Thai cuisine is the national cuisine of Thailand. Blending elements of several Southeast Asian traditions, Thai cooking places emphasis on lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components. The spiciness of Thai cuisine is well known. As with other Asian cuisines, balance, detail and variety are of great significance to Thai chefs. Thai food is known for its balance of three to four fundamental taste senses in each dish or the overall meal: sour, sweet, salty, and bitter.
Went for dinner the other day. Ordered the Basil fried rice. It came out a bit sweet, and so did some of the other dishes my friends ordered. It was sweet for my tastes, but it is preferential.
Asked for a spice rack and some salt, and I had a delicious experience. Their Thai tea was good, too.
The food was just OK overall. I ordered a variety of things to go. The portions are small. The waterfall beef was tough and had chewy tendon parts and was small for $15, definitelynot worth it. The tom yum soup had a light flavor but seemed homemade and not from a paste. The calamari was underwhelming in flavor. The soft shell crab was tasty but was soggy. The panang curry and fried rice was decent. The best thing thing IMO was the Nam sod which I've still had better.
The place looked clean and decent inside.
One thing to note, I used the order ahead and scheduled for pickup about an hour and a half out.. they texted me 15min prior to my order time, saying it was ready. And I wasn't supposed thay my food was cold when I got it home. I guess they started to make mine as soon as I put the order in or close to it, which was unfortunate. Room temp tom yum soup wasn't appealing.
Just had the best Thai I've had in a long time! Several of us had the lunch special that consisted of an appetizer and main course. I chose coconut shrimp and ginger tofu with fresh ginger, veggies, sauce and rice. I could tell it was freshly prepared as everything tasted so fresh! Don't let it fool you, the outside may not look fancy but the inside is packed with flavor!! If I were in the area again, I would definitely go back!
The green curry was tasty! The chicken pieces were all excellent. The service was efficient, and my water glass was always full, even though during the lunch rush they were certainly understaffed.
On the negative side: depending on how hot you order your curry, you will get fewer or more red pepper flakes sprinkled on top of the dish. That's how the heat level is regulated.
Also, the spring rolls were extremely thin and have a minimal amount of veggies between the dough layers. Additionally the oil they were fried in was not hot enough, making them seem too doughy. Actually, the coconut shrimp was not fried hot enough either. I suspect the fryer couldn't keep up with the lunch rush.
The entire parking lot was full when we pulled in. We parked at a business around the corner and walked to the restaurant.
TOP THREE THAI IN ORLANDO! Don't let the fact that this is located in a strip mall fool you; I've tried many other Thai restaurants in Orlando but this is by far one of my favorite ones. They have some unique dishes not typically seen in the average Thai restaurant, but some of their classics were a bit off the mark. Our favorites were the Khao Soi, Smokey Pot, and green papaya salad. However, the Thai Coconut Milk Soup was too sour, tulip dumplings a bit of a disappointment, pad see eu and basil fried rice were just ok. They do give you the spice level you ask for, so take note. Prices are very reasonable. Service was friendly. I'd come back to give their curries a try.
Best Thai in Orlando. Highly recommend massaman curry!
Staff is excellent!
Great dinner, the Thai coconut milk soup was incredible!

I visit SEA Thai often, usually for lunch. The lunch specials are a bargain and I think theirs is among the best Thai food in town. Decor is modern and provides a pleasant casual experience. Recommend!
Our go to take out Thai place. Love the drunken noodles. Absolutely delicious!
Very enjoyable place. Enjoyed the green curry immensely
Been going here for years and it's still wonderful. Friendly staff.
The best soup ive ever had, coming back to try the rest of the menu.
Get the pad woon sen and substitute the noodles for udon noodles. Thank me later! It's worth the $3 upcharge. One of the BEST Thai dishes here in Orlando. Absolutely phenomenal!!! The servers are less likely to smile than other spots, but at least they're being authentic to themselves. Besides, I'm there for the food not for the friendliness.
