m coming back again. Thank you!!!
I had; Takoyaki, coconut shrimp, Rock and roll roll
Oceanic roll , crab wontons and spring egg rolls
And chicken ramen . Everything was delicious I’m so happy I found authentic food in this town. Absolutely recommend and I’m coming back to try everything on the menu!! Lol
We've been wanting to try this place for quite some time now. Mochi Thai and Japanese is where New Thai used to be and this place was recommended by some friends and family.
We arrived for dinner at around 5.30pm and was greeted by the server right away!! This place is a small and feels very homie. The 2 servers (didn't quite catch their names as they didn't mention their names to us) were very nice and accommodating. We ordered 5-6 items off the menu, they were Edamame, Tako Yaki (Japanese Octopus balls), Spider Roll, Chicken Pad Thai, Tonkatsu Ramen and Rock & Roll Roll. All of the items came out and a timely manner (didn't have to wait too long, perfect timing actually)
All of the food items tasted good. Although for the Takoyaki they should've used regular kewpie Mayo instead of spicy Mayo and with out the salads in the bottom (more authentic), and the Pad Thai noodles were just a little bit over cooked but tasted great! Very satisfied.
A small quaint little restaurant with both thai and japanese cuisine. I'm usually nervous with places that do a fusion of cuisine, but Mochi does very well for themselves. We had the takoyaki, angry alligator roll, and ramen. All three were delicious even though they weren't necessarily traditional.
Great spot for good eats!
I am not compelled to leave reviews often... Mochi has compelled me! HIGHEST compliments to this parent+son team. Mom is an amazing cook, she made my green curry tonight—creamy, flavorful (I saw the kaffir lime leaves) broth, and generous portion of tender delicious eggplant. Mochi the best Thai food in the area, and even rivaling spots in New York, period. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I wish I had access to this cooking all the time. If you’re reading this, don’t think about it anymore—just go!
My first time having my lunch with my friend. Well, One word, Amazing food and Good Service. Family runs business. Mom and Dad are cooking with their son taking care of us. We order Moo ping, Takoyaki, Nam sod , fried pork belly and Panang beef. Wonderful and tasty. We love them. I enjoy food and service. Thank you ka for your hard work. We feel the love you put in the food you cook for us. Thank you ka 😊
UPDATE: It's still amazing as the first time I tried it. The staff are the sweetest and welcoming. The thai tea is the best! The food is perfect! Definitely give Mochi Thai & Japanese a try, you won't regret it. Thank you! 🫶🏼
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The restaurant is beautiful as well as very clean, and staff are extremely welcoming, super friendly and professional. The food is flavorful and delicious. I loved the Thai tea. I highly recommend Mochi Thai & Japanese Restaurant; I definitely will be back!
Thank you 😊
*Update* So I’ve been back several times and have told everyone of this little gem. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always great. Will continue to come out, support, and try new items on their expansive menu!
Working on trying out local restaurants. This restaurant is literally down the street from me and have heard positive things about the food. We unfortunately didn’t get pass the appetizers but have plans to come back and try their entrees. Service was great, food came out immediately, and everything was delicious! I was expecting small portions for their price point but was pleasantly surprised by how hearty the appetizers were. Believe the hype. We will be back soon!

The food was delicious! We got the green curry, pad see ew and the salmon sushi special. Everything was top notch, fresh, nice size portions and the bathroom was v clean.
The food was amazing the service was very good it is a small storefront restaurant. The food is very good
I can’t believe it took us this long to go try out this restaurant. Best sushi and Pad Thai we’ve had in a while. We will be coming back for sure!
Avoid take out. 3x wrong orders, wrong items. $$$ which is ok if you get what you want. Items on menu were not what we got. Pork belly tough, sizzling steak was anything but... and not as described in menu.
This place has amazing food, but they need to do better on service, they barely pick up the phone on weekends or hang out the phone on you. 3 stars just for the poor service.
