Absolutely amazing Thai fusion food. There is inside and outside dining. Upon being seated, we were greeted by a very friendly server who suggested the Japanese hot sake when we asked which to have. A very good choice. We ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken which had raisins, pineapple, cashews, carrots, and broccoli served in a half a pineapple. Wow….absolutely delicious and a huge serving. The pineapple was deliciously sweet and the fried rice with all the other ingredients was very tasty. We also ordered the Crispy Grouper which is a lightly battered fried grouper over a bed of vegetables and jasmine rice with Thai basil sauce. This was truly a delicious meal with the grouper melting in your mouth. A very flavorful dish. Highly recommend.

Since Thailand used to be like my second home whenever I go to Thai restaurants I seek for that authentic flavor. The food here was decent not impressive. Some were good some were okay. The service was nice and liked the sitting area outside.

UPDATED: Dined in person and got the same order. But they didn't ask me for spicy level and the drunken noodles came non-spicy and not delicious at all 😞

We were just in the area looking for a place to sit down, and found Sab! The stuff was super quick, attentive and friendly. They were very helpful than figuring out what we wanted and talking us through the spice levels.

Sab Cafe @ is an excellent Thai Family run restaurant on the beach of St Petersburg of Tampa region of Florida. The food is Superb and Great taste. We tasted various Dishes for the first time. We, a team of 13 + 1 kid enjoyed a lot. We all appreciate the culinary expertise of Mr OBI, the Master Chef of the Sab Cafe and also we enjoyed our native words in his voice during our interaction.

A nice hot and spicy curry meal on the rare cool day in St. Pete. The service was great, panang curry was delicious and a very big portion for the $15 lunch. I enjoyed sitting outside. Will definitely return.

I got the veggie udon miso it was delicious! And the Tom ka was great. I was so sick and broth was all I could eat and the food here healed my tummy. It was also a good price for the amount of food you get. Delivery took less than a half hour. I wish they were open on Mondays! Because I wanted to order more soup today. I can’t wait to get more! The udon noodles were cooked perfectly and they were open late on a sunday

Fantastic spot for Thai food! The dishes were incredible, and this will definitely be my go-to place for Thai cuisine.

Ordered a Togo summer roll with shrimp and a tom kha soup with shrimp. The summer rolls had one shrimp each and the soup had one shrimp. When I went back in to ask about it the owner was extremely defensive and said I probably ate the shrimp already. I was willing to let them fix the issue but her aggressive arguments and nature turned me off and I asked for my money back. She became more agitated and started swearing, so I said listen lady just shut up and Ive me my money back- she threw my card in my face and lost it. She called security who later agreed she was the aggressor and noted my calm demeanor in the situation. I’ve been going to this restaurant for years and have recommended it to many people that frequent the Ale & Witch. It’s unfortunate that someone’s mental health issue and lack of business acumen would ruin a long standing relationship… over a couple of shrimp. Geez. Get it together Sab.

The pho isn't pho. It's just regular broth. The bean sprouts were brown and slimy. The beef (paid extra for) was tough and the amount was tiny.

The food was awful. No flavor in any of the food. Miso soup tasted like hot water, bao bun would’ve been better to get from the frozen food section as it was soggy and tasted like sourdough bread, and the red curry was also flavorless. Save yourself some money and go to a frozen food section of your local grocery store and it’ll taste better than this garbage

Amazing food and Wonderful service, I’ve been here with my girlfriend 3 times in the last week and we can’t get enough, the server even remembered where we sat and what I ordered. The food is incredible and I LOVE the Crab Rangoons and the drinks are delicious too. My girlfriend gets the miso soup and veggie summer rolls and still craves them after we leave. I highly recommend coming here if you want a good Thai experience.

Sab Asian Fusion is located on downtown St Pete in the middle of a block near a courtyard which frequently has live music. The lighting is quaint. Mellow vibes. Nice city view. Food is excellent. I am a local and this is on my list of faves.

