We came in very late right before their close. We felt very bad about coming in so late but they couldn't be more welcoming. Large menu with a variety of different Asian foods. Tried the pho and bulgogi. I love all types of Asian foods and I'm in the food industry and both were very good. The waitress was from napel and was the sweetest person, attentive and gave good recommendations. The owner was equally sweet and took the time to say good bye. This is the type of local establishment you want to support. Very good food, large portions and great service.

While I didn’t particularly enjoy my meal (chicken fried rice), the portion size was generous and the service was great. The chicken texture was kinda gross and slimy and the rice wasn’t that great either. I’d give them another try but with another dish. Lady taking order acts like she's psychic and knows what you want without letting you speak, cutting you off and saying I know, I know, I know what you want but when you get your order it's incorrect and not what I requested.
Not worth the money to just be bossed around and then not get what you wanted...

The best Asian restaurant in the Daytona Beach area. The food and service exceeded our expectations. We'll be back!!!

We went to the Rice Bistro a few days ago. The food was all right although the waitress brought 2 wrong things to the table. What really ticked me off is that we were a party of 5 and they racked on the bill a 20 % tip. I will never be back again.

They have such an impressive number of menu items with a vegan option that I found it nearly impossible to choose. I went with the simple tofu and bok choy dish and it completely exceeded any expectations. Everything is super fresh and the sauce is amazing. I will be a regular customer and can’t wait to try more of their dishes.

Order for delivery to Daytona BeachShores- excellent, hot....some of the best egg rolls, Vietnamese Spring Roll, Pad Thai, Beef Ramen Stir Fry and Crab Rangoon. All the dishes were flavorful and spiced just right. Highly recommend!!

We recently discovered Rice Bistro, and it's definitely our new go-to spot! The menu looks great, and everything we've tried has been delicious. We especially love the pho soup, dumplings, and beef sticks. The lady at the front is super nice. We highly recommend!

Our family places take out orders mostly with this restaurant. The food is always delicious and the staff are very pleasant and friendly. Every now and then we get an extra surprise with our meals. Last night it was a container of soup. Highly recommend Rice Bistro for take out, delivery or dining in.

Perfect spot to grab Asian cuisine! Clean, Calm, comfortable atmosphere with a large menu. Everything we’ve had was delicious. Our favorite is the beef stick appetizer and the Pho Special soup for the main course. When the food gets to the table it’s all nice and HOT! Very filling and flavorful. delivered quickly BUT the shrimp shui mai was so salty I ended up throwing it out and the satay chicken was tough. however the pad thai was good and they don't skimp on the shrimp.

We have ordered pickup several times from this restaurant and we have not been disappointed yet. The food has been hot and there have been no mistakes on the order. The staff is very friendly. Recently we have been ordering the velvet corn soup and Singapore Mei Fun both. which are absolutely delicious. The egg rolls are not overly greasy.

There are so many better options for Asian in port Orange. Our favorites were closed so we decided to branch out and try something new. The prices here are much too high (you can get better curry for $5 less down the road). And quality of the dishes were subpar. Will definitely not be back.

Rice Bistro can’t be beat. They are so nice and so customer oriented. The owner is so sweet she comes to your table and checks on you and she is always on the floor . The food is always very hot and fresh. Kudos to the chef the food is also super delicious. We drove all the way from Gainesville just eat there. Thank you guys so much.

I had Walnut Coconut Shrimp. It was delicious as was the food that our other 3 diners had: An update to 2 year ago…. I have continued to eat regularly at Rice Bistro and it has continued to be a favorite of mine. Today, we were a party of 3 and had: sweet corn soup, BBQ Chicken Wings, an Almond Chicken dish and delicious Salted Shrimp.

1 year ago: Korean Ribs, Mongolian Beef, dumplings and soups. The sticky Jasmine rice was perfect. Well worth the visit. A 2021 update. This place is still as good as ever. Excellent menu; excellent food; fresh fish; all good.

Update: 12/31/21 went back for another meal. This time it was Lamb Hot Pot, Thai Basil Chicken and Melon Soup. More yummm.

Update : Well, it is 2024 and Rice Bistro is still my favorite Asian food restaurant in Port Orange. Alice want to make sure you like your meal and is willing to take suggestions.

2/14/24 Lunch today... Kani Salad (shredded crab, onion, cucumbers in a spacy mayo); crab rangoon; pineapple fried rice with shrimp. The Kani salad was mouthwatering! My new favourite!

2018- OMG, the food is out of this world. Daughter and I went here for dinner tonight. Manager came out and talked w/us. Brian the wait staff was excellent, always attentive. The food was amazing! Daughter here in Port Orange after 3 yrs in S.E. Asia, so she knows what she likes w/various cuisines. The meal started w/egg drop soup/ vegetarian soup... yummy.We had "THE BEST" meals. Daughter had PHO and I had a shrimp Com CHIEN. Everything was amazing! (They don't serve sushi any longer) :( Will definitely be eating here way more often.