This Thai place is absolutely amazing! The green curry is incredibly flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices and creamy coconut milk. The Pad Thai is the best we have ever had—perfectly cooked noodles with a deliciously tangy, savory-sweet sauce. Every bite is a treat! Highly recommend this spot for authentic and mouthwatering Thai food.
Amazing Thai place...first time..

I had the chicken wings that were supposed to be Thai. Kentucky Fried Thai. Menu lacks many of the normal Thai restaurants offerings. Bland food.
I tried their Panang Curry, beef fried rice, & steamed gyoza. Everything was delicious and fresh. I will be back to try their sushi next time. Seemed like they do more take-out/delivery. The dining room was very small but had a cozy atmosphere.
I love coming here for authentic Thai food. I literally will not go anywhere that’s not here. 100% recommend.
Solid food, lacks customer service.
There are 1,000 things I can say about the quality and taste of the food (heavenly flavor to say the least) but there's 9,999 things I can say about the wholesome and welcoming service there. I highly recommend this place as it is our number one Thai place for now on.
Small place, great fresh food. Veggies and the food in general taste fresh. They take some time preparing, but very reasonable in that. Taste is great as well.

Loved the pad thai and the rice dishes.
Ginger shrimp was So good! I am lucky to find this place

This restaurant is definitely on my tops. The food was amazing and it was a small and quiet environment. There’s so many options and a wide variety of food. I definitely recommend and will be coming again.

The best Thai/Japanese fusion restaurant in town! Aside from really tasty yummy foods they serve, the people who runs this place are really nice and friendly family. <3
A Great place to visit for lunch and dinner. Great service is a good a idea to bring family here i ike tum yum soup
Hands down best Thai food on Palm Beach county. Panang curry had a rich savory broth with perfectly cooked veggies. Fried rice was awesome with great flavors. Glad we found this wonderful place for Thai cuisine.
Very small mom & pop food was fresh and very tasty we ordered 3 different heat levels and they were on point. Service was a little slow but worth the wait all three of us got our food together.
Very nice, the food was amazing.
Best crab rangoons I've had in the whole USA.
Amazing!
If I was a Michelin guide, I would
Give them 3 stars. Wonderful presentation, nice host and waiter, high quality food, great amount of food. Cozy place in a nice area
Excellant food!
The food here is like a warm hug. Crafted with such care and attention to flavor it feels like love. Easily the best Pad Thai I've ever had. The eggs alone were a joy, a marriage of fluffy, springy textures holding both sweet and savory notes. The staff felt stretched thin on the day we visited, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. The sushi got rave reviews from my husband and guest for its freshness and delicate flavors. The karaage chicken was crunchy and savory. What I'm saying is prepare for a wait with some green tea and pleasant conversation because a treasure like this is going to be sought after.
Wow what an amazing transformation 4 years ago they had a Thai restaurant with different owners and it wasn't so good but just recently this family of three mother father and son have taken over and they are making waves. The wait for the food was a little long but he was so worth it very clean and appropriate dining room I told them they should knock out a wall and make it bigger. Great authentic Japanese food along with a fusion of tie food too. We tried several appetizers and all of them were delicious.
The Thai food was so flavorful. Best Thai place in the area
Wow! This restaurant is a gem! Just delicious! A definitely must!
terrible service, so rude, food is just average.
Pig( it’s his name) waiter is the worst!
disregard likely paid reviews.
Excellent very tasty food! Had a wonderful evening. All of the food was delicious!
Absolutely delicious authentic Thai food.
Small family run restaurant. Amazing food. Barcelona roll is top tier. Great Thai food and curries as well.
Visited from out of town. Wish I could take this place back with me. Pad seew had great flavor and the chicken was fresh and plentiful. I would recommend asking for spice as it comes without.
Wasn't feeling well and was looking for ramen or brothy soups. Decided to try for the first time and was plesently surprised. Food was delicious and plentiful. They have a lot of 'comfort food' options. Will definitely continue to order from here
First time customer. I've been to japan and thailand and this food reminds me of my travels. I was blown away by the food. Service was great and they even gave us extra rice. Will definitely be back!