Thank you chef, the food was spectacular 👌. Every dish was unique and flavorful. Great food, great service, great friends, great conversation, makes a perfect marriage. Will definitely be back. We're still talking about our experience. Thanks 😊
I've tried about 4 or 5 Thai spots around, and this is my favorite. I always order out, so I know the food is good. Inside looks nice too.
Went here as our go to Thai restaurant was closed. Ordered beef khao soi and the broth tasted good but both the dried out precooked beef and noodles were bland (they were not cooked in the broth). My wife ordered the pad Thai which was a small serving and way too much sauce to noodle ratio which resulted in a stuck together clump of noodles. The flavor was way too sweet. Neither of us were able to finish our dishes.
Some really good dishes, particularly their Spicy Basil Noodles. So tasty!
It's one of the best Thai restaurants in Orlando.
Update: as You can see I commented before because I find this Thai restaurant through Uber Eats and I like the food but I posted the amount of rice is really poor.you can see I commented before because I find this Thai restaurant through Uber Eats and I like the food but I posted the amount of rice is really poor otherwise because I like it, I decided to order again through Uber Eats saying the same thing about the rice and they don’t care.then I decided to go in person to try the food and the women with the short hair treat me a little weird and nothing kind . I decided to ignore that behavior and continue try my food. The , thinking about this behavior, I remember that one time ive been driving for Uber Eats pickup to another person and I remember that I I’ve been treated the same way by her. Need to be more kind and to know how to treat the customers cause you have a business here in Orlando. I’m gonna try another Thai restaurant. There’s so many in here!.
Good food and taste but it’s not possible that the amount of jasmine rice that accompanies the curry dish ( GREEN CURRY) is so little. I ordered a curry dish to which rice is added, not a soup.
Best thai in town. I order from here a lottttttt. Get the pad thai!!! Just do it. Their noodles, curries, salads, spring rolls, tofu are all great. They never miss. Their prices are awesome too, considering you always get multiple meals out of what you order!
The flavors are great here and fairly priced. I love their yellow curry and pad thai.
Pay no attention to "Maha" below. She's incredibly ignorant. The service is friendly. The food is delicious.
This restaurant is a great “mama and Papa
Consistently Good,
Great Thai food and seafood
I had unpleasant experience at the restaurant, the waitress spoke with us in very unprofessional tone snd she wade mad, she seated people divided by colors , is not a coincident that all people of color were seated in corner/ and all white people were seated in comfortable seats ( 8 ) table .
The curry was mediocre/ cold
The noodles was good, i recommend the place to the racist or white. Never to people of color . Poor service
Very flavorful food and good portions.
Service was wonderful,
Try the lemongrass soup and shrimp fried rice
Went for dinner the other day. Ordered the Basil fried rice. It came out a bit sweet, and so did some of the other dishes my friends ordered. It was sweet for my tastes, but it is preferential.
Asked for a spice rack and some salt, and I had a delicious experience. Their Thai tea was good, too.
Sea Thai was the second Thai restaurant I dined at in the Orlando area, the first was a palatial spot just down the street from Sea World. This place has been closed for years.
Sea Thai is always consistent, with some of the best panang and masaman curry around. There are many Thai restaurants in the Orlando area, but Sea Thai will be one of my go to places for a tasty lunch or dinner.
😡STAY AWAY🤢
HORRIBLE pain, diarrhea and vomit after eating their food.
Service was terrible as well.
I will NEVER order from this place again.
The food was just OK overall. I ordered a variety of things to go. The portions are small. The waterfall beef was tough and had chewy tendon parts and was small for $15, definitelynot worth it. Best Thai food I've had in a long time! And the staff are all so friendly. Edamame, Pad Sew, Tiger Steak.
Love this place! They’re always so nice and quick. The food is out of this world and so affordable. I had an issue with an Uber order I accidentally ordered and had to cancel and they were super accommodating with fixing the issue. I love Sea Thai! If you’re in need for Thai food around Orlando, this is where you should go.
