Great izakaya style hole in the wall with fresh food and amazing service. Their selection of sake is also great and the prices are very affordable for Miami. We love going to Sushin when we want a more layback dinner reminiscing of the izakayas in Japan. Always my go to place.
THE FOOD IS AMAZING. We had a group of 8, we all ordered different things and every order was delicious. Props to the chef/cooks. I gave 5 stars because the food was so yummy. Ok, so the service was not warm and friendly as we would have liked but honestly, the meal was so good we overlooked it. If you don’t need to be pampered and just want some great sushi, this is the place for you. (Some music would have been nice for ambience)
The Sushi is so good, I wish I could give it 5 stars, but unfortunately I feel the service and ambiance can be improved quite a bit. Dragon rolls were delicious and freshly made, as well as the Mexican roll. No refills on anything and it's not explained on the menu or by anyone. Unfortunately they don't even greet you as you walk in, they just point at a table. Honestly this place would be top notch if they just put a bit of ambient music, or said hello, please, and thank you. Unfortunately I probably wouldn't return despite having good food, just because I prefer places that put more love into their business and the way they treat guests.
Amazing place! The sushi is super fresh, the curry was also super great. Sticky rice is and will always be the best dessert ❤️
I’ve been coming to Sushin since I was young. I really love the cozy vibes of the restaurant. I can always count on this place for fresh Sashimi. We always get the sushi boat for two and tuna tartare sandwich when we come, and the ice cream tempura is a guilty pleasure I always look forward to.
I was sad when they changed management, but the new owners are just as nice and added a bunch of really good Thai options to the menu! I’m happy they’re keeping Sushin alive!
Favorite Japanese restaurant in all of south Florida. That is a steep statement but I stand by it firmly. The food has always been absolutely delicious for many many years. I loved the original location and was so sad when they had to move and downsize.
This small shop has always warmed my heart and my stomach is some of the freshest, best, flavorful sushi and soups and dishes of all kinds for over a decade. The Ninja roll is a personal favorite. Their Tempura Udon is the best I've ever had. The broth is so simple but perfect all at the same time. Their Tempura is always super hot and crunchy and never heavy or greasy. Light and airy. The Salmon sashimi price and portions here bring me coming back always. Super fresh thick slices of fish every time. Not living in south FL anymore pains me because I can't have Sushin any time I want. A guaranteed must stop to eat here any time im in town. You won't ever regret coming here for a meal. Complements to the chef who has worked there all these years. You truly have one of the best restaurants in town in my eyes.
Amazing place! The sushi is super fresh, the curry was also super great. Sticky rice is and will always be the best dessert ❤️
I ordered a few Thai dishes, soup and stir-fry. Very salty and stir fry was unexpectedly sweet too. Maybe the Japanese food is better balanced.

The 3 fish roll and sashimi combo of tuna/salmon was fantastic!
Bien
Friendly and quick service. We ordered salmon sushi, kanisu, and combo fried rice. Delicious! Will definitely go again.
Very sad to know that there is a new management and chef, many years ago we were every week clients, today 3/17/2024 we went and very disappointed with the food and the new chef,I couldn’t eat the chicken teriyaki it had no taste and it was uncooked. Anyway we were charged for it. I will let everyone I know my experience and we will not go back.
Now under new management. I was skeptical when the menu was changed but tried it anyway. Did not disappoint. Love that there is a Thai and Japanese menu, I've tried different items on both. Food is still fresh and delicious. For me the service is better now as well.
Was so great for years, new management delivering lower quality on lots of their dishes. Unfortunate 😭
New owners, new menu and the service is very slow. Not what it used to be. In my humble opinion, if they wanted to buy a Japanese restaurant why totally change what was working very well before? They only care about the new point of sale and not the loyal customers. All the old customers were accustomed to their existing excellent recipes, why not minimally change and/or add some and leave the rest alone? As for me, sorry, but they lost me as a customer.
