We had miso soup and 4 rolls. The man roll, Amanda roll, Brit Volcano, and the salmon lover. It was all very good and different from what we usually see in sushi restaurants.

The food here is great! I enjoyed my Crab Rangoon here. The chicken curry had a great flavor to it, as well as the rice. My sushi tasted alright, but it wasn’t excellent as the curry. Overall, would come here if you’re willing to get some Japanese food in Downtown Tampa.

They also have a few cold tea drinks but there is no dairy-free options as they told us it's all pre-made for the day. Water self serve station is available. We'll definitely be coming back to try out all the rolls they offer.

Popped into here the other day for lunch and was impressed with the value of the food for the price. I had a poke bowl with 3 different kinds of fish and it was all delicious. Definitely would go back. Sushi places have become so expensive that I don't like going to them much anymore, but this place I can still swing sometimes. Will definitely go back to try the rolls.

Absolutely delish sushi, GOOD portions of fish in each roll and in the sushi burrito! The steamed gyoza was HOT and tasted fresh. Very reasonable prices as well. Friendly staff. No photos because we ate it so fast haha.

My coworkers and I decided to come here after passing by while looking for a place to eat. We were in the mood for sushi, and this small restaurant seemed like a good choice, as I thought they would prepare the food quickly. Unfortunately, I was very wrong.

First off, the restaurant was more crowded inside than it appeared from the outside. I understand that the time we visited was quite busy, and we ordered eight rolls but only received six. Coincidentally, the two missing rolls were mine. I noticed that others who arrived after us received their orders, and not once did the staff or the owner check in to see if we had received our food or how it was.

After 40 minutes, one of the staff members asked what I had ordered and mentioned that they were making it right then. By this time, my coworkers had already finished their meals. Frustrated, I went to the register to ask for a refund. Instead of apologizing for the delay or the mix-up, the owner dismissively told the staff to just give me my money back.

I will be telling my coworkers and anyone else I know to avoid this establishment. For local patrons, I hope you don't experience the same issues I did. In my experience, owners like this may treat you well one day but can just as quickly turn on you.

A great lunch for a good price with friendly and quick service! The only downside would be that the inside seating is limited and because it’s an open air kitchen, it gets pretty warm in there.

OnARoll is a small fast food restaurant where you order sushi and other East Asian dishes at the counter, and they call your name when it's ready. The interior is similar to what you might see at a Subway restaurant with a couple tables and a refrigerator stocked with drink options. It looked very clean when I was there.

I thought their menu looked absolutely enormous. In fact, I learned it's even larger than it looks; around dinner time, I ordered a bento box and was informed that the dinner bento box is actually larger and a couple dollars more expensive than the lunch bento box printed in their menu, which I guess they didn't have enough space to fit.

The bento box was good food and good sushi for the price. I would recommend this place if you want some good sushi to-go.

Google says your open, GrubHub says your open the only person who doesn't know your open on a Sunday is you.....Update your vendors with correct information. You just had a delivery drive go to the restaurant to pick up a delivery only to be closed. Each roll is also marked up $2-$3 for GrubHub know this when placing your canceled order.

On the roll, sushi has become a weekly destination. The service is good, the food is delicious and the service is good and it’s delicious.

Not really what I was expecting for a sushi shop but still decent food. Kind of difficult to get to if you follow Google maps. It’s in the little strip of shops in between. More rolls than you can imagine. Tasty too!

IMO too expensive for mediocre sushi. Highly recommend going to Kelp instead to get the bang for your buck.

Egg rolls were absolutely immaculate. I have never had an eggroll of that quality. Sushi was great as well, especially for the price!

Small, very casual diner. My girlfriend and I were excited to go out on date night so we decided to see what this place was all about. We started out by using the restroom because we have been walking downtown for awhile. There was an employee sitting down at a table and asked us if we were going to order, at first we said yes but then changed our mind and decided to leave. As we were walking out he said, “you know we don’t like liars right?” I’m in the service industry myself and that is absolutely no way to talk to a guest of any kind. Very disappointed in this establishment and how we were treated. 1 Star experience without even trying the food. We should not feel talked down upon just because we changed our mind.

Probably the best sushi I've had in a while. Very busy, but efficient staff. Small dining area inside, but more seating outside, which was nice considering it was a nice day out.

Everything about this place was awesome! Service was on point. Food was amazing and well priced, for sushi. It was clean and well kept. Lots of selections on the menu, including about 4-5 choices for the kiddos. We will definitely be coming back!