I have been eating here since 2013, and I have tried too many Thai restaurants in central FL to count. This is the best Thai restaurant in Orlando, the recipe never deviates and it’s ALWAYS good… It has only gotten better over the years, and it was already the best Thai restaurant in Orlando to start.
I love Sea Thai, but unfortunately their portion size is half of what it was as recently as a couple of months ago. We eat or order from here at least once a month and their food is tasty. Can't justify the price with these smaller portion sizes though. They may think customers won't notice, but the regular ones absolutely do. If you are looking to have a little leftover for a late night snack, choose somewhere else.
We eat here all the time and have for the past 7 or 8 years. Love this place.
A long-time favorite! Best thai food in Orlando.
As we were ordering I huge cockroach crawled between my legs on my seat, my husband had to kill it as the waitress just stared at us, we moved ourselves to a new table. The food was good (rice was a bit undercooked) but we didn’t get a discount or at the very least an apology.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Great flavors, curry has a nice robustness to it, the coconut shrimp were excellent. Wish the Thai tea were a bit cheaper or bottomless, but c'est la vie
Our second time here and the food was on point. Great value and authentic Thai food.
Pad Thai is a solid 4/5. Although the flavor is not consistent. Sometimes it’s a little bit more sour than other times. Customer service is not the best here.
I had lunch at this restaurant on Friday and drove 45min to come back. This is the best Thai restaurant in Orlando and the service is fantastic! Highly recommend
Excellent food and service. The food is always fresh and delicious. Full of flavor.
I highly suggest anyone who is hungry to pay them a visit. You’ll be happy you did.
This is the BEST Thai food place in Orlando . I have eaten at dozens and this is bar far the best. Quality of ingredients , flavor and spices . It is top notch . And when you ask for “hot” spice level and it’s actually spice . It’s a win.
I ordered the vegetable in brown sauce with tofu served with rice, it was delicious ! Also try their matcha milk tea .
I look forward to trying their other offerings.
Excellent Thai food. Great ambiance. Food was so fresh and delicious and service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommend.
Hands down best Thai place in Orlando! Tom yum soup is my favorite. They know how to add the kick to it!! King crab dish is to DIE for!!! Also their pad Thai is super delicious. Nothing is greasy or too oily. Great price and fast service!
Our favorite Thai restaurant in Orlando. They definitely use better ingredients than some other places. And they have a nice selection of dishes. My favorite is the spicy basil duck, but the pineapple curry duck is delicious as well. The decor is simple and peaceful. The service is attentive. We also get takeout sometimes and they have an easy online ordering option.
Hands down favourite Thai food in Orlando.
Sea Thai in Orlando is hands down the best Thai restaurant in town. The atmosphere is warm, thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. Each dish is a testament to authentic Thai flavors, but my personal favorite is the Pineapple Cashew Fried Rice - it's a delightful blend of sweet and savory, perfectly cooked every time. Whether you're a Thai cuisine aficionado or trying it for the first time, Sea Thai is a must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience.
Absolutely not recommend this place
Really great Thai food - I especially loved the duck salad! Everything is prepared with particular care and precision.
I’ve lived in Orlando for 20 years and SeaThai is hands down the BEST Thai restaurant in Orlando. I order their curries multiple times a month. Nothing compares to SeaThai!!
The quality of the food was disappointing compared to how it usually was. My family felt the food lacked taste and was not sure what happened. We lived too far away to return it, but we could not eat most of it 😭
Honestly the best beef fried rice in orlando
Seems decent.
Food was really good. Amazing service with our big party. Will go back again.
Ordered food delivery from this restaurant. I ordered Tom Kha Gai soup, Pineapple fried rice, and green curry. Everything was great, especially the pineapple fried rice!! Good portion and reasonable price, will order again!
Always delicious and a great lunch deal 😋
TOP THREE THAI IN ORLANDO! Don't let the fact that this is located in a strip mall fool you; I've tried many other Thai restaurants in Orlando but this is by far one of my favorite ones. I tried the pineapple duck curry it was delicious 10/10. I recommend getting extra order of rice with it, and maybe skip on the appetizer since it’s a lot of food.