The kind of place that has Tom yum goong Thai soup that is pretty accurate for the broth but no lemon grass or galanga in their recipe. Hot sake was mighty fine. Street side atmosphere makes for easy in and out.

We stopped in last month after doing events in st Pete and I'm glad we did! We sat out and had great atmosphere of everyone passing by.

The food was great! We ended up ordering medium heat dishes (a curry and a fried rice) because that was the lowest spice level on the menu but then heard them mention there was a mild to other customers. Guess we looked like we could handle it (spoiler, we barely could!) It was also very temperature hot when it came out which was fantastic.

Service was great and if you're in area and like Thai food, especially spicy, definitely stop in!

Got the panang curry with beef & fried tofu. It was all just mid and slightly overpriced for how mid it was. The curry was spicy but with no real substance to it, like it was just spicy to cover up that it was bland. Beef was mid. Basically I was bored with it all and felt like I wasted $40 when I could have eaten something mid at home for free, ha!

Also the menu on Door Dash only displays half the menu, had to use Uber Eats to see full options.

Walked in for lunch without reservation and had a great experience. Server was excellent! she made suggestions for our order and gave us great advice on how much spice to add (Medium for me). Food was served shortly...and it did not disappoint. Delicious soup and appetizers first, then curry chicken and rice soon after. Everything was better than expected!!! Great job Sab Cafe.

Sat down this morning as they seemed open and waited for a menu. Instead a waitress rudely comes up and slams a sign on the table that says “for Sab Cafe customers ONLY!!” without a word and walks off. Were they not open yet? Did they not want me seated in their section for a particular reason? As I walked next door to Paradeco I noticed that every single table had an aggressive sign on it and not a single customer. Should change their name to Sad Cafe.

One of my fave Thai places in st Pete. Fresh, delish and clean.

We like this place as a good alternative to some of the more expensive places in st pete.

1. Hair in the food.
2. Flies in the restaurant. If you point this out, they don’t care.
3. As you walk out, they’ll accuse you of not paying even after you’ve used the QR code on the receipt to pay through the app.

Avoid this place.

I’ve been ordering Chicken fried rice from here at least once a week for a while now and they are the best in town. 12/10 would recommend

They’re quite saucy here! Both the Garlic stir fry w/scallops & the Beef bulgogi had LOTS of yummy sauce. Excellently prepared and seasoned. Super quick out the kitchen, too. And they’re quite specific in your spice level preference. Thai hot had quite a decent kick. Suuuper nice service, great location in the Waterfront arts district. Best part is you get enough food to take home or hotel and enjoy again!

Excellent veggie drunken noodle, and service! Particularly liked having mushrooms, broccoli and zucchini. A little lettuce really helped soak up the sauce.
Tom Gai soup was unimpressive and was little more than hot broth with partially cooked veggies (from a stir fry dish?).
Can’t wait to try the curries.

Manager/Owner was very RUDE! I told her I did not like my drink and she basically asked me why did I order? And then proceeded to not offer a solution and never came back to the table once to even apologize. I’m sorry but I am big on customer service and this has totally turned me away from ever wanting to eat there again! Terrible service!!

Love this place! Food is spectacular and the small outside bar is great! Our bartender Valerie was super friendly and attentive. It can be slightly difficult to notice there is an indoor cafe, it is behind the outdoor bar in the back. You can hear the live music on weekends from the courtyard. They also have great sake.

Family owned restaurant, great service, friendly and respectful staff and the food is just amazing and so much flavor. This is my wife favorite Thai restaurant in all Tampa Bay Area.

The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. Love the outdoor experience. Sake and drink selections are great as well. If you want a place that is in a great location and affordable food, try this place. Every dish tastes great!

Don't post your closing time online as 10pm if you close at 9pm.

Please either honor your posted hours, or correct them. Both your online listings and the physical sign on the door say you close at 10pm on Sundays. I walked up at 9:05 to place a to go order and was informed you are actually closed at 9 today, when I pointed to the sign on the door the woman I spoke with just shrugged and said "Yeah I know, but we're closed, sorry".

