Cute balloons and flowers for Valentine's Day. Didn't use the restrooms--can't comment on those. Pretty good parking for South tampa--, but we went early evening.

I love Thai food and try to eat in a Thai restaurant at least once when I am travelling. So whilst on business for 5 days in Tampa I was pleased to be able to eat dinner one night at "Pinto Thai". Pinto has a nice ambience, the ceiling decor is great so do look up, and a great menu. I started with the Chicken Satay which was great ($9) and followed with the Duck Drunken Noodles ($29) which were amazing. My friend had the Crispy Duck Panang ($29) and that was also amazing. I would certainly not hesitate to dine at Pinto Thai again when in Tampa.

For entrees, we went with the Panang Curry and Pad See Ew. The Panang Curry was the absolute star of the show. It was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I can't recommend it enough! The Pad See Ew, however, was a bit of a letdown. It wasn't bad, but it just seemed to be missing that certain something.

Overall, though, Pinto Thai is a hidden gem. The food is fresh, flavorful, and the portions are generous. Just be aware that parking can be a bit tricky on the weekends.

We mostly get takeout from here and it has never disappointed. We usually get the pad-see-ew with beef and pad Thai which are both great! The pad-see-ew is not too sweet like I’ve found at other places. Would recommend!

The food is bland. Mostly onions in their stir fry. Found a 12 inches string or dental floss in our ginger chicken dish and hardly can taste the ginger. My family and I would never return nor would I recommend this restaurant.

Horrible service!! I'm not sure of what kind of ethnicity the restaurant is supposed to be but it's certainly not Thai the flavors and textures of EVERYTHING they served was BIZARRE!!! Either one of us ate anything that was brought to the table and can not think of a worst way to spend money especially on Christmas!!!! So, unless you're seeking weird and gross food go there! I love Thai food. This was a disappointing experience for how high it was rated. No flavor, tasted like someone sprinkled dry ramen powder flavoring at the end of every dish. I'll keep searching for a good Thai place.

Recommend their classic Pad Thai, the Drunken Noodles, potstickers, and if you're a soup lover, don't miss their selection; soups were packed with flavor, fresh herbs, and veggies.

All in all, Pad Thai Restaurant is a great choice for takeout, with consistently high-quality dishes and quick, friendly service. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!

My baby and I are visiting Tampa for her birthday. We tried this spot last night and it was amazing! The food was superb! I didn’t get the gentlemen’s name who helped serve us last night, but he was amazing! He gave my baby ice cream for her birthday and he also gave her tea to take back to the room because she had a bad cough! Parking was easy as I’ve had a hard time trying to park at other establishments that I wanted to try! I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back when I visit again! Thank you again😁

We have this place to try after seeing the excellent reviews. We went for early dinner and there were only two other tables occupied. The service was terrible, messed up orders, drinks ordered didn’t come until our dinners came,, wrong food brought . Food was terrible. My soup was like warm, my beef my had literally 3 pieces of meat (ordered mild on both the soup and salad) absolutely no spice at all. Calamari was so rough and rubbery it was inedible.Margaritas brought on martini glasses? And they kept the rest of the drink that wouldn’t fit on the glass stating the bartender needed the shaker? Not sure how they have received such a high google rating

We went for dinner for 5 people, it was a very good environment and the food was fantastic, as if you were in the bar, as if you were in Thailand, the staff and the food were great and at very good prices, George was a fantastic, respected person. When I go back to America on vacation, I will go again.

The service is wonderful, the atmosphere is great but the food is the star. I had the Panang curry and it is my favorite ever and is now my personal comfort meal. It’s the best curry I have ever had.

I would rather have half the amount of food on my plate but better quality food. The food was a 2/5, edible but barely - maybe only if you’re really hungry, and I’m not a very picky person. Service was fine. Atmosphere was nice. I just am shocked at the 4.7 star rating for the food I was served.

Bad customer service. Pad thai was not good, we got mild but somehow its spicier than my hot panang curry. We asked our waiter if it’s correct, he said he will ask the kitchen but he didn’t until we got the bill. No one came to check in if we need anything or to fill our water. They did not give us any napkins or forks to use. I have to ask the waiter for one 10’ after the food came out, he forgot to bring it after refilling our water so I have to ask again. When they took our card away, they forgot to put it back on the tray to return it to us. We left without the card (which is our fault, should have double-checked). The guy was nice and apologized but the service was not good.