My girlfriend got the yellow curry with chicken 8/10. Slightly smaller portion compared to the duck curry.
We both left very happy.
I’ve been going to Sea Thai for years and it is definitely local favorite, also my favorite Thai in Orlando. Tasty and high quality food with reasonable prices.
Their crispy boneless duck on any curry is always 10/10. Chicken satay was juicy, well seasoned and paired well with their peanut sauce. All noodles are delicious!
In our quest to find the best pad thai, they placed very high with a thick dark and spicy version. Spring rolls with plum sauce were excellent.
Best Thai in Orlando so far
Have only done delivery from them, but always outstanding. Tried many different things on menu and everything is great.
Always great. Lunch special is a great value
Great food and service!
My favorite thai place in Orlando. I love love the yellow curry.
8/2023:
Still good. Prices are still pretty reasonable too. Pineapple Fried Rice was very light on the pineapple. Coconut broth soup was great. No refills for green tea, which is always annoying because it's so cheap to make :(
2019:
We frequent both Thai House and S.E.A. Thai. They are both very good. I used to think Thai House was the best in town, but I've found that I like S.E.A. Thai just as much if not more these days, even though they are a little different. I think the seafood combination in garlic pepper sauce is outstanding, though may not be traditionally Thai. I like all their curries and curry-related dishes, and all the standard stuff like phad thai, satay, etc. The sticky rice w/ coconut ice-cream is even better than other places I've had it at. The ambiance is chic and clean, and all the servers are friendly. I should note that their food is on the sweeter side.
Went a couple weeks ago for lunch. Ordered fried rice and veggies with chicken, Thai hot.
So so good!!!
Pineapple Duck Curry and Tiger Tear Steak were absolutely delicious. All the food we ordered was great. 10/10
Amazing food, favorite Thai place in Orlando hands down. Get the green or panang curry and the pineapple fried rice.
My go-to Thai place they always hit the mark with the food & service
Food is pretty good but the server is very rude and impatient (even when the place is empty). The restroom is always gross and all members of the kitchen staff use the women’s restroom for some reason. Not really a problem unless they leave the toilet seat up and get urine everywhere (but they do). I stopped going for a while and went again after a few years and it hasn’t gotten better.
Most delicious Thai food I have ever had. It's fresh and I dream of it. I always get something to go as well because I do not live close. The wait staff is friendly & prompt.
Always the best Thai in town!
Salmon with garlice and pepper is awesome. Donut is delicious
In my opinion, I never going back to this place. The food was not authentic at all (at least not the pad Thai and the curry masala that we ordered). Not a good service as well.
Best Thai in Orlando hands down. Cute atmosphere, chill music, nice staff AMAZING FOOD that was super fast hot and fresh to the table. I will be back again and again!
Great Thai food in town.
This place is an unsuspecting little gem. Seems like a family owned place. Nice ambiance and decor inside. Friendly staff and great food. We ordered summer rolls as an appetizer and they were awesome! Then for our entrees, we ordered shrimp and broccoli and tiger tear steak. Then of course topped it off with some thai donuts!
Would highly recommend and will definitely return!
Place USED to be great. Now it has very small portions and every dish is VERY watery.
The sign out front says voted best Thai food in town and I agree.
I came here with my friend and can see why it won best Thai restaurant in Orlando. I had the Thai tea, Pad Thai, and coconut ice cream with sticky rice. Overall phenomenal from start to finish. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend to anyone in Orlando!
Sea Thai is pretty darn good. While they aren’t the best Thai restaurant they have some good flavors going. They recently changed their Tom yum soup from something bland to something much better. Their noodles are very good.
Fresh, tasty, reasonably priced
Very watery curry
Minimal gluten free options. Good flavor and spice. Be careful to specify NO spice a few times if you truly do not want spicy food.
Sea Thai is always excellent. Wonderful food and great atmosphere.