I gave this place 3 stars because the food is very good, but the service is NOT. I went to eat here with my family and the waitress and bus girl were very dismissive & rude, the entire time.
The waitress snapped at my 4 year old son when he asked for juice. We never even got a simple water refill. The only reason I didn't get up and leave, is because I did not want to ruin my dad's Father's Day by uprooting my entire family.
I really hope that they were just having a bad day, but I doubt it.

Sadly, never got to try the food. Google shows them open til 10p tonight. I went there at 8:50p. They said "sorry we closed at 9." I pointed out it was 10 to 9. They said "sorry."

Not sure why they closed so early. The streets are full of people. Bars have lines, and the ice cream joint around the corner has lines out the door.

Ordered the green curry with chicken and it definitely lacked flavor. It said spicy on the menu but wasn't spicy at all. I had to add a lot of limes, chili flakes and basil to make it more flavorful and it was still missing something... Maybe i'll come back and try the red curry to see if it is better.

I'm not one to rate things but my experience here should be noted. I ordered through uber eats, received the wrong order, gave the order back. Driver states that she told them that she didn't think the order was correct, she stated there were 2 orders, one for Michael and Michele. She clarified that she needed the order for Michele, they gave her the order they wrote as Michele. I call them to correct this, the hostess says she will contact uber. I call back to see what is being done about my order, I get the owner Valerie who proceeds to explain that uber will be contacting me and giving a refund (which I'm still waiting for). I asked her to clarify where it went wrong, was the driver or you. Valerie proceeds to explain with an attitude what happened and the mistake was on their end, they wrote the wrong name on the order and therefore handed off 2 wrong orders. Valerie then with a raised tone to a paid customer who just wants the food she ordered, said there's nothing she could do and hung up on me. She should own a business in the service industry.

We ordered a few items through delivery and they were all very well packaged and still warm when we received them. This picture is of the oxtail pho. Very clean broth and there’s a lot of meat, including pieces of steak. The bowls of pho come with an entire separate container of fixings. The thai tea was very concentrated as well.

Would not accept 100$ for a 40 dollar tab. The waitress and manager were completely mean about it. I dont leave negative reviews. This warranted it

Great authentic Thai/Asian food at a great price. This is a great place If you don’t feel like waiting for overpriced/crowded restaurants on the weekend. Awesome appetizers, cheap drinks, and really good boba teas. Would recommend to anyone. Terrific prompt service too.

This place is fantastic!! So much great food. Was in St. Petersburg for a week, ate there at least three times!! Couldn’t have been happier.

Maybe 5 years ago this was the first restaurant I ever tried pho and I was amazed. After moving back to st Pete and seeing the transformation of the pier I was hoping this gem stayed in tact. But after my last experience I could not be more disappointed. I order my food to go because they are only doing outside eating. I firstly had to wait 15 mins after my wait time. I ordered a glass of wine which was 8 dollars and one of the cheap miniature bottles from Publix when I can get a whole decent bottle for less than a 2 oz pour. Now on to the food. First of all My boyfriend ordered pad Thai which was greasy and mediocre. And my pho! What can i say, the place that made me love this dish just delivered the worst version of it I’ve ever had. Firstly the pieces of steak looked like discards from a bad steak house, and would’ve maybe been worse if they hadn’t put the steak in the soup mix which was just hot brown water with pieces of garlic in it. Even after inquiring why they put the steak in the soup instead of on the side like every other place I’ve ever been they simply said “we don’t do it that way” a once great little local gem has gone completely downhill. Stay far away.

Go to the four of us have traveled together to Thailand and a big fans of time food. We were thoroughly impressed at Sab Café. The crispy duck, pad Thai, Currys and bun are all spot on.