Walked in because the boba sign caught my eye. Planned on buying something and they didn’t have what i thought they would have. Mean while my sister walked into the bathroom and the man (employee) who was sitting down not working turned and looked at me and said it wasn’t a public bathroom. Super rude considering it was a child in the bathroom. I understand if it was busy but the place was empty and I completely understand not being a public restroom but it was a child.

I ordered about 5 different rolls for takeout. The employees were really kind and patient while I decided. The wait was about 15 mins or so, which wasn’t bad considering I didn’t order over the phone. The sushi was delicious as well. I love that they have so many options for cooked sushi. Definitely will be going back to try more of their menu.

Ordered a poke bowl with salmon and tuna, the service was really quick. It was a really small portion, everything was wet, and I first thought they forgot the tuna, but it turned out the red 'stuff' in the bowl was this weird tuna paste. I haven't tried their sushi, maybe they do that better, I don't know.

Edit: A couple of weeks later my colleagues wanted to order from this place and I decided to try again. The bento box is great, everything tasted fresh and the portion was generous, exactly right.

Wow. I don't like sushi but they cooked it for me and fried it and helped me find something good on the menu. I was thinking about sushi while I was eating my dinner.

Came here around 2pm on a Thursday ordered to-go, I’ve been here times before and continue coming back because I love their sushi. However this time we ordered to go and my girlfriend grabbed exactly 4 extra napkins and one of the employees yelled and said “we already gave you some in the bag” we proceeded to check the bag, and there was no napkins. And then he said “is that enough napkins” after the fact. As I’m aware this might sound dumb it was rude and unnecessary. I did not appreciate the service.

The best chicken rice soup and the eel roll!

Sushi was overly covered in mayo, rice wrapped lossy and skimpy on the ginger. The orange chicken was alright according to my kid. The guy at the counter was rude to everyone. I think he might be an owner. Smallest amount of ginger and Wasabi.

We were looking for sushi after visiting The Florida Aquarium. We founf OnARoll Sushi it was not only delicious but the service was outstanding. I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong roll or if it was entered incorrectly but the chefs were very accommodating and especially very nice about making another roll. BOTH rolls delicious but it's their tremendous service that truly made the experience a phenomenal one. M roll is now one of my all time favorites! Thank you all so much! Awesome staff and Chefs!

Until today, it had been at least 5 years since I last ate here. I should have stayed away. As others have mentioned, the spicy tuna is ground to mush which is very unappealing. Add to it that I was given no wasabi or ginger with my to-go order and my Thai iced tea was all ice, and that's the last time I spend my money at OnARoll. Is it safe to assume the store is under new ownership? It surely has gone downhill quickly.

I have been trying to get here for a long time and finally swung in for lunch.. quick service since it was closer to 2p and empty, tried a bowl thinking it would be more quantity but got a few thin slices of tuna on top and maybe an 1/8 of a avocado. I know supply chain times are tough but for $11 or $12 it just wasn’t much on the flavor side.

Got the chicken bento box with peanut sauce. Fiancée got same but with orange chicken.

Sushi is great and sometimes I like to order the "Bento Box" if you want a little bit of everything.

The "Bento Box" has sushi, rice with chicken, salad, egg rolls and soup.

Today, I visited for lunch and placed my to go order in online. When I got there, I waited on my rolls to be done .. while sitting there waiting, the taller guy with black hair which is the one usually making the rolls continued to side eye me the entire time which I already felt was weird. I proceeded to the counter when my food was ready and asked for a eel sauce and yum yum which I added and paid for with my order but it was not in the bag. I let the guy know that I will pay for it if needed. The guy who was side eying me the entire time!! BUTS INTO MY CONVERSATION with the other employee and rudely says “no, you don’t get those if you didn’t order or pay for it” so I said “I actually did order it when placing my order and it has already been paid for” the cashier looks at my receipt and confirms that I did indeed pay for the sauces. The employee did not once apologize or anything. I called back to confirm that I did not appreciate that and I will not ever spend my money with them again.

Let’s leave it at that. The star is for the nice cashier guy otherwise its a no star.

Visiting downtown Tampa for the day and decided to try this place. They have a good location and I assume they are pretty popular because there was a nice sized crowd by the time I ordered. After receiving our food we walked outside to enjoy the weather, so when I opened my to go order. And I was about to grab a roll from my volcano rolls. I saw a piece of hair in the center of the roll. I walked back over and asked for a refund due to the line, and I knew I didn't have time to wait. The lady tried to tell me that it was not hair but a piece of the wood from my chopsticks, I explained to her that it would not be possible to get the chopsticks all the way in the center of the roll if I had just opened them and I had just opened the food container. She seemed upset and handed me back $15 from her purse. Wish I could have had a better experience, my husband seemed to enjoy his, but you only have one chance to make a first impression .