Under new management? Huh well doing great so far! Used to come here as a kid. The ladies up front are always so nice! Coming here again and again...
As a thai person who eats here. I definitely want to go back again. The food was amazing and authentic.
FYI it’s new owners and they may claim to have recipes from the previous owner but I honestly don’t believe it. I was a regular and won’t be going here anymore. Ordered something from their old menu because I was told they could still make it, they can’t. Rest in peace good noodle place, they messed up the broth. Tasted like hot water. The waitress was very nice though. That’s not enough sadly. The three stars are for the waitress. The Resteraunt deserves two stars for the food.
Food is good. Easy parking.
Quiet, friendly. Authentic food.
This is the most underrated sushi place in south Florida! The salmon comes from Scotland, which is way better than the Chilean salmon. Melts in your mouth like butter! I appreciate the thicker cuts chef gives also. Tempuras are cooked just right. We live in Broward, but whenever we’re in the area we make it a point to come here cuz it’s definitely worth it!
The cook and the host were fighting. Ordered ramen, and it had absolutely no flavor.
The food is great , they have lunch specials that come with a lot of food. The only thing I would say needs work is the service I feel they can do a better job at making customers feel more welcome but that won’t stop me from coming what matters most to me is that the food is good
Food is delicious, but service is not that good. The waitress was rude and she was clearly in a bad mood.
Horrible service I stood and waited 10minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant when I asked if I could sit down in back the waitress looked at me with face of death and sighed .... If it's to much work to sit someone down I'd hate to ask for food... Horrible
Best sushi in Miami always fresh
The worst Chinese Suchi I ever eat in my life.
Absolutely the best sushi
Food is spectacular! You can tell the chef truly loves what he does. Servers are great as well!!!
Favorite
This restaurant, is one of the best in Miami, real and authentic japanese food. Prices are fair and good service.!
Great food!
Good prices!
They do a lot of food to go.
The restaurant is always empty, not a fancy place.
The one thing that I do not like is the service, is got a lot to be desired. Not friendly at all.
The language barrier could be a fact, don't know 🤔 maybe.
They rushed you to eat your meal... as if the restaurant was packed 🙄. Don't get it, the place is empty.
I like their food, so I keep going back 😋 I just ignore the service. 🫣

Excellent
Sou cliente a 10 anos e sempre volto, comida fresca e muito bem feita!
Minha família adora o atendimento.
The best sushi and Japanese fare in Miami. Chef's buy the freshest fish in town. Love this place.
The food is really good and steamy delicious! Also the tempura is really good
Went for a late lunch and was very impressed by the quick attentive service, the food was delicious, very generous portions, the dragon roll was exquisite. My mom really liked her chicken teriyaki bento box!! Will definitely be back
Espectacular!!
Great little place that has been in business for many years that takes time and care to give you a delicious meal.
Always come here it is my favorite Japanese restaurant the grilled squid is always delicious
The best sushi in Miami. The Best chef
Kyon.
I only ordered take out. The females who assisted my (on the phone and in person) were very unfriendly. I felt like I was a bother to them. At the time of my order, the restaurant wasn't even busy (tables were mostly empty). I only ordered a soup. It was ok but because of the unfriendly service I would not revisit this place.
Best place to eat sushi in Miami! I have been looking for places to eat sushi and this one takes the cake. Will definitely come back soon!!
Amazing sushi. Highly recommend
Excellent sushi, noodles and sashimi. Service is good but not warming. Cold as Ice.
I been going there for many years now. If you want quality and fresh food this is the place to go. The chef is very nice and personable. Price is good for the amount of food you get. I also do take out and never had an issue. Highly recommended.
Malísimo. Mala comida y mala atención.
Very good food. Service also very good.
Best sushi I've had in Miami. Every time I come here I'm satisfied with my food and service and quality is consistently great. They also accept Apple Pay.