I have been going to SEA Thai for years. By the way SEA stands for South East Asia and isn't indicative of an all seafood menu like I was afraid of. For years SEA Thai has been the best Thai restaurant in Orlando hands down. Recently I've gone a few times and things haven't tasted the same. Still good Thai food, don't get me wrong, but not the knock your socks off flavor explosion in my mouth I've come to expect.
Recommendations: fresh summer rolls, thai iced tea, garlic lime edamame, red curry, yellow curry, masaman curry, pad thai.
One of our go-to spots for Thai food. Always hits the spot.
Just ordered for the first time through Uber Eats. The crab wontons were amazing, the inside was fluffy and decadent. I tried the pad Thai and pineapple fried rice and both were superb!
Absolutely delicious. Glad to have heard about this place. Drive 45min and it was worth every mile.
I didn't think the curry there was very good at all. The one thing I really didn't like. Was that when you go walk up to the restaurants? They have planners all in the front and all of the plants in the planters were dead. It was so unappealing to walk up there and eat. They really should take care of that. I will not go back and I didn't think the food was that great anyways period
What a gem of a restaurant family-owned it appears and is absolutely excellent food!
I had high hopes for this restaurant. As a newcomer to the city, I found it by searching “best Thai restaurants in Orlando” and saw it has won several local awards. But my experience was below par. My appetizer was akin to crab rangoon (don’t remember exact name); it was not cooked through and was cold in the middle. My entree (pictured) was just ok — but I will say there was a good amount of protein in the dish. There were also ants crawling on the wall.
The best place that has ever existed.
Food in this restaurant it’s AMAZING ❤️❤️❤️
The staff it’s so friendly and fast.
Every time I recommend this place for my friend 🤗
Great food and price
New favorite Thai restaurant! Food was delicious and service was incredible!
Amazing food & a great time. Very approachable for those not familiar with Thai cuisine. Highly recommend!
Likely the best Thai in Orlando, every dish I've had from here has been simply great. They offer some of the best thai deserts around too, I highly recommend the mango and sticky rice.
Older Thai lady who seated us and took our order really lacks customer service skills. She was so rude and aggressive that we almost walked out when she was taking our order. She should not be working with customers.
Food quality was as expected. No difference in taste and flavor in Tom Yum seafood. Some people in our group got Thai hot, other medium hot. Tasted the same for both.
Always has been good!
I really like the food
I want to start by saying this is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in Orlando but I'm beyond disappointed with them tonight. Tonight's dinner without a doubt had to have been burnt badly and instead of remaking the dish they pulled the burned part off and sent the order out for delivery. The whole thing taste like trash with flecks of burnt trash. How cheap/lazy must a chef/restaurant be to risk sending a dish of such poor quality. Order at your own risk because if this is their new standard who knows what other things they're doing to cut cost.
Had the basil fried rice with chicken and the Thai soup with lemon grass and omg so so good now the fried rice I had no spice because I don't do spicy like that and so spot pm. Definitely recommended
Located in a strip mall with Eyeglass World. Fast and friendly service. Had the Thai Salad with a delectable peanut sauce! Entree was a very flavorful Shrimp Red Curry with brown rice. I appreciated how much Thai Basil was in the dish, as well as how crisp the vegetables were. An absolute delight.
Always on point
Always enjoy lunch time here. Authentic Thai food but not over priced!
Medium is too hot. Delicious food. Good service.
The tiger tear steak was amazing. The sauce provided was perfect for the steak. The wait staff was amazing.
I really enjoy the food from this place. You have varied Thai options and everything is delicious. Choose the protein and then choose how you want it prepared, accompanied with rice or noodles.
It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but walking in to Sea Thai was one of the best choices we made. The food was remarkable and the variety was just the right amount. Everybody we had I remember thinking I wish this dish was 10 times bigger so that I could just keep eating it. It’s one of my wife and I’s favorite date spots in the area.
Fantastic in all
Awful. So rude and the food was marginally so so. My dinner was freezing and when I told them they got so mad I got nervous. Horrible place honestly. So many better options in Orlando. No idea why the Best” label is here. My God.