I can’t put into words how much I like this place, if you think they are amazing already, wait until you try their catering. Food is always fresh and flavorful, their individual plates look and taste amazing and their catering isn’t the exception. Just, amazing. My family and I had 200 rolls + appetizers for our Christmas dinner and still the next day very fresh. Stopped by before dropping off someone at the airport. Nice area, very chill spot. Got the spring rolls and a California and Tampa roll. Tampa roll was a pretty dang good size, I was surprised. Prices seemed pretty fair to me. The peanut sauce for the rolls was also top notch. Nice and thick, not runny like other places.

My first time here and I’ve literally been to almost all the sushi, Thai, Korean, and Japanese restaurants in Tampa Bay. This place is delicious and in walking distance from the Hilton.

Saturday’s menu states they don’t sell Thai food. The man working the cash register explained the difference between a couple Curry bowls and accepted the order of the “ 3 Hungover guys” in front of us. When my family was ready to order we asked about the bowls he was speaking of and we’re told “we weren’t making Thai food today”. We accepted the answer and ordered Sushi, I chose theSpicy Salmon Roll. For my first experience I am disappointed. Completely unprofessional.

Went for a quick lunch with my husband. I was very happy choosing this place as the service was excellent and super fast. One fine quick eats i would recommend if you are looking for a nice authentic sushi place. This place doesn’t have just sushi but has all that will be there in a Thai restaurant. We ordered Tom yum soup ( shrimp ) ,caijun sushi roll , fried rice( chicken ) , boba Thai tea & mango sticky rice.

To be very honest we loved everything especially the Tom yum soup was so delicious and comforting. Sushi and fried rice were top notch. Mango sticky rice was super delicious 🤤 Would come back surely again 😄 highly recommend 😄

One of the best Volcano rolls I’ve ever had! Great sushi selections and perfect portions.

Always a great experience. Once an Uber Eats driver grabbed the wrong order from this place, and I didn't even try to get the order fixed because I liked all of the rolls that were accidentally delivered. So delicious!

Quality place to eat in or takeout! Very friendly staff, we have visited probably 10 times in the past 2 months, ans they remember us each time. We usually eat in ghe morning for maximum freshness, but even at 6pm on a thrusday the food was prompt and tasty. i hope they keep doing things how they do them!

Great service, fairly fast, awesome food, the usual good stuff, right? But I'm most impressed by their MASSIVE menu. Custom-built sushi is already enough to run a business from, but they also have a wide variety of house rolls and a pretty extensive Thai curry menu.

My law firm and I ordered a large order from this restaurant and Gina and her husband were very professional, kind and went above and beyond to make sure our food arrived at our firm on time. I will definitely order from them again and I highly recommend everyone give them a try. Their food is amazing.

Absolutely amazing!! The atmosphere, the menu, the prices, it was so utterly worth it. Yes, from the car it's a bit hard to find, but the beauty of it is parking and walking to the shop in question to see such a charming pearl of a place. The birthday roll, the 911 roll, and the popcorn lobster roll was what we had, along with steamed gyoza. One bite, and I was in love with the birthday roll. The sauces, the taste. You could just feel the love and passion ooze from them. The spicy mayo? Perfection. It was the right kind of spicy, that hugged your throat with that perfect burn to make you feel all warm and cozy. Overall? So worth it, and so in love. The owners are absolutely sweet, and the presentation of the food is truly precious. If you want sushi in the downtown? 100% go here. You won't regret doing the little treasure hunt, for such a spectacular pearl.

Very nice little place! Don’t miss it and feel free to ask for the sushi you want, on or off the menu! I got a spicy tuna and a salmon skin hand roll!! Yum!

Nice place

So happy my wife and I came here today. Very friendly welcoming atmosphere. Clean and taking extra precautions with keeping hand sanitizer at every table. We ordered Sushi, soup, salad and Iced Coffee/Ice Tea for our drinks. Every single thing was delicious!! We're so thankful that we live close by and will definitely be back for another lunch date.

So fhe Sushi was fairly good. Service was great and friendly. But it is all pretty pricey for what you get. Also the appetizers we got were not good, we tried several. And the boba tea is not popping boba which is yucky to me, I only want popping boba tea. Also, the green tea was not very good anyway. The Thai tea was good and is probably very good without the boba. Hint hint store, get popping boba yall.

Just walking by to the trolley, I'm from MN just visiting. This was by far the highest quality sushi I've ever had for the price. Paid $8 per roll for 10 pieces each, great quality tuna. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Staff were nice as well. Only complaint is that I'll probably never get to eat here again 😕