Honestly the best sushi and Japanese food I’ve ever had in all Florida
Muy buena la comida y excelente servicio
Food very good. Short staffed
The best Japanese restaurant in the town. I lived in Miami for 8 years, it was my favorite one. High qualify food with very reasonable piece. The chef and staffs are all very kind and nice. This place makes me missing Miami so much!
The Sushi is so good, I wish I could give it 5 stars, but unfortunately I feel the service and ambiance can be improved quite a bit. Wow, I’ve been to many sushi restaurants all over Miami, and by far, Su Shin the best sushi restaurants by far!!! Like no other..! AMAZING!!
Just tried yesterday the food is delicious. Highly recommend!
This unassuming place, tucked in the middle of a strip mall, easily missed driving by. Use your Google. There's plenty of parking but difficult to get a an empty spot close by. The place is warmly decorated, lots of stone work. It's very modern with a touch of Asian accent. come by and get away from your everyday burgers and beers. instead, have some refined cultured sushi and saki. good sushi begins with your nose. You will not twitch your nose here. The sashimi were delicate and fresh, delicious. As simple as it is, I remember the rice the most. It was done to perfection. It's the little things that make a place great. Over all very clean with good service to match.
Highly recommend the Bento Box with the Salmon teriyaki, was delicious and very satisfying.
Favorite Japanese restaurant in all of south Florida. That is a steep statement but I stand by it firmly. The food has always been absolutely delicious for many many years. I loved the original location and was so sad when they had to move and downsize.

They need help with staffing. One cook in the kitchen. Food was okay.
Service here sucks , and the food is mediocre tbh , the only good thing is the fast service. Pad Thai downgraded in quilate which is sad.
One of my favorite sushi places in the Miami area, highly recommend.
Sushi was fire! Sooo good. But the lady had a terrible attitude. First off if its a $10 limit for debit cards then maybeeee... advertise that at the door? Not only did she snatch my card from me but she also laid my food down with no care. Honestly wanted to leave without the food but since I paid for it I took it. Food is 5 stars.. service.. terrible. Do better
Also, yes I am african American
How on earth is this place even above a star? Place is straight garbo on all levels, not even run by Japanese.
Food was decent if mediocre. The waiter wouldn't let us even refute a charge on an order we made, claiming that since they made it they couldn't take it back. The tuna on the Red Dragon Roll looked old and miscolored and we knew if we ate it we would get sick. Poor communication from the staff all around.
I love it. Always fresh food and authentic Japanese food.
Went here last week. The food was great! Had two Beauty and the Beast Rolls with my date. Had lots of fun with the cashier lady because I couldn’t figure out a way to use the chopsticks till she got me a little plastic for them. Very friendly staff!
Best sushi in town. Portions are great , they don't mix their tuna with Mayo to stiff you on the quantity, and the services incredibly fast.
We love this place because your family owned and a treat you like family when you're there. We've been going to them since their old location and their new location for 20 years.
Very disappointing on all levels... service was not very personal and seemed to be bothered by questions, since I'm not well informed on Japanese terms my inquiries where met with cold ambiguous response. We asked for recommendation that would give us variety and where suggested a plate full of all the same types of rice rolls with 3 different fish..will never go back. Have 2 stars only because the did was edible...at least they have that going for them.
If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. Everything here is very fresh and authentic. The sushi here is the best and for the price you can’t beat it! The service is great and quick. Overall this is a phenomenal restaurant.
Es mi lugar favorito donde comer sushi . Los rolls los mejores y el pescado crudo las piezas son responsables y no tan caro como en otro lugares . Les recomiendo su tuna tartar el mejor
Ordered Takeout Bento Boxes for dinner yesterday and they were A-AMAZING! So well prepared; super fresh sashimi and sushi rolls; the ginger dressing for the salads is delish - we were most certainly well fed and thoroughly enjoyed all the goodness in the pack and preparedness.
No good
I like the variety of food and it's really good
Bad smell upon entry. Fast service. So so food
We love this place because of it's legitimate Japanese cooking. The food is delicious, only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because of the service. The ladies that work there are not very friendly. However, the chef behind the counter is so nice!
NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN!! I called the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to make sure they were going to be open on Thanksgiving Day & they told me they'd open at 5pm. It's 5:15 and no one is answering! I don't eat Turkey & they just ruined my Thanksgiving cause now I don't have dinner to eat with my family. Absolutely ridiculous.
Bad service they didn't even try to help us the food wasn't that great and the server was not so nice
Have reviewed this excellent Sushi place on Sunset and SW 117 Av before. My Go-To Chef for more than 2 decades. Never ordered anything that I did not eat entirely. Never felt the need to complain, return, or considered any dish average. Yes my wife and I have been enjoying meals there and they know us, but the service has been consistent since we were virgins to Japanese cuisine.
Sushi is always on point!
AMAZING!!
Geniallllllllllllll.
Very good place
The food is always fresh, and the service is good.
Can't way until I came back
Buen trato servicio algo lento, comida exquisita y buenos precios
Best shushi ever, the cook is great and service is good. Love it everytime. Come and you will not be disappointed.
Really bad customer service. Waiter denied my 2 year old son a high chair. She told me my son was to big for a high chair. Thats absolutely ridiculous. I felt so insalted. After so many years of given them business, and going with our whole family, they did not care and pretty much just insisted that our 2 year old son was too big for the high chair.
Family-run with high-quality food all around. The noodle variety is an adventure in and of itself. Generous portions.
Always nice to dine here, usually not crowded!
Excellent! First time I have been here and I love the food and service!
Fresh sushi
Get the Ninja Roll 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Best Tuna Poke I’ve ever had. Simple yet delicious.
Small place but very cozy clean and fast service.
Authentic
Rico
My favorite spot in kendall! its a bit of a drive ffrom me, but so worth it!
Best sushi in kendall, no doubt! A must try if you live in the area. The service may be a bit off putting at first, but the food is delicious and well worth it. The chef is amazing and very friendly. Have been going for years and will continue to do so in the future
One of the better sushi places in miami.
I absolutely love this place. First, I came here with my friends for the first time and when I let the waiter know, she was very kind and recommended me specials. They offered us wonderful menu opens and because I have a lot of food allergies, they ensured I would not get an allergic attack and spoke with the chef (who is phenomenally well crafted in his work). The food is authentic, the ambiance is breathtaking, and the service is fantastic. I moved to Miami Gardens and I’m still taking the 45 minute drive just to get their bento box and red bean ice cream. I personally recommend their lunch specials as well as their rolls. If you’re not really into raw fish, they have tempura options that are extremely delicious. For sweets, I highly recommend the tempura ice cream with red bean and the fried donuts(which comes with condensed milk)!
Deliciosa comida
Most underrated sushi spot in town. The staff and chefs are amazing. I’ve never had one complaint about this place other than I can’t eat more lol
Excellent sushi
Truly a hidden gem in Kendall. So small you will likely miss it. I know I did. Sushi rolls were fresh and portion perfect.
Been there twice now and it’s pretty good!
La peor comida, super caro. Mal servicio.
The food is really good
Recycle lots of food, but just ok
I've been going here since the early 2000s when they were initially located on 72nd and 107th. Lunch specials are amazing and prices are good. If you are gonna get the pad thai, be prepared to eat. The fish is fresh. I've seen the chef cut tuna that has been brought in. Sometimes the staff is small, so you may have to wait. However, it will be worth it.
Good job rolls
Great Japanese food, Great price!
Oh! Este restaurant de comida Oriental, es mi preferido. Su comida es exquisita. Y excelente atención. Se los recomiendo.
Excelente
The Sushi was AMAZING!! Very very tasteful, but the service not so good. The tips should go to the cook because the waitresses are not very friendly.
Delicious
The best sushi in town, always fresh, and great service!!!!!
Great go - to spot for sushi. Always parking and the food is consistently good.