I want to help local businesses during the pandemic however the Customer service is very bad. We had bad experience though several times and couldn’t tolerate anymore. So my husband went there to pick up food. There is sign says “Do Not Enter”, so my husband stand outside where the hub is for 10 minutes with no one coming out to check. Then another customer who sits out there told him to get closer to the main door to get attention. Finally the staff come out. So my husband mentioned that it will be more helpful if they can put a sign out and pointing where to order or pick up food out of kindness to help them. But the staff replied: “Everyone knows where to stand.”
I don’t think anyone who hear that would be happy. First, Not everyone here is a returning customer. Do not assume that everyone know without a sign. Second, the staff was Very rude to say that. Nevertheless this place has been shut down before by Department of Health. We will never come back to this place again.

This is simply the restaurant everyone likes. I probably come here too much, but even then I have never had a disappointing experience. Everything is quite authentic, and the person who usually takes orders is extremely nice and accommodating. The restaurant itself is so quaint and feels nestled away yet it’s right in the middle of everything.

So everything here is really good and while the Pad Thai is authentic (not drenched in processed sauce), I read other reviews saying the spicy Pad Thai wasn’t spicy. I ordered the medium (because I only like a little spice and they don’t have a mild option) and it was so spicy I couldn’t eat more than a couple bites and my mouth was on fire to the point where I couldn’t taste anything. I’ve had tons of phenomenal Pad Thai including in Thailand- it doesn’t have to be that spicy to be good.

This location is great. I went here for the first time yesterday. We got the Pad Thai and the Tom Kah soup. This was very good and not drentched in sauce. I would go back here again. They have Gluten Free and Vegan options too. Great outdoor seating.

I have ordered from here multiple times and generally highly recommend it. I don't know what happened today. There was red pepper EVERYWHERE, including the pho which is not supposed to have any spiciness to it. It was inedible. I ordered multiple meals and all were floating in red pepper flakes. Very disappointed.

We ordered during the quarantine via Uber eats. The amount of food was perfect and it was insanely good. We have lived in St Pete for 3 years and we can’t believe we had never eaten it. We be ordering plenty more.

After waiting for a Door Dash order for an hour, it was canceled.

I've been there 3 times and every time the food is great. I like the outdoor seating, especially in proximity to the Ale and the Witch live music on the weekends. The staff is friendly and gives my dog water without asking. Highly recommend.

Excellent appetizers, but green curry was quite bland. Salt helped, but it seemed like something important was missing.

My go to noodle spot in St. Pete. Made to order with fresh ingredients. I hit the before music at the Ale and Witch around the corner.

Very inconsistent. Ordered chicken pad thai got 3 or 4 small piece of chicken. Next time I ordered I got so much chicken!! Also very inconsistent on answering their phones. A few times I've tried to order I've called 7 or 8 times back to back for no one to answer the phone at all.

My Mom lives near this restaurant and eats here regularly because the food is simply amazing. I go with her whenever I am in St. Pete and wish I could go every day. The food is so fresh and delicious. We also feel so good after eating it!! My favorite dish is the Panang Curry. My mom's favorite is the oxtail soup. They also have amazing drinks, including some wonderful saki and cool saki cocktails. You will not be disappointed!!!

This place is simply awesome. Best summer rolls I've ever had and I eat Vietnamese in every town I'm in. They even brought it to me curb side which is not a normal service. The food was amazing!!! Thank you, Sab Cafe. We will be returning.

Literally NEVER open based on the posted hours. Just be open for the hours you say you will be open or post new hours.

Seafood pho, vegetable fried rice, chicken stir fry, and pork pho shared between us for lunch on a Sunday. Everything was fresh and delicious. The place was very clean and the service was great. We will definitely be returning.

HAIR INSIDE MY FOOD.
I walked to the Cafe on my lunch break just to be served food with hair in it. I called to talk to the Manager. The Manager did not get on the phone. They told me to call back because they are busy. I was just there. There were 3 guest inside and about 6 guest outside that already had food. Not good at all. I wish I could post the picture on here. I am going to post it on the restaurant Facebook page also.