Ok this is definitely on point with everything!!! From food to service and atmosphere… if I can give it a 20 stars I would! The service was REMARKABLE, place really clean, food tasty and they played that old school alternative rock which I love!!! I can’t get over how amazing this place is!!! My 15 year old said this is his new go to place and he’s very particular about his food so that’s saying a lot!!! Lol oh and they also have gluten free options… 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!

We had a delicious vegan lunch here. Our waitress was really helpful and so friendly. She said that they could basically veganize any dish that we wanted. It was a bit hot (spicy) for me but perfect for my husband, so next time I’ll ask for my meal to be less spicy. And there will be a next time; we enjoyed our meal and the great service here.

Probably one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. I am writing this about my Christmas Day experience. The portions are crazy big, food is really good, and the staff was amazing on this special day. I can't thank them enough for helping us celebrate this Holiday! I will be back again and again.

Always good to try out a new place by having lunch first. So glad I did. My plate had hardly any pork and although it was a Thai dish it used Chinese roast pork instead. The portion was very small and was add VER VERY salty.

Our first visit, and it's become a new favorite! We tried the Hot & Sour and Wonton Soups, the General Tso's Chicken lunch special that came with fried rice and a spring roll, and the Summer Rolls. The service was quick, the food was piping hot and delicious, and our server Alice was awesome. We'll definitely be back.

You will not leave hu gry, and most likely, you'll take something home. Generous portions, and the food is delicious. The only place I've found that actually makes a traditional mustard greens dish in the area.

We had the mango boba and it was delicious! Traditional boba and the texture was perfect. We will definitely be back! It's also one of my favorite lunch spots during the week, their lunch specials are reasonably priced and good portions.

Ive never seen a waitress and a cook do such an amazing job. The waitress ran around about 9 different tables during lunch and kept every group happy. It was insane. The food is good. Service is amazing! The crab ragoons are a must! Will def be back for more.

I did write a review a while back, but it disappeared. I have to say the owner tried to make it right. HOWEVER, what we were told in the resturant and how the owner originally reaponded to my review were 2 different stories.

I will not be going back and should have reported them to the health department. 2 roaches came out one right after another when my coworker and I were having lunch. She smooshed both of them in front of us washing her hands in between. She had set our lunch down to get the roaches before serving us. We did ask to be moved and she gave us each $5 goft cards. We had no intention of returning, so gave them to a lady and her mother who came in just before we left.

I would not go there again based on roaches coming out in the middle of the afternoon. If there's 1 in plain sight during daylight hours, there a thousand more hiding.

First time there was tonight based on a friends recommendation. It was delicious. I had Cashew Chicken and wife had Mongolian beef with two soups and a dumpling appetizer. Food was smoking hot! I like that and great customer service.. I’ll go back.

I’ve lived in Florida for 25 years and Rice Bistro is by far the best Chinese food I’ve had.
We live over an hour away, but make it a point to visit a couple times per year to get our fix.
This weekend we accidentally forgot our credit card at the table (having 3 kids will do that to ya) and when I called to ask if they found it, they kindly offered to mail it to us right away since we were already 30+ minutes away. The staff is so pleasant and the food is amazing.
I highly recommend this place.

It started off good.Crab ragoon was great. Our food came out and this is when it went bad... before our food was given to us, a roach came out of the seat cushion right next to my bosses head. I pointed it out to the lady and she smooshed it with her hand. She did run off to go wash her hand before serving us. She came back and low and behold ANOTHER roach came out of the seat. I pointed it out yet again and she smooshed that one too and ran off to wash AGAIN. She was very apologetic, however it really did ruin the meal. They need a bug service.

I work a mile or so away from this gem of a place! My coworker and I wanted something for lunch other than the traditional drive thru burger or chicken with fries or pizza. We decided to try Ramen, and believe me, it was amazing!! She ordered the chicken and I ordered pork. The veggies were crisp and flavorful. The noodles were cooked PERFECTLY and it was just a warm hug in a bowl!! As we enjoyed the Ramen, we both kept remarking how delicious it was. I promise, you wont regret eating here!! VERY GOOD!! And as far as price, I've spent just as much at McGross and other establishments as I did here and this was 10 million times better!!! I will be a regular!!! Promise!

Update April 2023. Moved to 1star. Went in they had 3 tables with people so we were sat right away. The server that sat us said someone would be right with us. 10 minutes later still nothing. No one ever came to the table. We left.