I am a loyal customer and frequent this place for the FOOD. I recently had a frustrating service experience. I arrived to pick up an order and had no immediate assistance, dispite being the only one there. After a few minutes, they informed me that their system was down and they needed to call the manager.
The manager asked for the total, which was under $20, and I ended up waiting for 20 minutes while they tried to figure things out. Despite resetting the system multiple times, it still wouldn’t accept payment. With a tropical storm outside, I was just trying to leave with or without my food.
Finally, they told me it would be another 20 minutes. I had decided I didn’t want the food anymore but I asked if I could pay online, and they casually mentioned that they have a means of doing that after I wasted 20 minutes there. The online total was $5 more than the in-store price. They agreed to include my $2.99 canned soda in the total to compensate.
I paid and left, only to be chased down by an employee claiming I hadn’t paid for the soda. After she tried to argue in the pouring rain, I handed over the soda and left.
I understand the technical difficulties but no effort to make it right is disheartening. I hope they can improve their service and communication in the future.

I've come in here for pickup orders a few times and spoke with the owner before, no problems, felt welcomed but today it was an awkward experience with an employee. Absolutely hate to make this review related to race but that seemed to be the case. I came in right after a light skinned man. An Indian looking female employee helped him almost right away, he got his to- go order and left. She made eye contact with me, didn't even say a word and went straight to the back, disappeared for several minutes, before showing up in a dining room full of drinks. Restuarant was somewhat busy so I get it if you are multitasking but absolutely no acknowledgement. Even a "I'll be right with you" would be more respectful. As she's serving the drinks to the customers dining in another light skinned customer enters the restaurant. When this female employee comes back to the bar, she still doesn't even say a single word to me and instead helps the 2nd light skinned customer that was not in the restaurant before me. After helping that customer she goes back to "acting" too busy to acknowledge me until I have to say "hey is that an order for _________" which had been sitting on the counter before i even entered the restaurant.. With me being an Asian descent, maybe she's ignorant & still thinks it's still 2020 and she will catch corona virus. Absolute bad look for this restuarant with the bar being the first place you pass/see upon entering the restaurant; if you aren't light skinned you'll probably be ignored until you ask for help. Have had bad experiences at fast food restaurants in the past but for a sit-down/to goirestaurant, she gives this restaurant a bad look.

We love getting Pinto Thai! The food is always well prepared. The vegetables are perfectly cooked. Some of our favorites are the Masaman curry because it has these chunks of potatoes that really soak up the sauce. We also love the drunken noodles every time. The noodles are cooked perfectly. They also correctly get the level of spiciness that you ordered!

Pinto Thai is great - My go-to at any new Thai restaurant is Pad Thai - if you get theirs recommend a side of peanut sauce to go with. Their “blanket shrimp” and red-curry are also good.

My order said would be ready by 925pm. I showed up at 907pm, thinking to grab drink while I wait. I was pleasantly surprised that food was already ready. Must have just came out as took me quick 5 mins to get home and it was still hot. It was very good and I enjoy thai food. Having dated a thai girl and from traveling in Thailand, I am aware of how dishes should taste. Give this place a try and you will enjoy.

Cannot stand the inconsistency from Pinto Thai. We order from them very frequently because we enjoy their food but our Uber eats orders are usually messed up. Last time they gave us green mangos with our sticky rice. It was so bad we couldn’t eat it. The time before that they forgot our Thai teas. And this time they forgot our white rice to go with our massaman order. We reached out to ubereats and were told they couldn’t compensate us because the rice isn’t an actual item. What? What do you mean? It comes with the massaman! So frustrating from a restaurant that you like but can’t seem to get their act together.
Update: the owner contacted me to find out what happened and try to make things right. I really appreciated he took the time to listen and offer to compensate me for the missing item. Like I mentioned, I’ve always enjoyed their food and was annoyed by the whole thing. I truly am thankful for the owner reaching out since Ubereats didn’t offer to compensate me for the missing food. They’ve won m over with their customer service and I will be ordering back from them again.

We were visiting Tampa and this restaurant seemed reliable . The service was very slow , food was bad. We waited 10 minutes to get our water.First we ordered sampler plater and told the server we don't eat pork asked to substitute egg roll , we got served the pork potsticker .After first course the entree took 1 hour to come out after multiple request.
Chicken fried rice was good .Tofu fried rice and basil tofu were very bad . Tofu were fried so dry you can't even chew..it became like cardboard. I thing there were not enough staff in the kitchen that day because all the orders were taking very long time to come out.

Visited for the first time. The ambience is very nice and the wait staff was extremely pleasant and courteous. Food portions were generous. I ordered the curry: hardly any vegetables and very very salty. I would return but definitely order something different.