Size doesn’t matter. We almost didn’t go in because it looks too small… but everything here was amazing! The sauces on the Takoyaki were 💯. We shared the Pad See Eww w/ chicken. Excellent portion and super delicious!!The mouthwatering Fubotaki Roll was a great way to end our date. Very hardworking and attentive staff!
Cute little spot.. wonderful service. Delicious food. Hidden gem.
Food was absolutely amazing! And people are super nice.
Some of the best authentic ramen you'll ever find anywhere in the US!
This is a small, conveniently located restaurant in the Kobosko's plaza. The interior is very clean, well decorated, and very inviting. From the moment we walked in, the employees were very friendly and attentive.
The menu is traditional Japanese and Thai fare, with sushi, ramen, noodles, rice, and some others.
We started with spring rolls and gyoza (dumplings). Both were absolutely amazing. Some of the best gyoza I've ever had. The spring rolls were crispy, fresh, and piping hot. We also ordered hot tea and hot sake. The hot sake was hands down the best hot sake I've ever had. Amazing. The tea came in a very pretty teapot and with fancy teacups.
The Shoyu chicken ramen was absolutely incredible. The most authentic Japanese ramen I've ever had in the US. Brimming with flavor and texture. This ramen is truly something special. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and so were the noodles and veggies. The hot oil really set it off and made this a perfect ramen.
We also tried the Yaki Soba with chicken. Absolutely amazing. Tastes like the best Lo Mein you ever had. The food was truly so good that I didn't mind waiting at all. The price is average for the area and comes in at the same as other Thai and Japanese restaurants but obviously with much better food.
Please do yourselves a favor and give them a shot if you like great ramen. You'll keep coming back for more.
Sweet family home restaurant. They are very attentive when serving your food. If you are looking for Authentic Thai food this is the place for you. Best Thai tea I have ever tried and their shrimp blanket is to die for!. My favorite dish is the Beef Thai basil with white rice. Definitely a gem if you love Thai food.
I tried take away from Mochi Thai and Japanese Restaurant tonight for the first time. The curry puffs were so flavorful. The chicken tom kha soup was incredible. The lettuce wraps did not disappoint. Overall, this is a delicious family-owned restaurant, and I cannot wait to return
Love the food: always amazing quality, freshness and best tasting! Service is also incredible! Really enjoy it!
Delicious
Family owned and operated, delicious food, friendly staff. This place is a hidden gem!
💫💫💫💫💫
We ordered 5 different things and every one of them was 5 stars.
We will definitely be back whenever we’re in the area!
We had an awesome lunch here! Food and service quality was top notch. Bit was our server and was very attentive and kept our table clean and clear throughout our experience. We will definitely be back!
Amazing food, amazing service! I would say it is one of the best Thai & Japanese food in Wellington.
Tiny shop and a bit expensive but the food was amazing. The green curry was actually spicy and the veggies weren't too soggy or undercooked. Very nice and prompt staff.
I love this place! Out of the way. Hole in the wall. Amazing service and food. In Wellington, during the equestrian winter season it’s nice to have these tucked away places in your back pocket. Don’t all go there at once!
Family owned and operated restaurant ,food is delicious and service is great.
I just came back from Mochi Thai & Japanese Restaurant. We had an outstanding tasty meal. We are so thrilled to have such an awesome restaurant so close to us. I didn’t care for the predecessor restaurant, but his one is so good. We Tom Kha soup, Japanese dumplings, Ikura, Penang Curry and Nam Sod. They were all beautifully presented and so delicious. I like very spicy food and rarely get it. When they asked how many stars, 1-5, I said 6; and that was what I got. We will be coming here regularly in the future. It is our now favorite Thai restaurant.