Went for a family dinner. Food was absolutely awesome. Like most places they are short staffed so just know it will take a little longer for the overall service. However it is 100% worth the extra wait. We had a variety of dishes at the table Chinese, Korean, and Thai. Looking forward to tge next time we go back.

It was after 2 pm when we found this place on the internet. My Husband and I were traveling North on HW I-95.
We had summer rolls and Brisket Pho. The service was great and our food was out quick. Everything was fresh, the soup hot and delicious with a good amount of meat.
The place is also very clean!
We would visit often, but it is a little far from North Carolina!

My friend wanted to try a "new" place for dinner and we decided to take our families to the Rice Bistro for dinner. We both have a passion for Asian cuisine. I love and miss Authentic Korean Food and he used to be a Japanese Sushi Chef. Some of these asian food restaraunts can be sketchy and a complete disappointment. Rice Bistro knocked it out of the park. We decided to try several dishes. I had Bulgolgi and seafood combo stir fry. He had Pho with Brisket. My daughter had a side of Kimchi and chicken Lo Mein.

We started off with just about every dumpling they offered. Steamed or fried, stuffed with all kinds of deliciousness. The Krab Rangoon was completely homemade and came out looking that way. It wasnt some premafe or frozen triangle with the forked edges. It had the perfect balance of creamy rich crab rangoon and dough. The Korean pot stickers or yaki mann do and the asian potstivker dumplings were all perfectly made with the same perfect dough to mix ratios. The kimchi came out and it was definitely home made. The cabbage, onions and spices were perfectly blended. The heat was perfect. Reminded me so much of my time in Korea. Between that and the Bulgolgi, I felt like I was in a tent next to the railroad tracks in Seoul.

The Bulgolgi came out like fajitas sizzling on a hot cast iron pan. Topped with sauteed onions, pickled daicon, and a little kimchi! It was magic in my mouth. I think it hit ever tastbud on my tongue as it went down my throat. It was the best I have had here in the states and definitely brought back to that time in my life. The sauce was sweet and the meat had the just right amount of char. It was delicious! The seafood stir fry recommended by our server was very fresh and delicious. It was packed with scallops, shrimp, squid, and fish.

I will definitely be back. My buddies wife found it and said it was new. Found out lastnight that they have been there for seven years. It was new to us and I have or want to try a lot of other things on the menu.

I had a lo mein dish and it was way too salty. I didn't add salt or soy sauce. Wonton soup was good the 3 year old loved it too.

Had fried rice on December 31st at 10PM. Started vomiting 15times at 12:20AM (Jan 01, 2023), fever, diarrhea….continuing. The vomit is full of fried rice I ate from Rice Bistro. If I head to ER then I am gonna file a complaint about their food quality - (My honest response to all). Thank you

I went there for lunch, it was pretty good, first time I tried this place. Their menu is very extensive. They have Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese… A lot of variety!

Ordered 2x Tempura, Chicken wings, Bulgogi, Bibimbap, Ribs. Took about 1 hour to serve all the food, so my family and I were quite disappointed for our Christmas dinner.

Me and my friends ordered ramen tonight and they didn’t listen to the special instructions. Just wasted $30 on food Im allergic to. Thanks y’all!

Great Asian restaurant! We come to Daytona often from the west coast and this is our new spot! A vast menu to satisfy everyone. Large portions and extremely affordable for our family of 5. The food tastes great and the service is second to none! We'll definitely be back!!!

The food is fantastic and service fast however, I would have preferred to listen to soft instrumental music rather than rock.

I might have been a little more impressed with the food here if I hadn't already went to a Vietnamese restaurant in Riverview Florida. Their version of seafood pho at Rice bistro left a lot to be desired. There was hardly any seafood in it at all and twice they tried to charge me for lobster that wasn't even there. The Vietnamese restaurant in Riverview brought all kinds of little dishes with extra ingredients to add to the Pho at Rice bistro they plopped a bunch of containers in front of me. Won't be back.

I didn’t think I would find authentic Chinese dishes outside of Orlando but here we are!

Because their menu spans all the most common Asian cuisines - Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese - we decided to assess from a few angles.

We started with Thailand and a bowl of Tom kha (coconut lemongrass soup) which while the broth was a tad sweet for me and I was missing the lemongrass and lime leaf, they did excellent with the seafood, adding it just at the end so it was still tender. The chicken satay were perfectly cooked with crispy edges and moist inside, only critique was they put the delicious peanut sauce on top rather than allowing us to dip as we want.

My father tried the sizzling plate with pork intestines and while he usually prefers them fried and crispy these were pillowy soft and tender with an addictive spicy sauce. I opted for the hot pot pork belly which came in big meaty chunks with lightly steamed bok choy that retained its crunch and simmered shiitake, bamboo shoots and whole water chestnuts in a sort of five spice sauce. Delicious and comforting.