The place is nice the service is great I believe the good is good but not great and there's room for improvement. We had the fried rice it was good, crazy amount of onions maybe a bit less, the taste was nice but still room for improvement. The wonton soup was just ok, lots of room for improvement here. The coconut soup was amazing one of the best I have tried and the duck was ok the basil sauce that we asked on the side was delicious however the duck was dry and with not a lot of flavor, this can improve a lot also

Only issue I have is EVERY TIME I order food through Uber eats they DO NOT include utensils to eat this amazing food. No matter if you click the button to add utensils or make a note, they are NEVER INCLUDED. Other than that important detail to enjoy their amazing food, definitely go there to eat. I’m sure utensils will not be a dine in issue.
Note: less than 2 min after I posted this the owner called me and offered to deliver utensils. That’s called integrity and love for his product and service. I hope we have the opportunity to meet up for that beer. Thank you

Phad Thai was exceptional

Hidden in a strip mall dominated by an Italian restaurant is a good, moderately priced Asian restaurant. The menu is expansive, but not the hundred plus list in similar Asian restaurants. I had the Singapore Noodles and the portion was generous with a large number of shrimp. I ask for medium spice and there was some “kick” to the noodles, so if you’re sensitive to spicy dishes, order 1 level below your normal ask. Crab Rangoon had a creamy interior, but the pastry was overcooked – but tasty when dipped in the sweet Thait chili sauce. The prices are remarkably low. Not a “fancy” place, but a good, repeatable restaurant. Service was prompt and knowledgeable.

I lived in Australia for 10 years and had some pretty outstanding authentic Thai food and Pinto Thai ranks higher than most places I’ve tried. The service is also impeccable and incredibly attentive. I've dined in and taken out here, and the quality of the food is great. When they get it right, it's amazing! However, I've ordered take out about a dozen times so far and they've messed up the order 4 of those times, including tonight. Those are NOT good averages. Obviously, I should check the food prior to leaving with the order - however, it's hard to tell off of a glance when they fail to make the order with the proper meat you requested, or heat level you selected. The staff overall is very kind and well meaning, but often incompetent. Overall, I would recommend, as long as you're flexible and patient.

And it’s super convenient to park and run in and grab. However, on the way home, one of the container’s lids was not on securely so I ended up with more than half the sauce on my passenger side mats. I called after arriving back home and they offered to remake the curry no questions asked. I made sure to double check the lid on my return trip though …Overall, we were happy with the flavor, quality and portion size but took off a star for the inconvenience.

Food was hot and on time. My husband enjoyed his pineapple fried rice w/ shrimp. The crab Rangoon was 50/50 - not a normal Rangoon, inside was yellow and strong turmeric taste. Pad Thai mild was ok , nothing to rave about, the mild had little to no flavor will try medium next time.

Pinto Thai is a great place to go especially for family’s and any celebration. The service is the best I’ve ever got from a restaurant and the food was fantastic. I definitely recommend

Yoo 🤤 My wife and I absolutely loved our evening here. Highly recommend for great and authentic tasting Tai food. We had the Tom Yom soup, yum duck salad and curry masaman. Not to mention but the drinks were well made too!

The food is outstanding. The curries, fried rice, dumplings and spicy edamame are all recommended. And, if you ask them to make it spicy, they will not disappoint! Very fast delivery. Our go to Thai restaurant in Tampa.

Pinto Thai is a treasure in our neighborhood. The flavors are beautifully balanced. I only wished for a few more solid ingredients in my shrimp panang.

Amazing family owned gem!

I had a poor experience here several times. I ordered pick up and I received the wrong item - I contacted the restaurant and they said they could not give me a refund but will credit me for a similar dish next time. I went back and the manager refused to honor the credit (this was in writing via email) - very frustrating and will not be going back.

This place has the best Thai food in Tampa, it is the only Thai restaurant I will eat at in this area. The flavors are delicate and not overly sweet or salty like most other Thai restaurants, if you have an exquisite palate you will enjoy the beautiful balance of flavors here. My favorite dish to order here is the drunken noodles, it is simply amazing! My 5 yr old son, a very picky eater, loves the chicken satay and chicken noodle soup here. I usually order 2 orders of the chicken satay and he eats it all! The servers treat you more like family here and are very kind and courteous. We love coming here and I used to never eat Thai food bc it was always too sweet or salty or greasy…not this place….this place makes authentic Thai food with well-balanced flavors and quality ingredients! Highly recommend!

We ordered beef noodle soups, when we get there we received just two very small containers of soup, no worries the size was smaller than expected, we asked to make sure we got the right thing and they said "you ordered beef noodle soup, not thai beef noodle soup".. what lmao? We are very confused but sure, no problem, we just say, "ok, no worries, where are the noodles?", to which they respond "they're in there". Obviously, there's no noodles in the tiny container lol. Can't make up this scenario I'm pretty sure I'll be confused about this for the rest of my life lol.

Response to response: You made exactly what we ordered? Strange, you would think there would be noodles in the noodle soup lol. Mistakes happen, but again, we only received two small containers of the broth, meat, and veggies.. no noodles. No worries that it was small and I understand you guys have two separate items for noodle soup, though that is strange. But we told you guys we did not get noodles, to which we were assured there were noodles in the container. Not wanting to argue we just left it at that, and ate the soup without noodles haha.