Update: Went again on May 26. Another wonderful dinner. We had the Gyoza dumpling appetizer, massman curry and the night’s special Tuna Onzen. All very delicious.
Best of the best! Papa and his son are amazing hosts, food is unbelievable!
Excellent service and amazing food! Highly recommended!
Good quality, fresh and delicious. Family owners are very nice and polite. A+ service. We ordered duck with basil, highly recommend.
Ordered Pad Thai and Red Curry.
Best curry I have had in a long time. The wife also liked the Pad Thai a lot.
If you like Thai food, this is your local to go to spot
Very good food, big portions, great service ,very clean, definitely must try,you won't go wrong, family run business
Ive lived in wellington for almost 20 years and have tried plenty of different resturants. This without a doubt is the best place to go. If you don't come here, you are missing out.
Great flavors. Nice people. Highly recommend 👌
Delicious food and plenty of it. The chicken satay was fantastic. Service was very pleasant but unfortunately, there was no understanding of celiac dietary restrictions and I was served flour battered pork when I had specifically asked about wheat flour/gluten. This is a new bistro; clean and with a good vibe to it. Food takes a while to arrive, but it is freshly cooked and piping hot, well worth the wait. This would be 5* if not for the gluten issue.
We had both the sushi and Thai, and everything was so fresh and delicious! Portions are generous. Our waiter was wonderful too. Highly recommend!
This is hands down the best thai/sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve lived in the area for 20 years now and have never found a restaurant that has me going back multiple times a week!
Our first time here since this wonderful establishment took over and we can't say enough about the food and amazing service. You definitely won't break the bank on their delicious food. The portions are a nice size and everyone is so friendly. They are all very attentive and made sure we had all we needed. Definitely check out this hidden gem. Thank you Big and all the phenomenal staff.
Great service, great food, quiet atmosphere. It was perfect for my daughter's graduation dinner.
Best Thai/Ramen that has come to Wellington in many years. Everything I've had is absolutely amazing!!! Authentic and fresh in every way. The service is sooooooo good and so real, the owners really care and actually show you true hospitality. Best overall Thai/Sushi restaurant I've had and recommended to others and all agree. #1 incredible!!!!
THANK YOU MOCHI THAI
We had such a lovely lunch at this restaurant! My husband got the veggie spring rolls and chicken pad Thai and I got the Tom Kha soup and chicken pad Thai. Everything was so delicious! The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food came out quick and piping hot. This is my new go-to Thai place in the area!
Amazing food! Absolutely love the massaman Curry here, and the sushi rolls are amazing!
What a gem! The Thai food is solid but I was blown away by the sushi, which is the best I've had in the area. The chef and staff are great with families and kids. The chef brought out his own soy sauce recipe to try - delicious! It should be on the menu. He then brought out a piece of salmon sushi with eggs on top to try - on the house - and flambe'd it in front of me. Amazing! The place isn't huge inside - but the food coming out of this kitchen and the warmth of the place thanks to the staff make it something special. Don't miss.
So good, so fresh, so clean! My new favorite place! Very nice staff as well :) have tried the Japanese and Thai food and both were excellent!
Lovely small business thai and japanese restaurant. My parents and I’s food was all delicious and felt homemade. The service was also great and we will definitely be coming back many times more.
Wow! My wife and I just had our first meal from Mochi Thai and we are soooo happy! I am a pad Thai junky and I tried the dish twice from the previous Thai restaurant that was here and it just didn't work for me. This one does! Additionally, my wife was very happy with her red curry. The price was a little bit on the high side but, after having the meal I'll happily pony up a few bucks more, well worth the price. Welcome to the neighborhood Mochi, so glad you are here!!
Fantastic Food, Service and Staff!!!!!
Tried the Vegetable Pad Thai, the Red Curry, and the Agé Spicy Tofu, everything was delicious! Plus the owners were welcoming and attentive!
Great new little Thai and Japanese restaurant
the best sushi we've had since moving to wellington. really looking forward to making this a regular date night spot.