Decor is a bit strange, abstract pictures on the walls, a tin siding bar area that looks more at home in a lakeside backyard than a restaurant, but it was comfortable. Service was great considering I only ever saw one guy doing the whole floor (there was only one party when we got there because it was quite early).

Definitely want to come back for other cuisines!

Eggs rolls and Bulgogi are the best I’ve eaten. The pad Thai and Thai basil fried rice are also pretty good.

We are visiting Daytona Beach and were so thankful to come across this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are very courteous and it is a comfortable atmosphere. We wish we were staying longer to enjoy more items on the menu!

Best egg rolls I've ever eaten..I dear I can eat 20 of them and still keep thinking I want more, yet be too full to keep going.

We are patrons normally and love Rice Bistro. However, Hurricane Ian slammed our 55 and older neighborhood. We were totally flooded with no way to get in or out unless it was by boat. After a week we were able to trudge through to get up front, some angels delivered 50 meals donated from Rice Bistro. Hand delivered by residents door to door for those just beginning the recovery process. Our power came back about the same time but the love shared by Rice Bistro this day was icing on the cake. My heart is full as is my stomach.

PLEASEEEE Open one in Orlando! 🙏 I drive an hour out just for the kimchi stew. It's got such a rich, pungent flavor with a slight kick that's so comforting. It's my favorite, and I can't find it anywhere else! My husband, who is EXTREMELY PICKY loves it too. We drove out today for lunch and decided to try something different. I got the Bulgogi and added a fried egg. Insanely flavorful and the char on the meat! It was cooked PERFECTLY, and the yolk was nice and runny, even after sitting on top of the sizzling meat! The Korean Dumplings however, weren't my favorite. I prefer steamed, but my son loves friend so we tried it. He loved them, but they weren't for me. Of course we couldn't leave without taking an order of the kimchi stew to-go for dinner. ;)

Man, any restaurants doing multicultural food. Is not even that good or authentic. They're open for business not doing it with passion. So, I were u and I want chinese food. Please forget about it.

They don't know how to run a business and have no clue about customer service. Stopped in for late lunch July 3rd. Restaurant was not busy and we were seated promptly. Then were ignored for about 10 minutes, not even a glass of water or a hello, so I politely let a staff member know we would like to order. The response was that the person to take our order was on the phone. Waited another 5 minutes while watching that person talk on the phone and left.

The food was delicious. I am normally skeptical about going to a place that doesn't specialize in one kind of food but we ordered Korean Thai in Chinese and they were all very good and fresh. I'll definitely be back

With my time in the Daytona Beach area coming to a close, I had a list of local Asian restaurants to try out. This time it was Rice Bistro in Port Orange. Sad to say I was disappointed by the lack of care and kindness and outright experienced a condescending, snarky attitude and demeanor of the manager/boss. They are of East Asian descent, as I am too. I thought we would get each other, but nope.. When I walked in I grabbed a menu and saw the price of the combination pho was $17, and commented to her that it seemed pretty high, and I remember pho prices costing $9, $10 or $11 before. She said that was five years ago (2017), which is fair.

However she then proceeded to belabor the point by saying: "Do you know? A pound of chicken costs $3.89/lb. at the grocery store. You would know if you went grocery shopping." I do, and I do not grocery shop at places where the chicken is $3.89 per pound. A better response to my comment? She could have either said: "Yeah it's tough, inflation is real," "Sorry that the price is high," or just not said anything at all and acknowledged/nodded to my comment/observation. I asked her if there was a lunch special for pho, and she proceeded to say with an attitude that there are no lunch specials on the weekends. Wow ok.

She then proceeded to ask if I wanted to order, and I told her I would order to-go and showed me to the back. Originally I wanted to dine-in, but her behavior and demeanor warranted a to-go order. Even though the pho was plentiful and tasty, I do not recommend encountering this employee/manager at Rice Bistro. Her actions do not define the other employees. I'm sure the others are more kind and friendly and have somewhat of an empathetic character. If I am a first-visiting customer and who wants to try out the food and pay for it -- you do not operate, talk, or behave in that manner to a paying customer, especially a first-time visitor. I understand the pandemic has thrown a lot of restaurants, food, cost of living and inflation in disarray, totally get that. But to project that onto a customer is excessive.

I get that I should not have made that reactionary comment to start with, but it would've been courteous if they had their prices published on their online menu, so I had somewhat of an expectation of the price.
I have seen some previous reviews from others who have commented on the prices and/or one particular person's behavior, so I am glad I am not alone in this.

The person may have been jaded, tired, frustrated, I don't know, but I sincerely hope they do better. Wish them continued success. In no way does this review reflect on the quality of the food and/or the employees.