5 stars for the food. Service was very friendly but on the slower side. Delicious hot ginger tea w/ lime, brewed iced tea, cucumber salad, red curry, pad see ew, tom yum, pad thai, wonton soup, and thai iced tea. First time here, and would definitely return.
The food was good I enjoyed it. If you like spicy food and a comfy place to eat at, this is the place for you. But one specific older waitress was really upsetting to talk to. It was kind of hard trying to order from the menu since it was our second time of being there. I did nothing to provoke such a bad attitude from her. I'm not sure of her name but she made my mom feel anxious and uninvited in the restaurant. The younger people working there were pleasant and seem to be nice though!
Told them to make it spicy as possible and they did 10/10 tysm
Ordered through Uber Eats. Panang curry tasted the right amount of spicy and flavorful. Thai soup tasted like most Tom Khas. Thai fried rice disappointed though because the rice didn’t get cooked all the way and had a hard middle.
LOVE TO GO THERE....the food is always great (thanks to Obel & Roberto's great team) and the service is.... just like walking into a Thai house.
LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Great casual place for Thai. The appetizers are fantastic, I like the special sauce they use instead of the same old gyoza or sweet n sour sauce. The pad thai could have been a little more flavorful but altogether a solid place to have lunch.
Waiter was very rude.
Excellent! Recommended.
Fresh and delicious food.
I think I liked this place more before the pandemic. Menu and portions can improve.
Horrible experience. Would not recommend. Snuck $10
I placed an order for pickup and when I got home they forgot the rice for my red curry. I called the restaurant to let them know, and he offered to drive it to my place! That's quality customer service! These people obviously care about their customers. Such very nice people and fantastic food! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This place has won best Thai restaurant in Orlando for two years in a row now, according to the readers of Orlando Weekly, whom I trust very much with food recommendations. So I had to come and check this place out. It's just hanging out nonchalantly on the side of Colonial. No frills or anything on the outside.
On the inside, however, is a nice, classic interior that felt very Thai to me. I've never been to Thailand, but I still got the vibe. Anyway, we got seated and started ordering fooood.
Started off with the Fried Tofu (Golden battered fried tofu, served with a sweet chili sauce). The fried tofu was great! I like my tofu nice and firm, and it would have to be in order to hold up to the battering and frying process. Nice and crispy on the outside, soft, creamy tofu consistently on the inside. Served with the classic sweet chili sauce, and this was a winner.
I also got my hands on the Summer Roll Shrimp. These are super fresh. The Huge, plump shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the mega crunchy lettuce inside really makes this a light, fun little app.
For my main event, I chose the Pineapple Duck Curry (Crispy boneless duck, pineapple, tomato, sweet basil, bamboo, bell pepper, & eggplant in red curry cream sauce). Wow. The duck, as advertised, had very crispy skin. Veggies aplenty, with my favorite being the sweet pineapple. Of course, the make or break of this was gonna be the sauce, and yes, it is jam packed with creamy, curry-y deliciousness. I was a HUGE fan, and I do recommend this.
I also got to sample the Woonsen Pad Thai (Jumbo fresh water prawns, glass noodle, bean sprout & peanut). You only get three huge prawns on this dish, so they better darn well be cooked good. And they were. It was like eating three mini-lobsters. You know what glass noodles and bean sprouts are like, so just take a bite of this, a bite of that, and this is a really fun dish, too.
Overall, wow, this was great. Everything was so good and way way better than the Thai offerings that generic Asian restaurants have to offer. Find this hidden gem, and give them your patronage.
Excellent Thai food. We were four and tried so many dishes and they did not disappoint. Good service and nice atmosphere. We’ll recommend to everyone I know for sure 👍👍👍
Very tasty food, good quantity, plenty of protein in each plate.
Very delicious food and friendly service.
I always love coming here. Great food and great service.
Come here a couple times a week, it’s always good! Everyone is so friendly, the portions are good and the takeout is always fresh and super hot.
The food was tasty..had a dish with duck but seemed to be a little skimmy. I have been there before & enjoyed my meal, So will definitely go back.
