Kamiya 86 is my favorite place for sushi. Their sushi is the freshest sushi in Ponte Vedra. Their service is fast and waiters are friendly too. My favorite sushi rolls are the Yummy Roll, Crazy Dynamite Roll, Snow Mountain Roll, and the shrimp Tempura roll. The clear soup is excellent. Sometimes I dine in and sometimes I take out. Even when taking out food, the service is always on time.

They churn out sushi very quickly. Vegetable tempura, tempura asparagus roll and sweet potato tempura rolls are very delicious. Unique seating space, helpful staff, bamboo separators uplift and set the mood. They have a selection of decent sake!

Today I decided to sit at the sushi bar for the first time ever and had the pleasure of meeting Byron. He started us off with a cucumber salad that was AMAZING as well as salmon in brown butter that was equally amazing! 😋 I ordered a volcano roll that was so fresh, delicious and filling! The presentation was on point! The coconut lemongrass sake was a win also! 100% worth a drive to Ponte Vedra!!!

I went here over a holiday weekend with my parents, and it was very nice. The restaurant was only about a third full and several tables could have used a wipe down. The service was alright (except we had to ask for our bill). They put our assorted ordered sushi rolls on a "sushi boat" (a large platter shaped like a boat) with some extra decorations. It was a thoughtful gesture. All our rolls were delicious and came recommended from our server. I attached a picture of the leftovers we brought home.

Bonus- it is located in a strip mall off A1A, and the restaurant has lots of free parking right outside.

We are from out of town and craving hibatchi. Food was sub-par and service was horrible.

The food was fantastic, however the service was a bit slow. Portions were pretty good overall. Will try again, but felt like a burden for the waitress and it felt a bit awkward... Maybe just a weird night for them.

The kids meal was huge and came out on a giant boat. Ginger salad, perfectly cooked chicken, cpl pieces of broccoli, rice and orange slices.

Love the food. I had a wonderful piece of pan fried salmon. They served it with a peanut sauce. My wife had sushi that was very good. We will be back.

The salmon cuts always have good mix of muscle & fat. The o toro has always been high quality as well.

I came in here a week ago got a drink and a side of fried rice to go with no issue of it being under $10.00 to use my card came in today January 31st 2024 and got just fried rice to go and it was an issue to use my card because it was under $10.00 got told we can accept it this time seriously! where is the sign that says if it’s under $10.00 we only take cash I certainly never saw it anywhere! Maybe post it and don’t be rude about it to your customers!

Oh I didn’t misunderstand you have no sign up and some people do not use credit cards and don’t have them to use and we live in an almost cashless society! Put a sign up that clearly states this policy otherwise to me or anyone else you just want more money spent in your establishment just cause we use a debit card that’s just wrong!

Went for sushi and saki. There were three of us and we all felt everything was excellent.

We have had sushi all over the world and honestly, this might be our favorite place. We were in from out-of-town and just popped in for a quick dinner. The waiter/bartender was awesome and the food was perfection. I highly recommend this place!

Please, improve your soup and sauce recipes. Miso was bland. Peanut Sauce was thin and bland. Sushi rolls were mediocre. Penang Curry was okay…Most unusual Thai Tea we have ever drank and they topped it with whip cream. My Chinese husband was the head chef for Thai Bowls & Sushi of Atlanta.

WOW. ONE OF THE TOP SUSHI PLACES I HAVE EATEN SO far in the US and I’ve had a lot of Japanese food between Hawaii and New York. The sushi quality is premium and worth the price. It is well prepared and you can tell chef know what they are doing. The rolls are made with great care and attention with good flavor. Curry and Thai dishes are excellent-spicy and authentically savory.

We drive here from St. Augustine once a week and have always had a stellar experience both with service and food quality - My partner has severe acid reflux and the staff is always more than happy to accommodate his food limitations - We love their Lobster General Roll, Summer Roll with Duck, Drunken Noodles with Beef and Ginger Chicken, to name a few items - Sophia is an exceptional server and Stephen is a terrific manager - Superior on every level

Absolutely delicious. Ron made a delicious appetizer at the sushi bar counter and everyone was pleasant and the food was great! Highly recommend!! Nice foreign and domestic beer selection for complimentary flavors.

Dry chicken teriyaki I ever had in a bento box? I guess they thought uber customers wouldn’t leave a review. The sushi and the spring rolls were OK. I prefer to dip my spring rolls in sweet-and-sour sauce, then have it spread all over it

This used to be my favorite sushi restaurant and I would religiously order take out at least 2x/month. Recently, I’ve noticed an increase in prices, and usually spent around $100. Meanwhile, they refuse to give shrimp sauce for each person, and will only provide 2 small containers - even upon request. In addition, the last time I had it, I noticed a decline in their quality as well. Disappointed, and now I have to find a new sushi favorite.

I’ve been going to Kamiya since I moved to PVB in 2017 and this has been the spot where I take my family that is visiting, birthdays and special occasions since then. But tonight was terrible. The service was just awful. I ordered 2 rolls, 1 of them was wrong so I told the waitress. She came and asked several times which one we wanted. After telling her, she came back with a plate and with a fork started removing piece by piece the roll that was wrong from the plate next to the other roll that was saying she had to take it back to the kitchen. Terrible feeling. Why she just didn’t take the plate??
Then when the check arrived she explained with a passive aggressive tone why there were 2 numbers but I didn’t understand so I went back to her to ask and she basically yelled at me.

Great pad Thai, too big of portions for one person.... you'll have lots of leftovers.

So kamiya 86 was the typical experience you get when walking in an Asian restaurant.... they barely pay attention to anyone unless they're paying for food. They don't really like you but just tolerate you because they want your money. This is not a place that is budget friendly. I rarely hear orders lower than $90! And it's located in an area that thinks they are better than everyone else...spoiled and entitled customer base from ponte vedra! Believe me if you're not from ponte vedra don't go there because these are spoiled entitled rich people! It's got so bad that the staff act stuck up too!

Poor phone service. Poor quality food. Super salty and the $22 chicken teriyaki was a single dried up breast with 5 pieces of broccoli drenched is super sugary sauce.

Amazing miso soup, sushi and service!

Fresh sushi I thought they had the hibachi tables. But they don’t. If they did they would be extremely busy no hibachi tables here at the beaches.
